  • Distribution of planned cost of activity and its linked to PS cash flow

    Dear PS Gurus
Kindly tell us how to distribute my planned cost (in result of internal, external activities ) should be equally distributed in the over planning period of activity (Say six months) and  also it should  have linked to my cash flow  also.so that by fund get adjusted .
For Eg My activity A has planned cost 1,20,000 /-  which is going to complete in  6 Months  .Hence my planned cost should be distributed 20,000 / month and that should be reflects in cash flow.
    Regards
    Project Team 1

    Hi,
You can distribute your planned costs at activity level based on the distributionkey you specified. The distribution is done for the entire duration of activity depending on the Dist key you select. If you do not put any Dist key, then the costs would be distributed equally across the entire duration of activity. If you want to have equal distribution of costs, you can use DK- SAP020 which distributes on earliest dates of activity using Factory calender. If you want you can also define your own DK in SPRO under: Production->capacity requirements planning->operations->capacity requirements->distribution.
    Hope this clarifies..
    Best regards..

  • CN41N and S_ALR_87013533 report not showing Production order planned cost

    Hi Experts,
I am having issue to get total planned production order values in my CN41N or S_ALR_87013533 cost report. I am facing 2 issues :
    1. CN41N repoet does not show individual material cost planned in BOM.
    2. CN41N report and S_ALR87013533 report does not show total value but only picking fixed value.
    Example :
    1. CN41N report :
Above screenshot shows no values in Project plan cost & Order cost column but it shows total cost as a lumpsum on top for project. I need to know how can i get material cost populated here for Project Valuated stock material?
    2. S_ALR_87013533
This report shows Total Cost of BOM as 1 line under Material Procurement activity similar to CN41N report. Also Order value is picking from Fixed cost from planned order and total cost is added on top. How can i get Total cost picked from production order?
Is there any Setting in PS config which allow me to pick the detail production order plan cost in both report under planned cost.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
I doubt whether Item level reporting  in S_ALR... (hierarchy report) is possible or not because I haven't seen item level cost in them only the lump-sum cost because they are summarized at cost object level itself. Navigation path are there which we use to go into details of cost.

  • Service Order Planned Costs and Cost Center Planned Line Items

    Experts,
I am curious of Service Order Planned costs, and whether or not these planned costs are being posted to the Cost Center linked to the Service Order Operation's work center.
I am a but puzzled as I don't see any planned costs from any Service Order Operation in a cost center linked to the Operations work center, when reviewing "Cost Centers: Plan Line Items" report.
    BR,
    Cenk

The planned costs were input in one of the Service Order operations as planned hours. There is a column for it in the operations list. The amount of hours have incurred a planned cost on the Service Order header.
I simply assumed that this cost would be credited to the Cost Center linked to the operation's Work Center. But that is obviously not the case. I am not familiar with the PLICC field and the functionality it provides.
    Thanks!

  • Planned Cost not coming for CO Activity in PM Order

    Dear All,
I am putting up the entire configuration process i am carrying out for CO activity and using it in the PM Order.
Please see the link and guide me through as to why the Planned Cost for the Activity is mssing.

    Regards
    Praveen Dhankar

    Hi,
Kindly check the logs in the maintenance order,it will show that the valuaton variant defined wasnot successful.
The problem is The activity price is not calculated properly, ask the CO consutant to maintain the activity price proprerly with updation. against that cost center.
The second one is no need to maintain the activity in workcenter as per your attachment sheet.
Maintain in Basic data of workcenter as standard value key as SAP0 No standard value key & in Costing view maintain the cost center,Activity in below field & maintain the formula as SAP0008.

  • Planned Costs by Quarter

Hi all, does anyone have any suggestions on how we could enter planned costs per quarter for a project? I see we can enter planned costs per monthly period per cost element but not per quarter. Preferably, I would not need to use cost element planning and could simply plan overall, yearly, or quarterly per project. Thanks for the advice.
    Shaun.

    Hi Shaun,
Before going to implement cost planning, Pl. refer the following link of SAP Help on COST.
Once you get overall brief or clear idea of  different cost planning functionalities of SAP PS, based on the need of your project, you can go with cost planning : cost element Planning /Activity Type Planning / hierarchy cost planning(Overall/Yearly)/unit costing(Not relevent to period)/asynchronus network cost planning.
And we have Std Cost element and Hierarchy reports to compare the Project's  Actual cost with Planned Cost.
You can compare project cost in many ways like  WBS element wise, Value category wise,Period/Financial wise, Business Transaction wise and cost element wise.
And also  compare project costs in different versions.

