Polycom group series 500 Lync issue

Hi,
We are having a Polycom group series 500 device and currently facing the below mentioned issue, if any one has used this device appreciate your response on this matter.
1. we have already activated the Multipoint video conferencing and Lync interoperability protocol on the device. We are able to get only a peer to peer Lync video call, Lync video conference
is not allowed (we cannot add another Lync user to an ongoing Lync call)
2. 
This device can join to a Lync video conference hosted by another user, but video and voice not working (it shows that device has joined the conference but no audio or video)

Jeff Schertz may chime in if he sees this, but if we're talking VVX500 devices I'll add that it's not supported with Lync 2013.  You posted in a Lync 2010 forum, but I wanted to mention this in case you're running Lync 2013.  VVX to VVX video calls
may still work in a 2013 environment, but as soon as that call hits a full Lync client or server (and it will as soon as it's a full conference) you may see trouble.

Lync 2010:
In Lync 2010 environment Point-to-Point video calls between VVX 500/600 IP phone and another VVX 500/600 phone is supported.

Lync Client 2010 are supported.
Video Call transfers and Call forward from Lync Client party to another user with VVX 500/600 or vice-versa are supported.
Video sessions between a registered remote user and a video capable in-premise enterprise user (VVX 500/600 or Lync Client) are supported.
Video call sessions between federated users with endpoints as VVX 500/600 or Lync Client are supported.
Video calls in Lync 2013 environment are
not supported due to lack of support to H.264 or RTV in UCS 5.0.0.

    Thanks Thamara, thats a great shout, I did look at this but didn't think it was relevant as I found this definition of the parameter below - maybe the issue is that the Group Series don't get classified as 'Lync Server 2013 clients' and it treats them

  • Polycom Group 500 Multiple Lync Video calls simultaneously

    So I have a new Group 500 unit all working as expected,  apart from when I try to call multiple Lync 2010 clients at the same time.  First one connects fine,  but subsequent calls just ring out, and the client never gets notified that I am
    calling..  If they start a conference call, and invite the unit in,  all is fine..

    Hi,
    Please check if Polycom Group 500 is properly configured. To do this, go to Diagnostics -> System -> System Status and check for errors or warnings. Make sure all options are green.
    Please also check if Polycom Group 500 update to the latest firmware, it not, update it and then test again.

  • Server 2008 R2 WDS Intel Series 8 USB Issue

    Good Morning.
    I'm having trouble deploying the new Intel Series 8 USB Drivers to our new Dell Latitude 3340 and Latitude 3440 laptops with WDS.
    We're on Server 2008 R2, using WDS.  We're deploying only Windows 7 64bit.
    Everything was working fine with the Intel USB 3.0 Series 7 drivers.  I have a separate driver group created for USB 3.0 drivers, with a filter set to install all drivers in the group.  This seemed to work great, with our Latitude 3330s and 5430s.
    When I add the Intel USB 3.0 Series 8 drivers, for the Latitude 3340 specifically, The drivers deploy correctly, and work fine there.  The problem occurs on the older laptops.  When imaging them, (after the new drivers were added) the 3330s won't
    complete setup; they show a BSOD, and start a reboot loop.
    From doing a little research, it looks like the iusb3hub.sys will load for either USB 3.0 series 7 or 8, but doesn't work with the series 7 chipset.  This seems to cause the BSOD.
    Our workaround has been to remove the USB Series 8 drivers from WDS, and install them manually on the newer laptops, but my supervisor was wanting the problem fixed.
    Has anyone else encountered this issue?  I appreciate any suggestions.

    I use a custom developed imaging system. I use WDS only for its PXE ability. In my process, after the image is deployed an option to install software is given and a list of items is shown. On that list I have a USB3.0 Intel driver that can be selected. In
    some instances, I have it automatically install it based on the hardware. I do use WMI to determine hardware model, so that is definately possible.
    If you use a product like MDT, you can create a task sequence, or a custom deployment profile where you can run custom commands. For example you can make a TS just for a certain model of notebook so that it will install the appropriate drivers. Like how
    you can't really just integrate touchpad drivers into an image because you need the software to go along with it.

  • CX300 Polycom Phone using the Lync Client, not relinquishing computer audio.

    I am lead technician for a university library, and we have just recently upgraded our phones in our building to CX300s and CX600s Polycom VoIP phones.  
    First I would like to say that I have posted this issue on the Polycom Community site and they suggested that I post this in the Microsoft Endpoint forum.  I could not find that section, and since Lync is apart of office now, I posted it here.  
    We have a recurring issue with the CX300 phone with several of our faculty.  The phone is taking control of the audio on the computer and it will not relinquish it.  We tried using speakers, headphones of all platforms,  (USB, 3 1/4 jack,
    etc...), reinstalling the sound driver, looking at the settings in BIOS, but the sound always is comes from the phone.  There were instances where we could get headphones to work, and sometimes a sound bar / traditional desktop speakers, but there is
    one faculty member where everything that we have tried has failed.   All of these users are on Dell Optiplex 760s or higher, and we are using the onboard sound (front and back ports in some cases).  They are all connecting the phones through the
    Lync client.  All of these computers are also running a Windows 7 Service Pack 1 build.  Any insight to this would be much appreciated.

