Posting on Trading date - IFRS requirement

In standard SAP, the start date of a Treasury transaction (Money Market or Securities) will be the settlement date.
But as per the new IFRS requirement, the client wants to book the Investment on the trade date.
For example if we Purchase US Treasury Bonds today and the settlement is tomorrow -T+1. The client wants to book the following accounting entry:
Today
Debit Investment (and increase the Position of the Security)
Credit Accounts payable - Investment
Tomorrow
Debit Accounts Payable - Investment
Credit Bank Clearing.
How can we achieve this in SAP Treasury module without making any custom changes?
The above applies to all the trades done on a daily basis.
Please advise.
Kalyan

Hi ,
Based on the requirement mentioned the same can be achieved by  for purchase flow type map the accouting entry as
Dr  Investment account
                                         Cr Payable such as investment
and for settlement on next date you can enetr the same in other flows where you can another flow type to achive the same by adding the accouting entry
Dr Payable such as  investment
                                       Cr Bank wire out acct
using other flows in money markety and security transaction the requirement can be achieved .

  • Customer Data Hub Required for EBS 11i?

Is the Customer Data Hub required for EBS 11i to work correctly? It appears to be a supplemental product and not a required core product.

Oracle Customer Data Hub (CDH) is not a mandate for EBS users. However, it solely depends on the Organizational needs. If an Organization decides to have SSOT (Single Source Of Truth) for it's customer data they can go with CDH solution.
CDH is a complete packaged solution that allows companies to create a single, enterprise view of their customer base, by consolidating/synchronizing customer data from heterogeneous systems into a central, operational, data store. CDH alone will not suffice the requirement. CDH ties with Oracle Customers Online (OCO), Customer Data Librarian (CDL), and the Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA) to create a robust, scalable, central repository of duplicate-free, enriched data across a heterogeneous landscape.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to implement IFRS requirement?

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    Good day.
May I seek your help and opinion regarding IFRS requirement please.
How do we setup create billing based on actual Good Receive by Customer?
    Background :
Current setting in SAP, Billing date is EQUAL to PGI Date. It means that our sales recognition is based on Good Issue from our warehouse.
But base on local requirement and IFRS, we have to record our sales (sales recognition) based on actual good receive by customer.
So with that can you help advise how are we going to set this up in SAP? Please help.
Thank you very much in advance for your kind attention and assistance.

  • Problem posting Vendor Master Data

    Hi,
We are posting Vendor Master data from MDM to ECC. We have serialized ADRMAS and CREMAS so that ADRMAS is always posted first and then CREMAS. ADRMAS is always posted correctly but for some reason the link between ADRMAS and its following CREMAS is not getting established. Because of that CREMAS is failing.
We have explored all possible workarounds but nothing is working. Please note that in ECC, the number ranges are set to external numbers. The number ranges in ECC start with leading zeros. We are sending vendor numbers in the same format with leading zeros. However, I have this gut feeling that these leading zeros are causing the problem but I am not sure.
Another thing is that if we create a vendor in ECC and then send data from MDM to update it, we can successfully do that. It's just the new vendor creation that is causing problem.
Please also note that we are using '005' as message function. I have also tried '009' but it's not working either.
Any suggestion, solution, workaround will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    TS

    Hi Michael,
Yes, that's always the case. The <ADRMASxx>-<E1ADRMAS>-<OBJ_ID> and <CREMASxx>-<E1LFA1M>-<LIFNR> both are mapped to our vendor number.
We are using ECC 6.0. I have tried distributing vendors with and without leading zeros but in either case it didn't work.
Here's the error message that we get while posting CREMAS
    "Fill all required fields SAPMF02K 0111 ADDR1_DATA-DEFLT_COMM"
    Message no. F2282
However, when we check the ADRMAS, we can see a value 'LET' against 'COMM_TYPE' field. It is not empty.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • How to fetch post goods issue date and sales order creation date

    Hi All,
How to find out the difference between SD Sales Order Item Creation Date and final Post goods issue Date. I would like to know how to fetch those dates and what is the relationship between the tables from which i will get the dates.
Please let me know the solution .
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Sales order creation date is when u raise a sales order in favor of the customer using VA01.......using ATP logic system purposes the material availability date....
after saving ur sales order...when u raise the Delivery using VL01n  w.r.t to OR...than u have to perform picking ....In the picking Tab...specify the amount to be picked than press Post Good Issue....means the goods left the company premises ..
You can the fetch the values using tables-  Use T code   SE12  or SE16
    Vbak-----order header
    Vbap-----order item
    Vbek-----order schedule line
    Likp-----Delivery header

  • ChaRM- Is data scrambling required for Implementing ChaRm in SM?

    Hello
Is data scrambling required for the implementation of ChaRM in Solution Manager?  Iu2019ve heard that data scrambling is a requirement for CHaRm and if so is there documentation from SAP with the specifics.  I do not understand why data needs to be scrambled for transport management.
    Thanks!

We are using CHaRM since 2007, and there is no data scrambling for CHaRM itself required. CHaRm is jsut taking control over TMS. It is a process to ensure some quality and to facilitate audit.

