PLD copy to shown on the print document

Hello
What field or what is the trick to have a remark "copy" when you print a document which was already issued first
Thank you

Hi
I am sending the full steps for that, exacly as I did on my test system. Please just adjust the fields number accordling to the one you have in your system and for the documents you are working at (I did for A/R Invoice).
Add the following fields at the Page Header:
1. Field_1
General Tab
untick visible
Left = 0 / Width = 0 / Top = 0 / Height = 0
Content Tab
Source Type: Database
Table: A/R Invoice
Column: Printed
2. Field_2
General Tab
untick visible
Left = 0 / Width = 0 / Top = 0 / Height = 0
Content Tab
Source Type: Formula
Field_1=='N'
3. Field_3
General Tab
untick visible
Left = 0 / Width = 0 / Top = 0 / Height = 0
Content Tab
Source Type: Formula
Field_1=='Y'
4. Field_4
General Tab
Link To: Field_2
Content Tab
Source Type: Formula
Original
5. Field_5
General Tab
Link To: Field_3
Content Tab
Source Type: Formula
Copy
Note: If you don't want to get 'Original' but only 'Copy' you can just remove the Fields: Field_2 and Field_4 from the solution.
I hope that helps.

  • Books are not shown in the TOC of the printed document

    Hello,
I am using Robohelp 10. I have a project with several books and topics. When I generate a web help, everything is fine. But now, I have to generate a printed version of it. My problem is that on the table of contents of the generated document, the books are now shown. I need those books to be shown. Please advise.
I can not post the project I am using so I just used a very simple project which I created.
    This is the original TOC.
and this is the resulting TOC in the printed document.
The books should still be part of the contents same with the original TOC.
I do not know what is wring with my set-up since I only used the default one. It will be great if you can reply to me ASAP since we need to publish our help document. Thanks a lot!

OK, the samples are a known quantity and normally generate correctly. Thus we know it is something about your environment, assuming you used the supplied style mapping template?
In the last page of the print dialog, are you using the supplied Rh Style Mapping template?
After generating with whatever you are using, have you tried right-clicking alongside the TOC and choosing Update Field. That might correct the TOC.
What version of Word are you using?

  • Can I make the printed document writable?

    Hi everyone,
Is there a place in RH9 where I can set an option so that I can save the Word file using its original file name? I want to preview the printed document (Word) and make minor adjustments before I make a PDF.
I have gone through the folders and set them all to be writable--although that doesn't seem to matter; they go right back to being read-only!
    Thanks in advance,
    Mary

To be honest it is always best to generate the Word file separately first anyway, make any edits and then save it as a PDF.

  • Colors of the Icons in the Print Document Content Window

When you right click a single source layout and click properties and then click next it takes you to the Print Document Content Window, where you can take topics and by clicking the arrow that points to the right hand frame, move the topics into your print document.
I have seen posts on this forum where people talk about the colors of the icons on this screen. I have seen these icons colored blue, white and grey, but nowhere in the documentation or on these forums are the colors specifically documented, telling you what they really mean.
I have a situation where for one of my single source layouts, the colors of the topics on the left pane are blue and the colors on the right pane are white. Meanwhile, in another one of my single source layouts the colors on the left are blue, but the colors on the right are grey and that single source layout doesn't generate the topics that I want.
Can anyone explain to me what these colors mean, and if as I am thinking, grey means not there, why are they there in one single source layoput and not in the other?
Below are some screen shots that illustrate my issue.
    This is the bad screen.
and this is the good one.

    Hi there
The gray icons signify that the topics have been excluded by virtue of using a Conditional Build Expression.
The blue icons signify that the topics are included in the Printed Output.
    Cheers... Rick

  • When printing, my preview is correct, but the printed document shows only the center of the printed document

When printing from my MacBook Air, Pages shows the correct preview, but the printed document is only a column taken out of the center of the printed page.  What's going on?

I should add that when I e-mail this document to myself and print it directky from the iMac, it prints fine.

  • Unnecessary black lines being printed in the printed document

I have an year old HP M1136 Laser jet printer ( Serial No. - CND8B9QJ65 ) and use orignal HP cartridges.
And I use Windows 7 ultimate (32-bit) as my operating system.
I guess, The problem isn't regarding the software. It might have something to do with hardware.
The issue is whenever I give the print command to printer, it prints the document as it is but also adds a bunch of blurred black lines on the left side of the printed A4 sheet. This thing ruins the whole look of the document.
Nothing like this happens when Scan command is given. Its only when the printer receives a Print or Photocopy command.
This problem started appearing in the month of  February. At the start I adjusted but now the problem has got bigger. Please help.
An earliest response in this reagrd would be highly grateful.

  • Why do colours change in the printed document

When I add a logo to my artwork in illustrator, import the illustrator file to a word template and print, it changes the printed colours dramatically..(black to blue, green to black and yellow to pink). Do I need to change a setting for that imported logo to make it compatible to print?  Without that particular logo, the document prints fine.

open the file in illustrator--set color space to RGB--save--re add to word doc--try again--by default 'Word' uses an RGB color space-and-most printers convert that, on the fly, to CMYK--however a CMYK file that is converted to CMYK on the fly will usually appear colored as you decsribed

  • When I want to print a document on the internet or web-site, I get the save as menue instead of the printed document.

