that is unavailable'
It appears to looking for something calles 'PatchPackage.msp?

Here’s a trick to install 8.02 patch of Dreamweaver on Windows 7 machine.
1.     Download the file from the link below.
http://www.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/ts/documents/kb400150/DW802_unwrapped.zip
2.      Unzip the installer to a folder which can be easily located.
3.     Now run a command prompt in elevated mode.
To do so,
a)      Go to start and type cmd in the search field.
b)      Right click on cmd from the list and choose run as Administrator.
4.     Navigate to the saved folder where patchpackage.msp file is located and type in the following.
msiexec /update patchpackage.msp
5.     Press Enter.
6.     The patch will begin to install.
By now you should have successfully installed  8.02 patch.
Make sure you UNZIP the installer file and Save it to an easily accessed folder on your hard drive such as MYDOWNLOADS or whatever folder you typically use.  If you're unable to save or access the file, you need to log-off and log-on as Administrator.
Browse to the file and type the command string exactly as shown above.  It should work.

  • How to install DW 8 Patchpackage.msp for Windows 7?

    I have DW 8 which ran great on Vista Home Premium. I have upgraded to Windows 7 and have many issues with DW 8.
    I would like to install the 8.02 patch, but it will not install via usual method. I then downloaded Patchpackage.msp and have attempted to install it via the Command Prompt. As I am not familiar with this maneuver, I need some help to accomplish this. Can anyone offer any assistance in this matter?
    Thank you in advance,

  • Dreamweaver 8 under Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hi there.
    I've been using Dreamweaver 8 under XP very happily for several years but have recently upgraded to a new machine running Windows 7 Home Premium.  Dreamweaver 8.0 installs OK but when I try to run the patch to upgrade to 8.0.2, I get an error message to the effect that the wizard was interrupted and failed to install.  The main issue with this is that the web site management set up fails to save the user name and password, which is a bit of a pain.
    I've read that by upgrading to Windows 7 Professional and installing the XP Emulator that this problem *MAY* be resolved, but I'm reluctant to pay the additional cost if it doesn't actually work.
    Has anyone any experience of solving this problem, and how did they do it please?
    Regards
    Phil

    Phil, try this:
    - Unzip the 'unwrapped' installer to a folder that is easily reachable by the command prompt (file patchpackage.msp)
    - Open up a command prompt as an Administrator. (Right click the icon and choose run as Administrator)
    - Navigate to where the patchpackage.msp is located and type in the following and press enter:
    msiexec /update patchpackage.msp
    The patch, after a short delay, will begin to install. During the install you may be asked for the CD because it will look for the Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.msi file although I didn't get that as the copy of DW8 was a download purchase rather than disk.
    Once the install is complete 8.0.2 will be installed.

  • How can I update Dreamweaver 8  to 8.0.2 if I don't have the  .MSI file?

    How can I update Dreamweaver 8  to 8.0.2 if I don't have the  .MSI file?  I have moved this old copy to newer computer/operating system and don't have all the original discs and things.

    Donny4646 wrote:
    And you can move an installed application if you move a few other files manually and without getting into the registry.
    I'm very skeptical about that as I have dozens of Registry entries associated with my older DW installation.
    Still trying to assist anyway. Check this thread for a reported successful resolution
    https://forums.adobe.com/message/4215502
    Also try this:
    Download the unwrapped 8.0.2 update from Adobe: http://kb2.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/ts/documents/kb400150/DW802_unwrapped.zip
    Extract the files into a root directory. There should be only one MSI file.
    Open an administrator privilaged command prompt by typing in the Start menu "Command" and right clicking the "Command Prompt" option and selecting "Run as Administrator"
    Navigate to the directory you extracted the files to using the CD command
    Once in the directory with the MSI file run the following command: msiexec /update patchpackage.msp
    Step through the installer, and everything should be fine, open Dream Weaver and go to Help -> About to verify the patch installed.

  • Dreamweaver 8 on Win 7

    Why does Win 7 PC hang when i start Dreamweaver 8.

    Hi Preran
    Refer my previous post.  I have done all of that and installed ver 8.0.2 by installing the patchpackage.msp as indicated in the link.  But Dreamweaver still will either not load or gets to the opening window and has a message that it is Initialising Server Behaviours and that the version is 8.0.2.  But that is as far as it goes.  It won’t load past that and sits there forever until I shut it down via the Task Manager which says that it is not running.
    Do you have any more suggestions.
    Thanks

  • Unable to open PWA in browser and MSP on application server in project server 2007. ERROR: Sending the Soap message failed or no recognizable response was received.

