I am developing a webdynpro application.am creating pop-up window for that when am trying to declare a attribute called WD_COMP_Controller  type ig_componentcontroller  for a view, It s throwing an error like "Field Wd_comp_controller is unknown". its neither in one of the specified tables nor defined by a data statement."
In this line *lo_api_component  = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( )*. am getting  syntax error
data lo_window_manager type ref to if_wd_window_manager.
data lo_api_component  type ref to if_wd_component.
data lo_window         type ref to if_wd_window.
lo_api_component  = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
lo_window_manager = lo_api_component->get_window_manager( ).
lo_window         = lo_window_manager->create_window(
                   window_name            = 'MAIN'

please help me out.
Thanks and Regards.

Hi,
wd_comp_controller will be default and check in your view with properties tab
Try The following code.for popup
data lo_window_manager type ref to if_wd_window_manager.
data lo_api_component  type ref to if_wd_component.
data lo_window         type ref to if_wd_window.
lo_api_component  = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
lo_window_manager = lo_api_component->get_window_manager( ).
lo_window         = lo_window_manager->create_window(
                   window_name            = 'xxxx'    "-->window name
                 title                  =
                 close_in_any_case      = abap_true
                   message_display_mode   = if_wd_window=>co_msg_display_mode_selected
                 close_button           = abap_true
                   button_kind            = if_wd_window=>co_buttons_ok
                   message_type           = if_wd_window=>co_msg_type_none
                   default_button         = if_wd_window=>co_button_ok

    Am i missing something?
    Data in referred tables (infocubes) isn't really important.
    Is there a safe way to proceed?
    Thanks in advance.

    And this is the strange point: my source system is not a BI and my dataclasses .SQL files are not empty.
    Me too i would expect that the files should be empty but instead they are full of object definitions.
    For example i have APPL0.SQL that contains a list of all tables of ECC system, for example
    tab: MAMT
    sql:     CREATE TABLE "MAMT"
            ("MANDT" SAPDB6VARCHAR(000003)
            DEFAULT '000' NOT NULL,
            "MATNR" SAPDB6VARCHAR(000018)
            DEFAULT ' ' NOT NULL,
            "SPRAS" SAPDB6VARCHAR(000001)
            DEFAULT ' ' NOT NULL,
            "MEINH" SAPDB6VARCHAR(000003)
            DEFAULT ' ' NOT NULL,
            "MTXID" SAPDB6VARCHAR(000002)
            DEFAULT ' ' NOT NULL,
            "LFDNR" SAPDB6VARCHAR(000002)
            DEFAULT '00' NOT NULL,
            "MAKTM" SAPDB6VARCHAR(000040)
            DEFAULT ' ' NOT NULL)
            IN "&location&"
            INDEX IN "&locationI&"
            LONG  IN "&locationL&"
          COMPRESS YES;
          ALTER TABLE "MAMT" LOCKSIZE ROW;
    and like this for all others tables.
    What would occur if i launch an import with such .SQL files?
    (shuld i put this question to another thread or is fine for you to answer on this?)
    Thank you again.

  • Syntax error  while executing Key Figure routine

    Hello,
    I am posting my question again, as I have not got any solution. Please help it will be really appreciated. Here's the description
    I am loading data from flatfile to an Infocube with 3 keyfigures: Sales Price , Sales Quantity, Sales Revune. Getting values for Sales Price and Salea Quantity  from flatfile and calculating for Sales Revunue IO_VB_REV using routine
    - I created Transformations, and under Rule Group: Standard Group box I have not mapped IO_VB_REV  any datasource field and see 'X' sign against the field.
    - In rules detail screen, I add two source fields of Rule , IO_VB_QU and IO_VB_PRC. I see IO_VB_REV already added under 'Target fields of Rule' section
    - I then add the only following line to routine
    RESULT = SOURCE_FIELDS_RULE-/BIC/IO_VB_QU * SOURCE_FIELDS_RULE-/BIC/IO_VB_PRC .
    - Clicking on check button it gives no syntax error message. I save and exit back to Rule Details page.
    - For IO_VB_REV field If I select any of 2 options i.e. Fixed Unit or No conversion it gives me a dump. So I select 'from conversion' option. In that case I enter USD against 'Conversion Type' field. It gives me information box popup with 'Incorrect Input Message'
    - When check button hit on 'Rule Details' page, it gives me error message ' Syntax error in routine '
    Why is it giving me syntax error, inspite of the fact that I get 'no syntax error' message on routine page. Also why am I getting short dumps on changing Conversion Type

