Port forwarding but can only connect to wifi in Bridge Mode
Hi
Our ISP is TalkTalk and we use their Fibre service which connects through a BT Open Reach Modem. The TalkTalk router seemed to causing drop outs in wifi on my macbook pro so I bought an Airport Time Capsule for the wifi router and to back up my mac.
We aren't issued with PPPoE details and the advice from the TalkTalk community was to connect with the Router in Bridge Mode. This has worked a treat with the various Apple and non Apple items we have in out house except one.
We have security cameras which we control through a Windows laptop and can view one out phones. To make this happen we have to set up port forwarding. However, we can't do this as it's in Bridge Mode (as far as I understand).
I'm afraid my knowledge of these things is very basic so I'm hoping that someone will have an easy answer to this. Anyone got any advice on how I can make this pretty white box do its stuff please?

What type of encryption are you using with your wireless network -WEP or WPA?
If your wireless router supports both which it should unless it is quite old and you are using WEP, try switching to WPA which is much more secure than WEP which is important if you have a Windows PC or any Windows based device connected to your network.
In addition, when was the last time you checked Netgear's website to see if there is a firmware update available for your wireless router model that you haven't installed? -
At home I have a HP PC, netbook and Sony laptop with no connection issues. Last year I bought an iPad 1 for my wife. This year I bought an iPad 2 for myself. However, only one iPad can connect to the wifi home network at a time. If I am using the iPad2 then the iPad1 fails to connect to the internet. if the iPad1 is being used then the iPad2 cannot connect. I tried resetting iPad network settings for both, reset router, and updated both iPads to latest software/firmware yesterday. Right now the only iPad that shows any connection is the iPad1. The iPad2 does not see the home network or any other outside network. Any suggestions or ideas on how to resolve this? It is odd the network issues only affect the iPad's.

It sounds like you need to either increase the number of dynamic IP addresses your router will hand out or change some of your devices to static IP addresses.
Check the router manual on how to change the dynamic IP range of your router. If you don't have a manual, you can go to Belkin's website and download it.
To change the IP address of your iPads to static addresses, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap the ">" next to the name of your wireless network. DHCP should be highlighted. Write down the all the settings on the screen. Next tap the Static button. Enter the exact same information that you copied from the DHCP screen with the exception of the last 3 digits of the IP address. Enter a new 3 digit number in this spot. Generally the original IP address will end with a low number such as 009, so pick a number that is not that low but less than 255. I would suggest a range of 240 to 250, unless the original IP range falls near this range. Also make sure you use a different 3 digits for each device you set to use a static IP address. -
In device manager it shows an error code 32' using iPhone 5 related to Apple Tv I believe is when this started, I am thinking I can DL the file and install

Also I use my LTE to tether (paid) to my LapTop as well, The issue I am having, I cannot get the USB to work as a network connection. However using the WiFi method works fine but I rather use the sync cable at times such as when I am charging the phone and/or wishing to not trainsmit my ssid for others to see even though I do use a password.
Last question about using the built in WyFi tether connection, Is it posable to remove or ake the annoying blue indicater bar at the top disappear? I have had my iPhone since February and I have only ever been able to connect to the internet when there is a wireless network present. I don't think it is a problem with the O2 coverage as they are normally pretty good. Whatever I do I cannot get the internet to work with out the WiFi present.
Any ideas on how to fix this?What is your APN set to ?
If you go to :
Settings -> General -> Network -> Cellular Data Network...
It lists the login settings for Cellular Internet (non-WiFi), as well as MMS (picture text messages).
If you're with O2 in the UK, you should have the APN of :
payandgo.o2.co.uk (it might be idata.o2.co.uk at the moment - which needs to be changed)

Can't connect to wifi in airplane mode
Hey all, I am abroad, so have airplane mode on, and am trying to use wifi. Under settings, my Iphone seems connected to the right network. When I open Safari & put in username & pwd, Safari just freezes. I tried Debug Console & got two errors:

I can't reset the router or wifi as I'm at a hotel, but I have no trouble connecting to the same wifi network with my laptop, using Internet Explorer as a browser. Can anyone kindly help?P.S. I did that a few times, also tried turning off wifi and turning it back on and trying again, also rebooted, and then tried the debug console. Then, unable to figure out those error messages, I posted

I have a RD farm using 3 Win 2012 servers (1 broker and 2 session host), for internal use only, have not
configured gateway for internet access.
Users are able to connect to RD farm website and remote into terminal server, within office
but can only connect to RD farm website and cannot remote into terminal server , when connected via VPN
Its takes long time at securing connection and fails.

Thank you for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
First of all I would suggest you to configure RD gateway role on your server and pass all the connection through it because it’s a best practice to use RD Gateway in RDS Farm.
Apart from this, if you are not using RD Gateway then you must check that you have successfully forwarded port 3389 for RDS to access via VPN. Also check that you have made configuration under IIS Manager to enable Forms Authentication. Please check

Devices can only connect to airport exp b4 Macbook
I hope someone can help:
I have a Macbook and Windows XP machine both successfully connected to my Airport Express Wi-fi network. But I also have a Nokia mobile phone (Symbian OS) and Dell Axim PDA (Windows Mobile) which I would like to connect. These devices can connect to every other network I have tried but can only connect to the Airport Express network if I connect them before the Macbook is connected (they remain connected if I then connect the Macbook too). If I try to connect them after the Macbook has connected, they don't even see the network! The Windows XP machine is unaffected by any of this.
Any help much appreciated!
KeithIn case anyone else has this issue, I think I worked it out:
The Airport Express WLAN port was set to "automatic" but changing it to "1" allows the mobile devices to access the network even after the macbook. Dunno what the macbook was up to though.... -

Try changing the channel in use in case you're getting interference.
If you have WEP enabled on the Internet Sharing it'ss worth disabling it whilst troubleshooting the connectivity issues.

First, you don't have a 5+ year old 3GS. The 3GS has only been around for under 4 years. In fact, 5 years ago there were NO iPhones; the original iPhone (2 generations before the 3GS) came out on June 29, 2007 - not quite 5 years ago. The 3GS was released June 19, 2009.
That aside, you can sync multiple phones to one computer - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495. boogeyman is wrong. To save battery, I leave my wifi off when the TP's screen is locked. At home, my TP has no problem reconnecting to wifi after the screen is unlocked. However, at work, which uses enterprise wifi, I can only connect the first time. If I lock the screen and then unlock it (causing the wifi to turn off and on again) then the TP will not reconnect and I would get the "Association failed" error over and over again. If I were to turn the TP off and on again, I would still get the same error. Here's the strange part, if I come in work the next day, it would be able to connect to the wifi. If I were to leave the wifi on all the time, it would not disconnect even if I lock the screen. Now if I were to turn off the wifi and then turn it on again, the TP would not reconnect. So it seems like the TP can only connect the first time each day....very strange...and frustrating.

Yet after much proding and denial you finally provide small portions of error messages which fully identify the problem and can be found in many other posts in these forums. Yet still, you haven't actually provided full output - instead you paraphrased the output after a couple of "//" symbols.
If you don't give us the actual output we can't help - except in this case the error is so common we could very easily help. So could the wiki page on wpa_supplicant if you had read it, as your problem is explictly listed there in a "NOTE" box. But more importantly if you are reluctant to give us actual output we will not want to help you.
This issue would have been solved instantly if you would have provided the actual output instead of lying about it.

I have a new ipad and everything works but can't connect to the app store. Itunes works and the wifi seems to be working but i get a blank white screen when i open the appstore. Nothing will load unter the features or charts tab so i cant download any apps. Purchased and updates tab loads fine. Any suggestions?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

At first, I would click on the iTunes shortcut on my desktop and this window would pop up saying "Please wait while Windows configures iTunes". It would attempt to do so, but would encounter some error and I'd have to cancel. I deleted the shortcut f