No more detail available except my other servers work.

Is your printer selected in the Printer - Name box? Is Print to File selected?

  • What monitor is the best for gauging what the printed document will look like?

I am working on a 300+ page book that contains a lot of photos that I have converted from color to grayscale in photoshop. I am using a laptop computer and I cannot judge the quality of the photos on this laptop monitor. What is the best monitor for gauging what the finished product will look like? It is a hardcover book that will be offset printed. I do not know if this particular printer uses computer-to-plate technology or if it is "old style." Thanks!

If you are talking about judging the tonality of the grayscale images there are 2 color profiles that affect the display of a grayscale image. The monitor's profile-- the profile that is created when the monitor is calibrated and describes your monitor's display. And the gray profile that is assigned to the image, if no gray profile is assigned Photoshop's working gray profile is used. By default it is 20% Dot Gain. The accuracy of your grayscale image display depends on how accurate your monitor profile is and the accuracy of the gray profile. You can choose the default 20% Dot Gain but it might not be the press profile.

  • Currency Conversion at the time of Invoice Print Document Creation

    Hi,
In our system for some accounts we receive payments in USD (foreign currency) and at the time of posting, the amounts are stored in both transaction currency and local currency (CAD).
We have a scenario as follows:
Payment is posted as a payment on account (sitting as open credits)
At the time of invoicing, these items are picked up to be included in the bill
Now while calculating the invoice amount, these payments are again converted into local currency by using the configured exchange rate (SAP NetWeaver>General settings>Currencies)
    For e.g.
    Document
    Amt in USD
    Amt in CAD at posting
    Amt in CAD at invoicing
    300000000
    200
    214
    220
    300000001
    144
    145
    159
The print document calculates the invoice amount using (220+159) which is not in sync with what we see in FPL9 (214+145). It also causes the invoice to go out of balance as print workbench is picking up the amounts from the table.
My understanding is that we should be able reconcile the invoice header amount with the account balance in FPL9. In such cases, depending on when the invoice is created (cancel/rebills etc) the amounts will always be out of sync as the exchange rate changes frequently.
Is there a way this functionality can be controlled from the invoicing side? Or does the PWB code have to be modified to handle this situation.
    Thanks for your time.

  • When using 2 printers at 2 locations. Rather than make sure the correct printer is shown when I print is there a way to make one change when I change locations?s there a way to

I have 2 residences each with a printer. When I move from one place to another and try to print I always have to make sure the correct printer is shown in the print window. What can I do to make one change on my MacBook Pro when I change locations so I am not bothered with this nuisance problem?

There was a way from OS9 location manager to set a default printer for any given location. This is not the case in OSX.
You can however, easily change the default printer in Terminal.app with lpoptions -d PRINTERNAME. To view all the printers type lpstat -p. Keep in mind that the name in lpstat -p may be a little different than the name in Printer Setup Utility. You must use the lpstat -p, PRINTERNAME when changing it in Terminal.app. Of course, if the names are the same, you don't need to worry about it.

  • Officejet 6500 Wireless; Copy a page, the printer prints a blank page

My HP Officejet 6500 Wireless is printing just fine when I print something from the Internet, but when I tried to copy a page today, the printer spits out a blank page.  Until today this wasn't a problem.  Have had the printer since March 2010 and this is first time with this problem.

    kathyniebuhr wrote:
My HP officejet 6500 wireless has done the exact same thing starting yesterday.  Do you know how to fix it?
Depending on your print settings the pages printed from the internet may be using the color inks (even to make black).  Try the troubleshooting steps in this page.  If black is not printing in the test page and the troubleshooting steps there do not resolve the issue see this page.

  • Editing Adobe PDF print documents

I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.2.6 in Vista OS.
I normally print  documents into Adobe PDF and save it.  I want to copy some of the text from that document by selecting a sentence in the document.  However, I am not able to do it in the printed document. I am not able to make any undelines or any marks to the text or copy a sentence as I can do with other normal Adobe PDF documents.
I wonder anyone here knows how to make that PDF print documents editable, such as copy a sentence or make underline so on as we can do in the normal documents.
    Thanks for any help.

    Satyrias, try this-
Open the PDF document. Click on Tools Menu -> Advanced Editing -> Touch up Text Tool.
Select the Text. (It will show Loading Fonts... in the right bottom corner). Once done you can select the text and modify it.
However, if you only want to copy a text -> Use 'Select Tool' it looks like an 'i-beam' on toolbar. User it to select text and copy that.
If you want to apply styles:
Right click on the selected text and click on Properties.
Here you can change the color or apply stroke to make it bold.
But I'm afraid, you cannot underline the text here... Adobe recommends users to create the document outside Acrobat and when they are done with that they can finally convert to PDF. There is very limited options available when it comes to edit the documents. Only those that are majorly used.
If the document is a scanned pdf or its an image you can try the following: (However, using Acrobat 8, as its an older version, the chances are not as great as using Acrobat X)
