Printing - No borderless

When I print to my Epson R1800 4 x 6 borderless I always get a border on the right and bottom of the print. I tired doing the calibration in the print dialog making the changes but it did not solve the problem. I still got a border (of about 1/4" or more) on the right and bottom of the print. Seem like the calibration did nothing.
Any ideas??
Thanks!
Sky.......

I don't know if you ever worked this out, but I was having the same problem with my Epson R800. Here's the settings that solved it.
In Aperture's Print Dialog:
Paper Size: 4x6 in (borderless) (Sheet Feeder-Borderless)
Orientation: Best Fit
Color Sync Profile: SPR800 Photo Paper (G)
Scale To: Fill Entire Page
Click on the Printer Settings button and in Epson's Print Dialog:
Paper Handling (on drop down list):
Destination Paper Size: Scale to Fit Paper Size: 4x6 in (borderless) (Sheet Feeder-Borderless)
Print Settings (on drop down list):
Premium Glossy Photo Paper
Advanced: Print Quality: Best Photo
Color Management (on drop down list):
Off (No Color Adjustment)
Hope that helps, and saves someone the time, paper, and frustration I went through until I figured it out.
Oh, and by the way, after I figured that out, I used the Calibrate button and printed a calibration sheet. I ended up with the following values for my printer:
Top: 19, Left 15, Right 14, Bottom 24

  • Re: HP7610 won't print 11X17 BORDERLESS

I have followed the instructions to print borderless on 11x17 from two software platforms:  Acrobat X and Revit 2015.  Each time, a portion of the page is printed, then "print cancelled" displays on the printer display and the page comes out half-done and the printer keeps printing half-done pages until I take the paper out and cancel the print.
    Thanks!

  • Iphoto 08 Will not print 4x6 borderless prints to HP 3210xi All In One

    Hi Folks,
I've just installed Iphoto 08 and upgraded to the latest version 7.1.2. I've also just installed the latest HP 9.7 Mac drivers released to support 10.5.2 on 2/4/08. However I can not get Iphoto 08 to print 4x6 borderless prints to my HP 3210xi All In One Photo Smart printer.
I'd appreciate any feedback/suggestions from anyone who is able to get Iphoto 08 to print properly.
    Jim

    Jim:
I don't have an solution but this printing problem with HD all in ones has been discussed many times. Do a search in this forum for HP All In One or HP 3210xi or other similar search terms and you'll find the various threads where it is discussed. I don't remember if a solution was found in any of them as I don't have an HP and didn't pay much attention.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Printing 4X6 Borderless Photos on Epson R200

For some reason, I am unable to print a borderless 4X6 photograph using my Epson R200 printer. All other photos print without any trouble, just not the borderless prints ... anyone have any suggestions?

I was having problems with an Epson Stylus Photo 890 after buying the 4x6 instead of the perforated 4x6 paper and received the following response from Epson tech support.
Thank you for contacting the Epson Connection.
For borderless printing in OS X.3 please follow the steps below to download
    and install:
    1) Open your PRINT SETUP UTILITY (you can open this by opening your HARD
DRIVE, APPLICATIONS, UTILITY, PRINTER SETUP UTILITY). Make sure your
printer is powered on at this point.
    2) If your printer is listed, simply highlight it and click DELETE. Once
the printer has been removed from the Print Center, click the ADD button.
If your printer is not listed, click the ADD button.
    3) In the window that appears, select EPSON USB from the drop-down menu,
and then select your printer. Once your printer has been selected, click on
    the name to highlight it.
    4) Once the printer is highlighted, a Page setup will appear at the bottom
of the print center window. Simply click the drop-down menu and select ALL.
**PLEASE NOTE: ALL MUST BE SELECTED FOR BORDERLESS PRINTING SUPPORT. **
    Then click ADD.
    5) You will now see several listings in the Printer list for the printer.
Highlight the appropriate printer for your printing. For example, Stylus
Photo 900(Roll paper) or Stylus Photo 900(Sheet Feeder-Borderless)
depending on what type of media you are selecting. Then click MAKE DEFAULT
on the toolbar or click PRINTERS on the menu and click MAKE DEFAULT. Close
    the Print Center.
    6) Please ensure you have the correct paper size selected in the printer
driver under PAGE SETUP and that the correct printer option is selected in
the menu listed under FORMAT FOR(these two must be the same, if the Sheet
Feeder-Borderless is the default printer, if must be the same in this
Format for option) and try printing.
If you require further assistance with this particular issue, please ensure
all of our previous correspondence is contained in your reply, so we can
better track the history of this issue.
If you have a different technical support issue, please submit another
E-form via our website (http://www.epson.com), and we will respond in a
timely manner. Thank you again for contacting Epson.

