Payment_method_code in Supplier and Suppliet Site Table in R12

In R12 the PAYMENT_METHOD_LOOKUP_CODE column of PO_VENDORS (or AP_SUPPLIERS) and PO_VENDOR_SITES_ALL (or AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL) is no more having the payment method type as in Oracle front end supplier screen I can see the payment method has been checked as EFT but the above columns are showing null in backend database.
Is these values (PAYMENT_METHOD_LOOKUP_CODE for both supplier and supplier site) getting stored any other table like IBY or somethingelse ? Please help.

Hi Kiran,
I'm trying to import my company Suppliers using AP_SUPPLIERS_INT, but the PAYMENT_METHOD_CODE is not being imported into AP_SUPPLIERS. I'm using valid values from IBY_PAYMENT_METHODS.PAYMENT_METHOD_CODE, but at the moment to query the AP_SUPPLIERS, the forementioned column is not being populated. Am I missing something here?
Your help would be appreciated.

• API to release suppliers and their sites from hold

Hyee Forumates,
Can you please let me know if there is any API to release a supplier and his corresponding sites from HOLD. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance.
Regards,
Veronica.M

If it can be done manually, perhaps it may be able to do it by api. I'm not sure considering data inconsistency issues if associated information exists. What's the purpose? If duplicating a merge may be an option, if not try disabling them.

• Updating Price and Supplier at Requisition interface table after Min/Max

Hello,
We have requirement of updatig requisition data at interface table once Min/Max planning is completed.
We need input here like what would be the behaviour of Standard Requisition import program if we update price and supplier details at interface table after Min.Max planning and before running the Requisiton import.
Quick reponse will help us to move forward on this requirement.
Thanks
Devaraj.K

Hi,
Yes, we are using sourcing rules, so whenever i update the interface table with Price and Supplier detials after Min/Max then the Req.Import should not consider the Sourcing rules, it should create requisiton based on the values (Price and Supplier)provided at interface tanle.
Quick reponse would helpful us to move further on this,
Thanks in advance,
Devaraj.K

• Help with supply and demand query using monthly buckets

I'm working on a query bound for Discoverer which pulls the aggregated supply and demand for an item and buckets it into months. So for any given item, I need to show the item, onhand, cost, aggregated supply (planned orders, requisitions, pos), and aggregated demand (planned order demand, jobs) - all bucketed by months.
The code below works okay to find all of the data for July, but I also need to show August and September. I'm thinking I could use a union but am reluctant because the query already runs kind of slow and I'm not sure if I'm on the right track.

Hi,
Six things:
(1) Where are the one-to-many relationships between your tables? If a single row in mtl can match two (or more) rows in mrp, and can also match two (or more) rows in wip, then it looks like, when you join both of them them, you'll have a chasm trap, that is, you'll get all the matching rows from mrp paired with all matching rows from wip. Are you sure your existing query is producing the right results?
Are there one-to-many relationships with the other tables in your original query?
(2) Are your DATEs always at midnight? If not, avoid using BETWEEN and LAST_DAY for DATE comparisons: otherwise you'll miss everything between 00:00:01 and 23:59:59 on the last day.
That is, instead of
and mrp.new_due_date(+) BETWEEN :Month AND LAST_DAY(ADD_MONTHS(:Month,2))ypou should say
and       mrp.new_due_date (+)     >= :Month
and mrp.new_due_date (+) < ADD_MONTHS (:Month, 3)(3) The basic way to pivot the months of mrp_due_date is:
SELECT ...
, NVL ( SUM ( CASE
WHEN  mrp.new_due_date >= :month
AND mrp.new_due_date < ADD_MONTHS (:month, 1)
THEN mrp.quantity_rate
END
, 0
) AS mrp_qty_0
, NVL ( SUM ( CASE
WHEN  mrp.new_due_date >= ADD_MONTHS (:month, 1)
AND mrp.new_due_date < ADD_MONTHS (:month, 2)
THEN mrp.quantity_rate
END
, 0
) AS mrp_qty_1When you do this, do not GROUP BY TRUNC (mrp.new_due_date, 'MM').
The code above does two months: I'm sure you get the idea for how to do more.
To get dynamic column headings (such as Jun_2009 or "2009-06" instead of the generic mrp_qty_o) requires dynamic SQL. The best way to do dynamic SQL depends on the tool that is producing the query (e.g. SQL*Plus). What are you using? Are you willing to change, if it helps?
(4) Displaying separate columns from one row as a single column on multiple rows is called unpivoting. How badly do you want to do that? Your query would be simpler and faster if the output had only one row per group (rather than one row for mrp_qty and another row for wip_wty). That one row could have six columns (e.q. June_mrp, June_wip, July_mrp, July_wip, August_mrp and August_wip) instead of three. Depending on your front-end tool, you might even be able to wrap the single row of output so that it always appeared as two rows, each with three columns.
(5) Sorry I told you to do
and mrp.order_type_text(+) in (...)I never use the + outer-join notation any more, so I forgot about the ORA-01719 error. There's no problem having an outer-join condition like that using ANSI notation. (One more reason to switch.)
(6) As you noticed, this site doesn't like to print the <> inequality operator, even inside tags.
Use the equivalent != operator instead, when posting on this site. • Macbook Pro power supply and grounding.

