HI
I do radio broadcasting from home on Laptop.
Have just got a new HP Pavilion and if I plug in my external mike the playback is coming through the mike and not the speakers!
There is obviouslly a setting somewhere to tweak but I cannot find where??
Have Windows 8.1 as this is a brand new lappy
Any pointers?
Thanks

Hey squiffy2,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you are having a problem with playback through your microphone on your new HP Pavilion PC. I will try my best to help you with this. To better guide you, could you please tell me the full model or product number of your computer and the operating system that is running on it. Here are some guides for How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? and Which Windows operating system am I running?.
In the meantime, here is a document for How to Change the Default Playback & Recording Audio Device, that explains how to change the default settings.
I hope this helps, please let me know how it goes.
Thank you and have a great day!
I worked on behalf of HP.

  • No Audio Playback through External Speakers

Audio Meters indicate audio is playing. Mute is not engaged. "Canvas Playback" is checked. Perhaps the problem is in the setup, where it indicates that "Playback Output Audio" is sent through Firewire DV. My speakers run through USB, not Firewire. However, the only way I can access setup is through "Easy Setup" which gives me no option to change audio output to anything other than firewire.

The audio will not go out via USB. It will only go to the internal speakers or the speaker jack or go out via FireWire.

  • Audio input through external microphone not 'heard' by computer

I can record audio with any app through the builtin mic.  And I know the system 'hears' sound through the builtin mic when I go to SystemPreferences->Sound->Input.
I have an external microphone that I want to record through.  I went to SystemPreferences->Sound->Input and chose 'Line In' and plugged in the microphone's lead into the 'in' jack.  However the SystemPreferences->Sound->Input Input Level sensor/detector is dead -- it shows no audio input.  Nor does iMovie pick up any audio input when the mic is plugged in.
I know the input jack works by plugging in the output pin from a cassette-player, choosing 'Line In', and playing a cassette.  The Input Level sensor/detector comes on and the sound is available to apps.
I know the external microphone works by plugging it into the cassette-player and recording from it and tapping and rubbing on its pick-up.  The sounds are captured on cassette tape.
So why is audio input through external microphone not 'heard' by the computer?  Is there some trick to making it work?

There are a few possibilities, but the most likely is that your microphone does not produce enough signal to be "heard" through the Mac line input. Usually this is normal, with most microphones producing perhaps 1/100th of the signal needed, which would be called "mic level".
You cassette deck probably outputs "line level", much stronger and strong enough to register in the Mac Line input. Similarly, the cassette deck microphone input is probably "mic level" and much more sensitive than the Mac line input.
There are other possibilities, such as a powered microphone, but you have not provided any model numbers or specifications to analyze.
Try this: plug in the microphone like you did before, and make a really loud sound right in front of the mike, like clapping hands. You may see or hear a faint sound register on the Mac.
The usual cure is to buy a microphone preamplifer. You can also buy a new microphone with a built-in preamplifier. You can also buy a USB microphone or preamplifier device that bypasses the analog Line input entirely.

  • E93z All in One I want Audio playback through speakers and headphones at the same time

    Hi there,
As the subject line reads I am hoping to enable playback through both the headphone and internal speakers on the E93z All in One unit I have.
Is there is currently a way to do this with the Lenovo HD Audio software for the Realtek system? It detects the headphones and does the typical shut off of the internal speakers however no option to enable playback through both seems to exist.
Running Windows 7 Pro 32 bit.
I cannot enable stereo mix (by right clicking in the playback area of the sound settings in Windows) to try and come up with a work around.
I have tried re-installing the drivers and not luck with more options to do this.
I have tried un-installing the Lenovo HD audio software and still no luck using the vanilla Windows 7 software.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well basically I want to hook in some external speakers via the headphones jack and the more speakers the better, I just figure if there's a way to have 4 speakers instead of just two it'd be cool, why let the internal speakers go to waste?
Do you know if plugging in headphones physically cuts off the internal speakers or if it's a software/driver thing?
    Thanks to all who've replied
I'm pretty sure it's all in the OS, since the level control is right at the top. You can actually customize sound profiles individually for headphones or the built-in speaker, or any other sound devices. You can also use Bluetooth headphones (or a headset) or USB output devices. As far as I know, only one can be selected (in System Preferences) even if multiple ones are plugged in.

