Printing 1 item multiple times

I have tried to print 1 item (1 page in length) from Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat (All CS3) in large quantities - 100+. The problem is, I send the same sheet 100 times, so it overloads the network & printer, and nothing ever prints. Never had an issue doing this before, but now I can't figure out how to tell the printer to print 1 thing 100 times, and not 100 things 100 times.
Mac Pro - 10.5.latest updates installed - OCE Color Copier with the Fiery driver hard drive thing attached to it.

The printer was named incorrectly.

Can't print a photo multiple times on a single page

I just installed iLife 8 and am trying to print one 3X5 photo multiple times on a single page. When I consulted the help menu in iPhoto, I found what I thought was the answer. When I followed the instructions, I hit a snag because I don't have the Photos Per Page pop-up menu it references. Any ideas on how I can do this to save paper?
Here's what the help menu said:

If you have a favorite photo you want to share with many people, you can print multiple copies of that photo on a single page.
To print one photo multiple times on a single page
Select the photo you want to print.
Click the Print button.
Select the paper size (such as letter-size or legal-size).
Select the print size (such as 2 x 3 or 4 x 6).
If you want to make the photo a custom size, select Custom.
Click the Customize button.
Click the Settings button.
Select “Multiple of the same photo per page” from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu.
iPhoto will zoom and crop the photo to fit the space available. To make a photo appear full-frame, Control-click the photo and choose “Fit Photo to Frame Size” from the menu that appears.
Click OK.
Click Print.

Well don't I feel stupid! I just installed iLife '08 and assumed that it would tell me right away if I needed any updates. I found and installed the needed updates (7.1.1), I got the right settings drop down menu to print multiples on one page. Thanks for your help

The title of my question is the title of the page in iPhoto 8 help.

It says (a bit shortened) 1. Select photo 2. Click print button 3. Select paper size 4. Select print size 5 Click Customize button 6 Click Settings button 7. Select "Multiple of same photo per page from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu. 8 Click OK 9 Click Print.
I can not find the pop-up menu referred to in Step 7. There are two "settings" buttons - neither produce a Photos Per Page pop-up menu. Settings appears if you click a double arrow to the right in the lower margin but only deals with font issues and "Print Settings" does not offer such a pop-up.
I am using Leopard on a PowerBook G4 and just bought and installed the newest iLife 8.

When you click on the Customize button there will be a Setting button in the next window. Click on it and in the drop down window that comes up will be the option to print multiple photos of the same photo per page.
Select that option and click OK. You'll get the spinning cursor for a few seconds as iPhoto creates the multiple copies on the page you selected. Be sure that the print size is small enough so that you can have multiple copies of it on the paper size you selected.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Printing One Address Multiple Times

I am using the label format portion of Oracle Reports and I am trying to display/print one address multiple times based on the user's input. Is this possible? Any coding example would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

You could pass this value as a parameter to the report and add a where clause to the report that limited the numbers returned based on this parameter. This is essentially what Kevin's doing in his example (the reference to :copies_required).
Incidentally, there's another way to do this without creating a new table of integers. You can get the same result by using the rownum pseudo column (as long as you have a table with at least as many rows as the number of times you want the address to repeat). You can then create one driving query:
select rownum from table
where rownum <= :number_of_copies
and a detail query:
select address from address_table
Link these queries with a group link and generate a default layout. Delete any columns in the 'rownum' repeating frame and run - you should get the address repeated the number of times specified in :number_of_copies.

Printer shows up multiple times in my device list

I have an EA4500 router running firmware version 2.1.39.145204. A device, which I assume is my HP printer, shows up on my device list multiple times (11). This is illustrated below with the devices status report from the "Troubleshooting" tab of my Smart Wi-Fi interface. The device listed as "Photosmart Premium C309g-m" is indeed my printer. The MAC address listed agrees with the set-up information in my printer and it is correctly listed as connected via wi-fi. There is no hard wire connection from the printer to the network.. As you can see, there is a bunch of other devices listed all with the same name. These devices have the same IP address as my printer but different MAC addresses. My questions are:
1. What causes this situation?
2. How do I fix it? By this I mean, how do I remove the multiple listings?

Hi sgtpepperlhcb2! Duplicate MAC and IP addresses in the DHCP list can be an indication of a possible firmware problem. I suggest you upgrade the router's firmware. Reset and reconfigure the router if the firmware upgrade will not work.

Reviewer receives same item multiple times

Hi Experts,
I am using SRM 7.0 system with application controlled workflow. For one particular user who is assigned as a reviewer for the SC receives the same item for review multiple times. Suppose the SC has 1 line item then the work item email the user gets is like:
1 . Check shopping cart of xyz with total value 100 USD
2 . Check shopping cart of xyz with total value 100 USD
3 . Check shopping cart of xyz with total value 100 USD
I was checking the workflow log in swi1 and found 3 review workflow step were created. Is there any way to find what is the reason for this or only we can check during debug?

try to use a different Item category for the batch split items in the delivery. In the Item category determination, maintain a different item category for the LF NORM CHSP TAN combination.
Now this Item category would be not relevant for Billing so it will not flow to your Invoice.
This will definitely help.

BOM: same item multiple times?

we are in the implementation phase of Oracle 11i applications. Our consultant told us, that it is not possible to enter the same item several times in a BOM. Is that true? Unfortunately so far I do not have access to a database to test it by myself, so I need your help.

