Planning Level and Planning Group empty

Hello
We have recently activated EA-FIN (Financials Extension) in our client´s SAP system (ECC 6.0) to implement Liquidity Planner via transaction SFW5.
After this activation, we found that SAP is not updating fields of planning level (FDLEV) and planning group (FDGRP) in BSEG for relevant  FI document postings, these fields are empty after FI document postings. We don´t no this is because of activation of EA-FIN or some customizing parameters of Liquidity Planner. We were not able to find any SAP notes for this issue. Can anybody help out please.
Thanks and regards
Srinivas

HI,
Directly EA-FIN doesn't have any impact on said issue. EA-FIN activation is mandatory for any TRM implementation and the said fields are updated properly in the documents without any issue.
You can try one option since you activated EA-FIN in between. Run Tcode -FDFD which will update all cash managment related flows and fields at both FI & TRM areas.
Please confirm the testing of FDFD in test system before executing the same in Live System.

  • Planning a materail at plant level and the MRP Area

    Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to plan the same material at the plant level and  at the MRP area level ( Storage location MRP)?. If so please provide the steps how this needs to be set-up. what will the implications on the MRP.
    Thanks!
    Nagesh.

    Hi,
Inventory can be valuated at two levels either at company code level or at plant level. If you select valuation at company code level, all materials across all the plants will have same material price since valuation is at only company code level.
Say for example Company code 1000 is buying a material which unit price is Rs. 10 from a vendor who supplies to two different plant A & B of company code 1000.  Assume Plant A is situated near vendor premises itself (so freight cost is Re 1 extra)  whereas plant B is situated at far away from vendor place (so freight cost rs 2 extra) and both cases freight cost is borne by the company and not by vendor.
Assuming you have selected valuation at plant level, now in plant A same material will be valauted at Rs. 11 (10 +1) whereas at plant B it is valuated at Rs. 12 (10+2).
Whereas if you have selected valuation at company code level, price will not be valuated at plant level rather at company code level which will get updated at moving average price in this case.
So it is always best practice to select valuation at plant level rather than at company code level.

  • Aggregation level and planning filter question

    Hi,
I have below questions on aggregation levels and planning fitlers.
Scenario: An Aggregation level is built on a multiprovider( Actual Cub1(5 chars, 4 keyfig), Actual Cube2(8 chars, 6 key fig), and Real Time Cube3(8 chars and 3 keyfig)). A FOX copy function has to be built on this aggregation level in which data from cube1 will be copied to cube 3.
    1. Does an Aggregation level need to have all chars and keyfigures from cube 1 and cube 3? or it should have structure of Cube 3 only as data will be written to cube 3?
    - what are the standard design considerations for defining aggregation level?
    2. In planning filter, both cube1 and cube3 are to be restricted or only cube3?
Is it necessary that only target planning cube is to be resricted? In that case how function will get the source data from cube1?
    - what are the standard design considerations for defining planning filter?
Please provide some info on this...
any document on design consderations for planning object will be great.
    Thanks,
    Pundari.

  • Current View as filter in BPC Vs Planning level and package in BPS

    Hi,
If I understand correctly, the current view is as like a filter in BPC as planning level and package in BPS, by comparing then I notice that the value for current can only be single value while in planning level and package we can have range, multiple value of single value.
Let's have a planning scenario  we need to planning for every month based on the actual month data,
in BPS we can easily configure two type of columns with actual and planning data, while in BPC, since the current view only  allow single value, we have to copy the actual data to planning data, then with the category set to planning, we can do our planning. Of course if there is hierarchy, we can use parent to allow to display all the child.
The other option is to use the EvGTS function which can retrieve the data outside the current view.
Anybody have other though on this?

    Hi JW-
I did not mean to imply that the Current View (CV) is not a filter.  It can definitely be used to filter data presented from an EVDRE as well as other Ev functions, just like filters in BPS and IP.  However as a developer you have the option to use the CV or, through your configuration, disregard and/or override the CV settings.
One example of disregarding CV settings is using standard Excel functions to provide the user a dropdown list from which to select certain dim members.  The drop down box selection could be used instead of the CV for defining Ev function selections.  My point is that you have multiple design paths of controlling what data is selected/processed; you are not only limited to the CV values.  From a performance viewpoint, you are correct in assuming that limiting the data selection will greatly impact overall performance.  Using the CV to limit data selection to enhance performance is very valid approach, just be aware that there are several alternative ways (other than using CV to control data selection) available to the developer.

  • Costing affect with MRP at planned order level and after production order

    Dear all,
How the costing affect with MRP at planned order level and after production order completion?
Edited by: Maulik on Jun 24, 2009 1:59 PM

