Presenter install

I have a subscription for Presenter. I have downloaded it on to my new laptop but it is not showing on the PowerPoint tool bar. What else do I need to do?

Being a subscription, I would think you could download and install Presenter 9, assuming your subscription is still current.
However, you should be able to here, https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html, and see all your purchased and subscription products. I recall that download links used to be provided, but I don't see them now. You may need to reach out to Adobe Support to get a download link for those products.
Keep in mind that Presenter 8 is an old version of Presenter, and not made readily available for download. Also, the Presenter 9 installer should auto-detect the version of PPT you are using (32 bit or 64 bit) and install the appropriate version, where Presenter 8 had a 32 bit and 64 bit installer.

  • Adobe Flash is present, install CD say NYET!! Won't run ....

I have an older laptop that is still in good running order. In fact I just did a factory restore with the OEM disks just to clean it up and get it running proper again.  I went to install an older HP PDA on it with ActiveSync. The CD says cannot run and gives the link to adobe flash download. I've checked and I have the latest Adobe Flash and even on the Flash test pages the animations run just great. Why is this installation CD refusing to run because it sees no Adobe Flash?
THanks so much for any help!  Jack  ":-D

I don't have any problems installing Adobe Flash of the newer versions. It's getting the old enough version to run on the 2006 XP machine so this CD install disk asking for Flash will run.  It doesn't seem to recognize that the newer flashes are there. Therefore, I can't run the install disk for the installation of this older device.  The 9.0.280 zip when it unzips and gives these 3 program will unzip okay seemingly. But when I click on them they seem to do little to nothing. The one just opens a blank container with a typical File Menu and a blank container?
The Chrome thing, thanks. There is little you could say that I haven't done. I'm very familar with Settings. I've removed Yahoo as a Search default, as an extras search option. I've removed it from opening a 2nd tab and page. I've un-installed and re-installed Chrome, even a different version of Chrome Educational or some such. It will just re-install itself. I'm sure they've hidden something in the registry. I don't even think searching the registry for Yahoo would find it. I can't believe all the searching I've done and seen this same complaint that Chrome won't come out and give us a fix. I am going to stop using Chrome because I hate Yahoo more now with a passion. Before I was neutral, now I'm so disgusted they've taken on hijacking my browser with somethine I don't want or they won't give a way to fix. I admit in a hurry I probably accepted it with a download, but that should be reversable, not eternal.
    Thanks!

  • No luck installing Presenter- been more than 8 hours!

    I installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and it has Adobe Presenter included in it. But when I open PowerPoint files there's no presenter tab. I thought I need have to install Presenter separately. So, from the installation disk I clicked on "Install Adobe Presenter" but it keeps giving me the following error;
Error 1935. An error occurred during installation of assembly component.
    {303994BA-6487-47AE-AF-1D-7AF6088EEBDB}.
    HRESULT: 0x800736FD
While searching on this site, I found that it that the error is because of another installation in progress, but there is no other installation in progress. I have been rebooting and re-installing Adobe Presenter for the past almost 8 hours with no luck! I hope that someone can help me with this! Thanks!

My only suggestion is to uninstall Presenter, then download the free trial of Presenter from Adobe's website:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?loc=en_us&product=presenter
Install that, and when it asks for your serial number, enter it, which converts it from being a free trial to being a fully-working version.
Next, download and install the patches to Presenter -- 7.0.1, 7.0.2, and 7.0.5.  They must be each installed one after another -- you can't just do 7.0.5 alone.  You'll find the patches here:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=153&platform=Windows
    I hope this helps.