    Do you mean the speaker is the speaker of cx300 and phone is the telephone receiver of cx300?
    There is a speaker button on the cx300 to switch the voice coming out from telephone receiver to speaker.

  • Edit recipients groups returns 500 error

    Hello All
    I started having a strange error today on my Exchange 2013 ECP.  When i go in to edit a group under recipient --> groups and select a group and hit edit, i'm getting a 500 Unexpected error message after about 5 minutes trying to open the page.  I
    get this from the localhost/ecp as well.  So far this is the only page that i get the error on.  I've restated IIS on all the servers tried different computers / browsers but nothing seems to work.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi Chris,
    Does the issue only happen to edit groups? All groups or a specific group? Please check whether you can edit the distribution group by using Set-DistributionGroup cmdlet in EMS.
    Please confirm the problematic group is created in legacy Exchange server or Exchange 2013. If possible, please also collect some event logs for further analysis.

  • X1 Carbon (20AX series) wifi connectivity issues

    Dear Lenovo Support and all others,
    I am posting this in hope that someone can help with my problem and also to share my unpleasant experience with a new Lenovo product.
    Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon
    Model: 20A8A00VSG
    OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
    Purchase date: 27th February 2014
    Since the first day I purchased the system, I have been having an issue with my wireless connection:
    1. I am unable to reliably get a wireless connection to wireless access points (e.g. free wifi coffee outlets or malls) and personal mobile hotspots (mobile phone hotspots). It constantly says "LIMITED CONNECTIVITY". In other words, I cannot get internet access. Even when it does connect to the network and get internet access, there is a tendency for the connection to drop back to "LIMITED CONNECTIVITY".
    The only time I can get a reliable connection is when I am connected to my home wireless router. The system does not seem to have problems on home wifi networks. Since the problem seems limited to wireless access points and hotspots, I believe its a hardware/software problem.
    Please note that I have other  wireless devices (laptops and mobile phones) that can connect to the same networks that I am trying to connect to and have no issues.
    I have tested the networks with my friends' wireless devices as well and they have no issues accessing the internet so I am fairly certain that there is no issue with the networks themselves.
    2. I have already called in twice and been given advice on both occasions but the problem still persist. I have updated all drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled and updated the BIOS for the system and also performed a system recovery but nothing has worked so far.
    I have also tried disabling and/or deleting any anti-virus software and firewalls but it does not fix the problem.
    I have also been advised that I need to go down to the Lenovo service center to have my laptop checked out by the technicians and that there MIGHT be a firmware upgrade for the wireless card itself.
    NOTE: MIGHT? The support staff doesn't even know for sure whether there is an upgrade available.
    3. Rebooting my computer, the wireless card or the hotspots does not solve the problem. It might work for a shortwhile before it reverts back to it's non working state or stops working again once I reboot the system.
    I am really unhappy with the purchase so far. It's actually a good laptop per se when all is working, but without internet access, it is pretty much like a dead fish. And thats 90% of the time.
    Like I said, this problem has been happening since day one and I've tolerated it long enough.
    I hope someone can help me with this problem.

    UPDATE - 3/24/2014
    I borrowed an ASUS Wireless USB adapter from a friend and installed it on the laptop. Lo and behold there are no connectivity issues to my iPhone wireless hotspot.
    INTEL DUAL BAND WIRELESS AC 7260 - NO CONNECTION/LIMITED ACCESS
    ASUS USB N10 WIRELESS ADAPTOR - CONNECTIVITY AND INTERNET ACCESS
    I think this narrows it down to the software/hardware in the computer....

    there is an issue bugged driver or even card firmware related. Intel confirmed that. Wait some time for the new release.
    For the test purpose only disable 2,4 ghz band support and switch to 5 ghz. N-band seems unstable so switch to G-band. As the Linux users report the same issue it's firmware bug basically.

    On Lync Server side, what you can do is to change the AD attribute msRTCSIP-GroupingID. You can set different value for different groups. Then each group will not able to search the users in other groups with user name. However, they can still search the
    users in other groups with the sip address.

              I am trying to create a bridge between Weblogic 8.1 App Server and IBM MQ Series 5.2 and i am facing issues.
              Bridge works fine if i use QualityOfService="Atmost-once" and i am getting following error when i use
              QualityOfService="Duplicate-okay".

    It is weird that nothing shows up in the log after you turned on the debug.
              Actually I knew somebody has run into the same problem once.
              The problem disappeared after he did something on the MQSeries side (like
              restart the system and something else). I did not know exactly what he did.
              I am not sure if that will help you but worth trying.
              If that does work either, I'd suggest that you contact the BEA Customer Support
              and somebody will look at it for you in depth.