Hey Apple people. I noticed something disconcerting with the power supply on my MacBook Pro 13" (non-retina)
I have a stainless steel metal table in my kitchen. It is the same type of stainless steel table you find in restaurants.
I have my 13" MacBook Pro in a Speck See-thru case.
The MacBook Pro in it's case is sitting on a Rain Design "M Stand".
The Rain Design "M Stand" is sitting on the stainless steel table.
I am wearing a short sleeve shirt.
I am sitting on a fabric covered chair at the table.
The battery was getting low so I got out my power supply, which is the power brick with the two prong plug adapter.
I plugged this into a power strip and the other end into the computer.
While touching the case of the computer with one hand and leaning on the stainless steel table with my other bare arm. I felt a vibration through the fingers that were in contact with the MacBook Pro. I knew what was going on, and I got really concerned.
I tried an experiment.
I got out the extension cord that came with the MacBook Pro power supply and I changed out the two prong plug on the power supply for the extension cord. The extension cord has a grounding post.
When I plugged the power supply back into the power strip and connected the power supply to the MacBook Pro. I no longer felt a vibrating sensation when I was in contact with the stainless steel table and the computer.
I have other MacBook Pro power supplies and I always use the grounded extension cable with them, because it is located at my regular workstation area. This stainless steel table is located in my kitchen, and I was eating dinner and watching YouTube videos.
Just thought you would like to all know that when you don't use the grounded cable on your MacBook Pro. you become the ground.
Never using this power supply anywhere again without the grounded cable.
Thank you for your time.
Matthew Sievert

It depends on what you are doing. Yes, the power supply can get hot. This is normal.

• SQL Database replication between Primary and DR site

Hi,
We are setting up a DR Site, for our Production SAP system.
At present the curren setup for Production SAP system are as follows.
SAP ERP 2005 (SAP ECC 6.), ABAP+JAVA on Windows with MS SQL Server
2005.
Data are stored on SAN and SAP installed on MSCS Cluster enviornment.
For Setting up the DR site, we are setting up Central System
installation and replication will be configured between SAP
Production/Primary system and DR site.
We are shoadwing at our test setup and facing below replication issues
while setting up transactional replication in MS SQL server 2005.
1. At present 78716 articles are available on Production Database, and
SQL fails the replication publication after 59000 articles.
We open the ticket with Microsoft and below are the suggestion provided
by them.
1. Microsfot suggest to prepare 2\3 publications for total number of
tables, 1 publication for all Views and 1 publication for SPs,
Functions and Data types with single Distributor Agent. Distribution Agent will
take care of propagating changes in the tables across the publications.
2. All related tables (Parent child relationship) to be published on
one publication.
3. It would recommend to create 4 publications: 2 for the tables, 1 for
the views and the other for the stored procedures. This would ensure
better manageability.
The main concerns here is about splitting the tables into two different
sets with about 30,000 in one of the publications and the rest in the
second publication.
You will have to make sure that all the dependant tables are included
in the same publication. Since this database is a SAP database, requesting to provide information as follows.
1. Identify and split the entire set of table into two/three groups.
2. How to publish dynamic tables (The tables which get created post
publication process).

Hi,
for database mirroring and log shipping there a several very good whitepapers and other documents out there:

Furthermore see note 965908 for this.
The needed bandwidth depends on the amount of log you create in a given timeframe. Internet bandwidth can be suffient, if you don't generate much log (btw, i don't understand the term RTD is 220).
In the log shipping scenario you can run the DR site in standby mode, then a readonly access (as DBCC etc.) is possible.

