POWL: Button and popups

Hi experts,
I have a requirement where I must create a new button in a powl, no problem here, and when I press this button, I have to generate a warning popup which has yes/no buttons.
I have created the button and I have generated the popup, but It is impossible to me customize popup's header, buttons and functionality of them.
Should I create an enhancement in standard comp POWL_TABLE_COMP?
I am a bit lost with this.

In Employee Self Service tab we have POWL table view where list of Shopping Cart number are available,right?
In this screen we have "Shop"/"Display"/"Edit"/"Print Preview" buttons.
My issue is when i click on "Display" or "Edit" button it's opening the Portal Home Page, i.e. the First page we are getting after login to Portal.
In the Manager tab we are also getting the same issue..when we are clicking on any of Work items it is redirecting to Home Page..also "Resubmit" and "Forward Button" is a doing the same thing...
hope you'll be now able to understand the issue....
Experts please help...badly stuck in this issue..

Buttons and popup menus

Hi,
I created some rollover button symbols. I'm trying to add a second behavior to the slice containing the button (a popup menu). Is this not possible? I've added the behavior, but it doesn't work. Also, I notice the "simple rollover" behavior is locked. I'm guessing that's because it would affect all the buttons (?).
I'm assuming I have to break the symbol apart. Is that right? Or is there some way to add the 2nd behavior on top?
I hope that makes sense. Maybe in this case it's easier to just use rectangles and text for each navigation button. I was trying to speed things up with the symbols.

Click on the button to select it. A behavior handle should appear (it looks like a small target). Click on the behavior handle and choose Add pop-up menu.

Buttons and popups

Hi All,
I've done some looking around but not found anything that really does what I want.
What I need is a button on page 0 (to be used by all report pages) which opens up a small popup to gather details (such as email address and from email), and then calls a database procedure, finally returning to the calling page.
So I could be on report page 1200, press button (Send Email) fill in recipient and sender addresses, click GO or whatever and then it calls the procedure and returns to page 1200.
Any ideas?

Have a look at: Popup not INSERTing into table and not refreshing called page ...
Basically, the popup page submits the data and when the page reloads, there is a bit of javascript that is triggered to close the window. Not exactly what you're trying to do, but may give you the basics

Push button and Popup

Hi All,
I have an ALV output. Now i have to put a push button on the application toolbar of this output and when i click on the button have to display a pop up. in that pop up i need to put 4 parameters , 3 check boxes and two push buttons.
Can anybody help me in this regard. It will be helpful to me if anybody have a piece of code for my requirement. or else suggest me how to full fill this requirement.

How to create popup window with radio buttons and a input field

Hi Guys,
Can somebody give some directions to create a stand alone program to create a window popup with 2 radio button and an input field for getting text value. I need to update the text value in a custom table.
I will call this stand alone program from an user exit.
Please give me the guidance how go about it or please give any tutorial you have.

Hi,
There are multiple aspects of your requirements. So let's take them one at a time.
You can achieve it in the report program or you can use a combination of the both along.
You can create a standalone report program using the ABAP Editor (SE38). In the report program you can call the SAP Module pool program by CALL Screen <screen number>. And then in the module pool program you an create a subscreen and can handle the window popup with 2 radio button and an input field for getting the text.
For help - Module Pool programs you can search in ABAP Editor with DEMODYNPRO* and you will ge the entire demo code for all dialog related code.
For Report and other Module pool help you can have a look at the following:

How to handle the "cancel" button and "close" icon of a popup ?

Hi,
I have a popup with "cancel button" and "close icon"(on the top right corner of the popup), I want the same operations to be performed on clicking of any of these two components.
Is there a way to handle such situation ?
I read about 2 cases to look into this but they didn't work too well for me.
1. I read about the "popcancellistener" but that listener is called whenever the popup closes, so suppose I have an "ok button" on the popup to create a record, after the record is created, the popup closes and goes into the "popcancellistener", now the question is "how do we know if it came there because of the 'ok button' or 'some other event'".
2. I even checked the "DialogListener", now I'm able to distinguish between the 'OK' and 'CANCEL' button in the dialoglistener using the "Dialog.Outcome.ok/cancel", but when a user clicks on the close icon, we do not enter the "DialogListener" at all, so in this case "how do we handle the close icon click event"

POWL buttons dont work

SRM 7.01 and ECC6.0 EhP5
Hi experts,
on srm- POWL application many buttons dont work. Im able to see Purchase orders etc., but when i select a PO, the buttons(e.g.: "edit", "change", "disyplay" ) are clickable, but no action follows. A javascript.void() error is shown in the browser.
I analysed the buttons and found out that they try to call the powl (of course). But the http-request receives an http 403 forbidden response. (wether i call on http or https).

