Problem with an Extended Analytics Connexion

Hello all,
After testing an Extended Analytics connexion (where everything was okay), I wanted to deploy it.
I obtained this message : Updating UDF entry in the UDF configuration file
You are trying to modify a connection created from another platform
Hide detail
Cartesis.InformationDelivery.AnalyticsUdfAdminService.Contract.UdfEntryPlatformMismatchException
---> Exception of type 'Cartesis.InformationDelivery.AnalyticsUdfAdminService.Contract.UdfEntryPlatformMismatchException' was thrown.
This happened after trying to re-deploy this connexion without changing any parameter.
The tests still run okay but the status is down.
Does somebody know how to get a working connection from this message?

My system is Windows 7. (GB Ram 8.00 on a Dell Optplex 980) And Photoshop is my newly purchased in Portuguese, because I'm Brazilian. The problem appears when I try to use the Filters menu - finishes - lighting effects.
My old version worked just fine ...

I tried the process you described on my machine using LabVIEW 7.1 and could not reproduce the behavior. If you can clarify the version you were using that will be helpful. I will have to clean a test machine and try it again without LabVIEW installed, and get back with you if the problem appears. In the meanwhile, I found the following KB which, while not referring to the exact same problem you are describing, does address the evaluation message issue. You can try to follow the steps at the end of the KB, and let me know if that worked.

Problem with Reader Extending during render.

I have a process that uses a custom renderer which pre-populates some fields on a form and then reader extends the form for the users. The problem I am having is that when the process is initially invoked, the renderer works fine, and users using Adobe Reader can fill out the form. But if some one else attempts to invoke the process while another user is using it, the form that is rendered is not reader extended and tells the user that the form has been reader extended, but that the form has been changed.
So basically, if one person is using the process everything works great. If more than one person is using the form, then one person will work, while the others will not....
I'm attaching an LCA of the process. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Problem with an extended business object

Dear experts,
I am extending a standard business object for sales BUS2032, with the name ZBUS2032. To the new bus ( ZBUS2032 ) I have added a new method by assigning a custom function module developed by me for a requirement. I have released the method it is fine and I am able to use this newly created method in my work flow. But when I added an another method to this object its not getting reflected when I tried to use it my work floe ( Not in the available method options for the object ZBUS2032 ).

Problems with Network Extender

We have recently moved into a metal building as our home. Our phone signals are affected and so we did the research and bought a Verizon network extender. The bars on our phones went straight up to 4 and the VNE works great ... up until you use the internet for anything that takes a little bandwidth. I work in a home office over a VPN all day. I can be taking a call and as soon as I send an email (no attachments just an email), my call becomes choppy and unusable. I paid our ISP technician an hour's onsite visit to troubleshoot our in-home network and with his monitoring we noted that the bandwidth performance was drastically affected when the VNE is attached and working. According to FAQs, the bandwidth required for the VNE should be nominal. We have 10 mbps down and 4 up...and the VNE seems to cause all kinds of internet issues when plugged in.
Further, the GPS signal catches and stays for hours but then seems like when left unattended for hours the blue light goes away...if I pick up the VNE and just move it around, the GPS signal catches again. I have attached the "external GPS cable" just to see but if it gets the Blue light at all, doesn't that really mean the extra cable isn't necessary?
Does anyone have any suggestions how I can successfully use this tool?

I want you to have the best experience using your cell service while at home. Every call connected to the extender should only be using an average of 40 kbps. Was the technician able to advise how much bandwidth is being used? We may need to reach out to our engineering team to confirm the manner that the Network Extender is connecting to your internet but the more information we have from your ISP, the more details we can provide. I also recommend you contact the manufacturer of your router if it's different than your ISP. Occasionally settings need to be changed to ensure better call quality.
Does the GPS light turn off or does it go from Blue to Red? The external cable is only needed when the light is Red and stronger connection is needed. Please ensure that the Network Extender is located in an open area, preferably in an elevated location near a window and in an upright position. Please provide more details as to exactly what happens with the light.

Problem with CS5 extended saving jpegs

I'm trying to save 8bit tiff files (2400x1374pixel 300dpi) with no layers, paths etc as a jpeg in CS5 but even with the jpeg quality slider set to 0 it is still giving me a file size over 400kb.
The tiff files were coverted to 72dpi @ 900pixel wide. I can't figure out why it is still giving me a jpeg over 400kb in filesize. It should be well under 100kb. I normally like to set the jpeg slider around 8 to
still have a sharp image but even at 0 it's still giving me a large file. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Mac OS 10.6.8, 12GB ram, iMac 2.93Ghz quad-core i7 CS5 ext. v12.0.4 x64

If I open "file info" in PS what tab would that file size be under and could I put in the correct size.
The tiff files were created in LR4 and I've never had this issue before. Thanks for your help.