  • Acrobat XI Pro "Out of Memory" error after Office 2010 install

    Good Afternoon,
We recently pushed Office 2010 to our users and are now getting reports of previous installs of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro no longer working but throwing "Out of Memory" errors.
We are in a Windows XP environment. All machines are HP 8440p/6930p/6910 with the same Service pack level (3) and all up to date on security patches.
All machines are running Office 2010 SP1.
All machines have 2GB or 4GB of RAM (Only 3.25GB recognized as we are a 32bit OS environment).
All machines have adequate free space (ranging from 50gb to 200gb of free space).
All machines are set to 4096mb initial page file size with 8192mb maximum page file size.
All machines with Acrobat XI Pro *DO NOT* have Reader XI installed alongside. If Reader is installed, it is Reader 10.1 or higher.
The following troubleshooting steps have been taken:
    Verify page file size (4096mb - 8192mb).
Deleted local user and Windows temp files (%temp% and c:\WINDOWS\Temp both emptied).
Repair on Adobe Acrobat XI Pro install. No change.
Uninstall Acrobat Pro XI, reboot, re-install. No change.
Uninstall Acrobat Pro XI Pro along with *ALL* other Adobe applications presently installed (Flash Player, Air), delete all Adobe folders and files found in a full search of the C drive, delete all orphaned Registry entries for all Adobe products, re-empty all temp folders, reboot.
Re-install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. No change.
Disable enhanced security in Acrobat XI Pro. No change.
    Renamed Acrobat XI's plug_ins folder to plug_ins.old.
You *can* get Acrobat to open once this is done but when you attempt to edit a file or enter data into a form, you get the message, "The "Updater" plug-in has been removed. Please re-install Acrobat to continue viewing the current file."
A repair on the Office 2010 install and re-installing Office 2010 also had no effect.
At this point, short of re-imaging the machines (which is *not* an option), we are stumped.
We have not yet tried rolling back a user to Office 2007 as the upgrade initiative is enterprise-wide and rolling back would not be considered a solution.
Anyone have any ideas beyond what has been tried so far?

As mentioned, the TEMP folder is typically the problem. MS limits the size of this folder and you have 2 choices: 1. empty it or 2. increase the size limit. I am not positive this is the issue, but it does crop up at times. It does not matter how big your harddrive is, it is a matter of the amount of space that MS has allocated for virtual memory. I am surprised that there is an issue with 64GB of RAM, but MS is real good at letting you know you can't have it all for use because you might want to open up something else. That is why a lot of big packages turn off some of the limits of Windows or use Linux.

  • My Dell Vostro (running XP SP3) neither recognizes my iPad 2 nor my iPhone 4 correctly! I followed the troubleshooting guides and installed the latest iTunes. Both devices are recognised by my desktop PC running Vista using the exact same cable etc.

    Hello all,
my Laptop (Dell Vostro - running XP SP3) neither recognizes my iPad 2 nor my iPhone 4!
Both devices are working correctly with my desktop PC running Vista with the same USB cable!
I followed trouble shooting guides, checked that the drivers are present, installed, removed and reinstalled the latest iTunes (in the correct order together with the other Apple software components) etc. but nothing works! The interesting thing is that when I plug the iPad or the iPhone in the laptop's usb-port for a second Windows correctly shows the devices either as iPad or iPhone in the "Device Manager" with an exclamation point !!!    But then after a split second Windows allways switches the devices to Digital Camera and the correct iPad or iPhone disappears !!!     =>    That is why I guess that this is a driver problem!
Does anybody have any idea what else I can try?
Is there a manual way to install the drivers for the iPad 2 or iPhone 4?
Many thanks for your ideas and suggestions
    Edgar

Yes I know that (I always google first and ask later ). Too bad I find this out when it was too late. I was already on 4.3.

  • Where do I find my Adobe Presenter serial number?

    Hello,
I am brand new to Presenter 7, using it with MS Office 2010 (adobe just added support for Office 2010, hurray!).
When I attempt to install, it prompts me to enter the serial number, however, I cannot find it. The only serial number on the software box is for Acrobat 9 Pro extended, which I installed successfully. I cannot locate a serial number for Presenter 7. I've attempted to use the Acrobat 9 Pro serial number to install Presenter but it gives me an error (invalid serial number).
Does anyone know how I might locate my serial number for Presenter 7?
BTW, I do not have a connect pro account. All my work will be published to CD/DVD.
    Thanks in advance

