Problem maintaining entries in maint view...

Hi,
I am creating one maint view,here while maintaining entries i have a following requirement.
I have two fields,The requirement is on 1st field if we are selecting any value, based on that in second field some values should appear.
Eg: In 1st field i have A,B,C and in second field i have 10,20,30,100,200,300,1000,2000,3000
so when i select A in 1st field 10,20,30 should appear in 2nd field
and when i select B in 1st field 100,200,300 should appear in 2nd field and so on
pls can anyone help me..

Hey Pavvi,
Goto Table maintenace generator menu bar:
Environment>Modification->Events-->New Entries
Select event 05 and give a form routine name
Ssave and goto editor
And put logic as below
Call FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST
And fill ur internal table based the value in the first column.
remember, You will get the content of every line in structure <vim_total_struc>.
Its a field symbol used in table maintenace standard SAP prog( U must be aware that SAp has this common prog for all the table maintenace generation where it dynamically picks the table name and field and its content).
Declare a workarea of type ur Z-table
and Then Move <vim_total_struc>-Field1 = wa_temp-field1.
Bingo!!!!rest of the world is urs!!!!!

Hi Guys, thanks for getting back to me.
the problem is purely about design view display and not about coding.
Below is how CS4 displays borders with two lines which I find difficult to decipher:
Then below is Macromedia DM 8 and this how I want the borders to look, with single lines to display the tables.
This may just be the way Abobe have decided to display tables in design view and there may not be any option to change it but if you know any way to change it I would be most greatful.

How to maintain entries in tables T894 & T881

Hi Friends,
As per note 64034 I need to maintain few entries in T894 & T881 table. But could not get where will be the customization path to maintian these entries. These entries were available in 4.7 version and few entries are missing after upgrading to ECC 6.0.
Please let me know, where can we maintian entries for these tables through customizaton.

1. I don't find any existing entries in these views (in display views).
2. The exact fields which are there in those tables are not appeared in these views.

Maintaining entries in TVARV

Hello,
I was trying to maintain entries in TVARV table using SM30 but I am facing two problems:
1. Entries that I try to maintain in TVARV using SM30 gets maintained in TVARVC which I do not want
2. I am not able to maintain value in NUMB field using SM30. When I do the maintainence, default value 0000 gets saved in NUMB field. What can be done if we want to maintain '0001' '0002' etc in TVARV-NUMB.

1) Even you enter TVARV in SM30, the underlying table is TVRVC. You can see that as soon as you enter in table maintainence. If you dont want to see that, better create your own table and maintain them.
2) NUMB field is not to maintain the values for your field. This is a number (can say counter) to the same entry. For example, if you want to maintain multiple entries, then you need to assign 1, 2 and so on. it is a type NUMC.
Use TVARVC to maintain them. I dont think you have control over TVARV-NUMB

How to maintain entries in SE16 for a particular table when there is no maintenance view and also tell me the posibility of transporting those entries to another clients.

Hi Gayathri,
Goto SE16N.
Enter table name.
in the command field write &sap_edit and push enter button.
Then execute the entries.
You can change the entries as you wish and then push the save button .
Then go to SE01.
Create a workbench request manually.
Program ID : R3TR
Object : TABU
Object name : Table name.
Press key button. There press table contents button. Select entire table.
Thus you can transport table contents.
However, as long as possible, I would advise you to update entries in a table via table maintenance screens.

Q10 Auto upload of new OS release 10.2.1.2102.
The Text Message screen no loner displays anything. "no entries in this view".
Has anyone seen this and is there a solution?

I recommend doing a Security Wipe on the device:
To perform a Security Wipe please follow the instructions below. Be sure and use BB Link to make a full backup before proceeding with the wipe:

Problem with Digital Editions page view

I used Digital Editions on two books just recently and was able to fit each page of the ebook to it's full height from top to bottom.
I just downloaded my third book to DE, and I can't seem to find the button to fit each page to their full heights (top/bottom). Instead, it's stuck on dual-page view. The single-page view button option isn't even there on the third book, but IS there on the first two books. I downloaded a fourth book and it's experiencing the same problem; stuck in dual-page view with no single-page option.
If I try to re-size the DE window to force it into a single page view, the page numbers are all messed up appearing at random spots of each page rather than at the top right where they are suppose to be.
I re-installed DE but the problem still persists. Is this a problem with the books in specific? Or something else?

Problem on using Crystal Report Viewer on windows application ("specified type is not valid ")

I am having problem on using Crystal Report Viewer on one of my windows application.
I am not sure how to put the Crystal Report Viewer 11 Control onto the tool box.
I could found a Crystal Report Viewer control on my computer, but it is version 8.5.
I have also found another one which is Called Crytal ActiveX Report Viewer, i don't think it is the one I can use. As when I try to load a dummy report on to the Crytal ActiveX Report Viewer, It return an error. "specified type is not valid"
Please see the Code sample below.

VS 2005 Standard and Express editions do not come with Crystal Reports; only the Professional and higher editions will have CR bundled. However, I believe you can purchase CR XI R2 Developer and it will give you the components you need to create a VS .NET 2005 application using the Standard edition.

