Photoshop CC says I'm using trial mode

I just purchased the PS CC + Lr photography deal, and upon opening Photoshop Creative Cloud, it says I'm on trial mode and I have 30 days left. The app was downloaded using Adobe's Creative Cloud software. What is wrong and how can I fix this?

Please update the CC app from here:
https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Try signing out of the CC app, then sign back in.
Verify again, if this does not work let me know.

Ashutosh

I've bought a student plan but every time I open currently downloaded programms I see an automatically opened window that says I'm using trial version and still have several days to use it. How can I change it? It makes me nervous , as it demands serial number, but e-mail i've got from Adobe doesn't contain any serial number or invitation or something like that.

Vetscheriascha to validate the software you will want to resolve the connection error between the computer and our activation server.  Please see Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html for information on how to resolve the connection error.

  • Photoshop CC in Trial mode. Have Photoshop/Lightroom CC subscription.

I have a Photoshop / Lightroom CC subscription
but each time I fire up Photoshop it pops up a dialog saying my trial is ending soon.
If I hit "License this software" and sign in, I am told to enter a serial number.
I have not seen any serial number being mentioned in the initial emails received, and as far as I understand from the websites help it is not supposed to be any on the CC subscriptions.
I am out of ideas on what to try to get this working

  • InDesign CS6 thinks I am in Trial mode

I  purchased a download version of InDesign CS6 on my laptop. I registered it online.
I then downloaded a version to my main Mac desktop. Now if I have to restart the software (eg: after a power outage)  Adobe Application Manager  asks me to 'Sign In Now' to register the software - if I select this I just get an ever spinning circle icon - and nothing happens. It says I am in Trial mode and have x number of days to use it before I have to register. When that time is up, I have to re-install the software.
I am extremely frustrated by the response at tech support.
    Can anyone suggest something?
    thanks

  • I just subscribed to cc for 1 yr and my apps are still in trial mode, anyone can help?

i just subscribed to cc for 1 yr and my apps are still in trial mode, anyone can help?

    Hi Eric,
As J Potter mentioned you will have to Sign Out and then Sign In to the Apps.
The steps you need to follow are:
    1. Launch the application which says you are in trial mode.
    2. On the Creative Cloud application trial screen, click on "License this Software".
    3. Sign in with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.
The same has been discussed in the below link:

Please reply to this thread if the issue persists.

  • Premiere 2014CC still in trial mode after purchasing process

    Dear Adobe people!
I live in Hungary and after 28 days of trial period I was convinced i needed your wonderful software. I contacted the official Hungraian reseller (designshop.hu) and did the whole purchase process following their instructions (it was not easy though...). However, when trying to open my premiere it still says it is in trial mode and only 2 days left before it ends
I wonder what step i missed or why it is not working properly. In two days i will be unable to kepep working on a project i started in trial mode?
    I tried :
deleting the downloaded trial version and reinstalling
    deleting and reinstalling CC
setting the language to English (international)
I wonder if there is any process, code issuing or anything for which i simply have to wait - or if i made a mistake when installing.
Please get back to me, I am desperate...
    all help is appreciated.

Jason! Wonderful - my status says active here, so i should be fine! If so, i will remember to come back here and mark this answer correct so you get the points for it (well deserved). Are you talking from experience though can i be entirely sure  (i am in mid-work and wouldn't like to have to stop working t odeal with install issues.) I am attaching a screenshot - can you say i am fine by seeing these?

  • Photoshop says it's running in Trial mode.

