Price difference posting at the time of IR based on GR

Hi,
I had a PO for 10 pieces @ 10, GR for 10 pieces @10, but i got a invoice from vendor for 10 piece @12.
so what can be the possible entries at the time of IR for Price difference; like, it should be posted to material account / it should post to price difference account. How can we configure the same? is price control indicator do play any roll here?
Please try to give as much as information as you can.

While posting invoice through MIRO, system takes into acccount either Stock or Price differences. To understand more.....
If the stock is available, then the system transfer that amount to inventory. if the stock is not avaiable system transfers that amount to price differences account.
If the stock is partly available, then system generates 4 line items. while doing invoice in the moving Avg price(V)
GR/IR Account               DR   
Inventory acccount        DR (In Case of Price increase due to escalation clause)
Price diff. account          DR (In Case of Price increase due to escalation clause)
          To Vendor account   
          To  Inventory acccount        DR (In Case of Price decrease due to escalation clause)
          To  Price diff. account          DR (In Case of Price decrease due to escalation clause)
In the above entry only one will be applicable regarding diffrences posting either price decrease or price increase.In the case of Oil (HSD)these fluctuations are very common.

    Thanks for valuable advice, but in our case when i double click PRD, there is only one account is mapped in our chart of accounts, But there is no field for Valuation class, from Account field and to account field,
    only one field is there by nme Account, where in Price difference account is maintained.
    I don't have the option of linking Valuation class with GL Accounts of RM & Semi Finished Materials.
    How can make those fields to be shown in that Screen.
    If  i check for other chart of accounts, it is showing 3 fields
    such as Valuation class, from account no & to account no.
    but for our chart of account only one filed "account" is displayed in the screen.

    ( No change of price during thiese transaction through MR21 )
    At the time of 122 document creation , the accounting entries are going in to price diff a/c instead of inventory a/c.
    can any one confirm the resons behing a/c entries hiting price difff a/c.

    I think While crdeit memo system will hit Price differe account, Please clarify how the Subsequent debit/Credit works.
    Suppose you have ordered 100 kg of a material. The vendor invoiced you $1 a kg, being an invoice of $100.
    After a while he notices that he should have invoiced you too much or not enough. He tells you he made a mistake and agrees with you he can send you an additional invoice/credit memo for the invoiced quantity with the price difference. This will be posted as a subsequent debit/credit.
    The subsequent debit/credit is an additional invoice/credit memo where only a price difference is posted for a certain quantity without influencing the invoiced quantity in the system.
    After the posting of the subsequent debit/credit, you still have 100 kg invoiced but for a unit price of $1 +/- the additional correction.
    Suppose you have ordered 100 kg of a material. The vendor invoices you 105 kg. You don't agree. He should send you a credit memo for 5 kg.
    With a regular credit memo, you'll end up changing the invoiced quantity.
    After posting the credit memo you'll have an invoiced quantity of 105-5=100.
    In short:
    - a subsequent debit/credit will be visible in the system as an invoiced price difference for an existing invoiced quantity. The invoiced quantity is not touched. The quantity you enter during posting is to indicate to what quantity the price difference relates.
    - a credit memo is a correction of the invoiced quantity

  • PO Price Re-Determination at the time of GR

    In case of variable metal price scenarios, the Price has to be re-determined during GR and the same should be updated in PO. We have configured new Pricing Procedure for variable metal prices.
    Example:
    At the time of PO Creation Price is: 11 Rs/- (Gross Price =10 + Price of Variable Metal =1)
    Then During GR (After 5 days from Creation date) assume that the Price of Variable Metal is increased by 2 Rs/-. Then the New Price is 13 (10+3). Now this price should be updated in PO also

    let me clear my business scenario...
    total price of po is usd100 and sales tax is 20%.
    system calculate sales tax separate the reason being the codition type for sales tax is statistical.
    is it possible that the value of sales tax included in the PO net price but not calculate at the time of GR.

    This is very much possible. Include your tax condition type in the calculation of net price and make this tax as deductible.Donot assign NVV key to it.
    Also donot make it statistical as you want to include it in the net price calculation.

  • Logic of price difference  posting

    Hi Experts,
    I want to understand a scenario where:
    1. we have a price variance due to insufficient stock at IR for a PO related to Raw material. ( it hits the Price Difference(P/L) A/c                 (PRD))
    2. The raw materiel has insufficient stock since it has been issued to production order and not sold as yet but we are booking a gain or loss in P/L.
    Now the question is that is inline with correct accounting since we are realizing a gin or loss even though the item still lies in our books? Shouldn't this price difference value put an impact on production order instead so that the product cost is more accurate?
    Please help me understand as this point has been raised by Finance Dept.