    Hi All,
    I am using project server 2007 and WSS 3.0.
    I have been facing a strange issue for couple of days. I am unable to open PWA in browser and MS Project Pro on application server.
    Everything is correct whether it is URL or MS Project profile account on MSP.  This is strange because i can open same PWA/MSP from other computers (Database server / Client PCs) but not locally on server.

  • Deploying Office 2013 x64 - feature installation state msp not applying

    So I created my MSP with setup.exe /admin and configured a number of options in it. I saved the msp as "1Office64bit.msp" and saved it into the Updates folder. I also have a service pack for Office 2013 in the Updates folder.
    I created an SCCM application to deploy office. My deployment installation program looks like this - setup.exe /config proplus.ww\config.xml
    During my SCCM Build and Capture task sequence Office 2013 installs, the updates apply, and all of the settings in the MSP apply except for one. I specificed in the msp feature installation states to NOT install the Outlook feature, but it's not working?
    Also - as a test after the task sequence completes, I run "msiexec /p \\pathtomsp\1Office64bit.msp - and it removes Office like it should. But I don't know why this doesn't happen during the initial installation?

    You should use either a config xml file or an MSP during the installation of Office (2013). In your current command line it looks like you're trying to use both. As you saved the MSP file in the updates folder, simply specifying setup.exe should be enough
    to start the installation and let it use the MSP.
    My Blog: http://www.petervanderwoude.nl/
    Follow me on twitter: pvanderwoude
    So I tried just running setup.exe and it doesn't seem to be working either. I verified in the ccm appenforce.log that the install command was just setup.exe (so the change made it to the client) but Outlook was still installed.
    I'm going to try changing it to setup.exe /adminfile to see if that works.

  • Consolidating MSP Files using a variable as the filename

    Hi All
    I am trying to consolidate a number of MSP Files without having to hardcode the filenames.  Here is what I have so far and it is falling over on the Application.ConsolidateProjects..... line.  Any help/advice would be appreciated:
    Sub ImportWorkstreamPlans()
    Dim objFSO As Object
    Dim objFolder As Object
    Dim objFile As Object
    Dim i As Integer
    Dim Path As String
    Application.DisplayAlerts = False
    'Create an instance of the FileSystemObject
    Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    'Get the folder object
    Set objFolder = objFSO.GetFolder("D:\Delivery Assurance\CPP Build")
    i = 1
    'loops through each file in the directory and prints their names and path
    For Each objFile In objFolder.Files
    'FName = objFile
    Application.ConsolidateProjects Filenames:=objFile, NewWindow:=False, AttachToSources:=False, HideSubtasks:=True
    ViewApply Name:="CPP View"
    GroupApply Name:="No Group"
    SelectRow Row:=1, RowRelative:=False
    Next objFile
    FilterApply Name:="All Tasks"
    OutlineShowAllTasks
    SetAutoFilter FieldName:="Flag3", FilterType:=pjAutoFilterIn, Criteria1:="Yes"
    GroupApply Name:="Sub Project"
    Application.DisplayAlerts = True
    End Sub
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Tony,
    I think you made a typo when you say your individual plans are stored in "D:\CPP Build Template\CPP Plans" because your code is looking for the files in "D:|CPP Build Template\CPP
    Build Plans". Maybe that's your runtime error right there.
    However, I have to take back something I said previously. The FileName parameter of the ConsolidateProjects Method can, and should in this case, be a full path. I did a little further testing to simulate your configuration. I have a "Y" drive with
    a desktop folder. I created a blank Project 2010 template file and a simple test file and placed both of those on the "Y" drive desktop. I am running Project 2010 on the "C" drive of Windows 7 on a virtual PC. The macro code below is in
    the Global file. I open the template file and then run the macro. Everything works fine until it attempts to invoke the autofilter. Then it fails and I didn't have time to figure it out so I use a normal custom filter instead.
    Sub ImportWorkstreamPlans()
    Dim objFSO As Object
    Dim objFolder As Object
    Dim objFile As Object
    Dim i As Integer
    Dim Path As String
    Dim FName As String
    Application.DisplayAlerts = False
    'Create an instance of the FileSystemObject
    Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    'Get the folder object
    Set objFolder = objFSO.GetFolder("Y:\Desktop")
    i = 1
    'loops through each file in the directory, determines if they are a project file, and then inserts them into a static master
    For Each objFile In objFolder.Files
        If InStr(1, objFile.Path, ".mpp") > 0 Then
            FName = objFile.Path
            Application.ConsolidateProjects Filenames:=FName, NewWindow:=False, AttachToSources:=False, HideSubtasks:=True
            ViewApply Name:="Gantt Chart"
            GroupApply Name:="No Group"
            SelectRow Row:=1, RowRelative:=False
        End If
    Next objFile
        OutlineShowAllTasks
        FilterApply Name:="All Tasks"
        FilterEdit Name:="TKH", taskfilter:=True, create:=True, overwriteexisting:=True, _
            FieldName:="Flag3", test:="equals", Value:="yes", ShowInMenu:=False, showsummarytasks:=True
        FilterApply Name:="TKH"
        'SetAutoFilter FieldName:="Flag3", FilterType:=pjAutoFilterFlagYes
        GroupApply Name:="Sub Project"
    Application.DisplayAlerts = True
    End Sub

    Hi,
    Which type of scheduling setting have you configured for WBS scheduling and for n/w. ?
    Also, download calendar from SAP to MSP and then add column 'Task Calendar' in which select the downloaded calendar.
    Check SAP NOTE 579761

    Harsh.

