Personnel master data

hi every body
i need solution for how to maintain sales personnel masterdata in sales and distribution module. as the hierarchy is 1. sales org 2. distribution channel 3. division 4. sales office 5. sales group then there is a option called personnel master data. can any one help me how to maintain that. there is a functionality in sales and distribution to maintain this data without HR, if so how to maintain that. is there any other alternative for this.

You can Maintain Personnel Master Data for Sales Contact person in VAP1,VAP2,VAP3 and Sales personnel in VPE1,VPE2 and VPE3.Forwarding Agent in  V-11

    Dear Anuradha,
    maintain Activity type in transaction CJ20N at Network Activity level.
    In IMG under
    Cross Application Components -> Time Sheet -> Specific settings for CATS notebook -> Set up data entry profile -> Choose your profile -> Set Activity type under default values.
    I believe Inforype 0315(CATS: Sender Information) is not used.

  • Invoking HR Master Data (P_ORGIN) authorization check for transaction PCP0

    Hello,
    We have to limit access to executives (managers) sensitive posting data in transaction PCP0 (display posting runs).
    Since executives belong to a personnel area other than all other employees, I thought we can achieve this by personnel area distinction.
    In order to have this done, P_ORGIN authorization check should be performed.
    It looks that by standard, such check is not performed.
    Does anyone have any experience of dealing with this issue?

    I have a vague idea.
    I remember while creating an ESS user, we did something in P_ORGIN so as to to restrict access to personnel master data.
    Check the composite role : SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP.
    A Z role was created for SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP=>the corresponding roles in it had to be copied to a z role.
    Check the z-role created ; zSAP_ESSUSER_ERP.
    In Authorizations tab=>Display authorization data option => ;
    Expand Human Resources;
    In HR : Master data, you can find the various authorization assignments to P_ORIGIN;  where
    Authorization level (AUTHC)
    Infotype (INFTY)          
    Personnel Area (PERSA)
    Employee Group   (PERSG)
    Employee Subgroup  (PERSK)
    Subtype (SUBTY)
    Organizational Key (VDSK1)
    Authorization level (AUTHC) takes the values :
    • R (Read) for read access
    • M (Matchcode) for read access to input helps (F4)
    • W (Write) for write access
    • E and D (Enqueue and Dequeue) for write access using the Asymmetrical Double Verification Principle. E allows the user to create and change locked data records and D allows the user to change lock indicators.
    • S (Symmetric) for write access using the Symmetric Double Verification Principle
    • * always includes all other authorization levels simultaneously
    In your case if some has to make changes through PPCO.. it's equivalent to making changes to infotype 0001 (Organizational Assignment)
    So, probably, you need the Authorization level to R for Infotype 0001.
    I have no personal hands-on experience on this...since we are not allowed to anything Basis
    I have seen this being done and have noted what was done... !! May or may not be correct....!!

    Hi Pari,
    It appears that you are treating employee as vendor. You have not maintajned the personnel number of employees (in HR Module). The personnel number is the only feature within a client which is unique to an employee. You have to enter a personnel number before you can display and maintain an employee's master data and time data.

  • Query from master data

    I am trying to create a structure to create a query as follows from 0EMPLOYEE master data. I have ceated a BI infoset with 0EMPLOYEE and using that to create this query. This query is intened to be used as the receiver query in RRI.
    Sender Query (query1):
                                  Employee Distribution by perfromace rating
    Performance Rating  Before_Min Below Above Total
    Receiver Query (query2) : this should feed the employees used in query1 and get their attributes in a query
    Employee       Last_Name First_Name, Annual_Salary

    Qns:
    1, What is the best approach to get this?
    2. How do I create a characteristic query for Employee (without key figures) as in qurey-2

    Thanks for your message. I got the receiver query working by configuring the infoobject as a infoprovider and getting "# of records" as the dummy KF into the query and hide it. I need to clean up to supress results reow.
    For connectign to this query as RRI, in the assignment details, do I use it as an Infoobject - parameter for 0EMPLOYEE or any other setting. I used the above settings and see more employees in the list than I had expected. i don't see the employee ids being passed on from Q1 to Q2 to provide a reduced result set when I limit the scope in q1 (eg: by filtering using the org unit or personnel area).
    Any clues?

