Printing fails - maybe due to libdj1HPUtils.11.3.dylib plug-in?

When attempting to print to an HP Deskjet 5940 (Which has worked previously), the application I am trying to print from crashes. Although they all fail with a pop-up about reporting/ignoring/relaunching, he only app that gives any kind of info is Email:
"The application Mail quit unexpectedly. The problem may have been caused by the libdj1HPUtils.11.3.dylib plug-in"
I cannot find this plug-in on my machine.
Background. I was having problems with color quality printing, and re-loaded the driver before this started.
I have tied to uninstall and re-install the printer, but the problem remains.

Problem solved after another delete and install of the printer.

I use Apex 3.1 in Oracle Express edition develop few applications. In one of the application, when I enable report printing in stardard reports and try to print to PDF/Excel, the servlet error occur.
I had configured FOP in my server and I can download PDF in "interative report", but for stardard report, the report printing failed.
I can successfully print the reports in my others applications. Anyone know what could be the reason which cause an application failed to print the report.

Does your application name have special characters? I heard that the app name has to be just letters and numbers for this to work...actually testing right now.

HP Laserjet 1100 - print fails

I have an OLD HP Laserjet 1100 which I used to be able to print from fine on my old XP (SP2) machine. I have recently set the printer up on a new laptop running XP (SP3) using a parallel to USB converter. It's using the same drivers. However, now, whenever I try print I get an immediate message saying "Print failed". Doesnt give me a reason. Just won't print!! If there is anyone out there who can help me I'd appreciate it!

Hi there. This is funny, or sad really. I have the exxact problem. When it doesn't print it says this printer is not connected.
That just can't be. What about firmware? While nosing around the HP site I noticed it says firmware needs to be updated.
I'm not sure how to do this.

Printing of Net Due date in report output

hi Guru's,
I have to print the net due date which is printed in fbl1n, but the problem is the field FAEDT is comming from the structure and i am not able to print it.
The process is like this
Base line date + Payment Term = Net due date.
here the Payment Term is maintained in SAP code so how can i convert this so that i can do the above calculation.
Payment terms like (Z001,Z002,Z003) etc.

Build error 'CFURLGetFSRef failed - maybe the output directory doesn't exist?' Eclipse

I downloaded and installed the Adobe InDesign Plug-in Editor as an Eclipse distribution, the InDesign SDK and XCode on my iBook G4 with Mac OS X 10.4.10. Creating an InDesign project works fine. I only have to drag-and-drop elements on a form and add some actions.
Unfortunately, I can't get the Ant Build working. I followed the video-tutorials on the Adobe labs site, but I'm still getting this error:
CFURLGetFSRef failed - maybe the output directory doesn't exist?
The error seems to be in the "/Adobe InDesign CS3 Products SDK/devtools/bin/odfrc-cmd" file. I guess it's a SDK problem.
Does anyone know what the reason is for this error? And maybe how I can fix it?

PDF Printer fails to create document

I have Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 Standard and today suddenly I cannot create a PDF file from Word 2007. It will create PDF files of up to 5-6 pages but when I try the file that contains 657 pages it will only go to page 90 before I get this error message: Adobe PDF printer failed to create the PDF file.
I have tried this a couple of times (shut down computer in between each try) and every time I get the same error at the same page. The last attempt was 2 1/2 hours ago and I still have the little Acrobat icon turning circles in my toolbar. Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem?
I am working on a Dell Inspiron E1505 running Windows XP SP2. I bought Acrobat back in May and this is the first time I've had a problem with it.

Hi DJ, what is on page 90 (or 91) that is keeping the PDF printer from completing? Any half tones in any graphics? Any intense tables? Graphs?
Have you tried just making a PDF from that one page? Drill down to the page that is causing the problem, try removing one element at a time, printing to PDF, until you discover what one element is creating this issue.
We had some snow flakes with gradient half tones in one of our documents that was causing an issue much like you are experiencing.