    Hi,
    1. When you issue material to production order, what entry gets posted? its Consumption A/c -- dr and Inventory a/c -- cr
    now as far as inventory is concerned qty issued to production has lost its identity since it has been issued.. it need not be 'sold'.
    In Inventory Valuation you can valuate only that inventory which is not issued and intact in Balance Sheet.
    so, this perception is completely wrong that inventory is issued to production but still not sold so can be considered for other calculations.
    2.
    Lets look at the scenario why difference has occurred. let's take a example
    1. PO -- Qty. 10 @ $ 100
    2.GR -- Qty. 10 @ $ 100
    with this entry Material MAP = $ 10.
    3. Issued to production - Qty. 2 @ $ 10.
    4. Stock available at this stage is Qty. 8 @ $ 10.
    5. IR. -- Qty 10 @ 120 -- now system will post price difference of (qty 2 * diff $ 20).
    Now, at stage 3 you have issued qty to production order so its been consumed, now at IR you realized a difference in PO price and IR price. (understand the time difference during all transactions) but this difference has occurred for Qty. 10 where as to cover that difference you have only Qty 8 left in your stock hence the price difference to the extent of qty 2.
    Stock price will be very unrealistic if you load difference to the extent of Qty 2, on the Qty. in stock which is Qty. 8.
    By far this is the correct way accounting..
    In SAP terms this is called as "Material with MAP without Stock Coverage"

    all
    i have created a asset with acquisition date 1.4.2011. i have posted the  acquisition value as 20000 inr.
    i have executed the depreciation run in  AFAB t.code  for april2011, may 2011,.. the depreciation is posted. in august i am retiring the asset with revenue in f-92. at this time  the accumulated depreciation is not debited .  the system is taking the difference between the acquisition value and sale proceeds  to loss on sale of asset directly.
    pls suggest me what is to be done

    yes, i have assigned  the GL account for the accumulated depreciation on the asset in AO90.  when i  execute the depreciation run the system is posting the entry
    depreciation a/c     dr
        to  accumulated depreciation on asset a/c
    but at the time of retiring the asset  it is not debiting the accumulated depreciation on asset a/c.

  • Distributing Price Differences posted with  MIRO to production orders

    Dear guru ,
    I know DUV that distribute consumption differences from a physical inventory to production orders.
    After the production order consumptions (mvt. Type 261) for these materials we posted the prices differences with MIRO between the purchase order price and the invoice.
    Does exist a tool like DUV (or other) in order to distribute these differences in price to the production orders that have consumed these materials ?

    To me it looks like the material ledger is the standard tool for doing what you want to do (although it doesn't actually post price differences from purchases to production order but rather distributes them to the receiving materials on the level of the actual price calculation)

  • How to retrive the new reocrds which are posted at the time of loading data

    i have a doubt
    if we are performing a load operation at the time of loading if client posts some new records related to the current load is those records will be transferred to the target with the current load or we have to load them at the time of delta load, what will be the problems occurs at this situation
    also we are having an option in RSA3 ---BLOCKED ORDERS is it going to helpful for this situation
    also i found some answer like at the time of loading we need to lock the base tables so that the new data will be blocked is it the solution for the above scenario

    Hi Lokesh,
    Not clear if you are referring to posting of records during an initialization activity or normal delta, full loads. In case of an initialisation for a LO Cockpit datasource you cannot allow any postings to be done in the source (ECC) system. In case of normal delta, full loads, the changes are stored in tables/extract structures/delta queues and are not affected by the changes in the source system during that time. The changes done during that time are captured in the next delta run.

    At the time of Invoicing we are expecting the below 2 entries
    COGS A/c                   Dr
          Stock in Transit A/c     Cr
    Customer A/c               Dr
              Revenues
    We would like to know how to achieve the 2 the above mentioned 2 entries at the time of Invoicing.

    Hi Balaji,
    I can give you below direction...
    1. Go to OBYC and enter GL Account Goods in Transit for key GBB VAX. So whenever you post PGI, system will post GL Account Goods in Transit.
    2. You will have to add two condition typs into your pricing procedure..
    ZGDS:Goods in transit (GL Account - Goods in transit)
    COGS:Cost of Goods Sold. (GL Accounts COGS)
    Importantly, you will have to attach Calculation Routine which will bring the amount posted to Goods in transit at the time of PGI.