    Hi Experts and Friends,
    I have mentioned personnel details , Personnel Area, Sub Area, EE Group ,Sub group etc (0000,0001,0002,0003,0006)
    In PA30 But nothing  is displaying except  Infotype Text . Above info group TAB (Master Data, Time Data etc),
    Name , personnel area, EE Group has to display , it is not displaying . what need to be do for getting these details

    While trying to upload employee master data through LSMW for PA40, at the time of execution batch input session,personnel number is not generating automatically..

    Hi,
    When you are using transaction code PA40 in LSMW, pls use Internal Number Range instead of External as LSMW doesn't work well with External no. range. Also for the upload, configure only the basic infotypes like 0000,0001 & 0002 in the infogroup and rest of the infotype maintain it through PA30.

  • Vendor payments using bank info from HR master data

    Dear experts,
    We have setup all employees as vendors in FI to make reimbursements.
    Can we use the banking information in HR master data (IT0009) and make the vendor payments in FI. We don't want to maintain bank information in vendor master.
    So, by entering the personnel number of the EE in the vendor master, can SAP integrate and read the banking information from the HR master data?
    Please let me know if this is possible and how.

    You have to maintain bank data for vendors and employees separately.  Vendor master cannot access bank data in payroll module.  Use LSMW to populate bank data in XD02 and establish a process to update bank information whenever there are changes in payroll side.

  • FI master data integration with hr master data

    Dear Xperts i had an issue regarding integration of FI and HR Master Data.in pe03 i changed the feature ANLAC by Replacing N with Y because of this the integration get ON but the issue is that whenever our FI consultant assign asset to any personal number say for example Personnel number 1.then if i create it40 for personnel number 2 that asset which is assigned to personel number 1 is displaying in it40 in asset fiel of personal number 2 but we assigned to 1 not to 2 what will be the problem could u please help me in this regard

    Say for e.g i assign two different assets to two different personal numbers e.g asset no 14000235 to pernr no 1 and asset no 14000236 to pernr no2 but when i maintian them in pa30 in infotype40 if firslty before mainting asset no for 1 i maintian it for pernr no 2 it is displaying asset no 14000235 which is for pernr no 1 not for pernr no 2 is their any way that respective asset number should come in personal to whom i assigned in FI

  • Master Data Deletion in SAP BW

    Hi,
    We are having HR Master Data in BW - 0EMPLOYEE. User has deleted some of the personel numbers in the source system (SAP HR system) as the contract of the employee was ended.
    My problem here is that the Personnel numbers are still existing in SAP BW - 0EMPLOYEE master data. Eventhough when i am trying to delete these un wanted personel numbers in maintain masterdata screen, that are not allowing me to delete as they have used some other placess in Transaction data.
    Can you please suggest me, how to delete this specific Master Data in SAP-BW?

    Why do you want to delete ?
    No need to delete any Master Data
    If you want to really delete ,you can do one thing
    Right click on Master data Info Object 0EMPLOYEE
    select Delete master data
    And reload Master data for employee with full load
    if delta Initilize delta with data transfer

    Dear freinds,
    We are attaching documents through the employee personal master data
    PA30, Our client wants to know where exactly these attachments are
    getting saved; Our SAP environment is ECC6.0 on AIX 5.3. so i exactly would like to know what is the exact path where these documents are getting saved on AIX machine.
    I would appreciate if you can tell us where exactly these documents are
    getting saved at OS level, any particular file system you think,
    because I probed in but couldnu2019t find where exactly there are on the
    OS..

