Problem about Tomcat4.1.12 and Servlet

After Tomcat4.1.12 installed,running the servlet examples which kept in the webapps\examples\web-inf\classes, it ran fine. but when i copied the classes directory totally to webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF(default path for servlet in tomcat4.1.12)�� it could not run.
How can i do this ?

Problem about writing txt file and utl_put_line

After some research on the internet I found the way how to writre files from Oracle 11g to a txt file.
I read that utl_put_line only holds 32k per line and adds a new line at the end of each row but my problem it´s that if I want to open the file with SQL Server :D it doesn't recognize the CRLF so there is no end line and the last column has the data from the next row. The files are created on Linux so if I open them on Windows i have to convert into DOS format but if I try to open that file with Excel everything works fine, so I was wondering if there is a limit of columns or number of characters that can be on a txt file.

As you can see I write the column names first and with a loop I add the data, so I can have a very large column at the end.
How can I add the CRLF at the end of each line to have it working with Windows?

Oracle is simply passing a string of characters to the OS to be written to a file in the host OS's native text format. That format is different from Windows and nix. Windows will append a CR-LF pair to the end of the provided character string, as its end-of-record delimiter. nix will append only a CR (or is it LF?) as its end-of-record delimiter. This is purely and OS issue that Oracle knows or cares nothing about. It is also something that must always be kept in mind when passing files between *nix and Windows.

Problem about ZHT32EUC encoding database and JDBC clients

We have encountered a problem with the following configuration:
Oracle Database Server
AIX
Oracle 8.1.7 - ZHT32EUC character encoding
Clients are Java Applet/Servlet/JSP/EJB, as well as an other
ZHT32EUC database for some data import/export (abbr as OLD).
the problem we have is, no matter what we had set (the NLS_LANG
environment variable) on the Java clients, we cannot read the
ResultSet.getString() with the DB link and imported data from
the OLD correctly. However, with the data we inserted with our
own Java clients, it can be read flawlessly with JDBC calls.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hard to tell, as you are not providing a lot of details. What is
the OS that your other database is on. What are you actually
setting NLS_LANG to? Are you using Oracle's JDBC driver or
someone elses? Please describe? Which driver, OCI or thin
driver? I would advise you to use the dump command to look at
the data. I suspect you have not loaded the data properly to the
database.

The Firefox made me mad because cant do a simple job : download a XML file. I have a big XML file that crash Firefox when try to open it,
so download may be best choice but always Firefox start to show XML files. what is the solution?

File adapter cant understand the format the file is,so we have to declare the content convertion parameters.

Problems about linking the skype and the microsoft

My skype account cannot link to the microsoft account(Before this, I already unlinked the original skype and microsoft) . When I logon the skype with my microsoft account, I found that there is an another skype account and this account is useless for me. Now I just want to delete the useless skype account of the microsoft and then link the original skype to the microsoft. What do I do to relink those accounts?

The sequence you should be using is:
1) start the listener, which will monitor the network for database requests
lsnrctl start
2) start and open the database, which will also register back to the listener. Could be done by a properly configured OEM DBConsole, or command line
sqlplus / as sysdba
startup
exit
3) If database started before listener, then you could register the database manually
sqlplus / as sysdba
alter system register;
exit
4) Verify that the listener knows about the database and will handle requests for the database
lsnrctl status
and check the output whether the database service is recognized.

Problems about financial reporting studio and planning

Here are two problems:
1. after i have installed the fr client in my pc,when i connect to the server,it promot an error infomation as follow:

2. When i create a new rule under business rules folder in Essbase Administration Servers,i select the outlin,but only the Essbase applications i can choose in the "avilable server",there is no Planning applications.

What's the version of Hyperion that you are using?
For the first issue, if this is working in somebody else's pc, I would be suspected by your pc's security/java settings.
For the second issue you mentioned below is possible answers:
1. You can't write business rules against EPMA apps in AAS. Use calcmanager instead.
2. Login to planning with your user name, launch a form, go back to AAS and try again.
3. Make sure you've got access to write rules in AAS.

Problems desiging a post midlet and servlet

I have tried a few vriants if a post midlet up to know with limited sucess. I cannot get the servlet to recognise it has received something from a midlet. Everytime i return the store value for the midlet post back to the midlet I get a null value amongst the actual result.
The worst part of it is I can type any string in my box which will be sent but is not received in my servlet. Can anyone help please it is urgent.

Even on the emulator WTK 2.0 it returns a null. I am running a local server with tomcat 4.1 and the servlet gives me a 405 error if I use the reference implementation explained by Eric Guigure. I am not sure what to do. How do I enable tomcat to take parameters from my midlet
I am using the servlet.jar in the tomcat folder and I am using java 1.4.1 I am not sure as to how it works.

IDOCs are used to direct communicate between two systems, sometime there may be a middleware(like XI) involved.
Why do you want to save the data to applications server then?

Help me , there is a problem about xcontrol's property and method vi!

we know xcontrol's property or method is a vi actually when we create them.
we are also sure there are two ways(static and dynamic way) for invoking a vi at least.
So when we evaluate xcontrol by property node or execute method through method node, does labview dynamically invoke the property or method vi ? if labview dynamically invokes them,does owner vi wait them done or not?

