Payroll in mid of month

Hi All,
Requirement :
I need to run payroll for 5 employees in the mid of the month for Annual leave (unpaid), how i can run and post this without changing the payroll area , without affecting the other employees payroll
Same scenario for Employee separation - Full and final settlement

If we do of cycle how we account these 5 employees salary in there payroll and how the postings?
Scenario is:
Annual leave salary wil paid in advance and if employee leaves on 15th for annual leave we need to pay 15 days salalry + Annual leave salary,
So we suggested regular payroll   and we kept Annual leave a s unpaid,
So ho we can manage with regular payroll with same payroll area, without afecting other employees payrol on 31st jan

    Hi,
    The extractor runs without errors in RSA3 in the source system. The error is red with the test of "No Assignment of Payroll Data to BW Month for Country Grouping 10 and 13". I completed the SBIW task to set this in the source system but I still get the same error?

    As per the settings in the SBIW code in R/3 , we can go with a single Time based assignment for a Country at a time.So we can not use both IN Period and FOR period for the same country code.
    For more information, refer the below path.

    Under human resources.....go to payroll and assignment of payroll data to BW
    if you do not get...use Cntl + F and enter payroll..
    you will get
    in Assignment of payroll data to BW Month, after giving country grouping, what type of period assignment should be given. in R/3 dev side when i have chosen
    1.End of For period, extracted 972 records
    2. End of In period, extracted 1023 records
    3. Payment date of For period, extracted 972 records(just the same as in the first option)
    4.Payment date of In period, extracted 0 records
    Do u know more about these options??? one more thing to clarify on this. While doing payroll data extraction, do we have consider or say give "Define time frame for transfer", if that is compulsory then i have done that by givigng
    Earliest date as 01.01.2005
    Latest date as 31.12.2005
    but in the info package selection i have given to extract 01.01.2005 to 28.02.2006 and it has extracted successfully even 2006 records which means that though we define time frame, extraction is independent of this time frame, am i correct???

  • ESI calculation for employee leaving on a mid of month

    Hi,
    Employee left org on 12 th  of month.
    When i am calculating ESI it deducted on the basis of Actual ESI i mean Gross of full month, though it should be on gross of only those days when employee served the orgnisation, for 12 days in my case.
    I made settings in table V_512w_d for all the wages of ESI basis.
    Please suggest the remedies.

    I have already checked that the gross  is only for 12 days for those employee was present in the organisation and ESI should be  deducted accordingly but  practically ESI is being deducted for full month.
    The basis for my  case is not /112 but /3EA ( The actual basis for ESI)
    I think i need to make checks in Table T512W_D for ESI basis.
    Pl suggest your experiences in this regards.

    There is a scenario, when we hire a person in mid month, so how payroll driver will calculate its payroll.
    Do we need to run payroll twice for this employee.

    If it is monthly payroll, no need to run payroll in mid month, we can run the payroll as usual like end of the month(whenever we are running payroll that date).
    For mid month of joinging employes, system will take care with the help of INP1 rule for india, XPPF rule for internaational.
    No need to run twice payroll.
    Based his/her joining date payment will be happen.

  • Pension issue Mid Month Leaving

    Dear All,
    As per rule sustem should deduct mid month joining/leaving/absences or transfer scenarios, the Pension/PF Basis will be correspondingly prorated. But our system is not doing this. In RT table i have found 3FC Pension Basis for Er c 01/2010                    0.00           6,500.00.
    Employee leaving date is 14.04.2010. system is picking pension amout as 541. Last year it was coming right.
    Please suggest.

    We required prorata basis pension in case of left employees and system is not doing this. This is the issue. As per our PF experts Pension amount should come on prorata basis for left employees in case they left mid of month.System is doing prorata basis last year but from this year it is deducting 541. I am giving two RT cases of different years.

    Dear Friends,
    We are going live in Payroll on August.I have some clarifications regarding the leagacy data upload, kindly calrify
    1.After uploading Data from April 2008 to July 2008 , if i run payroll thru INLK schema, do i need to do Payroll FI posting for each month from april to July, is it necessary.
    2.when running past payroll , should i need to run payroll separately for April, May , June, July or can i run all the 4 months payroll at once after updating table T558B & T558c.
    3.Any other prerquisites to be considered before or uploading legacy data.
    Experts plz advice.

    Hi Shekar,
    After uploding those two tables u have to run the payroll for all the months seperatly by using INLK schema.
    But make sure that u have uploaded the technical wage types also like PF, ESI, PT, IT etc.
    Payroll posting not required.

  • Error with month end payroll Accruals

    We have an error when posting month end payroll accruals for our weekly payroll, though the bi-weekly payroll works fine!
    I have checked tables T549S and T51A1 and all of the dates are correct and set as I would expect, however the system did not create a month end accrual for the weekly payroll into the following months posting period.  For the biweekly payroll this worked exactly as expected.
    We had no issues with this for the last calendar year, however for 2009 we have changed our month end closing dates, though I do not see that this would prevent this from happening.  I have checked various things in the IMG and have not been able to resolve this, does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this.

    Month-end accrual determination is based on T51A1, T549S (date type '04' and '05'), and T549Q (field Begda and Endda). Pay extra attention on these dates, as if one is incorrect (e.g. miss-type the year in the future entry with an earlier year) would definitely cause month-end accrual to stop working.

  • PF Calculation for Employee Joined After 15th of the month.