    Hi Olivier,
    I really thank you for ur efforts in helping me solving this problem. Below is complete description of KF defined,
    1. Created InfoObjects for Sales Quantity, Sales Price, Sales Revunue
    Definition of <b>Sales Quantity</b>
    Name: IO_VB_QU
    Type/Data Type : Quantity
    Data Type: QUAN - Quantity field, points to unit field with format UN
    Currency / unit of measure
    Unit / Currency: 0UNIT
    Definition of <b>Sales Price</b>
    Name: IO_VB_PRC
    Type/Data Type : Amount
    Data Type: CURR - Currency field, stored as DEC
    Currency / unit of measure
    Fixed Currency: USD
    Definition of <b>Sales Revunue</b>
    Name: IO_VB_REV
    Type/Data Type : Amount
    Data Type: CURR - Currency field, stored as DEC
    Currency / unit of measure
    Fixed Currency: USD
    2. As the data is being read from flatfile, created DataSource with fields for Sales ID, Sales Price, Sales Quantity. As I am reading unit for quantity from file (has values EA,BOX,CSE), I have a corresponding field UNIT in DataSource. No field for Sales Revunue.
    3. I use 'Create Transformation' functionality to automatically create transformations.
    4. Rule Details page of each of 3 KFs has following values
    <b>Rule Details page of Sales Quantity</b>
    Rule Type: Direct Assignment
    Aggregation : Summation
    Target Unit: 0UNIT
    Unit: from Source
    Source Unit: UNIT
    Source Fields of Rule: /BIC/IO_VB_QU, UNIT
    Target Fields of Rule: 0UNIT, IO_VB_QU
    <b>Rule Details page of Sales Price</b>
    Rule Type: Direct Assignment
    Aggregation : Maximum
    Fixed Target Currency : USD
    Currency: No Conversion
    Source Fields of Rule: /BIC/IO_VB_PRC
    Target Fields of Rule:  IO_VB_PRC
    <b>Rule Details page of Sales Revunue</b>
    Rule Type: Routine
    Aggregation : Summation
    Fixed Target Currency : USD
    Currency: from Conversion
    Conversion Type: ??????.....(I entered USD it gives me Incorrect Input message)
    Source Fields of Rule: /BIC/IO_VB_PRC, /BIC/IO_VB_QU, UNIT
    Target Fields of Rule:  IO_VB_REV
    I have this line is the routine
    RESULT = SOURCE_FIELDS_RULE-/BIC/IO_VB_QU *   SOURCE_FIELDS_RULE-/BIC/IO_VB_PRC.
    Let me know if u need any other info......
    I really appreciate u trying  to help me

  • At the time of RFQ creation dump error

    Dear All,
                        At the time of RFQ creation one Dump error is coiming... please advise to solve this issue...
    the error message is :
    Runtime errors         SYNTAX_ERROR
           Occurred on     09.09.2009 at   12:10:27
    Syntax error in program "SAPLV61A ".
    What happened?
    The following syntax error occurred in the program SAPLV61A :
    "Incorrect logical expression: Instead of "X" a field, a function or "("
    Error in ABAP application program.
    The current ABAP program "SAPLMEVA" had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
    This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    What can you do?
    Please eliminate the error by performing a syntax check
    (or an extended program check) on the program "SAPLV61A ".
    You can also perform the syntax check from the ABAP/4 Editor.
    If the problem persists, proceed as follows:
    Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
    and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
    To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
    You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
    termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
    Error analysis
    The following syntax error was found in the program SAPLV61A :
    "Incorrect logical expression: Instead of "X" a field, a function or "("
    How to correct the error
    Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
    If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
    following documents to SAP:
    1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
       To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
    2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
       To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
       and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
       part.
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
       supply the source code.
       To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
       print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
       or which actions and input led to the error.

  • Syntax Error while running step 34 (35) after unicode conversion

    Hello,
    We are converting our test system to Unicode to find out how to do it
    in our production system. We are at step 34/35 (Starting RFC job's) in
    the database installation so we are almost done but we have encounted a
    problem that we can't find a solution to. The error log in Sapinst give this
    information:
    ERROR      2008-11-09 11:19:19 [iaxxrfcimp.cpp:1103]           CAbRfcImpl::performFunctionCall FRF-00025  Unable to call function.
    Error message: ?`>?/?????????>??????/_???&<?(????????????????????????????????????????????????? .
    At the same time we can read the following text in dev_w1 (and dev_w0 and so on):
    A  *** ERROR => Syntax error in program SAPLBTCH                                 [abgen.c      1388]
    A  *** ERROR => > Include LBTCHF39                                 line 173 [abgen.c      1390]
    A  *** ERROR => > Statement "âu2018âu2018âu2018âu2018âu2018IF" is not defined. Check your spelling. spelling. [abgen.c      1393]
    The error don't always look the same, here is another example:
    A  *** ERROR => Syntax error in program SAPLSALC                                 [abgen.c      1388]
    A  *** ERROR => > Include LSALCU54                                 line 55 [abgen.c      1390]
    A  *** ERROR => > No component exists with the name "MTSYSIDâu2018MTMCNAMEâu2018MTNUMRANGEâu2018MTUIDâu2018". "MTSYSID [abgen.c      1393]
    A  *** ERROR => > âu2018MTMCNAMEâu2018MTNUMRANGEâu2018MTUIDâu2018". [abgen.c 1395]
    The common thing is Syntax error. If we try to log in to the system using SAP Gui we get this message: "Syntax error in program SAPMS380".
    In the file dev_disp we can read a lot of these:
    Tue Nov 11 14:06:32 2008
    *** WARNING => DpRqServiceQueue: timeout of HIGH PRIO msg, return DP_CANT_HANDLE_REQ
    But we should have enough WP since noone has loggen on to the system.
    Facts:
    Tue Nov 11 14:06:07 2008