    Dear Maulik,
check Mr. Vinod's inputs abt costing
    1. Maintain following master data:
MM01 Material Master with Costing and accounting view. Make sure all the cost Std, Moving avg etc is maintained along with valuation class in Accounting view 1. In costing tab pls make sure "with qty structure" and "Material Origin" are ticked.
CS01 BOM with components marked with costing relevance in Status/Long Text Tab. Also check all the qty are correct.
CR01 Work Center in Basic data tab maintain standard value key sau SAP1 and in costing tab maintain the workcenter, activity type and formulas (Usually standard formulas like for Machine Hours SAP006, Labour SAP007, Setup Activity SAP005 is used).
KL01 Cretae activity types, in basic data tab maintain ATyp Category AS "1" and cost element (as provided by your FI Guy).
KP26 Activity pricing, here with the combination of Activity type and the cost center you assign price to the activity.
    2. SPRO Activity
Maintain Costing sheet IMGControllingProd cost controllingProd Cost PlanningBasic settingoverheadsdefine costing sheet.
OKKN Define costing variant, you define costing type (In the costing type, you define the purpose of a material cost estimate by specifying, for example, which field in the material master record the costing results can be transferred to like std price, moving avg etc), Valuation Variant (defines how the prices are prioratized), date control and transfer structure.
    3. Costing Process Flow:
    1. CK11N CREATE COSTING RUN
    2. CK24 CREATE PRICE UPDATE (You Mark and release the prce to be updated)
    4. COSTING VARIANT WRT PP
    1. OPL1 DEFINE COSTING VARIANT WRT PP
    2. OKK4 or OPN2 DEFINE VALUATION VARIANT
    3. OKK1 or OPM1 DEFINE COSTING TYPE
    4. OPL8 ORDERTYPE DEPENDENT PARAMETER (assign the above creted costing type for both planned and actual)
Hope this will throw some light on product costing.

  • Planning at daily level and weekly reports ?

    Dear Experts,
Will be advisable to do Planning at daily level and weekly reports in 7.5 NW?
Any body did these kind of project earlier ? Kindly provide suggestions / recommendations please...
    Thank you,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
We had done a planning at the daily level. However, the scope was also small for this planning scenario.
The main point is that in case of daily planning, the volume of the data might get too high. Any complex manipulation of the data might take a longer time due to the huge volume of the data.
    Hope this helps.

  • Planning Group Changes - Vendor / Customer Line Item update

    Dear SAP Experts
We have updated the Vendor and Customer master records with new planning groups. Although these have been updated in all the master records the vendor and customer existing line items as seen in the FBL1N and FBL5N reports have not been updated.
Can you please tell me how they can be updated.
    With many thanks
    Pete

Try running program "RFFDNA00" in Transaction code SA38. Here you can select vendors and customers.
This program will delete and re-construct the data in cash management.
    Hope this helps.

  • Updating Planning Groups in line items

    Dear SAPers
We have updated the Vendor Master Data with revised planning groups. Can you please tell me how the documents already posted can be updated with the new planning group.
For example in FBL1N and FNL5N the new planning groups are visable for new postings.
As always your feedback is appreciated.
    Thank you
    Peter

    Dear Peter,
please insert the field into table V_TBAER. Then please try to change it by FB02. If You're able to do it, please check the note 640908 in order to do it in a massive way. Please remember to run the RFFDKO00 to correct the Cash Management tables as well. Please read the report documentation first.
    I hope this helps You.

  • Re assignment of material from inspection plan group

    Dear Experts,
I have an issue, we got a material which has multiple groups assigned to it.
How to remove the materials assignment from the inspection plan group?
Since the group contains more than 1000 line items, it is very laborious to search every line item and delete manually.
Is there any 1 shot way to remove the assignment?
Please help me out in this, because of multiple assignment, the lot gets into the status of CRTD.
    Thanks in advance,
    Anitha Pauline.

    hi,

  • Additional data in Vendor document header - Planning Group

    Dear all
We which to change the planning group of various vendor line items. We will be using the mass change function in FBL1N and have updated this to include the planning group field as per SAP note. I understand that we also need to update the planning group in additional items in the header for this to work.
Can you please help me on how we can include the planning group in the additional data on the document header.
    PRG

Thank you for yor reply. The problem I am having is that the field 'planning group' is not availalbe in the document header or in the additional fields so I can not update the transactional data not even individually. We have updated all the vendor master data but need to do this for the transactional data. My question is how to add this field?
    Many thanks

  • Need FDGRV (Planning Group) from LFB1 as attribute

    Hello,
I am creating freight separation reports and have run into problem.  Initial specs were to differentiate freight vendors by using different vendor party.  Purchasing dept had determined that all freight vendors would we within a set range.  Now in testing, it has been uncovered that sometimes another vendor will be used  which is not within that range.  Users have now confirmed that I could use the planning group field - FDGRV - from table LFB1.
Data model - multiprovider is in place.  Using 2LIS_06_INV - Invoice Cube and Custom DSO of purchasing budgeted data.
I know that I could enhance the 2LIS_06_INV datasource and bring in Planning Group - FDGRV -  from LFB1 table.
Another consultant suggested the idea of bringing it in as an attribute to the different vendor party field?
Can anyone help walk me through these steps? I am not experienced with this method.
    Thank you...

I  figured it out - completed.

  • Mass change 'Planning group'

    Hi,
I want to run heuristics SAP_PP_002 according to the planning group. But the field 'planning group' in /SAPAPO/MAT1 is null. How to mass change the field 'planning group'?
    Thank you,
    Rui

    Rui,
You can use the MASSD transaction to update these values.
Use "Enhanced Product" in the Object Type field, build your selection as you like.
Under Components and Attributes to Be Maintained," use the drop-down on Component.  Under the "Location Dependent Data" group look for the "Planning Group" attribute.  Select it.
You should be able to continue from there if you are familiar with MASSD.  NB:  Be extremely careful using MASSD.  It is very easy to create problems you cannot undo.