  • Office 2010 update error Code 80070663 on Window 8.1: Roiscan VB Script states an error on 1a1f08c.msp

    Hi, trying to get 7 updates onto MS Office 2010, getting a repeated 80070663 error. Running Win 8.1. Executed Robust Inventory Scan and got the following:
    Review Items
    ============
    Error:                       OpenDatabase failed to open .msp file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\1a1f08c.msp
    Any idea what next move should be? Tried for a reinstall, but but downloader runs for a while then says an error has been found and it shuts down...

    Jake, did you ever find a solution to your problem? I'm afraid I can't help if you didn't, but I'm experiencing the same problem.
    I also run Vista and had no problems until recently when I had an installation failure on 12th April 2014 for the same two updates:
    Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB959209) x86 - (Installation status: Failed. Error details: Code 80070663)
    Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243) - (Installation status: Failed. Error details: Code 64C)
    I don't know whether it's these updates that caused the problem or an earlier update that has stopped these updates been installed.  The PC is generally working but Word & Excel don't load any more. I get a 'Preparing to install' popup follwed by
    the message: 'This update package could not be opened. Verify that the update package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package.'
    If you did find a solution or any one else knows of one then I'd be very grateful.
    Dave.

  • How to install MSP on selected computers via GPO Startup VBscript

    Hi folks,
    I'm trying to write a vbscript that will run on startup and do the following:
    1) Detect whether or not a particular application is installed
    2) Determine if the latest version of said application is installed
    3) If not, run the MSP update from a server and apply the patch before login.
    I'm on a domain, and the script works when manually run from a command prompt.  I also have the script added to a test GPO under Computer Config>Windows Settings>Startup, but since this is my first real attempt at scripting, I'm not sure how to
    determine why the *.MSP file isn't running and get this working.
    Here's my code so far:
    Const HKLM = &H80000002 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    strComputer = "."
    strKey = "SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\"
    strEntry1a = "DisplayName"
    strEntry1b = "QuietDisplayName"
    strEntry1c = "DisplayVersion"
    strEntry1d = "UninstallString"
    ' Set args = Wscript.Arguments ' Get Command Line Argument
    ' strVersion = WScript.Arguments.Item(0)
    Set objReg = GetObject("winmgmts://" & strComputer & "/root/default:StdRegProv")
    objReg.EnumKey HKLM, strKey, arrSubkeys
    intVersionNum="1.0"
    For Each strSubkey In arrSubkeys
    intRet1 = objReg.GetStringValue(HKLM, strKey & strSubkey, strEntry1a, strValue1)
    if intRet1 <> "" Then
    objReg.GetExpandedStringValue HKLM, strKey & strSubkey, strEntry1a, strValue1
    intCompare=StrComp("Adobe Acrobat XI Pro",strValue1,vbTextCompare)
    IF intCompare = 0 THEN
    objReg.GetExpandedStringValue HKLM, strKey & strSubkey, strEntry1c, intVersionNum
    END IF
    End If
    Next
    IF intVersionNum="1.0" THEN
    WScript.Quit 2 ' Not Found
    END IF
    intVersionCompare=StrComp("11.0.06",intVersionNum,vbTextCompare)
    IF intVersionCompare = 0 THEN ' Everything OK
    WScript.Quit 0
    ELSE ' Run Update
    Set oShell = WScript.CreateObject("WSCript.shell")
    oShell.run "msiexec.exe /update \\RedactedServer\gpo\Acrobat\AcrobatXIPro\AcrobatUpd11006.msp /quiet"
    WScript.Quit 1
    END IF
    Note: RedactedServer isn't a variable; I removed our servername.  Also, I'm reasonably certain there isn't a permissions issue because we use the \\RedactedServer\GPO\ to successfully deliver all of our MSI GPO updates.
    When I restart, it looks like the script starts to run(?), but the update isn't installed.  In the Application log, all I see is this:
    But, there's no follow-up entry indicating that it was successful or even completed.
    Ideally, I'd also like to be able to pass in a command line parameter from the GPO so I can update it without having to edit the script every time a new update comes out, but I'd prefer to run before I fly.
    Lastly, yes, the script is looking for Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  I'm aware I can slipstream the MSP into an AIP and push it that way, but I don't want to redeploy a 2.3 GB installation to each computer that needs an update every 3 months when this will
    accomplish the goal much quicker and more efficiently.
    Does anyone have ideas?  I've beat my head against this all day, and my search-fu doesn't seem to be helping me find the answers I need.
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Microsoft note that Office 2013 cannot be installed by Software Distribution.  The MSP you have is a patch file.  The script is a cleaner.
    I do not know what is waiting for what or what script you may be referring to.
    If you think it is fixed then good but I do not really understand what you are saying has worked.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Scheduling in SAP PS vs. Primavera vs. MSP

