Preview and print does not match image in LR

I tweaked an image in Develop and printed some 5x7s until I got it right and then went to 13x19 (first time ever using that size with my R3000). The print preview and the print were way too red. I went back to a 5x7 and it was way red as well in print preview, so I didn't print. I replaced a light magenta cart that I think ran out during the 13x19 print, and then some others that were low, and did a nozzle check and that was okay. I have spent hours looking around all of the settings (sRGB) and can find nothing that would explain what changed between my last good 5x7 print and the red 13x19. I went back to earlier versions and had the same problem. Monitor is due for recalibration, but that probably has nothing to do with it since it changed so suddenly. Any ideas of what to do? A print that is too red / magenta is an indication for double color management, i.e. by Lr and by the printer.
Color management must be done only by one: either by the application (Lr or Photoshop) or by the printer but never by both.
When you select a printing profile in Lr that means that now Lr is doing the color management. Consequently you have to switch off colo rmanagement in the printer dialog (printer driver).

Or, you can do it the other way round: Let the printer do the color management and select <Managed by Printer> in Lr.

I am now having the same problem with my mac mini that I was having with my G4 powerbook.
When in imovie I choose share and then videocamera and send the movie to a video camera, sometimes the voice of the person speaking does not match the lips.
Usually if I do a restart, and make the same movements then it will work okay.
The camera is a JVC.
Any ideas???

Free space of mdf and ldf does not match with database free space

In SSMS i saw file size related properties and found below details for one database.Here values does not match with other properties. Here size of the mdf, ldf and total size matches with other values under each window. But Available free space of mdf and ldf
if added then it does not equal to Available free space shown in shrink database window and free space shown in database properties. This is true for any database. Why is it so? Please can anyone explain the logic behind this?
Under database properties:
Size: 91.31 MB
Space available:13.40 MB
Under database file properites:
mdf size:17 MB
ldf size:75 MB
under shrink database:
currently allocated size:91.31 MB
Available free space:13.40 MB
under shrink file-for data file:
currently allocated size:16.38 MB
Available free space:12.63 MB
under shrink file-for log file:
currently allocated size:74.94 MB
Available free space:55.62 MB

Hi,
Database properties and database shrink show the total (log+data) values. Others show the individual sizes, log and data separately.

This does not answer my question. If you add allocated space of mdf and ldf it equals to database allocated size.But i am asking why this ldf and mdf free space together(when added 55.62+12.63 ) does not equal to database free space?

Preview and safari do not display images in a pdf, where as chrome will. How do I fix this?

I'm on the newest OS X Yosemite and I have an issue with viewing pdfs in both preview and safari. The figures show up fine from Chrome. This also leads to the issue of when I try to print off the pdf. The images do not appear in the printed version.
Safari/ Preview:

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
          Allow Plug-ins
Then click
          Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

Monitor and printer colours not matching!

Hi, when I print, the colours do not match my monitor! Using CS6.

There's no easy answers here, you have to read up on color mangementnt, calibration and all that stuff. Start by reseting any color tweaks to factory defaults on your monitor and printer. Beyond that it's a topic peopel write books about and nobody can answer this in two simple sentences. Scour the print-centric forums for Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign for some posts from the past that offer basic guidance and research the topic on a more generic level with a web search.

FAN and display does not match.

hi.
i have a mega 180 and use the pc software "PC alert 4" to show info on the LCD. only thing is that it shows fanspeed between 2900rpm and 5400rpm without that i can either hear or feel any difference. and the temperature of the CPU has to go to about 75C before the FAN speeds up. and sometimes when the cpu is hot for a long time the fan gets stuck on high rpm so i have to restart my computer to slow it down.
now i wonder if a BIOS update will fix this? and how do i update my bios?

i use Arctic silver5 and i have applied thermal paste lots of times so i know how to do. it so thin that i cannot make it thinner without clearing the view to the CPU core.
and yes i have been thinking on reversing the cpu FANs and putting in an additional 60mm fan to blow over the discs and memory. but first i need a 4pin connector splitter so i can put in my other harddrive and then i need one more fan connector..
stupid MSI built in a SATA power cord when the 180 does not have SATA controller.