I suppose you have a valid Acdrobat 9 Pro Extended Serial Key
So please try out the following:
    1) Install and Activate Acrobat on the system on which you are trying to install Presenter
    2) Download and install Presenter(the one which installs on Office 2010) from the website
    ·         Close PowerPoint if running
    ·         Go to following Presenter Install location
    o    <OS DRIVE>\Program Files\Adobe\Presenter 7\AMT
    ·         Rename AdobeConfig.xml and application.sif file to some other name say AdobeConfig.xml_bk and application.sif_bk
Reopen PowerPoint and access Presenter functionality.
It should work, otherwise it will ask to run and license Acrobat first on that machine.
Let me know if this workaround works for you

  • Installing SSD in Mac mini (mid 2009)

    Hi
I want to buy a new SSD Drive to my Mac Mini ( the installed drive is dead already)
    I thought about this model
    SanDisk SDSSDP-128G-G25
what do you recommend ? do you think it will be compatible ?

From the  > About This Mac menu, share what is stated for the present OS X version, CPU and installed memory. Further, run the System Information app from /Applications/Utilities. Using the following guide, share the revision of the EFI firmware presently installed. If you have the EFI firmware v1.2 installed, your mini can support 8GB RAM instead of the 4GB Apple ceiling without this firmware release. Here is a link for memory upgrades for this machine.
You still have a SATA II 3Gbps internal storage controller. Regardless of the SSD you choose, you will need a professional video of the (advanced difficulty) installation process for older Mac minis.
The SanDisk SDSSDP-128G-G25 is a SATA III drive that can fall back to SATA I and II. SanDisk provides a version 1.0 Windows-only (.exe) SSD Toolkit firmware update utliity. The last firmware update was Oct. 2012. SanDisk did not appear to offer a bootable Linux .iso firmware update solution for Macs. This is a 9.5 mm thick drive. I would pass on this drive as no provision for Mac installed firmware updates is evident, or even manufacturer stated Mac compatibility.
I installed a 128GB OCZ Vertex 4 SSD into my 2011 Mac mini last summer. Caught a special and got it for $99, though presently $135 and higher if you can find one in stock. Newegg is out right now, but shows 506 **** reviews. This manufacture is committed to Mac and PC firmware support solutions, with copious documentation and recent (Jan/2013) firmware update. The drive is 7mm and has a 5 year warranty. This is what I would recommend because it is in constant use, fast, and flawless. Here is a review.
Whichever drive you choose, you need some assurance it will have Mac firmware update support, and not require a PC only solution. The drive height must be 9.5 mm or less for the Mac mini.

Adobe Presenter - All I receive is a message "application encountered an internal error".  Has anyone any idea how to get this piece of software to work?  I've unistalled and reinstalled and switched the PC on/off all in various combinations without success.  If someone could help that would be good.

    Hi,
Please make sure you have the right version of Presenter installed on your system.
If the Microsoft office installed is 32 bit, presenter version needs to be 32 bit.
If the Microsoft office installed is 64 bit, presenter version needs to be 64 bit.
Could you please check if the problem is because of the wrong version.

  • Install badge fails with '@' or '.' in appinstallarg

I'm trying to run the AIR install badge with my application and I would like to pass down an varible (in my case, an email address) to be read when the app is first run.  However, whenever I have the '@' or the '.' character as part of the appinstallarg parameter, the badge fails to even start downloading the file.  If I change the appinstallarg to be a single word (like 'blah') it works fine.  It's also fine if I put spaces in the argument, just not certain other characters.
I have also tried url encoding the argument (using %40 for '@' and %2E for '.') but it hasn't helped.
I'm considering just transcoding the bad characters into various numbers of spaces or something, but it would be nice if there were a way around this.

    Regarding the newer badge install:
I'm having a few issues where it's not seeing my application
already installed (AIR app with Flex).
The application is definitely installed but it keeps opening
the .AIR file and asking to open/save.
Does the AIR app have to be signed properly (i.e. a real
certificate, paid for) to be able to fully work with the badge
    installer?
I have set everything correctly in Flex
    (allowBrowserInvocation: set to true)
and in the HTML I've set it to correctly based on what is in
my Flex file (appid, appversion, name, etc)
I've set airversion to "1.0".... what is 1.0.M6 ? (is this
    Beta 3?)
I haven't set "pubid" to anything, just left as ""... would
this affect the way the badge works?
Could I request an update to the badge system... as it's
doing a lot of checking for Beta3.
It would be much better and cleaner if it just looked for the
current AIR version and then if it was not present installed it.

