Plant maintenance order settlement to cost center

Hi,
I have a requirement from the client that PM order costs should be settled to Cost center (real) and credit the order line with statistical cost center.
1. Consumables GL is debited at the time of goods issue with refrence to PM order , cost center is not updating in this line item
2. Settlement rule maintained as cost center receiver which is mentioned in the PM order and after settlement consumables GL is getting credited with Order and debit to cost center mentioned in settlement rule , statistical cost center is not updating in credit line
My client requirement is
Statistical cost center should update along with Maintenance order at the time of goods issue for consumables GL (Debit)
Statistical cost center should update along with maintenance order at the time of settlement for PM order (Consumables GL credit with statistical cost center and maintenance order and the same GL debit with settlement receiver cost center (real)).
If i provide cost center in account assignment at the time of Goods issue , system is updating the cost center along with order , however at the time of settlement both cost center and order are not updating in credt line item and the cost is lying in the order without settling.
Please advise any configuration setting or user exit to meet the above requirement.
Thanks,
Sreedhar

Hi Ravi,
Thanks for the update.
If i give the cost center in acct assignment in MB1A it is taking , is there is any option to default the cost center either from PM order or thru some other setting.
I have tried both substitution and OKB9 , however system is not defaulting the cost center from this settings.
Please let me know if there is any other option to default the cost center in MB1A.
Thanks,
Sreedhar P

• PM Order Settlement to Cost Center(real) & Internal Order simultaneously

Dear Experts.
I have a request from client to settle 100% of PM order to Cost Center (real) and internal order (statistical) simultaneously. The purpose of statistical orders is to capture all the expenses (electricity, water, security charges, maintenance, etc...) location-wise.
PM Order settlement through statistical IO will contribute to the maintenance aspect, and other expenses will be captured to statistical IO through financial GL posting. Hence each location will have a unique statistical order maintained.
In the settlement Profile, I have maintained Order and Cost Center elements as "Settlement Optional" Under "Valid receivers". But the system doesn't allow this settlement. As per my understanding SAP allows settlement (100%) to go only to a single object.
Appreciate your inputs on this matter.
Thanks,
thushantha.

hi,
Please check how you maintained the real object in the settlement rule.
You must maintain both the cost center and internal order on the same assignment line such as:
CAT: Settlement receivers
ORD ORD_Number Cst_Center_number 100% PER
The system will correctly generate KI178 if you have the following:
CAT: Settlement receivers
ORD ORD_Number 100% PER
CTR Cst_Center_number 100% FUL

• Process order settlement to cost center

Hi,
We have a requirement to settle only the quantity to material and the costs to
cost center from the process orders. This is to ensure the materials are
handled as non-valuated and the COGM is computed from the goods consumption
postings.
The process orders will have both co products and by products as well.
There is also one more requirement to allow Purchase orders against the non-
valuated materials.
I am planning to propose the following :-
1) To make the materials valuated but set the standard price to zero to give
the effect of non-valuated materials and at the same time can also raise
purchase orders because otherwise non-valuated materials cannot be used to
raise Purchase orders.
2) When goods receipt happens from the process order the actual costs of the
process order will remain as it is in the process order since the standard
price of the FG is zero and only the quantity will be received into inventory.
3) When process order settlement happens the full actual costs will be settled
to a price difference account and cost center tied to the price difference
account.
Do you guys see any flaws in the above design?

• PP Order settlement at Cost Center

Hi! Gurus,
We have peculiar requirement of settleling PP order at Cost center, client is asking for correct cost center to be pop up as settlement receiver.
moreover we can not remove default receiver(material) otherwise it won't allow GR.
Now the thing, is there any means by which we can populate settlement receiver as "particular" cost center during the order creation, as second line item?
OR
Is there anymeans to put validation, as if correct Cost center would not be selected it will terminate Order creation?
Looking forword expert advice.

Asheesh

Hi Ambi ash,
To achieve this you have to activate a user exit/form exit & substitutions in CO module. Your CO Consultant should be able to help you out.

• Origin Object Type for Plant Maintenance Orders in Profit Center Accounting

Hi,
I want to make a selection for plant maintenance orders in transaction KE5Z, report for line items in Profit Center Accounting. When checking possible input options for the selection field Origing Object Type the system shows value 15 for Maintenance Orders. However I discovered in our system the maintenance orders are reported as Origing Object Type 03, which is Overhead Orders according to the selection list. So I cannot distinguish between overhead orders and maintenance orders in this report.
What is the cause our maintenance orders are assigned to Origin Object Type 03 in stead of 15 and what is the customizing transaction to correct this ?