If your query1 is something like
SELECT ...
d.deptno,

and you want to do query2
SELECT ...
FROM ...
for all departments but then split the output on display by department.
I'd go with the suggestion from the other poster above:
Do your query1 as
SELECT ...Query1Fields,
Query2Fields
FROM Query1Tables, (put query2 here) q2
where q2.deptno = dept.deptno -- or whatever the conditions are
Or use
WITH q2 AS (put query2 here)
SELECT ...Query1Fields,
Query2Fields
FROM Query1Tables, q2
where q2.deptno = dept.deptno -- or whatever the conditions are
That second format should ensure that query2 is done as one whole unit.
Then in the data model drag and drop the query2fields outside the query1 group to form a new group below it. Then in the layout you have a repeating group based on the query1 group and within it a repeating group based on the new "query2" group.

Problems with CS6 Extended/Maverick

CS6 is acting erratically after installing OSX Maverick. I have the latest version of CS6 and am not running any third party add-ons. The program will freeze and also zoom in and out erratically. Was working fine before the OSX upgrade. Please advise!

Serial number problem with CS5 Extended

Hi!
I bought PS-CS5 from a retail dealer on ebay. It came home in a sealed carton and it looked new.
When I started installing it I typed my serial number, successfully. Then when the install was done it says; "Serial number invalid".
I tried uninstalling and installing it again, same thing.
Then I tried register the product on adobe.com, said the same thing "Invalid serial number".
I have no idea what to do?
Is there a way to get a serial number from any of the other numbers on the carton?

It is possible that you have a counterfeit copy, or somebody has already used that serial number.

Problem convertting certain extended ascii characters

I'm having problems with the extended ascii characters in the range 128-159. I'm working with SQL server environment using java. I originally had problems with characters in the range 128-159 when I did a 'select char_col from my_table' I always get junk when I try to retreive it from the ResultSet using the code 'String str = rs.getString(1)'. For example char_col would have the ascii character (in hex) '0x83' but when I retrieved it from the database, my str equaled '0x192'. I'm aware there is a gap in the range 128-159 in ISO-8859-1 charset. I've tracked the problem to be a charset issue converting the extended ascii characters in ISO-8859-1 into java's unicode charset.
I looked on the forum and it said to try to specify the charset when I retreived it from the resultset so I did 'String str = new String(rs.getBytes(), "ISO-8859-1")' and it was able to read the characters 128-159 correctly except for five characters (129, 141, 143, 144, 157). These characters always returned the character 63 or 0x3f. Does anyone who what's happening here? How come these characters didn't work? Is there a workaround this? I need to use only use java and its default charsets and I don't want to switch to the windows Cp1252 charset cuz I'm using the java code in a unix environment as well.

Normally your JDBC driver should understand the charset used in the database, and it should use that charset to produce a correct value for the result of getString(). However it does sometimes happen that the database is created by programs in some other language that ignore the database's charset and do their own encoding, bypassing the database's facilities. It is often difficult to deal with that problem, because the custodians of those other programs don't have a problem, everything is consistent for them, and they will not allow you to "repair" the database.
I don't mean to say that really is your problem, it is a possibility though. You are using an SQL Server JDBC driver, aren't you? Does its connection URL allow you to specify the charset? If so, try specifying that SQL-Latin1 thing and see if it works.

When I want to retreive an object of type Contact, it seems
that only a couple of entries are filled. While debugging the flex
XMLDecoder, I noticed something strange. It seems, like the decoder
is expecting the result xml data to be in alphabetical order:
birthday, firstname, lastname, etc. But since the object is
inherited, the data that is actually received contains elements
from the parent class: birthday, firstname, id, inserttimestamp,
The resulting object has just birthday and firstname filled,
which is somehow wrong. This seems to be a problem inside the
parser itself. What can I do?

I am having a problem with an extended class as well.
When I step through the code, everything is going fine and the decoder (mx.rpc.xml::XMLDecoder) sees that the class is an extension and wants to get the values for the superclass first. When it gets into getApplicableValues(), it's looking for the values to be in the order of the definition which would be ok if the values collection didn't include the values from the subclass as well! It goes through the whole definition and doesn't find anything for the superclass because the values aren't where it expects them. When it pops back up to the subclass and starts to decode those values, it finds them because the definition order and values order match.
Is this a known issue? Or, am I misunderstanding something?