Problems maintaining network connectivity in hotels

I have a problem maintaining internet connectivity when I use hotel WiFi services where you have to "login" first via the web browser. I don't have a problem with the WiFi per se and I have no problems with initial connectivity -- I can login and browse the Web without problems. But if my MacBook goes to sleep, I can't browse, get email, etc when it wakes up.
I don't have this problem at home - only when I travel to places where I have to first "login". This has been happening consistently since I got the MacBook 10 months ago and at various hotel chains around the country. Also when I have another laptop with me ( Windows ) I don't see this problem. Sometimes on the Windows machine I have to "login" again after it wakes up but I never have this opportunity on my MacBook -- the browser just hangs there, "loading" indefinitely.
The only way I've found to fix this is to reboot my MacBook. I've tried Googling for a solution or even anybody else who has this problem and I've turned up nothing! I am really the only person having this problem?!? LOL...

Unfortunately this is a fact of life with these types of hotel systems. Live with it or set your Mac to "Computer never sleep" when you are traveling and that occurs.

New entry for a view in SM30 does not save

Hi all,
I created a new entry for a view in SM30.
Then when I tried to SAVE it, it does not SAVE and comes back to the same screen with the new entry. And it continues, until you CANCEL and come out.
Please let me know the reason for it.

copy the sap view to a zview make the modifications and generate in se11 the table maintenance generator.
why was it necessary to make the modification to the original SAP view ??

Email shows "No entries in this view" because the Inbox folder is not selected by default

When I go to the Hub and select my corporate email account, the page that opens up shows the top level folder for email instead of my inbox, so all I see is "No entries in this view."
To access my inbox, I need to click on the account at the top of the screen and select my inbox from the list of folders (Inbox, Sent Items, etc). This happens every time I access the Hub. Very frustrating!

Sorry to hear you're having an issue with your email on your BlackBerry 10 device.
Are you using the BlackBerry Z10? If so, go to Settings>Accounts>Category OS and let me know what your software version is.
Do you have more than one email account added? If so, when you go to another email account does this same issue happen with the Inbox not showing?
When you go to filter your corporate email only, what's the name of the folder that shows (since it isn't your Inbox)? Is you work account using ActiveSync or IMAP?

Problem in creating Entity for view which has "INSTEAD OF " trigger

I have an entity based on a Non updatable Database view (DB_VIEW).this database view has an INSTEAD OF trigger which validates
and save data into a table.
And I have a BC4J view based on this entity.
Problem :
When I try to insert a record using bc4j view object,I get following error
ORA-22816: unsupported feature with RETURNING clause
Query sent by view Object is :
BEGIN INSERT INTO DB_VIEW(COLUMN1,COLUMN2,COLUMN3) VALUES (:1,:2,:3) RETURNING ROWID INTO
:4; END;
I am not able to insert any record in that view.
I tried removing rowID from my BC4J entity and View but problem is that in Databae view there is no
column which can be set as a primary key other then ROWID.

I had the same problem.
Oracle 9.2 sadly does not support the RETURNING clause for database views with INSTEAD OF triggers.
Here is Steves Solution:
1. Create a custom entity def impl class for your entity on the Java panel
2. override the isUseReturningClause() and return false
That should work in 9.0.3.4, 9.0.4 build 1419, and 9.0.5.1 production.

We want to maintain the entries as per Business Area / valuation area against respective Cost Element...
We have approx 500 Cost Element and approx 40 Business Areas....and it's very time consuming...
Can we Upload in Mass with new Business Area...any BDC / LSMW is possible for that...???

Tell me one thing that, do you want to upload all 1000 entries with single click or what???
For any BDC/LSMW, you must create an EXCEL file in advance to upload them.
Even to design BDC/LSMW also takes time...
Just prepare the excel file with below columns and COPY and PASTE into OKB9. (But only 21 rows at a time and SAVE and again 21 rows...and so on)

Problem in CR XI returning Views with PUBLIC synonyms

I am having problem in CR XI returning Views with PUBLIC synonym.
I can see the tables and stored procedures with PUBLIC synonym but not VIEWS.
This is a simple View that has a PUBLIC synonym to it. I have granted the user SELECT access to the underlying Views.
I checked the boxes in Report > Options for all the combinations possible one by one but to no avail.
I connect CR to the instance as a specific user , password. But when I go to Views (and Tables) there is nothing visible.
I tried PRIVATE synonyms and when I go to Views (and Tables) the views are visible, but now the Fields are not visible.
In SQL+ and Oracle SQL Developer connected as the same user , password everything looks ok.
Any help will be appreciated.

R1 is no longer support nor are updates available. You can upgrade to CR Xi R2 for free, it's end of life now also but has all of the latest patches included.
Install with your XI R1 keycode and then test again.

Have you tried OPJB.
1.'New entries'.
2. Enter version as 000, application area (the first two digits of the message no, for BOM it would be CO ), & message no.
3 Under category maintain as E Or W.
Check if it work. So far I know you can not update Change Message type of BOM from customizing.