Looks like, this is no longer supported. Refer to note 168004 and 102434.
Cause and prerequisites
These functions were not programmed to meet the above requirements.
As of Release 4.0, the object type is transferred directly.
Solution
Once you have implemented the advance correction. the origin object type 'Overhead cost order' (03) is assigned irrespective of what is the SCOPE for orders.
As a result of implementing this note or as of Release 4.6B, the order category distinguishes between overhead cost orders and production orders in the origin object type. In this case, the following origin object types result (as described above in 1.):
Order category 04 to 10, 40 => 04 (production order)
All other order categories => 03 (overhead cost order)
The logic that the origin object type was set depending on the object class (as described above in 2.) is no longer supported. The object class can be evaluated separately in Reporting. -
The corrections of this note refer in Release 4.0B to the corrections from Note 102434.

• Plant Maintenance Order planning costs transfer to Cost Centers.

Hello,
1. Capacity Planning
I'm trying to get planning information from a PM order back to a cost center.
I have planned operations in a PM order with a valid activity type and the work center is linked to the Cost Center.
But I cannot see any information in KSBL, Cost Center planning report.
I have tried KSPP - Transfer to Cost Center and KSOP - Transfer to Activity based costing.
Both come up empty.
What am I missing?
2. Costing.
I would like the planned costs in the PM order to settle to the cost center plan. But the PM orders are not configured for planned settlement (I believe that's an SAP setting).
How do I get the planned costs into a cost center's plan?
Thank you very much for your help,
Dan.

Thanks, but I'm trying to integrate the planning that happens in a PM order with the cost center. I was able to get planned costs from the orders via S_ALR_87012993.
the lack of planned settlement in a PM order is annoying. We do a lot of work on PM orders and settle actual costs to cost centers. It would be nice to use that same functionality (Operations, Components, task lists) to be able to plan costs and settle the planned costs to cost centers. Internal Orders can settle planned costs to cost centers, why not PM orders?
I believe the KSPP transaction helps to link the two objects somehow, but I can't get it to work. If anybody has any insights, that would be great.
Or should I be pursuing something else?
Thanks.
Dan.

• Settlement rule Mandatory for Plant Maintenance order

Hi Expert!
I want to make the option Settlement rule mandatory while creating plant maintenance order. I would really appreciate if you provide me the menu path in customisation to make this mandatory.
Thanks
J

Hi Jean
I do not think you can make it mandatory while creation itself.
But, you can make it mandatory (Check Functions for setting order types->settlement rule....) for order release.

• Actual & planned costs calculated while creating Plant Maintenance Order

Hi All,
I would like to know how the actual & planned costs calculated while creating Plant Maintenance Order (PM Order)
Thanks,
Ajay

You need to create an activity rate for 2014 for cost centre 51260201 and activity type NAHG20.
This can be done via transaction KP26, but is usually performed by your Finance team.

• Is it possible to make Plant Maintenance Order Statistical

Hi All,
Is it possible to make Plant Maintenance Order Statistical so that cost will be directly booked to respective WBS elements *without* doing settlement.

No need to do settlement to WBSE. Assign WBSE to PM order and in config transacton OPSV, mark the check box for order category 30.

• Costs to be recorded to Internal Order instead of Cost Center

Hi,
My client has created a new Personnel Area and has started hiring people for it. They did not create a cost center for this. Meanwhile, if any costs are to be recorded for the employees in this Personnel Area, the client wants them record to an Internal Order (instead of Cost Center). Later, when they create a cost center, they may transfer the costs from Internal Order to the Cost Center.
What needs to be done to satisfy this scenario.
Best Regards,
Veera

hi
create internal order through kO01, which is of type real order, and post all the expenses by keeping this internal order as cost object. later as you want to settle this internal order to cost centre, you should have settlement profile attached to the internal order to settle that. please update settlement profile while creating the internal order

• Maintenance Order settlement - KSB1

Dear Friends,
I have done the Maintenance order settlement (used sencondary cost element) and checked in report KSB1.
There the report is bringing the cost and not bringing the corresponding materian no. and its description.
So can you please help me out to sort out, what kind of set up i need to do for brining up material no and
its description against this cost.
In this report costs that are not settled through order maintenance are appearing with material no and description
details. whereas costs that are done through order settlements are not bringing the material details.
Kindly clarify.
Kind Regards,

Hi,
we can see the material no. and description in the KOB1 report for the maintenance order. Check the layout before generating the report.

• Internal orders/networks and Cost center

is it correct to say, all internal orders and process orders will roll into a cost center at the end.
Sri

Hello Ganga,
You can settle the costs collected on an internal order to one cost center, one G/L account, or one business process using one settlement cost element.
Hene, it is not necessary that all internal orders will roll in to a cost centre at the end.