  • Confusion about posting, due, doc date

    Hello there,
I am very confused by dates used in SBO documents, could anyone please explain for me?
    For example,
We receive an invoice from supplier, which is dated on 1st Oct. And then we input it into SAP on 5th Oct.
Based on the payment term, say 30 days, we should pay it by the 4th of Nov (1st Oct +30 days).
    So ...
Which is posting date, due date and document date?
As I believe, posting date is 05/10 (as we posted it), due date is 04/11 (when the invoice is due), document date is 01/10 (as the date is on the document).   Is that wrong?
    If I am right, then
why is that most of reports don't show "document date" but only posting date and due date, such as BP balance, bank reconciliation.
Another example is Cash discount defination, it uses "Days After Posting Date" to calculate discount ...
Hopefully, I am not wrong ...

    Hi Y,
here are some perinent excerpts from the EES:
    Posting Date:
Date that determines in which u2018Posting Periodu2019 a document or journal entry is added to the database.
    Due Date:
Date that determines when the transaction documented becomes financially significant.
    Document Date:
Date that indicates when the shipment of goods takes place.
    Example:
    Our company sells fruit.
1.) We receive an order & take an apple out of our warehouse to ship to our customer. This date is the  u2018Document Dateu2019.
2.) Our customer receives the apple & now accepts liability for the payment. This is the u2018Posting Dateu2019.
3.) We send the customer an invoice where we specify the date when payment for the apple is expected. This is the u2018Due Dateu2019.
I would recommend you speak with the partner, all this info is freely available to all partners.

  • Basic Start/Finish Date and Requirment Date in Maintenance Order

    Sir,
We want to know the link between Order Start/finish date and requirement date in Maintenance Order.
As we are facing problem during change in dates.
When we change either start date or finish date in the order, the system automatically change the requirment date as of ondate of all the materials which has been earlier issued and also consider the today date.
    Like in Maintenance Order
    Basic Start Date - 01.04.2009
    Basic End Date  - 31.05.2009
We have issued materials on the order at different date by putting offset value for the requirement date.
Now if we increase the Basic End Date of order to n30.062.009 or whatelse, the system automatically changes the requirement dates of all the materials issue based on current date. Suppose we changed the Basic End date on 10.11.2009, the system changes all the requirement dates by calulating offset value from 10.11.2009. However these materials has been issued earlier.
I want to know if there is any remedy to stop to change the requirement dates automatically.
    With Regards
    Mudit Gupta

    HI
In general the requirement date will get changed only when the IMG settings in OPU7 permits the requirments dates should be adjusted towards the order basic start and end dates
kinldy check and adjust as per the requirement

  • Recuring posting problem with dates

    Dear experts
I would like to ask you how to deal with strange problem within recuring posting document
For recusring document I have set up for Run date 15, but when document was posted due to date was 5th not 15th. 5th is the same as posting date.
can you tell me what can causing this?
    thanks a lot
    KR
    Peter

    Hi,
The question is a bit unclear whether the recurring posting was created on 5th or 15th or you want that the date of the recurring posting could be changed.
You can refer to Note No. : 1114120 and check whether this is what you are looking for.

  • Posting / Due / Document date trouble

    Hi there,
i have a little bit trouble with the dates. I already read a sheet about dates in SAP, but there are some misunderstandings. Here is the scenario, in which i have problems :
    I book a incoming payment ( Posting date : 15.11.2008 | due date : 02.11.2008 | document date : 15.11.2008)
You find the payment in the general ledger with the correct dates. Now i find out, that i made some mistakes and i have to cancel the incoming payment. I cancel the incoming payment and i find a wrong due date in the in the general ledger (not 02.11.2008 -> 15.11.2008). Cause of booking date and cancel date is the same time, the systems do not ask for the date.
I do not understand the correct meaning of posting, due and document for incoming and outgoing payments.
I book the incoming payments by means of the bank statements. In my opinion the posting date is the time i book the incoming payment, the valuta date is the due date and the document date is the bank statement date. But i think i am wrong with my opinion, cause of my experience with the cancellation.
Pleas give me an advise, the general ledger is going wrong.
    Thanks and regards

    Hi Gordon,
    hi community,
as your mentioned i was trying your last comment :
Depending on the date you receive the payment, you could use this date for all Posting / Due / Document date. Just keep the consistency for your date. Which ever you like, do not confuse yourself.
I changed the posting / document date of incoming payments to the date of receiving the payment. E.g.
Invoice date is 22.12.2008, Incoming Payment 13.01.2009, and today i got the bank statement and book it into SAP.
If i do so posting date = incoming payment date, the system warns "There is a document of this type with a later posting date". I was already searching the forum about this message and i am not sure if it is ok to ignore this message.
    Thanks Steffen

  • Date of required availability of a purchasing order

    Hi,
Is there a way to get the date of required availability for a list of purchasing orders (PO)?
What I'd like to do is extract the list of all open POs with the date they are required for production to see if they are late or not.  I'm not talking about the PO delivery date that was agreed with the supplier. I'm talking about the date the material in the PO is required in order not to delay the production.
I know that I can see the date of required availability of a material in MD04 but it's only one material at a time and not really good to do reporting.
    Thanks

    Xirpinu,
Unless you are using MTO for both the parent and the component, the only way to determine the requirements date for a given Purchase order would be through a calculation, which you would have to develop.
Rather than try to create this calculation, and then commit it to a report, why not use the tool that was intended to manage this issue - MD06.
If you execute MD06, and select exception group 7, you can find all exception messages for a material that would require you to pullin (msg 10), pushout (msg 15), or delete a purchase order (msg 20).  For your purchased parts, this would be the ones in which the requirements date/qty is inconsistent with the Purchase order delivery date/qty.  If it became necessary to determine the requirements date, MD06 supports branching directly to MD05, where you can apply whatever logic you wish to determine the requirements date.
    Best Regards,