    In Post Dunning Run, you can see the interest amount on the print form, but There will not be an FI Entry for the same. if you want to have Interest calculations posted to FI , for this You need to Maintain a Separate config settings and also the GL Account ,should be activated with Interest Calculation indicator i.e in GL Master. you can do the required Config Settings at SPRO -Financial Accounting (New)-Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable-Business Transactions-Interest Calculation-Prepare Interest on Arrears Calculation-Excute  go to New entries or Click on the Indicator for which you want to maintain and give the details as per the requirment.
    also check the other settings in the same path for furdhur requirments.

  • Small Differences posted to the same profit center

    Hello dear all,
    My problem is following:
    User post a document via MIRO.
    This document generated an accounting entries. All line are posted with profit center 1000 except one line was posted with profit center 2000.
    This is because the MM small differences (customizing in automatic psoting in FBKP) are customized to be posted to the account 658000.
    In OKB9, the account 658000 is linked to the cost center C0ZZ001 and the cost center COZZ001 is linked to the profit center 2000 in his master record and it's not possible to remove/change it since there transactions already posted in FI.
    That's why the system post automatically the differences with profit center 2000.
    User don't accept this and i don't have idea how to resolve this issue, since small differences should be posted always to the same G/L account.
    My question is: Is there a possibility to let system take always the profit center of the invoice for all lines ?

    Option 1
    When posting the original transaction you can replace the profit center 2000 with Profit center 1000 by over writing.
    Option 2
    You can repost the small difference amounts from Profit center 2000 to 1000 using transaction 9KE0.
    Option 3
    You can reallocate the 2000 small difference amounts to relevant profit center 1000 using distribution cycle. Transaction:4KE5

  • AED and SED not getting posted at the time of J1IEX

    Hi,
    I have an issue related to CIN.
    I have created PO with proper tax code and the excise taxes are calculated properly for BED,AED and SED
    Then I did MIGO with only Part1 update.
    After that I tried to captured the excise invoice by using the transaction code J1IEX- Capture, here all the three taxes are showing correctly, but at the time simulation I can see only BED entry but not other two.
    The BED entry which got simulated is ED A/c Dr to Cenvat clg A/c
    I have maintained the proper account determination for AED and SED with proper condition types.
    Still am I missing any customizing seetings either from FI or From MM

    In FF67 below document no. not posted. I tried to post it from FEBAN also.
    Vendor payment 1500004860 - Amount 1164.50 USD(261,648.24 LKR)
    Vendor Payment 1500005009 -Amount 2346.00 GBP (309,244.32 LKR)
    When comes to 'Post with Clearing Process open items' screen gives the error msg "No Batch input data for screen SAPDF05X 3100.
    I tried to post it from FEBAN also but due to exchange rate differences its showing error. My all bank accounts are maintained in LKR currency.
    In below screenshot i am getting the different amount than which i want to clear.
    Please Suggest.

Shall I achieve this with any interpretation algorithm or with Value date field as in variant for clearing outgoing bank account. So system will pick the reference as value date for clearing of bank payment related transaction in different currency.

  • GR/IR Posting at the time of Service Procurement

    Dear SAP Friends,
    I am working on the issue of Shipment & Shipment Costing.
    In that scenario their is process of Service Procurement for Fright Charges paid to Transport Vendor.
    Now in that case while making the Shipment Document system automatically creates the Service Entry Sheet in the Background with respect to Service PO created (Manually) for the same transport vendor.
    We have maintained valuation class no.3225 for Freight Services & material group no. 960  for Services.
    Also in Logistic Execution -
    > Transportation -
    > Shipment Cost -
    > Shipment Cost Document -
    > Shipment Cost Types and Item Categories (T_56). In this we have maintained valuation class 3225 with respect to Item Category/Automatic Proposal(Posting)/Valuation Class - 3225.
    Also in OBYC - WRX (GR/IR Clearing) i have maintained Valuation Class - 3225 with required GL - 14820000.
    But when we check the accounting entries for Service Entry Sheet systems does not pick the GL account with respect to valuation class maintained in OBYC - WRX. Instead system was picking the G/L account for which Valuation Class not maintained.
    Our requirement is we want different G/L account for GI/IR clearing in the Shipment Process. We have also made the configuration for the same.

    Hi,
    It is of the standard functionality of SAP that in case of WRX Transaction/Event Key for Service PO, the blank valuation class will be applied.  The valuation class will only be used for this particular transaction/event key WRX in case of material.