We have overcome this difficulty by using phantom items.
So, instead of having a BOM like this:
ASSEMBLY
Item A
Item B
Item C
Item A (*)
Item D
We have:
ASSEMBLY
Phantom #1
Item A
Item B
Item C
Phantom #2
Item A
Item D
After complaining a little bit, users realized that this solution (in our environment) was also logically better.

Best way to print an image multiple times on same sheet and not lose quality when doing so

Hello,
I have the full subscription to Adobe Creative Suite, but am unfamiliar with almost all of the programs. I have used Photoshop a bit, but not too much.
I have this project I do several times a year, and am sure there is a better way to do it.
I am sent a colourful excel spreadsheet - a schedule. I print a bunch of copies full size, then need to print 8 copies on a single 8.5x11 piece of paper.
I've tried several methods - but want to know what the best way to retain the best quality would be.
The best I've done (and I'm not totally happy with) is to copy the image into Photoshop, save as a PDF, create 7 more copies then merge as a single PDF and print.
I do find that the quality does suffer a bit.
Can anyone suggest a better way?

With all the apps at your disposal, that is a long way around. Granted it is hard to not loose quality/data when scaling. But it makes sense to create the document to your liking, then create a new document that is 8.5" x 11" and place the original into it. Then using guides or alignment tools, duplicate that image.
This allows you to have full control over the location of each image, and extra data needed like captions, names, etc. and how that data is formated.
Luckily you have multiple programs that can accomplish this. Some are easier than others, some are more robust than others, etc. In the end it is what you are familar with and how much time you can spend on learning while getting the job done.
Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign are all your go to programs from creating anything for print and they can be used for other media as well. But that is their strong suite, print.
All three apps have their own dedicated forum on this site, so go ahead and mark them as your favorites as your questions for each need to be in their respective place.

How to stop user from referencing a PR Item multiple times in an RFQ

the same PR item is being referenced in the RFQ Muliple times. How can i control/stop the user from doing it.

MM--Purchasing -- environment data -- Define system messages or Tcode--OMCQ
set the message number 06 076 as error message , then system will not allow the same line item to cross the PR qty

Problems printing one photo multiple times on a single page

Im trying to print multiple photos on a page so as to not waste paper. I have a 4 X 6 photo and want to print 2, 3X3 photos on the page. If you follow the HELP directions which are
Choose FILE > Print, Select paper Size, in my case 4X6. click on customize, Click Settings button then choose "Multiple of the same photo per page"
The "Multiple photo per page" option is grayed out. After troubleshooting it appears the software is telling me that two 3X3 photos cant fit in a 4X6 inch wide space and wont let me try. I was able to get around the problem by printing two 2.9 inch photos.
The software should be friendlier - Allow me to print 2 photos that are a exact fit to the paper. If the photo needs to be adjusted the software should do the adjustments in the background.
If Im having a problem here Im sure others are too.

Note that in general you DO NOT want software to change your specs - if you need a 3"x3" print you do not want the software to change it to 2.9" x 2.9" in the background - if it can not do what you requested then not doing it and having you adjust the request is the most appropriate path IMHO

Printing one address multiple times on the same label sheet

Does anyone know how to print the same address on all 20 labels of a label sheet. So far I can only figure out how to print 20 different addresses. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

That's not a feature of Address Book. You can do that with a program called pearLabelizer, which is free. If you want to print groups from Address Book, it pulls the information for you and prints the labels; if you just want to print one address onto multiple labels, you can type it in or paste it in from somewhere, select all the labels and then Print and it will be done for you.

Printing same photo multiple times on one contact sheet

First, I would like to ask you a couple of questions to clarify: When you installed this printer on your computer, were you able to print a document? Did the installation state it had a successful wireless connection?

I am trying to print a snapshot taken from a PDF multiple times on one page.

Reader Will not print multiple copies of a snapshot on one page. I read the help files for Acrobat itself and all it said was take the snapshot and print it. Does anyone know if Acrobat can print multiple copies of the snapshot on one page?
From some reading in another forum page it looks like Acrobat can do it by saving the snapshot repeatedly with different names and the printing all of them at once. I really hate that workaround as I need to do this often.

I tried to do it using Reader. I have a one page PDF document with a UPS shipping label on one side and a special box label with a barcode on the other. This is designed to print on a standard 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. There are many times when I need to be able to print the box labels more than once. At home, I do it by taking a snapshot of the box label and printing it to a Label printer as many times as I need it. The distributor who also ships items for me only has a full page printer but he can print 4 on a page labels on UPS provided stock. Reader won’t print a snapshot multiple times, the option is grayed out. What I wanted to know is if Acrobat itself can print that snapshot multiple times. I don’t think it can without being able to cut and save that PDF multiple times as separate files. That would be a slow and cumbersome operation. If it would take a snapshot or a single cut and save and print that PDF 4 times on a page it would be a reason to spend the money to buy the program because we need to perform this operation OVER and OVER on a regular basis. On some shipments we might need to print 12 or more extra box labels. We tape smaller boxes together for one UPS label and need to make sure EACH box gets a separate label. Otherwise they sometimes get lost on the other end.
Doing the save 4 separate PDFs process we might actually need TWO copies of Acrobat unless reader can print 4 on a page if it has 4 PDF’s to work from. I have not yet found a good way to save those snapshots from reader. I have tried since I found that it was possible to cut and save them in other formats but not PDF’s as reader can’t save them. The quality of the saved items in other formats is not acceptable. I recently discovered that Microsoft publisher which I have can save a document as a PDF. I’m going to see if I can import to that program next.