  • Playing back a PPT enhanced w/SWF's using Presenter

Hey everyone, where I work we do a variety of training and we were hoping to enhance some of the powerpoint trainings by adding SWF's to them using Presenter. Here's my question though, can people who don't have Presenter installed still give the presentations with the SWF's intact just using Flash Player, or does everyone who might give the presentations have to have Presenter. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think you are asking if you can give an output/publish version of the presenter file to another person who doesn't have presenter installed? If so then yes, we publish our files for internet, so the client or whomever just opens the index.htm file to view the presentation.

  • Unable to "try" trial version... "Adobe Presenter failed to open because..."

After installing the trial version of Presenter 7, and launching it in PowerPoint (2007)... each time I go to the "Adobe Presenter" tab, in PowerPoint, and try to click on any button (on the toolbar - for example "Help")... I see a dialog flash on the screen - for a brief moment... then it immediately goes away.
Then, if I click on "Help" again (or any other button), I get the following error dialog:
"Adobe Presenter failed to open because either it is not licensed or there is an error in the licensing system. Please close and re-launch PowerPoint and enter serial number to license it. If this problem persists, reinstall this product and try again."
Yeah, it's not licensed (yet) - it's a freshly installed "trial" version.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can get Presenter 7 working so that I can effectively evaluate it - to see if it will meet my needs or not?
    Thanks.

  • Installing Acrobat 9 on a new computer

I have the disk with serial number for acrobat 9 standard (presently installed on my old computer).  After installing on the new computer, it says this disk is for an upgrade from Acrobat 6 (it is) and asks for the serial number for that product - which I no longer have. I am willing to buy the new Acrobat XI upgrade, but expect to have the same problem with that since 9 is not fully usable.

  • Presenter video recording from PowerPoint has stopped working

My Adobe Presenter 9.02 Build 173 has suddenly developed a problem where recording video from within PowerPoint has stopped working. I have Office 2013 32-bit and Windows 8.1 64 bit. I believe that Presenter installed itself automatically in the installation process as a 64-bit application.
When I press the 'record now' icon on the Presenter toolbar, PowerPoint opens the current displayed in Slide Show view and I get the following error message:-
"Adobe presenter has encountered unexpected problem while working with this presentation......" etc.
This video recording feature from within PowerPoint has worked just fine on my system with the identical setup as mentioned in my opening paragraph but it's suddenly stopped working for some reason? I checked and do have the latest graphics driver.
The stand - alone video creator tool records video outside of PowerPoint just fine but as stated, I can’t execute recording from the ‘record’ icon on the Presenter menu in PowerPoint.
I tried the following without success:-
I created a new PowerPoint file and tried to repeat the recording process
I ran PowerPoint as Administrator and ran the file ‘Adobe-Pr-VC.exe’ (in C:\Program Files\Adobe) as Administrator
    I uninstalled and re-installed Presenter
I turned off my AV software and firewall
I created a new Windows Administrator account and tried video recording within PowerPoint
Anyone have any ideas on what else I could try?
    Peter

Solved! In the end, the solution was simple!
I went to the PowerPoint 2013 ribbon and clicked on 'Slide Show' and unchecked 'Use Presenter View' and video recording from within PowerPoint immediately started working fine. Previously, the 'Use Presenter View' box had a check mark in it. When you click on the record video button in Presenter, PowerPoint goes into slide show view and clearly Presenter doesn't like PowerPoint opening the Slide Show view in Presenter view.
I picked up on this from another PC I have with PowerPoint 2013 and Adobe Presenter 9. The video recording feature worked every time on that PC and I noticed that the only difference was that the newer PC had a check mark next to 'Use Presenter View' where as the older PC setup didn't.
So everything is working well now!