    Hi there,
10 days ago I purchased the Lightroom+Photoshop package. I went on to install that on my Mac Pro but now everytime I open Photoshop it pops open the Adobe Application Manager who reminds my that there are X days remaining on my Photoshop trial. Lightroom works without problems.
I can click on either License this software or Contintue Trial. When I select license this software I get the message that login is required. It already knows my Adobe ID. When I click on the Sign In button it just goes to the next screen that asks for a serial number which I obviously don't have since it's a CC product and we don't get serial numbers.
The strange part is, I also installed it on my MacBook Pro and it works flawlessly there. It activates/registers without issues.
Yesterday I removed all the CC software with the provided Adobe CC removal tools. I also manually deleted every trace of Adobe files I could find on my system (application support files in both the Libraries, caches etc). I then went on to reinstall the software but the issue remains. Lightroom works, Photoshop keeps claiming it's running in trial mode.
I searched for a solution to this problem on the internet and these forums at first. There are a lot of people having this issue but no real solution is given (or no solution that actually works for me). It seems to be a somewhat common issue unfortunately.
One of the things I read is that it could be a language issue, when installing the software in a different language than your OS. My OS is in Dutch but I installed the software in English international (because I'm not used to a Dutch language photoshop, I get all lost if it's not in English ). But on the other hand, on my laptop the situation is exactly the same. Dutch OSX, English CC install. And yet that works perfectly.
Also my hosts file is clean, nothing is blocking communication to Adobe servers. I also tried disconnecting and reconnecting my account from inside the Creative Cloud menu app's settings to no avail.
It frustrates me to no end that the almost exact same setup works on my laptop and not on my desktop machine. Especially because the Mac Pro is my work machine and I rarely, if ever, use Photoshop on my laptop.
I really don't want to wait and see what happens in 20 days when the trial runs out. I don't know what to do anymore after doing that clean install (unless I missed just that crucial file that causes the issue..). Maybe it's an issue on the CC authentication server's end. Maybe I tried reinstalling too many times and it now thinks I'm running it on more than 2 computers? But that seems unlikely.
I'm running OSX 10.9.2 on both machines.

  • I have an Adobe  Order number.   When I use Photoshop it says my trial version will finish soon.  How do I find a redemption or serial number for my account?

I have an Adobe Order Number [removed by moderator] for a 12 month plan.
When I use PHOTOSHOP is says my trial version will run out soon.  But when I sign in I need a redemption number.  How do I find my redemption number??

    Hi Janet,
    Welcome to the Adobe Forums!
I have verified your account and everything is alright in our end. You don't need any redemption code as you subscribed on June 29, 2014.
If you have any trouble to launch your Adobe product and has been revert to trial and/or prompt for a serial number, please try the steps below:
    1. Sign Out and Sign In back following the steps:
Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app
    2. Delete the OPM.db file:
    Close the Creative Cloud application.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    Delete the opm.db file.
    Launch Creative Cloud.
Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions | Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7
Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion
    3. Reset your Hosts File: (follow the steps 3 from the link below)
Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later
Please, let me know how it goes and if the issue still stand after following scrupulously the given steps.
    Thanks.
    Arnaud.

  • Still in trial mode despite use of redemption code

I was given a year subscription by an adobe employee as they are trying to convert all the editors at my job to Premiere Pro from FCP. I received the email with the code and entered it, then I downloaded a bunch of apps but they all ask for a serial which I never got. Did I miss a step in the process or something?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Bernardosan72
Sorry to hear you're still having difficulties. I looked at your order and it looks like the type of membership which should only require you signing in with your Adobe ID and no redemption code.  Do you see any kind of button at the bottom with a "License this software" option that you can use to sign-in? If for some reason Photoshop was unable to activate, that would be an explanation why its running in trial mode. In addition to the link John provided, this one might be useful too: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html
If you continue to have difficulties, contacting our support via chat like John suggested would be a good next step.

  • Photoshop Says I'm on 'trial', but I bought the program?

Earlier this year, I purchased a copy of Photoshop cs6 direct from Adobe online. Downloaded it, installed it, and ran smooth as glass. A few months later, I decided to download a trial of After Effects to play with, knowing I wouldn't buy it in the end, just wanted to give it a whirl.
Now out of no where, when I open photoshop, it tells me I'm running on a trial mode and need to 'authenticate' my purchase or continue using the trial? Uhmm, what? I've already paid for it, I have the authentication key and everything, why is it telling me I'm on a trial? Does it have anything to do with After Effects? Should I uninstall that?

You should probably move this to a different forum.  This is Digital Editions forum.

  • Trouble opening a new trial of Photoshop since I have a used computer

I have a used macbook and Photoshop trial has already been used on it. However, I'd like to try it as well. I created an Adobe account etc and I uninstalled whatever Adobe and Photoshop application that was on my desktop and then reinstalled with my own Adobe account information. It says that it successfully loaded but when I go to open Photoshop it says my trial has expired, even though I haven't used it. Help!

Once a trial is installed on a computer and the 30 days expires there's no way you can use it for another 30 days. Uninstalling / reinstalling the software wont reset the trial days counter.
But you can opt for the Adobe subscription offer.
Adobe now offers month-to-month and one-year subscriptions for most individual CS6 applications. In addition, Adobe now offers membership in Adobe Creative Cloud, which gives users ongoing access to most Creative Suite applications. This means you can continue to use your application on a month-by-month basis for a fraction of the full purchase price. Learn more about CS subscription editions.
