The option that I can think of is to add line of code to insert/ default a date in IT0000-BEGDA using the BADI available for PA40. So whenever a user will execute seperation action, this BADI should trigger.

Error when launching PCR from action box

We have a problem with our PCR's. We're on ERP2004, but we're using the jsp-based forms. I am trying to use the "display form" in the action box for personnel change requests in transaction IQS22. I have set up the server in the required backend table. However, when I launch the form I get a portal error screen that states:
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Access denied (Object: com.sap.portal.system/security/com.sap.portal.ep50/ep50_safety).
Exception id: 01:14_15/12/05_0001_6872350
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
In the log I see:

I have tried the following:
-setting up SSO from ABAP to the portal server
-setting the AuthXXXX to 'none'
-granting ep50_safety access to group 'everyone', 'anonymous users", "guests", etc.
Has anyone else been able to launch PCR's from R/3 successfully? Any hints?

We have been using MSS for over 2 years and did not have any issue while displaying the PCR form from IQS22. One thing you have to ensure is that the user is logged onto the Portal before trying to display the PCR form from the backend.

Is is possible to rehire a person with the same P.S. No. and not show any break in service. My client wants this action incase of court orders where a person is to be taken back into service with no loss of service. Earlier a seperation action is already run on this person.

Yes we can issue same personnel number to the employee. Do one thing terminate him and again rehire him from next day onwards and mention same personnel number in PA40 & maintain all other infotypes. For Ex: You Terminate an Employee on 31.03.2007 again on 01.04.2007 for the same employee you perform rehiring action.
This vl solve your problem.

Hi,
you can rehire a person with the same pernr. But in this case there will be a break in service since u had run the separation action for this employee.
If you don't want to show break in service, you can delete the separation action run for that employee and make him active again in the system. By this way it can be done.
But tell the actual scenario for how many days the person was in withdrawn status?

How can I add a node with with a user-chosen name to JTree in one action

The functionality that I would like to implement is to add a new node to a tree (JTree with DefaultTreeModel), that during the adding process of the the new node the user will type the node name.
I am using the following documentation as a reference: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/tree.html#select
but in this example (as well as all the other examples that I found on net) the user can add first a new node with a constant name (like "NewNode").
and then in a seperated action the user can edit this node. I'd like to perfrom it in one action.
one solution that could be implemented is on the end of the adding node invoking beginning of editing action that will be triggered in code instead of forcing the user to click with the mouse on the selected node. The question is how can I do it? how can I trigger an edit action on a selected node in a JTree?

Just to provide some background, I'm not a developer, just a hobby programmer and first took up Java less than 14 months ago. I didn't know the answer to your problem, but on reading the API it was fairly clear which method I'd have to make use of. In less than half an hour of coding, I had a JFrame with a JTree and a JButton to add a node, which was immediately in editing condition.
Try to find another profession, Rotshield. Or at least don't disgrace the community by calling yourself a Java developer (for 4 years lol) until (if ever) you learn how to read and apply an API.

Ireland Payroll - Issue in Tax Refund for Leavers

Hello Payroll Experts,
Greetings!
We are having problems for 2 of our Ireland Based Employees.
The Below is the step wise details of the issue:
=> Employee has left the Organisation in the month of 21st October'08.
=> The Seperation Action for the employee only has been made only after
the completion of October Month's Payroll, hence the employee has been
paid until 31st October '08.
=> While running the November Month Payroll, this employee has been
picked by the payroll again & the system is calculating the Retro and
have given the wrongly calculated days back (21st Oct - 31st Oct'08).
=> Even the Pension refund has been given.
=> But the TAX is not getting RECALCULATED (Tax Refund).
Could you please help us to find out why this issue is happening.

Please check the following tables:

Important : Also check whether when the employee is moving from non ptax region to ptax region then the prorated amount of the ptax region is soming under ptax limit or the amount is under nil limit.
Along with the above also check, IT0588 subtype 0003 for PTax.

How to assign addEventListener to 52 Buttons?!

Hi there! I am not an expert in Flash and my problem might looks silly.
But anyway, my problem is that, I have 52 Button instances on Scene 1 as bellow:
B1 , B2 , B3 , ... , B52 and I want to assign seperated actions for each of them. The way I currently CAN do that is this:
B1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, B1F);
B2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, B2F);
B3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, B3F);
B52.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, B4F); But the way I CANT do this, is that I use a formula like WHILE for example, to do this for all of them together... for example:

the reason I have all those functions is that I don't know the code to get the "InstanceName" of Button that is pressed?....For example if I know the Button pressed is "B13_mc" and I could store it in a variable, then I can have a chance to make a single Function instead of 52 Functions!