    I would try in oreder:
    - Resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restoring the iPod via iTunes.  First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • Support Desk Message Creation in SOLUTION MANAGER  through  External Emails

    Hello Experts,
I am a ABAP Developer , as mentioned in subject, my part is to Create support desk message in solution manager, through external Emails like outlook Express . To do this task i  am in need of more information about some  componenets which are used in solution manager support desk Message.
          My Doubts are,
    1) What is the use of Ibasecomponent in Message Creation?
    2) What if the ibasecomponent is mentioned as a defaut value ' 24 ' ( i.e is the ibasecomponent for solution manager - support desk ) ?
    3) To track the system from which the message is created , is ibase required or the SAP component will give those information?
If anyone has already worked with this subject, please give me some suggestions ASAP.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mohana

    Hello Mohana,
Let see if I can explain this well:
    1) What is the use of Ibasecomponent in Message Creation?
When you define a Solution in the SOLMAN, you need to update your Ibase
    Edit->Initial Data transfer for Ibase
This create a tree structure in the ibase IB52, as you can see in the attachment.
You get a componet number for SID-Client
You can configure the SOLMAN in a way that when a message arrives from
    <System ID> <Installation Number> <Client> <User Name>
this is what solman knows from a message comming from a satellite, them you
know directly from which component/ibase the message has been received.
This is important data, the component/ibase, for reporting issue, for assigning this component to a sold-to-party (being in IB52, left tree, select a system and go to Goto->Partner  you can assign a Sold-to party BP there for example)
    2) What if the ibasecomponent is mentioned as a defaut value ' 24 '
By default the SOLMAN system has a Intalled base 01 already created for being used and maintained "automatically":
being in dswp, solution : Edit->Initial Data transfer for Ibase
If not you msut maintain the ibase manually from IB52, this is also possible.
The Ibase 01 is a prconfigured iBase for being used for the SOLMAN application.
Tink that the SOLMAN system is built up a CRM system, so the IBase is CRM matter. SOLMAN is only using some CRM applications to build the Service Desk scenario for example.
I3) To track the system from which the message is created , is ibase required or the SAP component will give those information?
    Ibase is required
    Hope this helps,
    Dolores

  • Error in accessing data through external table

    Hi,
I am getting the following error while trying to view data through external table,
ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout
    ORA-29400: data cartridge error
    KUP-04062: no data source specified
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.ORACLE_LOADER", line 19
according to this error "KUP-04062: no data source specified", location should be specified and i have specified the location as
    LOCATION (<diectory_name>:' '),
then also it is giving the same error.
    Please Help!

I am also got the same error when retrieving the data from external table.
I resolve this problem, like this:
    1. I imported the flat file(.csv) into repository.
    2. Map that flat file fields to database table cols.
    3. Deployed the mapping using controlcenter, and run the mapping.
    4. if it fails there, i loaded the flatfile data through the command prompt using "sqlldr" statement and control file is our mapping control file.
5 Then it loaded data into database table sucessfully.
    Thanks.

  • I have a G5 power PC dual 2ghz  10.5.8 and my recording interface stopped outputting. I used 2 different interfaces and changed cables, neither solved my problem. With everything plugged up i can hear playback through the internal speaker.

I have tried System preferences, input and output. I have tried the midi controls in utilities. With everything hooked up correctly I cannot get the interface to playback through the box or record now. When i hit play I can hear the playback coming through the internal speaker on the tower. The interface previously worked fine, bought a second one and it is doing the same thing. Must be a system issue. Please help!

  • My internal speaker on mac book pro works through external devices (e.g headphones) and a red light appears on my audio line port what should i do?

i used macbook pro  2009 OS X 10.9.5 yosemite and  i got troubled on my internal speaker  and it only works through external devices what should i do pls help?

This is the Mac Pro desktop forum. I requested your post be moved to the MacBook Pro laptop forum.
Please move the MacBook Pro forum. Thanks
Also if you mean by external is via the headphone jack then try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

  • Purchase order through External Send to include a CC address

Does anyone have any idea how to get the e-mail of a purchase order sent through External Send to include a CC address in the e-mail?
I have searched the forum and found a few questions regarding sending a purchase order to more than 1 e-mail address using external send, but not solutions.
We have got this working to send to the vendor, but the purchasing manager won't use it until we are able to cc the purchaser into the mail. This is to allow the purchaser to keep track on what has been sent. It seems like an obvious thing to want to do. Is it possible in standard SAP? If not, where should I start to get this to work? Is there a customer exit or another area of code somewhere that I can change to trigger a second e-mail. Alternatively can I run this through workflow somehow?
Any suggestions will be greatfully received and rewarded.
    Thank you
    Karen

The vendor e-mail address is picked up from the master data and the purchaser's e-mail would be picked up from their user account. The problem is that I don't know at what stage in the program SAPFM06P, used for sending the purchase order, I could set up the distribution list.
If I set the vendor address to name.address@somewhere; name2.address@somewhere else this works and both name and name2 receive the e-mail. But it would mean the purchasers ammending the vendor e-mail address each time, which just isn't practical.
I probably should have said that I'm using SAP version 46c and the e-mail is sent using standard SAP settings for 5-External send using program SAPFM06P and form MEDRUCK.
    Thanks for the advice