    Hi all
    can anyone tell me what is benefits and drawback only for scheduling in compare with SAP PS with respect to Primavera and MSP. as I know that primavera is best for scheduling among three but what cause it makes better then other two. can anyone gives some comparison between this three wrt scheduling only.
    Regards

    Hi Dmitry
    My Customer knows the benefits of SAP against primavera with integration of all module but when we talk about scheduling in SAP PS against primavera or MSP its have some drawbacks. Even customer like L&T and some other clients use primavera for scheduling even they use SAP. So I just wants to know why primavera or MSP overcome to SAP in scheduling part? which things are not permitted in SAP which primavera can do easily. I never work on Primavera if you already work on primavera can you share your view on this?

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro problem with 10.1.1 MSP

    I have an AIP for Adobe Acrobat X Pro and applied the 10.1.1 MSP to it yesterday.
    When I attempt to deploy through Group Policy, I receive:
    Error 1334:  The file 'acidviewobj.tx' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file Data1.cab
    I expanded Data1.cab and the file is definitely not there.
    I have built this package using the following:
    Downloaded AcrobatPro_10_Web_WWEFD.exe (10.0.0)
    Ran -nos_o -nos_ne commands to extract
    Created MST using Customization Wizard X
    Applied 10.1.1 MSP patch
    Am I doing something wrong?

    OK, figured it out.
    My problem was that I was reusing AIPs, which Adobe discourages in their Enterprise Admin Guide.
    For every quarterly update, you have to recreate the AIP, then apply the new quarterly patch. I don't feel this is adequately explained in the guide, but it's the only series of steps that worked for me.
    So:
    Create a new 10.0.0 AIP
    msiexec /a C:\Acrobat\AcroPro.msi (where AcroPro.msi is an unmodified, original 10.0.0 package. Re-extract from the 10.0.0 installer if you only have patched versions left)
    choose a unique subfolder for this AIP, something like C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\
    Patch this new AIP with your quarterly patch
    msiexec /a C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\AcroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd1011.msp
    Now you can push out installs with this new, patched AcroPro.msi in your new AIP folder
    msiexec /i C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\AcroPro.msi TRANSFORMS=C:\Acrobat\transform.mst REINSTALLMODE=vomus REINSTALL=all REBOOT=reallysuppress /qb

  • ZEN AO .MSP file issues with Adobe Acrobat

    I'm currently having the following problem...
    I've got two ZEN AO's. One for Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional and one for
    Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard. I've added the latest Adobe Acrobat 7.0.5 .msp
    (Windows Installer Patch) file to it's respective ZEN AO and incremented the
    AO version number. On my test workstations that are cleanly imaged I
    associate and install either Adobe Acrobat 7.0 ZEN AO and neither object
    applies the 7.0.5 msp during the initial installation of the object/package.
    What gives? I've noticed that during the last part of the installation when
    it looks like it's applying the .msp I see "gibberish" in the text field
    right above the progress bar of the ZEN "Distributing blah blah blah" dialog
    box. I can launch Adobe and verify that the patch has not been applied. I
    can then verify (via NAL in myapps.html) the application and the patch
    applies as expected (I can verify that by launching the application). A new
    install of these objects/packages should include the patch should it not?
    Also if the application was previously installed by this "same" AO (only the
    patch has been added and the version number incremented) and I "install" the
    application (keep in mind it's already installed) NAL / Windows Installer
    goes through the routine of installation and then appears to apply the .msp,
    again I notice the gibberish in the text field right above the progress bar
    of the ZEN "Distributing blah blah blah" dialog box. I can then verify the
    application and the patch applies as expected (again, I can verify that by
    launching the application). What is up with this? I can't believe after
    roughly fifteen agent releases (I say fifteen based on the # of releases on
    the agent release TID) that Novell can't get this basic functionality right.
    Windows 2000 SP4 Update Rollup 1 (including all updates)

  • Adobe Acrobat 7.0.0, ZEN AO and .MSP files