    I have an issue with the PF calculation where the system is calculating the period the person worked in the month not the full period while running his payroll in the next month.
    Exmp: Basic Salary 10000, PF- 12%=1200
    Emp Joined on 18th of april 2011>>> Basic goes down to --4334 & PF is 520 where as the PF should have been 1200.
    The RT shows the following data.
    /3FA PF basis fo0101                                                 4.333,00
    /3FB PF Basis fo0101                                                 4.333,00
    Is there any rule through i can controll the Calculation on the actual BAsic

    You mean to say that i should tell the client that its SAP standard Practice to Deduct on the Basic for which the employee has worked not on the actual of 10000.
    What are the legal aspect i can face for the same issue of deducting the full PF of 1200.
    IS ther any EXITS or PCRs available, i just checked "User Exit: Override Employer Pension Basis" but that is for Pension ,i dont think it will work for PF.
    Please guide.

  • Mid quarter depreciation without setting the mid period

    Hello All,
    Thank you for taking time to read my question.
    When AA went live, half monthly data for the company code was not maintained (while it should have been maintained 15 as the mid period). Since the half period is not configured, I am not able to set the mid month setting in OAVH. Now the taxes are calculated with an additional 15 days when specifying mid quarter when using period method control 005. The company code went live last year October and SAP will not allow updating the mid period from blank to 15.
    Have anyone dealt with such a situation? I planned on defining a new period control key and assign it to a custom period method control. But still not able to get the depreciation value correct to the mid quarter.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    What do you mean without mid period setting? Is this OAVH? Anyway, you can try this.
    Use of Half Months in the Company Code
    In this step, you determine the company codes in which you want to use half periods. In this way, you can calculate depreciation in these company codes on the basis of half months or half periods.  Using this method, you can work with 24 periods in Asset Accounting, although the fiscal year version in Financial Accounting has only 12 normal periods (without using a different fiscal year version for Asset Accounting).
    You should be aware, however, that the specifications for periods in the transactions in Asset Accounting (such as, useful life) have to be based on whole periods (12).
    Example
    Half periods are, for example, necessary to represent the "mid quarter/month rule". This is a version widely used in the U.S.A. With this rule, it is important for the determination of depreciation whether an acquisition takes place in the first or the second half of a period.
    Caution
    When you specify the use of half periods in the definition of an asset company code, half periods are automatically specified in all other company codes that use this fiscal year version.
    You cannot use half periods with non-calendar fiscal months.
    You cannot take back the use of half periods once the specification has been made.  It is noted internally by the system in the asset master records.
    Requirements
    The number of the posting periods in the fiscal year version used must correspond to the number of calendar months (12).
    Activities
    1. Specify the use of half periods by entering the date (for example, the 15th) for the middle of the period for the company codes.
    2. If you have defined period controls yourself
    (see Period Control),
    you must provide for the use of half periods in their assignment rules. For monthly and quarterly periods, corresponding period controls have already been created as standard in the system.

  • Payroll Issues in Net payment

    Dear Experts,
    Business Scenario
    The employee is on leave for 2 months (paid leave)in that 2 months loan should not deduct. 3rd month he came back and the laon amount should be deduct .
    So,In Master Data for IT45 maintained record for those 2months in "Condition" amount=0 and for the next month onwards maintained regular installment payment which he has to pay.
    When I am running payroll for the 3rd month am getting Loan Type Error as below
    Error with a loan wage type
    A loan wage type in table RT should be deducted, however the
    however the remaining net amount was too small
    Wage type /LRP
    Please lower the loan repayment in infotype 0045
    Choose an amount that can be deducted
    while running simulation for 4th Month their is no Error in Payroll Log But for the 3rd Month "NET PAYMENT" is showing as Zero in Payslip and not showing in RT table also
    Note: This Net Payment issue for the 3rd Month is not only  to the above scenario Employee it is not showing for ALL EMPLOYEES.

    Please check that u press the calendar button to regenerate the last payment date and also check that repayment plan in IT0045
    another thing check IT0078, what will be shown there????.
    After that run one by one payroll for the months you have no deduction of loan and check is there any loan deduction or not.
    What you have to do for skipping loan payment is copy the current loan and make the repayment amount zero, i hope u did the same but in the last split u have to recalculate the payment date.

  • HRA amount doubling in middle of month leaving action

    HRA for an individual is 100 Rs per month.  It is working fine for all the months during the employee's tenure in organization.
    In case of leaving action/retirement action when an employee retires on 13th of April, AND then when i run payroll at end of month for that employee the system is giving HRA of 200 (doubling up) as it is creating two records of 01.04.2009 to 13.04.2009 and 14.04.2009 to 31.12.9999.
    If an employee retires at end of month, then amount is coming as 100 only. 
    Can u please guide as to what to do.  Do i need to write a rule or is there anything wrong with action as i have checked all processing classes 1 to 72 including 10, 20.  No factoring is being done as this is a fixed amount wage type. 
    This is also happening in all other wage types in infotype 8 which have not factoring including Washing allowance and facility encashment, amount is getting doubled. 
    Basic and VDA are behaving fine as they are being factored.

    Just compare the HRA wage type's processing, cumulation classes with the basic wage type (which one is coming correct, with out doubling the amount).
    And also compare the processing, cumulation classes with the standard HRA wage type. It may work.
    Try it out and let me know.

    Hello,
    We had a SAP HR PAYROLL and Portal - ESS implemented in our lanscape. When payroll is processing (generally month end) we are locking the ess user's in Portal because users are getting locked automatically(e.g: when attempted to apply for leave via portal) and also payroll or leave data updation is getting fail in respective infotypes.
    Now, I want some one to tell, what is the general procedure in most of the projects?
    In case users are locked during payroll run, how do they apply for leaves?
    Our customer expectation is not to lock users in any of the system during payroll run and should do their activities as usual. Whats the best procedure to acheive this?

    In my last ESS implementation...when the payroll was being processed the Payroll used to be locked and not the users and then the users were not able to edit their Banks Information ...but they should be able to apply for leaves....are you using a custom procedure to lock the users during the Payroll run....