Transferring an Employee from one Company Code to Another Company Code

we are implementing the HR Implementation for the group of Hospitals, each hospital being an Individual Legal entity, but there is a requirement, where in there is a possibility that the employee may be transferred from one Hospital to other on a short term basis or on a long term basis, and as long as the Employee stays in that transferred place, his salary is to be paid from that particular Hospital,
As per my understanding, we have to run the seperation action and then go for a hiring action in the new company,,, but this wouldnt solve the purpose if the employee works for 10 days in a month in one Hospital and the rest in the Other Hospital...
I have come across various posts on sdn regarding the same issue that it is possible, but i didn't find the end result for this one,I would request you to provide me with your inputs on this one.

HOSPITAL-1 : XYZ1 ( Company Code)
HOSPITAL-2 : XYZ2( Company Code)
Hospital 1 (XYZ1) and 2(XYZ2) belong to the XYZ Group of Companies
both these hospitals are separate legal entities
an Employee "A" is working in a Hospital 1 ( XYZ1) from 1st of a month till 10th and from 11th onwards he is working in Hospital2(XYZ2).
if i want to transfer an employee internally from one Personnel Area to another Personnel area or from one org unit to other org unit then i can do it through transfer actions, but how am i supposed to do a transfer action in between two company codes?

since there is 90 day requirement ,i reckon this need to be customised taking PA0000-MASSN,PA0000-STAT2 and begda and enda into consideration and if there is any date specification (PA41) maintained DAR01 -date type maintained.Hiring action start date and seperation action date.

We have oflate implemented SAP HCM ECC5.0 version. We have started running the activities like payroll, personal actions etc throu it.
As on date we are running the seperation actions through PA40 but unable to run FFS through SAP. Could anyone help me in telling the process how to run Full & Final Settlement in SAP.
The entire system is configured, but we are unaware of the t.code and process we need to follow for doing the same.
Pls. Advise on the T.Codes and the process we need to follow.

Retirement

I want to stop the organization unit from defaulting to 0000000 during retirement sequence. How do I do that. I think its a dynamic action but i'm not sure.

Please check T529A. Please make sure the employment status maintained for these actions are correct. In case of the Retirement actions EE status must be 2 (Retiree) and in Terminations it must be 0 (Withdrawn).
As a functionality, in point of view
1. When you are executing Termination/ retirement actions on X date, the relevant records will get delimited from X date.
2. EE is eligible to get paid only till that day based on last record maintained in Infotype 0008.
3. The cost, as you mentioned also should also be taken care by the cost center to which an EE was assigned before the termination/ Retirement action.
4. The above data is anyways available till the last day of an EE in the company i.e before executing the respective seperation actions.
So ideally inputs should be taken based on the above functionality.
Lets see what the other gurus are suggesting.

Form 10 not coming

Hi all
An employee resigns on the 25th of a month. We have run payroll uptill this day n thn done the seperation action for this employee.
but whn i am running the standard report for PF - form 10 it shows no record exists.
Form 10 never shows any record of any employee inspite of running the seperation action for the employee for any month
Anybody with any inputs please advice.

Its possible that certificate numbering needs to be maintained for that form. Check our SPRO:
Financial Accounting > Financial Accounting Global Settings>Withholding Tax> Extended Withholding Tax>Postings> Certificate Numbering for Withholding Tax
also check:
Reporting >Assign Forms for Withholding Tax Certificates
You may check if the number raneg and form name is updated.

Unable to find Withdraw Action in E-SEperation

Hi Gurus,
I have created a E-Seperation request (Initiated by Employee) and would like to withdraw the request by him. But, i find only Put-On-Hold action in the menu bar and no other actions found.
Even, Put-On-Hold is not permitted for the status Initiated.
Please suggest. I could not find a table or feature which suggest permissable actions for each status.

MSS - PCR - launch JSP form from action box

We have a PCR (leaver request) which is workflowed to an administrator to carry out the HR action. One of the options in the Action Box is to view the form - we're using JSP forms for this (we're using NW04 SP11). I've configured the ISR according to the SAP notes to be able to launch the JSP form for the administrator to view the form.
When we click the Display Form option the portal is launched as expected, the user logs on, but then a blank screen is displayed - ie not the form...
The URL that is generated is http://<portalserver>:<port>/irj/portal/<portalcomponent>?SCENARIO=ZCLR&REQUEST_NO=000500000165&MODE=DISPLAY&IFV=P
Has anyone set this up successfully and can offer any advice?

Thanks for your suggestion, but it still isn't working - the portal is launched with this url but just stops at the user's start page in the portal. We're on 46C. Any other suggestions? Does the portal user (for the administrator) need anything to be able to view the jsp form?
