Hi Experts,

But i want to know  that will it be possible to link PO Document Type & Vendor..if Doc. Type is NB then vendor starting with say 3 series restricted to be used. So that only Service vendor will be used in service PO & Material Vendor will be used in Material PO.
Needed your positive responce...

Looks like you have to check this requirement in a userexit.

  • Po Doc Type & Vendor Type

    Dear All,
As per Company requiremnt we have created different document Types for Material & Service Po.What my requiremnt is that u201CIf Raw Material Doc type is selcted then user shouldnu2019t be able to selct Service vendor. If thsy select service vendor then sysyetm shouldnu2019t allow to create a PO.How can I achieve it??
    Biswajit

    Dear,
Actually doc. type & the vendor code ar now where interlinked in system.
You can create a user exit where in system will first the check the document type of PO.If it Raw material doc. type & if the user enters Service vendor system will fire the exit & ive the message that "You cannot use Service vendor for material PO" or someting similar to this.
    For this,
The service & material vendor must be having different number range which means that they have different account groups.
So in the exit you can define that first check the docu type say (Raw material) & after the vendor code is entered system will check the table LFA1 & field KTOKK(Account group).Define in exit thet for raw material doc type only material vendo account group is permitted. If the field is of service vendor system will fire the exit.
This will prevent the user from entering wrong vendor code.

  • PR to PO  via  ME59 -Doc type issue

    Hi ,
I am executing the functionality of auto PO and did all the master data settings.
When I convert PR of doc type NB to PO via ME59, then it takes PO doc type as NB.
Similarly, when I convert PR of doc type ZNB to PO via ME59, then it takes PO doc type as ZNB
All of the PO doc types are linked to all PR doc types in configuration. Also nothing is maintained in ' Define default values for document types '.
Please let me know if there is any standard setting wherein PR and PO doc types are linked for auto PO.
    Regards

    Hi,
If an order document type exists which is identical to the purchase
requisition document type and is allowed according to Customizing (table
T161A or Customizing Transaction OMEC) this one has the highest
priority. If there is only one allowed document type, the system
generates this one. For several allowed document types, the one which is
entered as a default document type for Transaction ME21 is prior to the
others (table T160 or Customizing Transaction OMH5). If nothing is
entered here or the default document type is not allowed, the system
takes the first allowed document type.
The modification solution uses table T160. You can add an entry via
table maintenance (Transaction SM31 or SE16) for Transaction ME59 and
define a default document type (unfortunately not via Customizing
Transaction OMH5) since they are restricted to the transactions, where
the default document type is applied in the standard system. To be able
to use the default value in Transaction ME59, implement the program
change in report RM06BB10 as per note 114213.

  • PR to PO - ME59 Doc type issue

    Hi Experts,

When I convert PR of doc type ZNB to PO via ME59, then it takes PO doc type as ZNB.
Similarly, when I convert PR of doc type ZNB1 to PO via ME59, then it takes PO doc type as ZNB1.
All of the PO doc types are linked to all PR doc types in configuration. Also nothing is maintained in ' Define default values for document types '.
Please let me know if there is any standard setting wherein PR and PO doc types are linked for auto PO. Your inputs are highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Abhijit

    Hi Abhijit,
For Automatic PO Creation through ME59 transaction, the PR document type needs to be link to only one PO document type. If the PR document is linked to multiple PO document type then the First PO document type which is available in alphabetical order in table T161A corresponding to PR doc type will be picked and the sytem will try to crete the PO for this document type.
Link the PR document with one PO document and try, issue will get resolve.
    Thanks

  • KR doc type posted without vendor line item a mandatory item category

    Hello Gurus,
We have SPL document splitter activated in our ECC system. We have the business transaction variant 0300 / Z001 assigned to doc type KR. The vendor line is obligatory in the above business transaction variant (BTV). THe splitting rule is also assigned for this BTV.
THe problem is that despite having the vendor as obligatory for this BTV, we are able to post the doc type KR (vendor invoice) without the vendor line item e.g.. doc with doc type KR and debit and credit to expense a/c.
Please share your experience if anyone has come across this issue,
    Prakash

    Hi,
To make the vendor line mandatory for KR document type, you can write the validation as below:-
    Step 1:-
Create a message ID via transaction code SE91 for message class /EACC/MSG/ACC_COMP as you want to display to user.
    Step 2:-
Go to transaction GGB0 and create the validation step at complete document level in Financial Accounting as below:-
    Pre Requisits:-
    BKPF-BLART = 'KR'.
    Check:-
Create a exit code using user exit and check that line items have at least one vendor line item.
For this take the help of ABAPer and create a copy of the program RGGBR000 and code your check here and assign to the application area GBLR in view V_T80D via transaction code SM30.
    Message:-
Message created in step 1 as error message.
    Step 3:-
Please also check that this validation has active status (Status=1) at line complete document level (level 3) for your company code in transaction OB28.

  • Vendor payment doc type KZ looking for account type A which is not defined

    Hi Experts
We are processing a Vendor payment where discount is received, howeve,  the message "For document type KZ, account type A is not defined'  in the job log.
Can anyone please put some light on this error.
    Many thanks
    Kind regards
    Dawn

    Hi,
T-code OBA7: there it is defined which doc. type is allowed to use which acount types.
SAP standard for KZ is to use vendor + GL account types.
So check your document that you are going tro post or, if you think its ok, post the same document in a test client and enable doc. type KZ in OBA7 to be used with asset account types to view the result of your posting.
    Best regards, Christian

  • BAPI to park Debit Note (Vendor credit memo) Doc Type: 'KG'

    Hi All,
A friend of mine desperately needs to know any BAPI for parking Debit Note (Doc.type : KG Vendor credit memo)... Please let me know if you know about any BAPI / Funcation module to do it and a little chunk of sample code will surely help me a lot....
    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards,

    Hi Savitha,
Well, we have experiemented with this BAPI "BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_PARK" earlier, but we found out that it dose not work properly for Service Orders; also it dose not seem to post proper debit note. Anyways, we have used another BAPI "BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_POST", it worked but it posts the debit note (Vendor Credit Memo) but we only want to park the debit note and let the user review it and then the user can post it manually or so afterwards...

