Problem about c++ compiler in intel computer

we used forte c++ compiler (version 6) under solaris on intel computer
but I can't find the misalign or align debug option flags about the CC
and when the program exit, there are errors reported:no map at the fault address
stoped at the delete statement releasing the memory
but not all delete statement report error
the same code works well on sparc station
I want to know if it is the problem of byte align
and how can I set the CC complier to align or misalign(can't find it in the CC -help)

The default location for the Sun C++ compiler is
/opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC
You can download it from
http://www.sun.com/forte/cplusplus/buy.html
The GNU C++ is free - download it from
http://sunfreeware.com/
(Or in your Solaris 8 companion CD)
No, there is no standard C++ compiler in the core Solaris packages.

  • Continuing problems about JSP compilation...

I have two problems that I can't solve about JSP:
              - my JSPs aren't recompiled when I modify them
I've got to redeploy the entire webApp for the
              modification to be updated.
              - the precompilation of my JSPs fails
I've got the common NullPointerException in JSP2Java.makeReader
I'm working in the deployed directory way, with a WL6.0sp2...
My xml files seem to be correct and the clocks of the different machines are synchronized.

While trying to restore os x and erase content on my MacBook pro, some problem about voice software came up and the computer asked me to restart and try again by clicking restart button. When I did this, the machine went to a gray start up screen with an apple and will not progress. I've waited more than 30 minutes and tried restarting again by holding the power button. Also, restore cd 1 will not eject so the computer will no longer move past the gray screen with spinning circle. Restore CDs had never beeused and were still in packaging in the original box. Ran hardware test just to check, and it came back as normal. Now what? I live nowhere near a genius bar :(

computer asked me to restart and try again by clicking restart button.
    That's called a kernel panic...
Since the install disc won't eject, try starting up while holding down the C key. If the Mac won't boot while holding down the C key, try ejecting disc by either holding down the mouse while starting up or holding down the Eject key while starting up.
Try booting from your install disc so you can run Disk Utility in case the startup disk needs repairing.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
(In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first from the installer menu)
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your startup disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. Make sure there is always 15% free space.

  • Problem with moving itunes to new computer

I recently bought a new computer and when i downloaded Itunes some of my songs did not come through complete. About 50 songs in my library will randomly stop playing in the middle of the song and move on to the next song. I downloaded the latest version of itunes.  When I go to my library and play a defective song if i force it to fast forward it will play the remaining part of the song so the music is there. So far the only solution to my problems is an expensive one. only thing I can think of to do is delete the affected songs and pay to redownload them. Is there another way to resolve this issue? When I first noticed the problem itunes did let me redownload 3 songs for free then when I went to do it again ( because I have alot a music and haven't discovered ALL the defective songs yet. I cant find them till they play and I notice it) but when I went to redownload song I already paid for they wanted to charge me again.

    Thanks for your advice.
Unfortunately it did not solve the problem.
I’m now convinced that my problem is related to the Intel Viiv Technology.
In an article at tweakdown.com, http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/937/index.html , they proclaim that if you have a computer with Intel Viiv Technology "you’re locked out of iTunes".

  • Problem about updating to Mac OS X 10.5.3

    Hi there,
I just bought my Macbook two months ago. I encounted a problem about updating it to the latest version of MAC OS X. The system reminded me to restart, I proceed. Everythig looked just fine until a poping up window shown "Mac OS X 10.5.3 pacakage can not be validated". Dose anyone know what did that mean? How can I update my little mac?

    Hi Hummer,
    First, welcome to Apple discussions.
To answer your question, your computer checks all downloaded updates before installing them. It does this to make sure it's got the entire file and that the update will install correctly. The fact that validation fails on your machine probably means the file did not download correctly.
To install 10.5.3, simply go to this website, download the "10.5.3 combo update" and then run it on your Mac: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

  • Hardware diagnostic shows me a problem about charging battery. What about it ?

    Hi.
I bought a MacBook Pro retina 13', mid 14. on last december, and after almost a month I did the hardware test of apple as the Technic support says, and this hardware test shows me a problem about charging battery, so, I wanna know what about it, is it normal ? or is it a battery problem or is it a problem about the Current adaptador ? Thank your for your answers.

Could be battery, could be adaptor, could be the computer itself.  You will have to take it in for testing.  Fortunately, you are still under warranty.

  • Hello i have a problem when i start woorksheet, my computer crash with blue screen sometimes.

hello i have a problem when i start woorksheet, my computer crash with blue screen.
    OS: Win 2000 pack 2 and dasylab 7.00.05 ;ddi7.02 ;nidaq 7.0
I hve this problem sometimes and need to reebot my computer. This worksheet is used to generate 4 signals to output and have an acquisition tooin this 4 channels.
    The error is in the blue screen:0x00000076 (0x00000000 , 0x81358300, 0x000001c2, 0x00000000).
    Thanks for your help.

The DASYLab development team has read your message, and advises that there is insufficient information to be able to even start diagnosing the problem. We suggest that you send a note directly to [email protected], with your full contact information, DASYLab serial number, and the following technical information:
-The Help-->Report information - this will tell us more about the computer, video and installed memory
-Installed hardware - what DAQ devices are you using (exact models!)
-The worksheet that crashes - we need to see how the timing is configured in the worksheet
-What other programs are running at the same time?
-Does the worksheet crash every time?
-Does the NI-DAQ Test Panel work correctly for both inputs and outputs?
Sorry that we cannot be more help in this forum; we do not have much experience with blue screen under Windows 2000. This is very hard to do, and is almost always related to a hardware problem - either a resource conflict, or problems with one of the installed hardware devices (DAQ, Video, Memory...).