Alle connections between enterprise-portal and srm are set up to https and work (checked). Systemaliases checked.
User has SAP_ALL on involved systems, portal roles, and pfcg roles.
RFC connections to erp are checked and work.

You have to check the POWL authorisation for the user
Checking Authorization
Check the required authorizations using the authorization object CA_POWL in the backend system.
In transaction SU03 (Maintain Authorizations and Profiles) double-click the object class AAAB (Cross-Application Authorization Objects) and then select the authorization object CA_POWL (Authorizations for Personal Object Worklist).
The following authorization fields enable you to define complex authorizations in an AND relationship to check whether a user is allowed to perform a certain action:
●     POWL_APPID     Application ID
●     POWL_CAT          Activity
●     POWL_LSEL          Authority state: allowed or disallowed
●     POWL_QUERY     Activity
●     POWL_RA_AL     Authority state: allowed or disallowed
●     POWL_TABLE     Authority state: allowed or disallowed

Is there anywhere where Apple describes the function and use of every field and popup and checkbox in the email setup "panes"???

So you call up an account in email
Account Information is selecgted in the 3-choice menu-bar/button (what is that thing called, anyway? An "inspector"? (frown).
Then check "enable this account"--is selectable
Then Account type: iCloud IMAP or example--this is NOT selectable.
Then "Description field" What's it for, where does it show up, especially if it shows up in other "related" or "integrated" programs?
Alias popup: What's this for? How do you use it. What approaches, strategies, effects might one employ?
Email address is pretty straight forward--but see "user.name" in the "server sub-box/sub-pane" below.
Full Name: What full name? Where does it appear in use? I cannot access it from the pane/panel, so how do I set it, or who/what sets it?
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): OK, here's a popup that isn't congruent with "account type" in the first sub-pane. Or is IMAP only an extroverted function/setting, and (SMTP) is a introverted one (IMAP for outbound, SMTP for inbound)?
Now comes Confusion: Outgoing Mail Server popup menu, which leads you off to a wholenother pane that lets you create new/delete old incoming server names.
There's a Description (what's that for, what does it do? Ditto Server name--I get than's something like smtp.ISP.Com or IMAP.ISP.com). You can set those fields in the + menu Account Information Pane, with its blank text fields. And you can also "double-click to enter" that field in the list itself. Why is that?And then I can select Advanced, and get another batch of checkboxes, fields, and popups.
But I left the Account Information pane before asking, What is this Thread-Lock Stitching Certificate thing? (Or is that Transport Layer Secrecy Sertificate, what? None is displaying now, but if I popup what's beneath it a humongously long "ID" string, which I take to be, what, my Apple ID? A public key/ provate key encryption string/key? How do I use it if I'm trying to keep the National Surveillance Agency from eavesdropping, "in the clear," my every blessed keystroke, "phrase-stroke" (think VoIP), and if I use the thing, can the president just press a button and send a drone to blow me off the planet (and anyone near me at the time--always great fun for friends and family)?
And never mind router and FiOS, etc., modem settings. and the Network settings outside of email....
I guess my bottom line is, the user is presented with a rich smorgasbord of significant choices by all of the panes and panels, etc., on the mac, iMac, iPad-Phone-Watch real soon now, mac pro, macbook pro, etc. But the specific description of the proper use of these description/instruction on their use and function is impoverished. I think manuals used to handle some of these issues. But where are the manuals? Or am I just so overwhelmed by the complexity of what was once a simple user interface that I can't see pointers (in light grey type on lighter grey backgrounds--what the heck is wrong with black type, I'd like to know!) staring me in the phiz. Oh, help.

Difference between Submit Button and Button

Hi,
Please help me understanding the difference bewteen the following cases.
1) Submit Button + ActionType : None
2) Submit Button + Action Type :fire partial action
3) Submit Button + Action Type : Fire Action
4) Button + Action Type : fireAction
5) Button + Action Type : firePartialAction
My Understanding is 1st and 4th Both submits the form.
Also, please let me know, is it a valid scenario where we use the SubmitButton and still gives ActionType. What difference it makes when action type is given with submit button.
I understand that when we use 4th then it submits the form and whereas in case of 5th it doesnt.