    Hello everyone, quick message to highlight that the issue described above persists even when upgrading to the latest version of Nokia Belle for Nokia E6.
    I see that's almost 1 year that this issue was reported.
    We would all be particularly grateful to get a feedback from Nokia as using Lync would definitely be a plus, placing the E6 on the same (competitive) level of any Samsung Galaxy mobile (which are not reported to face this issue).

  • Excise Group and Excise Register issue

    We have internal order budgeting for consumables.whenever we make purchase order , the account assignment category is F and we purcahse against the particular internal order.when G/R is done the consumable material gets cosnumed against the particular interla order. ie goods receipt and the issue against the internal order with same movement type.
    IF the material is exciseable then excise part 1 register shows receipt and removed quantity .please suggest how to avoid the removal entry in part 1 register. only receipt has to be updated in the part 1 not the removal ie goods issue.
    and
    at the same time we have std. purchasing also. we maintian one excise group for plant
    and excise group i maintain consumption check box. 
    at the time of register system shows only one type of procurment data . how to handle this senario.
    go for other excise group need to be maintained or else one excise group is sufficeent

    i am not understood "3" their is no option in selection "3" at excise group part1 posting trigger(consumption) only.
    here business line are different
    senario 1: i am purchasing material for internal order (while i made GR , auto GI).
    theirs is sales order or MRP direct create PO manual. (here excise group removed for consumption).
    senario 2: i am purchasing material for stock (std.) (while i made GR stock goes to MMBE, after i goods issue to certain reservation based).
    for std process i maintain excise group (consumption check box maintained).
    in RG23a or RG23C both part1 and part2 will need to be updated.
    so how can i map single excise group for two senarios.

  • Group Header/Footer Sum Issue

    Hey all,
    I have an issue which I thought I had covered, but I need a more solid solution.
    SO, I am making a query to do with AR Invoices by the row level, but I want to be able to sum at the header level to use the PaidToDate field so I know how much is left to pay on the document.
    So it is just DocTotal - PaidToDate.
    Problem is, I need to be able to see the items from the document.  So I have it right down to the row level using INV1.
    So now when I group by the DocNum field everything looks fine, but when I go to see what is left I calculate using DocTotal - PaidToDate.
    Problem is, because I'm at the row level it gives me the owing amount for each line like below.
    DocNum    CardName  DocTotal   PaidToDate   LineNum     Qty    Price   Description   
    1234          SAP             $100          $50                0              3       $25      Stick
    1234          SAP             $100          $50                1              1       $25      Puck
    So in this example you can see that SAP has an invoice # 1234 for $100 and they have paid $50 but because of the way it is organized the $50 is paid only on the OINV header level, but is linked to the rows, so it will SUM to $100 paid when it's only $50 paid on the document.
    This isn't such a huge issue because I did an IF statement: IF {INV1.LineNum} = 0 THEN ({OINV.DocTotal} - {OINV.PaidToDate}) ELSE 0.
    BUT, in this case it is a bit more complicated because I am using Enprise and I am pulling lines by project so the lines pulled from an invoice might be taken from the middle of a document.  I would be fine if the first line was always LineNum = 0, but some of the times it is not.
    Is there a better programmatic way to handle this?  Rather than a clunky IF statement?

    Thanks for your comments. You've raised several valid points, which I'll address below.<br /><br />
    In the past 18 months, Enprise Job Costing has undergone fairly significant improvement and feature enhancement. It's fair to say that forward development and product improvement is where we've placed greatest resource emphasis. We're continuing to improve the product set and plan to introduce significant new features over the next 9 - 12 months. If you'd like to see a copy of our planned development road map, I'll be happy to share that with you.<br /><br />
    The documentation for Enprise Job Costing, while currently somewhat out of date, is currently being rewritten. We will be releasing new chapters for the documentation as they become complete and expect to have the entire documentation suite completed within the next 2-3 months. <br /><br />
    In the short term, your SAP implementation partner will be able to provide access to each new chapter as it becomes available, as we'll post them to our partner support website. <br /><br />
    Longer term, we will be opening portions of our support site up for end user access, so that people with technical skill, like yourself, can self-help to a degree. We already have a plan to introduce a community/forum where interested people can ask questions and share ideas. Such a forum existed a few years back, through SAP's P2P network, but we found that it wasn't well utilised and I don't believe it is a current feature of the revised network.<br /><br />
    Our new forum will be delivered through a new iteration of our partner support website. We've designed the new site map for this tool, which includes such new functionality. Actual development will begin shortly. We will also be introducing a customer (end-user) focused newsletter to supplement the one we distribute through the partner community. The customer focused version will have more in the way of 'tips n tricks' type content and will likely be very product/road map focused.<br /><br />
    In the meantime, I encourage you to follow our various social media activities. We provide regular product update snippets through our LinkedIn profiles, through our Twitter accounts and through our Facebook page. In fact, I'd love it if you would begin using our Facebook page as a precursor to a customer oriented forum and encourage any and all communication.<br /><br />