Print Layout Designer:Due date in Delivery document

In print layout designer in 2005 version for Delivery document when they preview the document in document printing it compute an automatic due date but if the preview was done in the delivery document itself the due date is the same as posting date.
And as to delivery document in SAP no due date will be computed because due date will be determine upon invoice. But upon checking on their database, the same layout/template was used in the preview of the document in the delivery itself and in the document printing. The due date used in the layout was delivery due date.
They want to apply the scenario of having automatic computation of due date in Delivery document in the print layout designer in their 2007 version. All details created in the Print layout designer in 2005 version are defined already in their 2007 version but when the document was preview in document printing no computation of due date.
Is the layout used in the preview of delivery document itself was different when i used the document printing and select the same document and preview it? Is it possible to compute the due date in delivery document?

Yes, we already informed our customer that in delivery document no due date will be computed. To preview the document in document printing, select or highlight one transactions and click preview.
When we check the customer database and preview the delivery document itself the due date is
the same as posting date but when i preview the document in the document printing when you check the
field due date it was not the same as posting date.
We check the layout and the field is Database Delivery: Due date. The layout name was also the same when we preview
the transactions in delivery document itself and in the document printing.
Can someone tell me if the layout was different in the document printing window under Sales A/R module?

Printing fails on Epson C62 using OS 10.6 but successful using OS 10.4

When I tried to print a document using Gutenprint 5.2.3.99.1 as driver for my Epson C62 printing failed with a message: "The PPD version is not compatible with Gutenprint 5.2 3.99.1". I tried printing a jpeg photo and got the same message. I successfully printed the document and photo on another iMac using OS 10.4.11. This problem started after I upgraded from OS 10.5 to OS 10.6.
Please help.

You've probably tried, but their site suggests:
Q: I don’t see my printer driver on the Epson Macintosh Snow Leopard Support page. Where can I find a Mac OS 10.6.x driver for my product?
A: Try the following:
Rosetta needs to be installed in Snow Leopard. If necessary, install Rosetta.
Go to Drivers & Support, select your product category, then select your product name.
Select Drivers & Downloads, then select Macintosh Operating Systems from the drop-down list and click Go.
Download the Macintosh 10.5.x drivers for your product.
Note: If there are no Macintosh OS X 10.5.x drivers available for your product, download and install the Macintosh OS X 10.4.x drivers and the Common Updater software for your product.
Follow the on screen instructions to finish the driver installation.
Make sure Rosetta is intstalled.

I have the following eror when trying to print multiple emails to PDF in mail, does anyone have any idea how to resolve it?

I'm having this identical issue. Additional symptoms I've noted:
printing from Word or Excel produces a "Word could not communicate with the printer." or "Excel could not communicate with the printer." dialog box.
Printing from PowerPoint produces a "There was a printing problem. You may need to print again or adjust your printer settings."
Printing from Photoshop appears to work, but nothing ever comes out.
Printing from Safari produces a "Error while printing." dialog box. In the console, I get a log entry for Safari that reads "Printing failed because PMSessionBeginPageNoDialog() returned -30871."
Printing from TextEdit produces a "Error while printing." dialog box. In the console, I get a log entry for TextEdit that reads "Printing failed because PMSessionBeginCGDocumentNoDialog() returned -30870."
Switching "auth-info-required" from "negotiate" back to "username,password" throws up a username/password dialog box when printing - but printing works. Switching back to "negotiate" causes a printing failure again.
CUPS access_log shows a series of "Create-Job successful-ok" for everything attempted to be printed. Nothing in error_log or page_log.
Printing to a local or an IP printer works.

Acrobat X on OS X 10.6.8 Printing Fails

I am printing to an Epson Stylus Photo 280, and have installed the lastest Epson Printer Update 2.7 via software update.
Whenever I try and print the printer starts to make noise, but then the printing fails and I get the following error message every time:
"Error: /Library/Printers/Epson/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpll.app/contents/MacOS/rasteroes cpll failed"
I can print any PDF using preview, but nothing prints via Acrobat X. Any PDF I try instantly fails.
Does anyone have any ideas on this, as bascially this makes Acrobat X pretty useless.