    Here's from one of those 10s of books.
    Quoted from JDBC 3.0 by Bernard Van Haecke:
    Stored procedures can return multiple result types because they can be composed of SQL statements that return diverse result types: resultsets and update counts (this includes special error codes).
    Now this doesn't sound very satisfactory. So I use Sybase since I don't have any other database at the moment, and write a simple stored procedure.
    CREATE proc testproc AS
    BEGIN
    -- My return code
    return 7
    END
    goThen a sample patchy buggy code to play around:
    import java.sql.*;
    public class ProcTesting {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            String connUrl          = "jdbc:sybase:Tds:myserver:5150/dbinst";
            String userName         = "username";
            String password         = "password";
            Connection con          = null;
            CallableStatement stmt  = null;
            ResultSet rs            = null;
            String sql = "{? = call testproc}";
            try {
                Class.forName("com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver").newInstance();
                con     = DriverManager.getConnection(connUrl, userName, password);
                stmt    = con.prepareCall(sql);
                stmt.registerOutParameter(1, Types.INTEGER);
                stmt.execute();
                System.out.println(stmt.getInt(1));
            } catch(Exception e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            } finally {
                closeAll(con, stmt);
        public static void closeAll(Connection con, Statement stmt) {
            try {
                con.close();
            } catch(Exception e) {  }
            try {
                stmt.close();
            } catch(Exception e) {  }
    }Followed by:
    javac ProcTesting.java
    java -cp "%CLASSPATH%;C:\jarutils\jconn2.jar" ProcTesting
    Output:
    7
    Didn't you know this could be done?
    Happy new year, grandpa!

    FND_GLOBAL.SECURITY_GROUP_ID,
    FND_GLOBAL.RESP_NAME,

  • EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (too many repetitions of a segment)

    Hi All -
       We are getting an "EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (too many repetitions of a segment)" error message while processing the REMADV message in the payment run program.
    Basic Type : PEXR2002
    Message Type : REMADV
    Segment Name : E1EDP02
    This issue is due to BELNR length in above segment, since payment run program assigning the 45 chars but BELNR length is 35 char, is there any way or OSS notes we can implement to rectify the same.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Rds,
    K

    Hi,
    This error is the segment definition violation. Open your BASIC IDOC type in WE30, double click on the segment TESTIDOC.
    In the popup you can see properties like mandatory segment, Minimum number and Max number. Your IDOC is crossing the max number of repetitions it can have. If any of the segment definition perperties like this one, or improper position of the segment etc occurs IDOC is generated with syntax error.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • SYNTAX ERROR IN SAPMSSYD PROGRAM

    HI ,
               We included the code in Program 'SAPMSSYD' for our internal
    validation. This validation requires to fetch the data from the ztables.
    we created ZTABLE and included custom code in SAPMSSYD in DEV server
    and tested sucessfully.
    We tried to move the Transport request from DEV to QAS. We had separate
    transport request for Ztable Creation and for our custom code
    validation. Instead of moving the Ztable request first, we have moved
    the customer code request and Due to this System throws an syntax error
    when we get into login screen of QAS server. Now we are not able to
    login to QAS and our testing process was completely stopped in QAS
    server. Pls advice us how to revoke transport or to solve this issue.
    Best Regards
    Thiru

    First, if you change such a kernel-like program, I advise you to request SAP consulting, that's really too much dangerous!
    Secondly, if you want to revert back, you have to do it on the DEV system (version management), then transport again.

    Hello,
    A plsql procedure contains the following statement in the declare section:

    In the plsql editor the part $$ is indicated as having syntax errors, by hovering on it a popup window displays :

    The procedure compiles without any problem. Please adapt the plsql parser to support $$variables.

    The first thing it tells me is that there is a syntax error on line 1.

    The first thing it tells me is that there is a syntax error on line 1.you have a closing parenthesis and a semi-colon after the primary key definition. The means it is trying to parse the foreign key clause a a new statement, hence the syntax error.
    You don't say which tool you are using, but I can't get it to produce that particular error in SQLDeveloper.
    Syntax error at line 1 usually implies something wrong in a PL/SQL block. How are you executing this?

  • "Syntax error loading filters - operation cancelled"

    Hi all,
    Version 9.2.0.2
    I am experiencing an error that has been documented before. When I logged into an application, I get this popup "Syntax error loading filters - operation cancelled" from the Excel add in which won't let me log in. I tried all most of the reccomendations (restarting application/server) with the exception of changing ports.
    My application doesn't have filters. I think it might be something to do with an unable ip address or something. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Is the IP address of the server configured as static or dynamic? I used to get this error all the time on my laptop when I returned from 'suspend' mode. If I put in a static IP address, the problem would go away.