  • Oracle BI Groups, Roles and permission through external Table

    Hi,
We are using SSo integration with Oracle BI 10g. We need to fetch the roles , permission and groups through an external table to our Oracle BI Dashboard. Please let me know if this is possible.
    Thanks,
    Aditya Arya

    Thanks a lot shru.
I have achieved this User authentication through external table but the roles, groups and permissions are assigned inside Oracle BI only. I need to get the roles from an external database table and map the users in that database only. I do not want to use the administration screen in Oracle BI to achieve this.
Also, I need to know what is the OBIEE variable i can use to override roles, as we use USER for adding a new user and the values that can be used to map the permissions.
    Thanks,

  • Issue when sending PO through external send

    Hi
I did the configuration for sending the PO through external send. When I am assigning message type to PO and selecting option as "send immediately' , messge type is not getting assiged.
    Thanks
    Anand

    Hi,
Check t.code: NACE for application "EF"---->  click Output types
In next screen,Click your message  type and now check did you have Dispatch time 4 (Send immediately) in "Default values" TAB. If not select Dispatch time 4 (Send immediately) & save.
Now you can maintain condition record in MN04 with PO message type with all other details like PO document type with Dispatch time 4 (Send immediately)  ..etc..& save.

Just so I'm clear, user1 connects to the database server and runs the spool to generate a flat file from the database. User2 then uses that flat file to load that data back in to the same database? If the data isn't going anywhere, I assume there is a good reason to jump through all these unload and reload hoops rather than just moving the data from one table to another...
What is the NLS_LANG set in the client's environment when the spool is generated? Note that the NLS_CHARACTERSET is a database setting, not a client setting.
What character set is the text file? Are you certain that the text file is UTF-8 encoded? And not encoded using the operating system's local code page (assuming the operating system is capable of displaying Japanese text)
There is a CHARACTERSET parameter for the external table definition, but that should default to the character set of the database.

  • Sending of GR & GI slips through external mail

    Hi All,
Kindly suggest me, to achieve following client requirement.
The requirement is to send the GR and GI slips through external mail to "Goods Recipient" for MIGO transaction.
    Many thanks,
    Venkat

You might want to use the message type MLGR (mail at goods receipt), but
this message type will only work with the Message transmission medium 7
    (SAPoffice) and the processing routines:
    Program     : RSNASTSO
    FORM routine: SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF
this is, unfortunately, you will be unable to send out an external
mail (transmission medium 5) to your vendor using the message type MLGR.
For a message type MLGR to be outputed, it is necessary to flag in the
Purchase Order Header the 'Goods receipt message' indicator (EKKO-WEAKT)
and, as you can read in the F1-on-line help for this indicator:
    "Indicator: Goods receipt message
Indicator specifying that the system is to issue an appropriate message
to the buyer following each goods receipt in respect of this purchase
    order".
Therefore, the system has been designed to send an internal e-mail to
the User ID who created the purchase order (buyer). This is made via
SAPoffice and medium 7. However, the system has not been designed to
send an external e-mail to the vendor.
You can also check the IMG Activity Documentation for the activity
    'Output Determination' under the path:
    SPRO
    -> Materials Management
-> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory
          -> Output Determination
    "Output Determination
In Inventory Management, output is text that is created at the time of
goods movements. There are output documents such as:
.- goods receipt/issue slips ( example, GR/GI slips, pallet slips)
    .- labels
    .- kanban cards
.- MAIL messages which Inventory Management uses to communicate with
other departments (purchasing or materials planning, for example).
    Note:
In the case of a goods receipt for a purchase order, MAIL messages are
sent to purchasing in two cases:
.- if Purchasing has set the indicator "GR output" in the purchase
        order,
.- if an order price quantity has been entered at the time of a goods
receipt which lies outside the tolerances (for a warning message).
In the case of a goods receipt of missing parts, a mail message is sent
to the MRP controller if the missing parts check is active for the
    plant.
The standard system contains all settings for this output. You only
have to maintain the mail texts for the following output types:
    MLGR (GR message)
    MLMD (GR quantity variance)
MLFH (goods receipt of missing part)".
    Therefore:
1.- MAIL messages within Inventory Management are used to communicate
with other departments (purchasing or materials planning, for
example), but not to send out information to vendors.
2.- MLGR (GR message) are sent out to the Purchasing department only
when the indicator "GR Message" has been set in the purchase order.