Then there's of course the config, it's based on kernel26 at the moment,.
I'm building it now, to test. I had to install icc manually because the AUR package for icc didn't work for me. I had to install icc manually (run the installer), but that wasn't enough. Before makepkg, you have to add the icc to $PATH e.g.
    PATH=$PATH:/opt/intel/Compiler/11.1/064/bin/intel64
and execute iccvars_intel64.sh which is in that folder.

Ashren wrote:So there is a significant performance gain with ICC? Compilation time wise or?
icc kernel compiles in similar time as gcc kernel, or if there any differences these may be negligible. To be honest I was not really interested in compiling times (was doing somethig else as it takes ~12 min on my system to finish kernel compilation), but rather with overall kernel performance. This is not the same as OS performance, but I am planning to compile firefox with icc and maybe some other stuff (if I am bored enough).
If you have 32-bit OS (I have no idea how it will work on 64-bit), try it. I can't post PKGBUILD for 32-bit icc kernel because I don't use PKGBUILD for kernels or nvidia as I have found it limiting/cumbersome/unnecessary (while PKGBUILDs work great for anything else on Arch).
The only part really annoying is intel server speed. Downloading icc sources (710MB for 32-bit only) tahes two hours. If you try to get 32/64bit sources even longer (1GB download).
32-bit icc PKGBUILD package requires only one modification related to Release Notes otherwise makepkg will fail. Once installed export icc path, edit kernel Makefile and change one line related to compiler: change gcc to icc. You can also add some compiling optimizations.
Pretty easy if you did compile kernel before.
    note added:
actually combination of icc and zen seems to have nice effect on desktop responsiveness (this is 2.6.33)

  • A problem about gcc

I installed Solaris8 x86 on my PC successfully, including software companion CD, which was installed under /opt.
Following was added in .profile :
    PATH=/opt/sfw/bin:$PATH
Then I created two programs in a subdirectory:
    C code, HelloWorld.c, compiled using gcc, run ./a.out, everything OK;
C++ code, HelloWorld.cc, compiled using g++, ./a.out was generated, it seemed ok. But when I tried to run ./a.out, got following error message:
    $ ./a.out
ld.so.1: ./a.out: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such file or directory
    Killed
The same C++ HelloWorld compiled and run good on another Sparc/Solaris7.
Anybody can tell me what the problem is and how to solve it?

I enter a problem about gcc,I installed solaris 10,and then login with root user,I want to use gcc,
    #pwd
    #gcc
but I find there is no gcc,A better way to find gcc is to:
    grep gcc /var/adm/install/contents
On a Solaris system if you install the developer or greater cluster then gcc should be installed into:
    /usr/sfw/bin
so you can start by just checking there.
    PATH=$PATH:/opt/gnome/bin:/usr/local/bin:/opt/netscape:/usr/ccs/bin
export PATH I'm not sure why you would need /opt/gnome or /opt/netscape but whatever.
1 how can i know root user use sh or csh user?Look at the /etc/passwd file.
2 I can't find .profile or .cshrc file in / directory, where are they? Which directory should I create profile or .cshrc file? After I create profile or .cshrc file, which command I can run to make profile or .cshrc file go function? Need I reboot the solaris system?By default root doesn't have one so just create using vi.
    vi /.profile
    Thanks in advance!regards,

  • Problem about Mac Os X 10.6.3 V.S Labview 2009

    hi,labview~
i have some problem about Labview 2009.i saw the website of NI wrote the Labview 2009 is not support for Mac OSX 10.6.3,but i have already installed it (English system) in my computer successfully.
anyway,i cant open the programs which are wrote by labview 8.5(Japanese system) .My labmate who use Labview 2009(Mac OSX 10.5) can open those programs.
can anyone tell me the possible reason i cant open the programs?
    Thanks a lot!
PS i have already tried Labview 8.5 and 8.6(English system),but the problem cant be solved....

Hi mofi, my name is Taiki from National Instruments Japan.
I assume that the link you referred to is the one below, but as you stated, LabVIEW 2009 is not supported in Mac OS X 10.6 so even though you were able to install it successfully, NI cannot assure that it will fully function on your Mac.
LabVIEW Support for Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and 10.5 (Leopard)
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/70F17A30DE7B865E8625737F006377F8?OpenDocument
Since you mentioned that the VI files were able to be opened on LabVIEW 2009, Mac OS X 10.5, the actual VI files should not be the issue which leaves us with the possibility of the software environment.
You also noted that the issue could not be solved on LabVIEW 8.5 and 8.6 but was this on Mac OS X 10.6 as well?
If so, there is a good chance that this issue is due to the fact that LabVIEW is running on an supported OS and I would suggest trying opening the files on another different Mac OS X 10.5 system.
Unfortunately, currently Mac OS X 10.6 is an unsupported OS for any version of LabVIEW so I can only suggest trying on a Mac OS X 10.5.
    Kind regards.

  • Problem with creating site from another computer!

    Hi
I have WebDB 2.2 and Oracle8i instaled on the same computer. I have a problem to create site from another computer. There is not any process when I try to create site. There is always 0%.
But I have no problem with creating site on the origin computer.
Does anybody know something about it?

I am just not clear what to do once I have made changes and have published the new information.
You shouldn't have to do anything. iWeb will save the information in the Domain.sites file. You can keep this file in a folder, or even on your desktop and iWeb will launch from a double-click on the file.