  • Inclusion of planned cost to the material while Invoicing

    Hi Everyone,
We are facing a problem, kindly guide me to solve it:
We are purchasing 'X' Material (split valuated) through a Purchase Order in which we did not provide any planned cost.
But after GR we came to know that planned cost should also have been entered in the PO. But in the PO, while creation we did not select any planned cost line for the item. So after approval of PO and GR, we were not able to enter any planned cost.
Now while adding up planned cost during Invoicing through MIRO, we are facing an error message:
Error saving valuation data for material P1S002 0002
    Message no. M8829
    Diagnosis
Error occurred when the system tried to save the valuation data.
Please guide me how to do invoicing by including the planned cost and booking the planned cost in the material.

  • Plant Maintenance Order planning costs transfer to Cost Centers.

    Hello,
    1.  Capacity Planning
I'm trying to get planning information from a PM order back to a cost center.
I have planned operations in a PM order with a valid activity type and the work center is linked to the Cost Center.
But I cannot see any information in KSBL, Cost Center planning report.
I have tried KSPP - Transfer to Cost Center and KSOP - Transfer to Activity based costing.
    Both come up empty.
    What am I missing?
    2.  Costing.
I would like the planned costs in the PM order to settle to the cost center plan.  But the PM orders are not configured for planned settlement (I believe that's an SAP setting).
How do I get the planned costs into a cost center's plan?
Thank you very much for your help,
    Dan.

Thanks, but I'm trying to integrate the planning that happens in a PM order with the cost center.  I was able to get planned costs from the orders via S_ALR_87012993.
the lack of planned settlement in a PM order is annoying.  We do a lot of work on PM orders and settle actual costs to cost centers.  It would be nice to use that same functionality (Operations, Components, task lists) to be able to plan costs and settle the planned costs to cost centers.  Internal Orders can settle planned costs to cost centers, why not PM orders?
I believe the KSPP transaction helps to link the two objects somehow, but I can't get it to work.  If anybody has any insights, that would be great.
Or should I be pursuing something else?
    Thanks.
    Dan.

  • Target cost and planned cost

What is the difference between Target cost and planned cost in discrete production orders? Please advise.

    Dear
Planned costs will be updated after creation of production order.
Target costs will be updated after delivery of the production order.
Plan cost    = Plan qty X Planned price (std. cost estimate)
Actual cost = Actual qty X Actual price
Target Cost = Actual qty X Planned price (std. cost estimate)

  • Planned Cost WBS Element = which extractor

    Der all,
i try to extract the planned cost for an WBS element.
The extractor 0CO_OM_WBS_2 delivers no data and 0CO_OM_WBS_3 only a few.
Am I using the correct extractors.
I want to extract the same figures you can see in R/3 with transaction CJ41.
    Thanks for help !
    Marc

    Hi,
Please try the 0CO_OM_WBS_1 extractor for WBS Element Costs (Plan). Data can be extracted using Currency Type = 00 (transaction Currency), 10 (CC Currency) and 20 (Controlling area currency).
Refer to the below link for fields of origin in the extract Structure.

  • CProjects Planned costs not replicating in PS

    Hi,
We are on PPM5.0. We are able to create cProjects Project and replicate to PS upon u201CFlag for transferu201D.
We also have cost/revenue rates, for roles. We have roles assigned to tasks, and intend to transfer the costs (product of cost-rate and role-task-assignment hours) to show up in PS.
We are not using the HR org. The question is regarding the cost element and activity types.
After replicating  the Project Type, Cost/revenue rate from cProjects to the accounting system, we link a cost element, activity type to the Cost/Rev rate.
Suppose, we have Cost Element u201CCu201D, and Acticity Type u201CAu201D, linked to the Cost/Revenue rate (the Org. is marked to u201C0u201D). How do we need to link the corresponding u201CCu201D, and u201CAu201D to the WBS elements to be able to see the Planned Costs?
Currently, we get Planned Values as 0, and are not sure whatu2019s more to be done to get the planned costs.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

You have rates maintained I assume.
One thing worth checking is the "tick" box called "costing" in spro>cProjects->Connection to external systems>Accounting integeration--->Make General settings.
You should have a cost/rev rate with correct validities which should be replicated in SAP PS as well. Also, do "Replicate accounting relevant charateristics".
PS: I am no expert in this area so try and test your changes.