ITunes 7.3.2: ArtWork does not match Images on Cover Flow View and iPod

Hello everyone, this is my first post, thanks in advance for any and all help.
I have loaded most of my music collection onto iTunes, and authorized it to get album artwork. It has only found about 60% of my cover art (I have a lot of international discs, etc.), and of what it does find maybe 60% is correct. So I have spent a lot of time adding artwork by either scanning in cover art or cutting and pasting from the web. I go to "Get Info" and check the artwork tab all the time to make sure that only artwork that is correct or that I have added is attached to each of my song files.
However, I have noticed that there is a significant amount of my song files that, when I use cover flow view, or when I play the songs on my video iPod, the artwork that is on the artwork pane and what appears on the cover flow view don't match. Or the artwork that is in the artwork pane (and the only artwork in the get info artwork section) and what shows up on my iPod, don't match up. It is, for an OCD completist like me, rather annoying.
As an example, I have a lot of compilation albums. I have probably 13 different albums by different artists but which all have the same name of "The Ultimate Collection". There are some tracks for each album where the artwork pane and the cover flow view artwork match, but not all of the tracks.
I selected "group compilations when browsing", but that doesn't help. I selected all the tracks from the same album and clicked yes to whether it is a compilation, and that didn't work.
Does anyone have a simple, QUICK solution for making the artwork I have put in the artwork pane override or force itself on the cover flow view? Horrible phrasing I know, but thank you in advance for your help!

I had the same problem when I updated to 7.3, but I was able to fix it.
As far as I can tell, itunes 7.3 sees all music files (in your user/itunes/music folder) with the extension .mpg as quicktime movies, not mp3's and itunes won't let you add a cover to them. The problem is that songs imported as mp3's by previous versions of iTunes were all given the extension .mpg and not .mp3 (at least on my machine). I was able to fix the problem by simply changing the .mpg to .mp3 for all of my songs. As soon as I did this, the album artwork showed up again.
You have a few options for how you change the extension. You can right click on every file in your itunes library and select "Show In Finder" to change the file extension, or if you have many songs to fix (I had 793) you can download 'A Better Finder Rename' (search for it at www.versiontracker.com, it costs $20 to change more than 10 files at a time) which will make the changes automatically. If you are cheap you can always set up an automator work-flow to get the job done.

How can I fix a problem between Firefox and my printer? When I try to print a window appears Save as ,then another saying Firefox not responding and printing does not work

I used to be able to print correctly using Firefox as my browser,but something changed in the last month or so,possibly after a Firefox update. I`m not really sure how it happened but there seems to be a problem between Firefox and my printer. So I have been using Internet Explorer as my default so I can print. I would prefer to use Firefox again since that is where my bookmarks are. Is there a way to get the connection between Firefox and my printer back?

Print priview and print out not matching

I have a developed a script for Goods receipt.
In the Print Priveiw in MB90 all the boxes inserted by me are appearing
but in the print out some of this boxes are not appearing .
Please help its a bit urgent.

wat you are seeing in the print preview is just the place where the boxes are displayed but unless you specify the intensity or the thicknessof the lines for the box they will not appear in the print.
try giving some intesity as 10.

iTunes has many stores, in different regions. If you are trying to rent from a different location that would explain the error.

Printer will not connect wireless WPA passphrase does not match.

My printer use to work wireless and now has stopped. The passphrase has not been changed, all other wireless computers, PS3 still work. I have re-entered the passphrase several times with same error. Diagnostics resulsts:

I have tried several times to input the passphrase, i have reset defults on the modem, i have unpluged the modem. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas on how to fix this problem. Temporarily remove and disable all security on the router. Now try to connect to your unsecured SSID. Are you successful? If yes, go back and add WPA2-AES with your password and try to connect again.