Extended Analytics for star schema creation from HFM application

I'm trying to create star schema via extended analytics from HFM application but facing below error

The error you pasted here is incomplete. Look in the system messages and you will find more complete information that will lead you to the error's cause. Very often this is an error in the database, though sometimes it is caused by a metadata member with an invalid character. To determine whether it is data or metadata that causes the error, you could generate a schema with metadata only and see if the error appears.

[SOLVED] Dualboot problems with Windows 7 partition

Hello,
after arch is running well I focus on the dual boot to have my arch and the windows 7 available.
The first partition (hd0 1) is the chainboot to Windows 7, the second one is the main partition for windows and the third held the syslinux bootloader.
LABEL windows
MENU LABEL Windows
COM32 chain.c32
APPEND hd0 1
After I uncomment the lines in the syslinux.cfg with the "Windows2-Label, I just tried what happens, because I was expecting everything works well like the other laptop I installed both systems.
The following error message shows up when I select Windows in the boot menu: "Couldn't read first partition sector"
At first I set the MBR back to the W7 chainloader to check if it is broken, but it works, after that I set it back to the syslinux bootloader.
I also tried some workarounds:
- KERNEL instead of COM32
- setting APPEND to disk identifier of the windows chainloader
- try to open the cfdisk, this shows up an error: "cfdisk fatal error bad logical partition 6 enlarged logical partitions overlap"
Confused and unhappy I checked it with gparted and saw there is now error.
#May anybody can hep to handle this problem or has some experience with that type of error. I was searching the web for two days but didn't found anything that helps.

The awnser is just easy as I thought. It is a problem with the extended logical partition, creted by windows partition programm. The partitiontable is somewhat messy. But i can't delete it without loosing much of my stuff and even can't back it up. So i decided to buy a mSATA SSD for the my laptop.
Now it works. :-)

Printing problem with Photoshop CS 6 extended and HP printer

Hi all, long time browser, first time poster.
This is a weird issue, it should be noted from the first that I only have weird computer issues. I work at a technical High School where we have the whole Adobe CS6 Extended suite installed. We are running it under a fully patched version of Windows 7 and all the CS6 updates have been applied on 25 machines that all have the same issue. The problem is that when the students go to print to our HP Color Laser jet CP6015DN, the job can been seen loading into the queue, it races up to about 45MB, then sort of strolls to load the rest of the document, usually about 59 to 75 MB's in size. Then I watch the message go to processing, the front panel of the printer says processing, then the print job disappears from the printer queue and the printer and there is no print out. I printed out the usage job log and it shows none of the failed attempts to print and I check the event log page which does not show the errors either.
Looks like a bad printer driver, right? So I download the new HP Universal printer driver, I normally do not do the Universal driver route as so many of my older printers have problems with it, but the CP6015DN seems to have trouble accessing the extended tray 5 with the specific drivers, but I have the same printing issue with the new Universal driver and the PS driver. So I wander through the HP manual and it suggests using profiles to print to the printer and move the color handling from Printer Manages Colors to Photoshop manages colors and I track down the ICC profiles for the printer on the HP site as the link in the book is dead, so try the CP6015srgb_d50.icc, CP6015_cmyk_d50.icc and CP6015.icc, I try all of these profiles with the newest PS printer driver and the same error, goes to the printer and into the bit bucket. Still no printout or error message.
Strange thing is that if I do a test print, it prints fine, if I open a tif file in Photoshop, it prints fine, now the teacher says if they print to the Xeorx 7760 in the next room, it also prints out fine. It should be noted that we had so many issues with configuring the Xerox and adjusting controls it was the reason we purchased a HP proofing printer in the first place. But the next door lab is all Apple, which doesn't seem to have this issue. So I open the test document and save it as a PDF file instead the native Photoshop format, and it prints fine, which from what I've been reading on the internet may be the preferred way of printing proofs, I don't know, I've never really used Photoshop, but the teacher says this isn't an acceptable fix and the students should be expected to manage a number of revisions saved to PDF format, me I just go up a number at the end of the file name for every correction when editing documents.
Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

Yes, Photoshop is up to date at Version 13.0.6. I have even gone so far as to uninstall CS 6 and put CS 5 back on and still the same thing. This is really frustrating, the people at Canon try to be helpful but wind up saying it's an Adobe problem and of course you can't talk to real people anymore about CS 6. My research on the Internet has turned up nothing so I'm stuck.
