Problem downloading eprint to cp1025nw

My new CP1025nw is installed wirelessly and works fine.
When I try to install e-print to my printer, the setup finds the device, but eprint download fails.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I would suggest you to temporary plug the printer with USB and then try to install the firmware upgrade.
Please let me know if it helps,
Shlomi

  • Problem creating an ePrint account (for Photosmart 5510)

    Hi
    Looking for guidance on email addresses and ePrint accounts
    I tried to create an ePrint account for my new Photosmart 5510, using the link supplied by the setup software.  This took me to an account creation form, where I duly entered my real name, screen name, personal email address, password and notification options, then clicked on the big blue button ... up popped a red square with a white cross by the email address, and a notification box saying "Email already exists" and an invitation to sign in to that account.
    Oh well, I did have an HP printer 12 years ago, so perhaps the registration was retained.  I tried logging in to that account with the email address that ePrint reckoned already existed, and clicked 'Forgot Password'.  This brought up the 'Forgot your password' dialogue box, asking for the email address associated with the account.  I entered the email address again, and this brought up an alert box, telling me to 'Enter the email address associated with your account', apparently not liking what I'd just entered.  So I'm stuck.
    After looking on the forum for login problems, I tried using Safari (rather than Firefox) and also submitting my email at snapfish and asking for a password reminder.  Also unsuccessful - same results in Safari as Firefox, and snapfish gave a java resource error.
    I got round the problem by using someone else's email address in the ePrint account creation - this then let me enter the email address of the printer, which it had correctly auto-populated with the alphanumeric code provided by the printer.
    Now I can log in to my ePrint account, and ePrint works, but I would like to switch the account email address to be my own address.  Although I can access the ePrint account settings page, I'm wary of changing the account email address in case it rejects the change and possibly leaves me unable to revert to the initial email account.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi alan;
    This is a 404 error which means that the server recieved could not find the requested file, which I dought to be accurate, because not everybody will be having this issue, I will change the DNS of your network to the Google public DNS server becuase DNS resolution issue can be confuse with this errors by the system. and this can the case this time.
    Try using Google DNS servers have proven to be accurate.
    To do so in Windows;
    Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, clicking Network and Sharing Center, and then clicking Manage network connections.
    Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties.
    To specify an IP address, click Use the following IP address, and then, in the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway boxes, type the IP address settings.
    Google DNS servers are
    8.8.8.8 Primary
    8.8.4.4 Secondary.
    Try that and le tme know the outcome I will keep looking on my end. I have been trying to find out if there an issue I have not be able to find anything useful but I will keep digging
    Hope this helps;

  • Having problems printing using ePrint from email with an SMTP transmission failure

    I am having a problem printing from my Apple devices (iPhone, iPad (both running iOS 5), Mac Book Pro and iMac (Lion)) from my Mobile me account (Apple's @me.com mail). My printer is a D110a and is up-to-date. The return error message I'm getting is attached. The printer is working fine as a wireless printer but whenever I try to email something to the ePrint printer address (@hpeprint) I get this message. While I wasn't a heavy user of emailing to this printer, I did have it working. I'm very discouraged by all of the postings I've found on very similar if not identical problems that others are having ... Please help! Your message cannot be delivered to the following recipients:  Recipient address: [email protected]  Reason: SMTP transmission failure has occurred  Diagnostic code: smtp;550 5.7.1 Command rejected  Remote system: dns;email.hpeprint.com (TCP|17.148.16.96|51538|15.201.224.75|25) (hpeprint.com ESMTP Postfix) Original-envelope-id: [email protected] Reporting-MTA: dns;asmtp021-bge351000.mac.com (tcp-daemon) Arrival-date: Tue, 13 Dec 2011 15:27:06 +0000 (GMT) Original-recipient: rfc822;[email protected] Final-recipient: rfc822;[email protected] Action: failed Status: 5.7.1 (SMTP transmission failure has occurred) Remote-MTA: dns;email.hpeprint.com (TCP|17.148.16.96|51538|15.201.224.75|25) (hpeprint.com ESMTP Postfix) Diagnostic-code: smtp;550 5.7.1 Command rejected initions=main-1112130128