  • Link PO Doc types to Materials

    Dear experts,
A pretty straight forward question for you:
I have configured a number of PO document types, I'd like to make sure that if a particular material is procured that it will pick the right document type.
I assume I need to set this up in the material master, but am unsure where to make this set up,
    Your help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks, Mark

    Hello, Mark,
nope, in SAP standard there is no link/controll between Material Type and Purchase Order Type.
If you simply want to check that users are using correct PO types (i.e. in manual creation), you can achieve it either with customer enhancement MEREQ001 "Customers' Own Data in Purchase Requisition" (function EXIT_SAPLMEREQ_005 "Checking Customer's Own Purchase Requisition Data"), or BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST "Enhancements for Purchase Order Processing: Customer" (method CHECK "Closing Check").
If you want the system to automatically choose correct doc.type in MRP ("...it will pick the right document type"), it is neccessary to realize, that MRP does not creat POs, but PREQs. Therefore, if you have for each PO type special PREQ type, you can then:
-- create MRP groups (SPRO: Materials Management -> Consumption-Based Planning -> MRP Groups -> Carry Out Overall Maintenance of MRP Groups)
      -- assign MRP group to Material Type (...MRP Groups -> Define MRP Group for Each Material Type);
-- defined default PREQ type type (...Consumption-Based Planning -> Planning -> Procurement proposals -> Define External Procurement)
    Kind Regards

  • Billing doc type - Accounting doc type link

    Gurus,
I would like to know where is the setting for billing document to accounting document.
eg.  I need accounting document type ZX for regular billing and ZY for rebates.
Where can I do this in SAP.  Can you please help
    Thanks

    Hi Ram,
As rightly stated above in billing types you define doc type for that billing type, if it is blank then default RV doc type would be picked up
The document type classifies the accounting documents. It is stored in the document header.
Attributes that control the entry of the document, or which are themselves noted in the document, are defined for each document type. In particular, the number range assigned to the associated documents is defined on the basis of the document type.

  • Posting of cross company transaction with different doc types

    Hi,
    The scenario is:-
We have two companies X and Y.
X makes a payment to Y with the following FI entries:-
    Company Code X
    Dr Vendor Y
    Cr Bank HDFC
    Company Code Y
    Dr Bank ICICI
    Cr Customer X
Now this needs to be a cross company transaction where the doc type for CC X should be vendor Payment 'KZ' while the doc type for CC Y should be a customer reciept with doc type 'DZ'.
Although I am able to map the accounts in cross company code config I am not able to split the transaction of different company codes with different document types.
Is there any way we can do this in standard SAP?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nitish

    Hi
As per your issue ...There are no possibilities to post   in sap with different document types.
If you want you can post cross company code transactions with one document types

  • FB05 - trans to be processed and first line item PK for doc type

    Hi all,
Me quite confused of the entry for the following document type in FB05
    DG - cust credit memo
    DR - cust invoice
    SA- gl acc doc
    SB - gl acc posting
    KG - vdr credit memo
    DZ - customer payment
Need the help to let me know for document type above, what radio button to choose in transaction to be processed and also what posting key use at first line item.
Also if i choose the wrong transaction to be processed radio button, any impact?
    thanks
    rgds

Document type is primarily used to distinguish different various types of transactions. Ultimately, there are only two effects in accouting - debit and credit. Thus, doc type helps distinguish btw various types of accounting entries. It also controls certain field status while document posting and also drives the number range for the accounting document.
Posting keys determine whether a transaction will be a credit or a debit. They also have an influence over the field status of the document entry screen. Posting keys are broadly divided into those belonging to
    Customer                             - Acct type C
    Vendors                               - Acct type V
    GL                                       - Acct type G
Fixed Assets                        - Acct type A and
Material Mgmt. transactions   - Acct type M
For each account type there are both debit and credit posting keys. You can clik on F4 on the posting key field and see the various entries. You will understand.
Thus, which posting key to enter depends on the transaction you want to enter.

  • Integration of ECC Scheduling Agreement (Doc Type LP) with SAP TM

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to integrate ECC Scheduling Agreement (Doc Type LP) to create OTR in TM System. I have maintained below settings:
    1. Create and Activate Control Key
    2. Output determination procedure linked to LP has output type TRS0 with requirement 27 assigned.
    3. Output condition record has been created
    4. I have checked Business Functions are also active
I was able to transfer other Document Types like OR; RE; FD (ECC Free of Charge); SDF (ECC Subsequent Delivery - Free of Charge); Consignment Fill up and Consignment Pick up by maintaining these settings, but not able to push Scheduling Agreement LP to TM.
The output TRS0 is not appearing automatically and if I try to insert and execute this output in Scheduling agreement, Output is failing with error message: "Order is not TM-relevant"
Is there any other config or mapping or SAP Note that needs to be applied to achieve this integration? Because I believe standard integration is available for ECC Scheduling agreement (I have read in help.sap.com).
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vikram Bhardwaj

    Hello Vikram,
    You mean this documentation:http://help.sap.com/saphelp_tm81/helpdata/en/9c/787f3c0a771e57e10000000a114084/content.htm?frameset=/en/44/b0488e9c35612be10000000a155369/frameset.htm ?
I think there is talking about the integration for SCM Basis as SOS, not Order Integration.