    hello,
    SAP generally recommends that you store employee documents with a bar code. You can find the documentation to 'Storage Within Personnel Administration' using the following path:
    => Help => SAP Library => Human Resources => Personnel Management (PA)=> Personnel Administration (PA-PA) => Storage Within Personnel Administration (PA-PA)
    In the SAP Standard it is not possible to tie original documents to specific personnel numbers in the PA30 transaction. The only exceptions are two specific scenarios where you can tie original documents in the PA30 transaction:
    1. late storing with bar code
    2. late storing without bar code
    During both scenarios you start out in the Trx PA30. If the bar code entry is deactivated the actual key data will have to be transferred to the document in any case, otherwise you will be asked to enter a barcode again. Therefore the document would be transferred to the scanning location and then assigned to a specific business object.
    Unfortunately it is NOT possible to upload a document directly into archive in the PA30 any other way.
    Let me emphasize once more that PA30 can not be used for storing infotype specific documents. Via the special scenarios mentioned already by my colleague you are able to assign documents to the specific infotypes but the storing has to be completed outside of PA30.
    Using the option Extras -> Assign facsimile in PA30 will be interpreted by the system as start for late scanning with barcode thus the error message.

  • Personnel master record & not found (check entry) Message RU040

    Dear Friends,
    Error message RU040 is observed when confirmation is posted in CO11N for Personnel No.
    However, with same data confirmation is successfully posted in quality server but in Production server it is giving error.
    So I am confused why system is giving this error only in Production server & not in quality server even though Personnel Master record doesnt exist in both the servers.
    Kindly share your views for the same.

    Thanks for your reply. But actually my issue is different. Actually When personnel no. field value is maintained in Produciton server while confirmation in CO11N by user it is throwing above error since no personnel master record maintained same is the case in quality server but to my surprise system is allowing to save confirmation without throwing above error in quality.
    I checked CO86 part but it is not relavant to this issue.

    I am from SD background. But I need to create one personnel master record. In my system, HR is not configured yet.
    Can you please tell me what are the basic settings required in order to create a employee master record. i shud be able to recruit him and maintain his communication data.
    I hust wanna maintain his communication data. No need of his payment and all.

    You have to configure the system to accept the HR standards.
    For eg : Number ranges, Country assignments, Creation of the other Personnal characterstics like Employee grp, employee sub-group, personnal area, lots....of stuff...
    After doing all that You can use PA30 to create the personal number and update the infotype 0105 for the communication infotype..

    Authorizations will be done by the Basis Team.But we cannot restrict master data through payroll wise.
    Either go with Personnel Area Wise or Employee Group wise or Employee subgroup wise
    If not then go with the Organizational Key wise then u have  configure  the below nodes
    IMG>Personnel Management>Personnel Administration> Organizational Data> Organizational Assignment--> Set up organizational key
    Organizational key: Maintain feature VDSK1
    Organizational key: Control
    Organizational key: Creation rules

  • HR Master data display control.

    Hi All,
    I have set up an HR admin with access such that he should not be able to view pay info of some users. However, when i tested it the user is able to partly view the pay info of a user A. However, he cannot view pay info of user B. The confusion is that both the user A & B belong to same personnel area, employee group, sub group etc..they are under same pay admin..I am confused why user is able to partly view pay info of A when he cannot view pay info of user B. Although, when he tries to view infotype 0008 for user A, he gets a message "few records skipped" for which below are the SU53 values. But still 0008 is visible...

    do you use structural authorisations in your organisation?  two users with identical access rights in SU01, but it is possible for them that if they are identical, but have different structural authorisation assignments they will see different information.
    An authorisation trace will run successfully and not necessarily show any failures, but if the structural authorisation check fails, you will see a message that says something like "unable to display 123 records due to insufficient authorizations".  That's typical of structural auths.
    The ways to check it:  go to transaction OOSB - see if both your user IDs are in the table.  If they are, you can see the HR objects that are accessible to that user by clicking on the "Information" button (blue I) next to their name. 
    If a user has OOSB with an expired entry, then they won't be able to see any HR info. 
    Depending on what active struct auth they have assigned, and/or where they sit, they will have different values assigned them.
    If a user has no entry in OOSB they will see everything, same as if a user has an 'all' entry in OOSB.
    I'm unaware if there is a trace that will actively show you structural authorisation checks.