    I cannot say if this is a supported path or not, but I have a few thoughts about what you are doing. I have done a few prototypes that would send emails programatically to eprint printers.
    1. do you recieve the email if you send it to a different address (your email address) - you said the email is making it out of the server, but does it make it to destinations.
    2. can you try this with your own printer that has an hp connected account? this would make it easier to troubleshoot.
    3. hpconnected has the idea of open to anyone or allowed senders only. depending on how your customer has their printer setup, you could be blocked by the service because of those settings. with those options, they also have the option to block users or allow users to either of those settings.
    3a. login to hpconnected.com, select devices, look at the device being printed to, and there is a column for ePrint Access that will say 'Allowed Senders Only' or 'Open to Anyone'. going to the settings for a printer will give more details about these settings, and allow you to manage blocked / allowed users.
    More info under 'Manage ePrint Preferences' on this doc:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03550522&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en
    4. I believe that in hpconnected, you can look at collections and it will show all recieved jobs - which would allow them to be printed again. I think this will list received jobs from email.

  • Problem logging into ePrint center - can't retrieve password

    I set up an ePrint account recently and now I can't log in to my account.
    I tried using the forgot password link but it does not send me anything. I sent a test email to my printer and it worked. I also tried to re-register using my email address and it says there is an existing account.
    Is the system down?

    More likely you have used Snapfish to create your ePrint Center account for the first time, therefore you will have to use the Snapfish Login:
    From the Sign In page, click the Snapfish icon:
    Try logging in from the popup screen.
    If the logon still fails, Click the Forgot password link withing the Snapfish popup window.
    You will be redirected to the Snapfish forgot password page. provide the email address and click OK.
    Now try logging in using the Snapfish logon using the newly provided password.
    Please let me know if that helps,
    Shlomi

    Hello Mommommary,
    I'm sorry to hear that you are having this issue but here is a solution that may help(Cant Login to ePrintCenter)
    1. No the hp passport and the ePrintCenter account information are separate systems. Unless when you created the ePrintCenter account you used the same username and password you used to create the hp passport.

  • Server Connection Problem - connecting to ePrint

    Hi,  I've just purchased a new HP Photosmart 5515 printer.  I've connected it to my PC over wireless successfully. My PC is fully connected to the internet.  There is no network involved. I cannot get the ePrint function working.  When I select the ePrint button on the printer I get the following message - 'Server Connection Error'.  I am requested to 'Enter Proxy'.  I cannot fing any instruction how to set proxy seettings to get this operational.  Could you please assist me with this problem.  Many thanks

    I hope you are doing well and welcome to the HP forum;
    In order to take advantage of all the features the ePrint service has to offer, your ePrint-enabled HP printer must be directly connected to a network with an active Web connection. You need and router or Access point which is reffer to as  an infrastructure network,  If you have not installed your product on a network, select your product from the following list to review complete network installation instructions.
    If you complete the previously mentioned steps you can do this after to set your printer with an static (non changing) IP Address and google dns public servers to ensure that this works properly
    (sometimes the preset DNS server assigned by you ISP will create conflict)
    Let's do this;
    Follow these steps to print a network configuration page from the HP product.
    On the product-control panel, touch the Wireless icon ( ), or touch Wireless .
    Touch Print Info . The product prints a network configuration page. After you have printed a network configuration page or wireless network test report, check for the following:
    Does the network configuration page or wireless network test report indicate any problems? If so, follow the recommendations on the report to try to resolve the issue.
    Do the reports indicate that the HP product is connected to your wireless network? The network name that the HP product is connected to shows on the network configuration page or the wireless network test report.
    Make sure that the product is connected to the correct wireless network, and not another wireless network in the area (such as your neighbor's).
    Follow these steps to assign a static IP address to your HP product.
      In the browser on your preference please type the printer's IP address and the EWS (Emblemded Web Server) should open here  Click the Networking tab, click the Wireless tab, and then click the IPv4tab. (Your menu path might be slightly different, depending on your HP product model.) A new settings page displays there do the following;
    Set a Manual IP : Your wireless router automatically sets an IP address within a specific range (called the DHCP range). If you know what the DHCP range is, set an IP address in which the last set of numbers is outside that range, but no higher than 254. Keep the first three sets of numbers the same. If you do not know the DHCP range, select a fairly high IP address, like 250 (again, for the last set of numbers). To learn about your router's DHCP range, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or wireless router manufacturer.
    Subnet address : Use 255.255.255.0, unless you know that it is different, in which case you should use that number.
    Set the gateway address and the first DNS.  Find the gateway address in network configuration page you printed previously and added here and for the DNS servers. Use google's Public DNS Servers which are 8.8.8.8 and in the second (Alternative DNS) 8.8.4.4
    Att this point you will be ready to take full advantage of the capabilities of EPrint just follow this instructions to get started GO HERE.
    Hope this answer your question and helps you.  Let me know if I can assist you any further I will do my best to help you.
    Best of luck;