What you could do is create a pumping scheme, that pumps the data into the Facade VI and handle the number crunching there, however that would block the execution of events in the facade VI.

Problem about enabling GL Drawing.Any help,please?

Installed PhotoshopCS5 trial on laptop Vaio , XP Pro, service pack 3.
When setting preferences found that in Performance window, section GPU is dimmed and can not activate Enable GL Drawing .
The message in Description area is that Graphics hardware is not available and I need to upgrade video driver, possibly card.
Did try to find what video card is present in the laptop but the only info found in Search is that DirectX is installed plus number of files with odd names (I am not a techie).
So, I have no idea what video card is installed and what needs to be updated…
Is there any solution to this problem about enabling GL Drawing and what is it?
My trial time is running out and any simple to understand advise is appreciated!

Problem About J2EE RI and PetStore Demo

I have a problem about j2ee & petstore.
I trird to set up sun j2ee RI 1.3.1 + pet store on win2000 or redhat.
Everything run ok. But when I changed web port 8000 to any port (included
80),
j2ee ri server showed the error message below :

I dont know how useful my reply would be since the question was posted about 2 yrs back, but just wanted to reply in case somebody faces the same problem.
If you change the web port to some other port (other than 8000) then please check the sun-j2ee-ri.xml files. Actually the CatalogDAOSQL.xml is read using a url which includes the port you are running the server on. So, you need to change the port even in the sun-j2ee-ri.xml file.
One of the sun-j2ee-ri.xml files, where you need to make the change is in the $PETSTORE_HOME/src/apps/petstore/src/sun-j2ee-ri.xml file.
Other one is in $PETSTORE_HOME/src/apps/supplier/src/sun-j2ee-ri.xml file.
Look for other sun-j2ee-ri.xml files where the url is hardcoded. (I think the two sun-j2ee-ri.xml files mentioned above, are the only places you need to make the change, but still look for other files in case i have missed)
Change those urls and redeploy the ears.

I need some detail solutions and suggests about below these problems:
Problem 1: SAP Management Console cannot start successfully
     Problem 1.1: Click on SAP Management Console, but yellow light continues for a long period of time.
     Problem 1.2: In DOS, startsap command cannot start SAP R/3.
     Problem 1.3: Oracle 9i database automatically shutdown by itself.
     Problem 1.4: There is very low disk storage left (say less than 50MB) in the hard disk where Oracle 9i database is installed in the server.
Problem 2: Problems in User Maintenance and Security of the SAP R/3 System
     Problem 2.1: Super user account password was lost (e.g. SAP* password was lost)
     Problem 2.2: Super users DDIC and SAP* were dropped in table usr02 in Oracle.
     Problem 2.3: Some users have been locked or deleted by an ABAP programmer who has been granted with almost superuser profiles. For example, an ABAP programmer has been granted a profile of SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW but the system administrator would like to restrict all programmers form using SU01, SU02, SM01, so that no programmers can maintain other user's accounts.
Problem 3: Problems in the configuration of client copy
     Problem 3.1: A copied client from the Client 000 cannot be customized.
     Problem 3.2: No sample data in IDES after a successful client copy.
     Problem 3.3: Logging on without being authorized. A new client is created and client copied and transported successfully. However, anyone can log into the system using user SAP* with the default password PASS.
Problem 4: Problems in the installation of SAP R/3 Server
     Problem 4.1: Computer Name of the SAP R/3 server has been changed after the full installation of Oracle 9i and SAP R/3.
     Problem 4.2: A network card of a server was faulty and it was replaced by a new network card but the SAP R/3 license was expired.
     Problem 4.3: You would like to reinstall SAP R/3 on a server which has previously installed with SAP R/3 but the same error message appears during the re-installation.
Problem 5: Problems in the backup and recovery of Oracle 9i Database
     Problem 5.1: A redo log file was lost and the database could not be started.
     Problem 5.2: A group of data files were accidentally deleted and the database could not be started.
     Problem 5.3: Both the online redo log files and archived redo log files have been damaged.
Problem 6: General problems regarding the general operations and the connection to the SAP R/3 System
     Problem 6.1: After a reboot of the Windows 2003 Server, SAP service is not automatically started.
     Problem 6.2: Some users complained that the performance of SAP R/3 is really very slow.
     Problem 6.3: A user complained that his/her password was correct but he/she could not lock on the client because it was locked.

2.1 If user account of the sap* is lost u can retrive by loging into os level as sidadm type this command
DELETE SAP<sid>.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*' AND MANDT=100
This 100 is the client in which u want to delete the sap*
after that restart the server and login as sap* with the default password as pass

If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.

I have been struck with the problem about "UnsatisfiedLinkError". I have a c++ class HelloWorld with a method hello(), and I want to call it from within a java class. In fact, I have succeeded in calling it on the windows platform. But when I transfer it to linux, the error "UnsatisfiedLinkError" comes out. I have tried to take the measures as Forum has suggested, but it failed.
The source code is very simple to demonstrate JNI.