You might see if there are any Epson user forums to finder other users of that printer.

Printer fail with Snow Leopard 10.6.1

I have two GCC Elite printers (XL 20/600 & XL 12/600) connected on our office network. Upgraded to Snow Leopard, got them to print by using LPD process but now find that printing fails intermittently if there are a number of files in the queue.
We are design studio, using Adobe CS4. The files are no bigger or detailed than when we were on Leopard.
Any ideas?

Hi TDCP - welcome to the forums.
Printer drivers have taken a hit with SL.
Unless you know for certain that your current drivers are fully compatible with SL, you may need to look for updates in that regard. Same goes for your Adobe products.

I solved this through the phone call help ( which cost me $25 ...) - there was some name colusion in the printer name - the rep basicallt uninstalled everything, did hard resent to all devices - printer, router and Mac, then installed the printer again under new name , seems to solve the problem .

Then add your CUPS server's IP address or hostname into /etc/cups/client.conf, after ServerName. That is all you need. Every application should quickly find the printer(s) shared by that CUPS server.
did not understand what am i suppose to write in the client.conf: 127.0.0.1 or my hostname (thegrid)
it says that later version on cups does not require to blocklist the usblp but i did anyways
but it didnt work

I have a Cannon PIXMA 280. My steps to install the drivers( may be help you ) :
$ sudo pacman -S cups ghostscript gsfonts
$ sudo pacman -S kdeutils-print-manager gutenprint */KDE.
$ sudo pacman -S system-config-printer gutenprint */GNOME.
$ sudo systemctl start cups.service

Dell C1760NW wireless print fail

Trying to get a Dell C1760nw printer to work wirelessly with OS10.6.8 laptops. Printer works fine via USB cable. It also connects and prints wirelessly via WinOS laptops, but not the Macs. Drivers are updated on all laptops. The printer firmware is updated via the WinOS laptops (no option to update the firmware via the MacOS units. grrrr).
Macs are configured for both the USB printer version and the network with IP address version, with both icons showing in the Mac printer list. MacOS seems to be connecting to the printer, because during a wireless print job attempt, the printer list icon shows a yellow "busy" light, and the text shows "Connecting to Printer with the spinning dial - it never makes the connection. The printer widget in the Doc shows a red error dot. If the print job is deleted, the printer icon status changes to green "idle" light.
Currently using the default Dell IP address for the wireless operation.
Router is Netgear N300 with WPA encryption.
Macs & Win units all successfully access the router for www and email.
The push button connection btw printer and router did not work, even for the WinOS laptops.
Printer setting report shows port9100. Is that an open port on the Mac? Where do I configure ports in OS10.6.8
Mac Firewall is on. Print sharing (and all other sharing) is disabled.
Mac can ethernet cable into the router to connect to printer via the Dell interface. Settings can be adjusted, but printing fails via ethernet - same as wireless.
Any ideas or experience?

Bit of an update:
The router successfully pings the printer as follows. Ethernet cable or wireless access via Safari from Mac laptop to the router IP address brings up the router interface. Use the router interface to ping IP address of the printer - it's a wireless ping, because the printer is not cabled to the router.
Router interface lists the printer's IP in the Attached Devices screen and identifies it as the Dell Printer.
Ping report shows 4 packets sent, 4 replys received. I think this, and the fact that the Win Laptops can print wirelessly is proof that the printer is definitely on the router's wireless network. Can anyone confirm?
Printer Report shows printer operating through port 9100 and all the other port status items are marked enable (LPD, WSD, SNMP/UPD, EWS)
Printer report also shows these Network items:
Bonjour (mDNS)=enabled
IP Filter=Off
SSid= correct network name
Network mode=Infrastructure
Wireless Status=Good
Link Chanel=6
Encryption=WPA-PSK-AES/WPA2-PSK-AES
Any thoughts? things to try?
Some 801.xxx mismatch between Mac & Router? (but the Mac connects to router for www and email)
Is a port not open on the Mac?
Is there a Link Channel setting on the Mac?