  • Printing a borderless 12x12 with the Pixma iX6520

Is there anyway to be able to make a borderless 12x12 print with the Canon Pixma i6520? I can easily print a borderless 13x19 - but it will not let me set up a borderless 12x12.

Hi lowagirl, When Borderless Printing mode is set, the page size setting is not available; borderless printing is limited to preset sizes for the selected media type.  More information on borderless printing can be found here.

I have HP Deskjet 1660 printer. When I want to print 4x6 bordeless photo there is still a border on the bottom of photo. Tried many times with no success.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The Deskjet 1660 cannot print full borderless on all 4 sides, there is a bottom margin of ~0.46".  To get a borderless print use "4x6in photo paper with tabs" such as here.  That paper has a microperf removable 1/2" tab that is removed after printing leaving a clean 4x6 borderless print.

  • 6x4 printing not borderless via Canon ip5200R

    Help
I am trying to print 6x4 prints from iPhoto 5 to my new Canon ip5200r printer.
I have selected the borderless option and the correct paper but the preview and actual preint still as half an inch either side in landscape of white. The photo also look a little smaller. Checked settings but cannot find why it is doing this.
If I use the Canon program it prints borderless perfect prints.
By the way, the Canon ip5200r is fantastic. Brilliant results and it is also wireless.

    Hi Paul,
I've just bought this printer (I thought it was going to by white to match my imac, never mind) and after setting it up, the first thing I tried was 4x6 from iphoto.
I had the same problem, then I tried cropping the photo first and reprinting it. Now I only get a white bar to one side. Not what I want or you want but it's a step closer. I guess playing around with the settings should do it, if I sort it out I post a message.
If you sort it out please let me know, I don't want to wast too much paper!

  • Issue on borderless printing using android HP ePrint app with HP LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw

    Hi,
I am trying to print a pdf document which is of A4 size (11.7 x 8.3 inches without any borders) from android tablet using HP ePrint app along with the printer HP Laserjet Pro 200 color M251nw. When it is printed on A4 sheet, it adds the border on all the sides around 12mm-left, 11mm-right, 8mm-top, 9.5mm-botton margins.
On the printer the firmware datecode shows 20121026, Also the ePrint app which I am using is latest and upto date.
Please let me know how to print the borderless print in A4 sheet.
    Regards,

    Hello revlib,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Turning off the Wireless Direct on the LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw should have disabled the SSID from broadcasting. Since disabling from the front display did not resolve, let us try from the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
To access the EWS you need to enter the I.P address for the M251nw into the address bar of your web browser. The I.P address can be collected by touching Setup ()> Reports> Network Summary.
Once in the EWS, click Network> Wireless Direct Setup> select Off and Apply.
Let me know if this has help

  • Help - need to print borderless 8x10

I am trying to print a borderless 8x10 pic from my iMac to my Canon i900d printer. I've done it before, but it's been awhile and now every time I try to print I get a 2mm border all around the picture. Again, I want the pic to be borderless, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
    Michael

    Welcome to the forums!
You don't give any detail - what, exactly, you are doing (keystrokes, etc.), which program you're trying to print from (KN or PP), and what your settings are, so I'll guess: you're trying to print from KN. When you try to PRINT, in the window which appears you have checked "Slides with Notes". Those notes, even if there's nothing written there, are probably what's taking away space from the slide on your print-out. Instead, check "Individual Slides" (you should see the results of this reflected in the example print-out on the left: the slide should now take up most of the page, rather than just the upper portion of it). To make your slide even a bit bigger, make sure "Use page margins" (under OPTIONS) is unchecked.
If I've guessed wrong, or my solution doesn't work, come back with more details.
    Good presentation!

