Premiere Pro cc crashing on file export with Windows 8.1

Windows just crashed three consecutive times when trying to export. My files are all updated and current. I found this was mentioned in a thread as being a Mac only problem. It is not! It's very frustrating to be unable to produce video for export when working for a national publication with deadlines with a product that has been on the market this long and the fact that I pay a month subscription fee for timely updates and fixes. Help Please!

  • Premiere Pro CS3 - Advice on file export size?

I recorded a 2 hour TV documentary onto a DVD-RW, and I ripped it using Any Video Converter. The ripped file is a 720x540 Xvid AVI, and it is 1.6GB. I then edited the programme down to 20 minutes in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. I then exported the 20 minute video to AVI, video compression MC_DVD, and the file is 4GB in size. Obviously it makes no sense that the 2hr video should be 1.6GB and the 20-minute video should be 4GB. Is there a way I can export this video (either using the Export option, or the Adobe Media Encoder, I don't mind which) to a reasonable file size, without losing video quality? Unfortunately the picture quality of the united rip isn't brilliant anyway, so I really don't want to lose any more picture quality, but there has to be a reasonable size that I can get the video down to.

It's actually not legal for you to be doing this, so it would be unethical for anyone here to help you do it.

  • Adobe premiere pro cc crashes when i export to dvd

    hi all
i recently bought mac pro and shifted to adobe premiere cc from fcp 7. i am editing a fairly complicated documentary project where i have to deal various footage like mxf, m2ts, mts, mp4, mov etc. these are the footage my director got from different assigned person. those people used various type of camera like sony fs100 & z7, p1(hdv), panasonic 102aen and 250, canon dslr mark 2, 3 and etc. i know they use various type of compression. i have also some archival footage from vhs which is converted to mpeg.
i have a blackmagic ultra studio 4k card. so i'm dumping all the footage into sequences where setting is 1920*1080p with blackmagic 8 bit yuv compression. i primarily logged all the footage without any problem. but recently while i was exporting all the footage on dvds, my premiere cc repeatedly crashing. i should mention that i don't have adobe media encoder cc.
it is a huge project with almost 4 tb footage. it was running so smoothly so far. but i don't know what's gone wrong 3/4 days back my project also crashed. anyway i recovered that project but can't not export anything from it. note that i exported lots of footage as dvd before.
can any one give suggestion what should be my best sequence setting and why it's crashing? my final target of output is 1920*1080p. thanks in advance.

  • Premiere Pro only crashing on longer exports...

Hi, I'm on a 27" imac, new in 2013 and the specs are:
    - 10.8.5
    - 2.9GHz Intel Core i5
    - 8gb ram
    - Nvidia GeForce GTX (512)
    - Premiere CS6
A few months back, with no system changes, and using the same external hard drive I had been, I started experiencing crashes trying to export longer files (say, 12 minutes & above). I gave me the 'serious error' crash message.  I've reinstalled the entire Premium suite, and today, installed Premiere on a Mac laptop and tried exporting the same project video from a clean install and different machine. Same results.
The permissions seem to be correct. I considered formatting my iMac, but glad I didn't because of all the hassle, and it seems a 2 year old Mac shouldn't need reformatting anyway. Now that I tried exporting from a different Mac, I assume there's just something corrupting in the project files or such.
My 2 questions are: Does anyone have insight as to this problem?  And, would upgrading to Premiere CC (single app only) potentially make the problem go away?
Thank you for any help. I have a project due to a client today, but can't get the hour long video exported.

  • Premiere pro CC2014 crashes on new imac with AMD Radeon R9 M295X

Premiere Pro CC2014 starting up crashes with error "Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules"
We use new iMac with OS X 10.10.1 and graphic card AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096MB which is working faultlessly with all Adobe programs including Premiere Pro CC. Only Premiere Pro CC 2014 crashes and asks for viodeodriver.  No alterations can be made on iMac. Apple guarantees graphic card specifications. It seems to us obvious that PremierePro CC2014 is not compatible with this graphic card. We are completely stuck in our work for more than 2 week!! Does anybody can bring help? If necessary we can send crash report. Thanks!

  • Premiere Pro CC - Crash Pendant L'export

    Bonjour,

CS6 is 3+ years old and no longer supported by Adobe... so you are mostly on your own when it comes to problems with Yosemite... unless someone who reads this message is using both and can give you some ideas

  • Premiere Pro CS6, large project file size - crashing etc

Working on a project in Premiere Pro CS6 - also incorporating after effects and using 2 external plugins (Beauty Box and Factory Pro FX).  Project is over 500MB, lots of comps, titles etc.  project seems to be corrupt on my machine. .The project crashes continually. I cannot save my work, I cannot export, I cannot create XML and media is linking incorrectly.  When I pull the project in on my laptop (separate machine) which has CC 2014 running, the project is FINE.  That said - I need to work off of the more powerful machine to do this job - so need to find a way to troubleshoot.  Note - project opens on my partner's machine, she can save + export, etc - however the media in still linking incorrectly on her machine as well (note partner does not have the 2 plugins, beauty box and factory Pro FX) - that said, it still links to the wrong media.
We have worked out a work-arond where we pull all of the AE sequences out of Premiere and into separate AE project which has made the project workable again but we know something is WRONG and we need to fix for future ASAP.
    please help!
    thank you

  • I work with Premiere Pro on a mac and export quicktime movies to be played on pc's or mac's

I work with Premiere Pro on a mac and export quicktime movies to be played on pc's or mac's. When I export a qt from Premiere with audio it will not play on a pc only a mac. After extensive research I have narrowed down the problem to this: if you use the inspector in quicktime it looks like this
    DV, 720 x 480 (640 x 480), Millions
    16-bit Integer (Little Endian), Stereo (L R), 48.000 kHz
I have to run it thru AE to make it look like this....then it plays
    DV, 720 x 480 (640 x 480), Millions
16-bit Integer (Big Endian), Stereo, 48.000 kHz
SOOOO the problem is the Little/Big Endian. I googled that and it looks like a file/bit structure....anyone know how/why to change it in Premiere? Because everytime I make a movie in Prem I have to drag the sequence into AE and render it there so the sounds works.....
    thanks

    Two questions:
    1. What CODEC are you choosing when exporting on the Mac?
    2. Do you have any Blackmagic hardware/software installed?
    Cheers

  • Premiere Pro keeps crashing when using overwrite (.) shortcut in Source Monitor

When editing a clip in the source monitor and then using the (.) key to overwrite the clip onto my timeline Premiere Pro keeps crashing. If I select the Timeline window and then press the (.) key it works fine, but if the Source Monitor is highlighted and I press (.) it crashes every time and shows these windows:

A crash with a very similar error message was fixed in the new CC release. The bug report in that case involved creating a multi-cam sequence, so it might not be directly related.
If you have a chance to download the CC trial, we'd be interested to know whether the crash remains in the new version.