• Supplier and Supplier Part Number in standard report BBP_BW_SC3

Hi All,
There is requirement like to add new fileds ,Supplier and Supplier Part Number in standard report BBP_BW_SC3(copy to z version).
From which table i can get these values in SRM system.
Please suggest.
Thanks & regards,
Rakesh

Hi Walter
Thank you so much for your reply, which indeed helped us to a great extent.
The solution works fine for my original example of A & B material. However, we want to find every combination of lower level material used in each rolled up material. In above example, if material B is used in C, and C used in D and D used in final product E.
The suggested functional module explodes the header material as per itu2019s BoM, and follows Top-down approach, whereas we are looking forward to find a link which shows Bottom-Up approach i.e. where-used approach. In above example, we want to start from lowest level material A, then B, and C till final product E.
Since the output of functional module has various fields so we are trying to find a field which helps up to establish the bottom-up approach for multilevel BoM materials.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nirav

• Modelling organization as supplier and using in ASCP

Hi
Bit lengthy problem but Interesting : Please read on .,
Following is the org structure:
OU1 - Plant D (destination plant)
OU2- Pant S (source plant)
The plants need to be in 2 diff OUs so that invoices can be made.(within single OU its not possible)
We need to have IR/ISO setup so that the implementation is seamless and easy to use.
Plan owning org is Plant D (dest) and though we will be including we should not consider BOM explosion and res const etc in the plant S(source) and there will be a separate plan run there.
I tried modelling the same with assigning supplier name and site to the plant S(source) say Supp A and Site A.
However following are the issues:
1. The supp A and Site A details need to be given in supplier defn in OU2(source plant's OU)
Though in supply demand form in ASCP I see in sources tab :org id (Plant S) , supplier name :Supp A and site name: Site A,after req import and implementing it as PO, the ship to Dest becomes the OU2 and not OU1 as expected.
2. How to prevent planning for the BOM/Comp / Resources at the Plant S(source) level in the plan owned by Plant D (dest) ?
Are there any pointers to use both simplicity of IR/ISO and not planning for source plant as well ?
Best Regards
Partha

Hi Sara
Have your earlier problem of Creating Customer resolved?
As I said in my earlier post related to Creating Customer, this is not the right Forum the right Forum for Customer Vendor master data is :- [Customer / vendor master data Forum|ERP SCM Customer & Vendor Master;
How to differentiate Supplier and Customer in one system
Customer is created using T-code XD01 / VD01, whereas Vendor by using XK01. Both will have different No. range if you set properly.
Do I need to create two different company codes and etc
NO

• Lookup and a return table

1.0 what's a lookup and a return table, are they same thing?
2.0 how do you create it?
thanks

Hi,
a lookup table to enhance your data while loading. For instance you load sales in a cube and your source is providing the site and you require to post the Sale Organization.
In a start routine (Ttransfer or Update rules) you fill via ABAP a lookup table having the relation site to Sales Org.
In the sales org routine you read this lookup table with the key site and post the corresponding sales org in your IObj.
The return table functionality in update rules:
Imagine you are loading sales in a KF in a cube. Your requirement is have a year to date key figure stored as well in your cube.
So you load sales for January, posted to period JAN.
You would need to post this record for next 11 months as well in order to able to see YTD sales correctly when you select period FEB.
The return table enables you to post many records from 1 loaded records.
The lookup tables are created as internal table via ABAP in start routines
The return table is located in an update routine for a particular key figure and you use ABAP as well
Hoping this will answer your enquiries
Olivier.

• Cust site ID and Cust Site Dyn

Hi,
Can some one please help me to understand the difference between Cust Site ID and Cust Site Dyn? where it is maintained and Can a sales order have both these? Tcode/ Tables?
Please explain at a begginer level, as I am not a SD consultant.
Regards

Jith,
you probably need to give more information on which context you came across these 2 fields. Do you have field names? Which system?
This will help you to get a better feedback.

Hi All,
I need Supply and Demand Query in a single SQL. I have a requirement to put the Supply and Demand in a single reporting structure for a particular org/item/product line. I have the supply and Demand Queries seperately, but iam not able to join them to look like the below
Item Prod_line Org Demand_Type Demand_qty Supply_type supply_qty
when I try to do it by joining msc_supplies and msc_demands table, i am getting duplicates and junk data. can some one help me out in this?
Thanks,

• Whats the link between Pur. Tables and KONH & KONP tables

Hi!
Whats the link between Pur. Tables i.e EKKO EKPO etc and KONH & KONP tables?
and
Link B'tween KONH, KONP & EINA, EINE Tables?
and
Link b'tween the LFA1 Table and EINA, EINE Tables?
Link b'tween the LFA1 Table and KONH, KONP Tables?
Pls reply guys
Thanks,
Imran.

Hi Imran,
EKKO gives you the Header data of the purchasing documents (Vendor , Dates, Etc)
EKPO gives the item Data (The materials ordered, Qty of each material etc)
KONP & KONH store the condition records used for price calculation
KONH is the header data
KONP is the item data
EINA & EINE -> These are Purchasing info records Used in source of supply determination & price calculations , the Condition record number for pricing is obtained from EINA & EINE
EINA is for Purchase org level data
EINE is for vendor level data
The link to LFA1 is the vendor master data & while picking up the price you can have different price for different vendor .
Hope you find it useful.
Kindly reward helpful answers
Best regards,