  • In elements 12 how to print borderless on custom paper size

how do I get rid of margins on custom paper printing so the print is borderless?

    Paul,
I have an older version of PSE, but I doubt that they have changed the print dialog.
In Editor, go to File>Print, and on the bottom of the screen there is "More Options". Click on that to get to the "Custom Print Size" tab.. Check "Scale to Fit Media." Does that work?
Have a look at the "Printing Choices" tab as well. Is everything unchecked under "Border?"

  • Problem printing borderless PDF w/ Snow Leopard + Acrobat Pro 9 + MS Office

Create a borderless Word doc in MS Office 2008 (text or images go all the way to the edge).
Using OS X 10.5, you can select "Print to PDF" and it will print a borderless PDF. Beautiful.
Using OX X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), that's now impossible because Snow Leopard is incompatible with the Acrobat 9 PDF print engine. (See this article: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.html )
    Is there a solution?
This is a Snow Leopard problem, so Apple must be responsible for the solution. It worked beautifully with 10.5, and now an upgrade renders it entirely useless.
    Please help urgently.

I use US Letter and A4 page sizes frequently, but have been known to use other sizes as well. A custom hack would be great, thank-you.
Download CUPS-PDF from the link above. Download my PPD file with borderless A4 and US Letter from: http://etresoft.org/opensource/PostscriptBorderless.zip
Copy the PPD file somewhere convenient on your system. Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax > + (to add a printer).
Select CUPS-PDF. In the Print Using pop-up, select "Other" and choose my PPD file. Click the Add button.
Now when you print to CUPS-PDF, you will be able to select borderless A4 and borderless US letter. Your PDF files will show up in /Users/Shared/CUPS-PDF/<your user account>/
Although the underlying issue still remains.
That Adobe's PDF Printer doesn't work? Yes. I agree.
(To be honest, I think both of the companies should be working on solutions as urgently as possible as it's disrespectful to their long-term customers.)
Again, I agree. While I am certainly biased towards Apple, in most cases (and especially this case), it is Adobe that needs to get their act in gear. Snow Leopard was released over a year ago. Adobe had pre-release copies long before that. Their PDF printer still doesn't work. Some random guys on the internet (the authors of CUPS-PDF for MacOS X and me) were about to make the 5 minute (no exaggeration!) changes required to produce a functional virtual printer for Snow Leopard. Why can't Adobe?
Feel free to forward that to Adobe http://www.adobe.com/bin/webfeedback.cgi

  • Printing borderless 4 x 6 photos from iPhoto on HP C7280 All-In-One?

I'm trying to help a friend with a printing problem and can use some help.
My friend uses a Macbook Pro running the latest version of OSX. He has a Hewlett Packard C7280 All-In-One as his printer.
My friend Joe likes to print 4 x 6 borderless photos from iPhoto but can't seem to make it work. Each time he tries to print a 4 x 6 borderless photo the photo comes out on 8.5 x 11 paper. The filled photo paper tray does not engage. He has "told" the printer that he wants 4 x 6 borderless on photo paper by making the appropriate selections.
This problem does not occur if he prints the pictures using HP Printing Solutions, the photo management application that came with the printer. When he uses the HP application he gets what he wants, 4 x 6 borderless prints.
I suspect that there is some setting currently unknown to us that needs to be adjusted in either OSX or iPhoto to enable us to print 4 x 6 borderless pictures in the same way we can with the HP photo management application.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks so much.

    Hello John,
I don't have any HP, I use Canon, but if I give you the steps I need to take from iPhoto 09 to print borderless 4 x 6, then you may be able to apply this to your friends printer.
In the iPhoto 09 print dialog, I need to select:
    Printer: Canon MP980
    Presets: Photo on Photo Paper
    Paper Size: 4"x6" (borderless)
    Print Size: Borderless
Now when you press Print, the print dialog will appear. Here I have to select Presets again and set to Photo on Photo Paper. I then change the iPhoto menu to the Canon quality menus to set additional information about the image quality. Now it is ready to print.