Thanks for your replies.
Actually i wanted to understand this in context of the issue we are facing.
We have a text field and a button besides it. We have a TAB OUT even associated with the text field which is captured using firePartialAction event. Also, the button is a SUBMIT BUTTON with a partialFireAction associated with it.
1) When you give % in textfield and tab out a popups come and load the data in a table - WORKS FINE
2) When you dont enter anything in textfiled and clicks on the button, same popups comes and loads data into the table. - WORKS FINE
3) When you give % in Text Field and clicks on the BUTTON, from JDEV, we verified that TAB OUT event gets triggered.Once that event is over, we can see the HOUR GLASS which doesnt go away. --- ISSUE
Resolution Tested : When i just remove ACTIONTYPE from button and do NAVIGATION - 3, issue is resolved.
Also, if i make that button as BUTTON and give FIRE ACTION, issue is resolved.
Now the main concern is the same combination SUBMIT BUTTON and ACTIONTYPE: firePartialAction works fine in 11i and causes issue in R12.
Please let me know your comments.

Page URL and Popup issue

Hi,
I have a page A with a button, clicking on which will forward (forwardImmediate) to Page B. Even in page B there is a button which will take you back (again forwardImmediate) to page A. When I click the button in Page A, it takes me to Page B without any issues but the page URI still points to that of Page A!! Similarly when I click the button in Page B it forwards to Page A, but the URL shown in the page is that of page B (note that I am not sharing the AM between pages, both are having different AMs). Can somebody let me know is this is the expected behaviour when pageContext.forwardImmediate is used? How this can be solved (to show the correct URL)?
Issue with the above is -
In Page A I have one more button which opens a Java Modal Popup window (using openWindow javascript) where user can create some records and clicking on Close in the popup should get closed and refresh the base page (not full page refresh, only a particular VO is refreshed to ensure that newly created record is reflected in base page). This is absolutely working fine when Page A is opened and popup button is clicked. But when I navigate to Page B (by clicking the button), then comeback to Page A from Page B(again using the button available in Page B), then open the popup and click on Close in the popup, it throws the error "Opener is Null or Not an object" OR "Object required" error (I am using JavaScript "window.opener.submitForm('DefaultFormName') and window.close" in the popup for close button event). Can anybody help me with this? Since this is happening only in the particular scenario (page navigation), I assume that the issue should be with URL or something. Please help.

Please use pageContext.sendRedirect() to show the appropriate URLs. Please go through the servlet/JSP topic understand the difference between sendRedirect and forwardURL. But, I doubt if the above would resolve the issue as it seems to be some JS specific error. Please check with the JS code.

Hello All,
I am new to SRM 7.
There is a requirement to add a custom button and on the click of a button I need to pop up some custom fields , and
store it in SRM system.
The webdynpro component is /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_SC_DOFC_D1.
Can you pls tell me the process of adding, popup and transfer of the fields to SRM tables.
Should we adding some fileds in SPRO->Extensions and field control.

I dont have access to SRM system but you can use enhancment concepts to enhance the standard component.

If you want a popup to have options save or exit then
you need to have two event handlers
1) Create two event handlers Ok,close. Under methods tap select eventhandler radio button.
2)In action button you write the following code

Copy the below text into a notepad file and save.

Now when you get a popup and want to debug from the same, drag & drop the saved file on to the popup window and debug starts right after the next user-command.

ADVERTS AND POPUPS

I am new to BTYahoo on Windows 8 and find the adverts and popups etc highly obtrusive and sometimes offensive. Can someone advise me how to remove them please

Disabling FLASH in your web browser will save you some of the distractions of adverts and will also save you substantial amounts of your broadband allowance (as most sites have distracting adverts and even pop-up videos nowadays, very annoying)
in Internet Explorer 7 and 8
go to Tools, Internet Options, a new panel opens. Select Programs, towards the bottom of the page there is a manage ad ons button, click that. Find Shockwave and mark it as disabled.
In Chrome, type plug ins in the address bar
Bookmark it because it makes it very much quicker to re-enable it if you need or want to
Navigate to Adobe Flash Player and check the disable box
Don't have the details for other browsers but I am sure you can find them on google or ask in here.
I reckon I save 10% of my allowance by disabling flash and the little ads aren't half as distracting.