  • Problem Signing into ePrint

    I am trying to sign into ePrint but I keep getting this message at the top of the screen.
    Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden
    Does anyone know what this error message means or find out what it means.
    It may have something to do with the printer being wrongfully listed as "out of warranty" .   It was purchased March 13 2013 and I have sent them a request to be moved to warranty status with supporting receipt.  If this error message is for something else, does anyone know what it is referring to or how to resolve it.
    Thanks,
    Wes49

    I just did that - but now the HP ePrint site is 'down for maintencance'.
    I will confirm later, thanks.

  • Problems downloading BT netprotect plus

    Hello
    I've recently been trying to download BT netprotect plus. All is well and good until I click the download button. It then says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. I've tried in both Firefox and IE. I've also temporarily disabled windows firewall and closed down my current anti -malware programme Spy Sweep.  I've gone into advanced settings  and done this... 'If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.'
    Occassionally I get the 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' on other websites, secure and otherwise, and sometimes just reclicking works. I suspect I've got various bits of malware judging by the google redirects and popups. I've cleared all cookies, run a full Spy Sweep scan but I'm still having problems.
    Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated, otherwise I may just start using Ceefax instead of the internet.
    Thanks
    Tim

  • Unique problem downloading 10.2.1 ... my punishment for being a rabid fans?

    Problem is with the Z30 update to 10.2.1 (currently running 10.2.0.429) which is basically not happening. I get the notification an update is available but I can't complete the download no matter where/how I try. The phone was purchased from Bell Mobility unit, fully unlocked and working 100% perfectly (and I love this phone). The trick here is that I'm on a VIVO network, a Brasilian carrier.
    Have been looking around the web, Crackberry and have not found a single reference to someone having an issue like mine. I'm opening a new thread to see if technically-savvy folks can figure this out.
    I did a factory reset at the beginning, connected to wifi and began the download straight to phone. That crashed at about 12% merely saying "problem with download, try again later" so I tried over and over again with the crash happening randomly in between 0% and 40%. Somehow the bug wouldn't pick up where the previous download left so I ended up re-downloading every time.
    I also tried using a freshly downloaded Link on 2 different computers (a Win7 and Win8.1) and I get the same thing, a random crash during download "error encountered". I've tried in 2 office, Subway restaurant wi-fi, etc and still the same **bleep**.
    As I'm writing this my Win8.1/Link setup is on its 15+ crash and the behavior is extremely strange. It got to 37%, crashed and dropped to 20% and I've been going like this for 2 hours now: download up +15-20%, crash back 10-15%, download up, crash back, etc. I'm now at the 60% high peak / 43% crashed low and as I only gain a few increments every 5 minutes it seems I'll be doing this **bleep** for the next hours.
    The error is "Software Update encountered an error. An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists". That's it. No log, no detail, no cryptic message, nothing. It has been persisting for 3 days now.
    Problem is not the network, I'm connecting on a corporate environment running a hundred SAP connections daily and being on a Saturday I get all the bandwidth for me today. It's also not the computer, I'm doing this on my personal Alienware gaming beast and it's running the very latest version of everything. Anyone has a clue what the heck is happening?

    Have you tried www.blackberry.com/upgrade

  • Still problems downloading software for hp B209a printer on windows 8.1

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software per online instructions and finally got the Box that allowed me to install.  And, of course, I got the message "System cannot find file specified" which kept me from installing.  I followed the instructions on line for that issue.  Typed %windir% in search box, but all that came up were several websites discussing it - nothing on the computer itself.  I went to the windows folder and searched for hpoins and hpwins files, but nothing showed up.  As a desperation move, I searched windows files for .dat files and reviewed all of them - several hpxxxxx(x being addl letters and or numbers) but no hpoins or hpwins files.  So where do I go from here???  I've uninstalled my latest download again and waiting for an answer.

    Hello ncagent,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
    Sorry to hear about the issues installing thE B209a on you Windows 8.1. I have a suggestion for you to try, what is the Anti-Virus software installed on the computer?
    In recent attempts to resolve this issue I have found that McAfee blocks the printer software installer. I would suggest disabling this, if installed, or any other Anti-Virus software and try installing.
