Problem with MSVC 2010

Hi there,
I am getting a runtime error about a missing entry point (I have to translate the error messages from german to english) when I start the my simple OCCI test application:
entry point "OCIPHeapAllocUc" was not found in "OCI.dll"
line:
environment = oracle::occi::Environment::createEnvironment(oracle::occi::Environment::DEFAULT);
I am using:
Windows 7 64bit
Oracle Client 11.2 64bit and 32bit installed (using 32 bit)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express
Im am using the following DLLs
"C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_2\bin\oci.dll"
"C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_2\oci\lib\msvc\vc10\oraocci11d.dll"
(client_2 => 32bit)
In my project settings I added the c++ include directory:
"C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_2\oci\include"
and the additional linker dependecy:
"C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_2\oci\lib\msvc\vc10\oraocci11d.lib"
I have setup the same project with Visual C++ 2008 Express and the corresponding oracle lib (vc9) - this works fine.
Any ideas on this? Google did not give me anything usefull

Das Problem dürfte daran liegen, das VS2010 nur in Verbindung in ODP.NET und anderen Windows API's von 11.2 zertifiziert ist (ODAC + Oracle Development Tools)

listet nur VS2005 und VS2008 auf - ich benutze zwar auch VS2010 aber OCCI unterstützt derzeit nur VC8 (VS2005) und VC9 (VS2008) ---> %ORACLE_HOME%\OCI\lib\msvc
VC2010 hat ein nettes Feature eingebaut:
ACHTUNG: Geht nur, wenn VS2008 auf dem gleichen Rechner installiert ist - ansonsten gibt es den Fehler:
"C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\Microsoft.CppBuild.targets(293,5): error MSB8010: Specified platform toolset (v90) requires Visual Studio 2008. Please make sure that Visual Studio 2008 is installed on the machine."
Aktuelles Project -> Kontextmenü --> Properties --> Configuration Properties --> General
Da gibt es eine Einstellung Namens
Platform Toolset = v100
Wenn man das auf
Platform Toolset = v9
ändert, erzeugt VS2010 einen v9 (VS2008) kompatiblen Code - mit den Bibliotheken aus
%ORACLE_HOME%\OCI\lib\msvc\v9\
sollte dann der Code keine Fehler mehr schmeissen. Hat wenigstens bei anderen Kunden geholfen
Weiterhin muß man nach %ORACLE_HOME%\bin die Dateien aus %ORACLE_HOME%\OCI\lib\msvc\v9\*dll
kopieren, damit zur Laufzeit die richtigen Dateien gezogen werden

We moved from Blackberry to iPhone for 120 services in 2010. We have just renewed the iPhone fleet. Security was the issue for the business that employs me (lawyers). When comparing the two, Blackberry performed without issue most of the time but we experienced a number of issues with the trackballs on individual phones. This was, however, the first of the Blackberry Bold models. The expense behind the scenes was one of the major factors for the move. It was cheaper to run Exchange and iPhones than Blackberry services. Our lawyers on the whole adopted the iPhones and a number have become quite proficient at using them. We ensured that we had a means to securely wipe and lock business phones. We chose Mobile Iron for this purpose but you will find other products to do the same job. Cost is probably going to be the deciding factor here. Our only negative factor was butterfingers resulting in smashed glass with the iPhones although I have had one user drown several phones.

After installing new updates for MS Exchange 2010 and PowerShell 4.0 I've got problems with PS scripts using buil-in
exchange commands.
I wrote interactive script for searching e-mails. Here is a pice of code where I get error after installing PS v4.

Problems with outlook 2010 IMAP it says : Mailbox doesn't exist

I have a problem with my outlook at work.
I am currently using Outlook 2010 as IMAP (excuse me for my bad English)
There is 1 Category "Harderwijk" where I can't take any mail in or out.
Whenever i try to put a new mail in the map I get this error: Cannot move items Response from server was: Mailbox doesn't exist. Whenever I try to put a mail out of the Harderwijk map I get this error: Cannot move item, Cannot select map this could be a cause
of the IMAP-Server or the map is possibly deleted or changed.
Can someone help me with this?
I tried to google the answer, but the only responses I saw is that people are going to other mail servers or had to make a new mail. Since this is a bussiness mail we can't afford to lose our e-mails.
So I need a solution without losing all the mails. Thanks in advance.

Problem with Exchange 2010, Q10 and attachment

Q10 & Exchange 2010; unable to download and forward attachment
Hi all,
i have a problem with Q10 phone, sync with Exchange 2010 with activesync (not BES) all seem ok but unable to download attach.
When press "download" didnt start. Unable also to forward same message but i think is a chainde problem.
Same message from desktop (outlook) or OWA is ok and attach downloadable.
This is the only Q10 present in company for test so i cannot compare to others BB.
All other users connected to the exchaneg server have iphone & ipad no issue result. Email service seem ok also for desktop.
Firmware was updateted about 10 day ago.
Any idea for me?

Do you have this issue with all attachment types? If not, what type of attachment are you having this issue with and what size is the attachment?
What happens when you try to forward the message? Is any error received?
Does removing and re-adding the email account make any difference?

Problem with Outlook 2010 sync: Which PST file is used for synchronisation?

I have a problem with sync of my Outlook 2010 calendar with my iPhone. Sync works somehow but it seems that iTunes grabs any calendar but not the one of my Outlook. I looks like iTunes is connected to another PST or some other calendar file on the computer.
Is there a way to find out where iTunes takes the calendar information from while doing the sync? Any logfile?

I'm having the same issue. I work on one file, then move to another and when I go to export it brings up file #1. I have to close all the other files before I can export file #2.
Has anyone helped you with this?
I'm using a Mac Pro (8 gigs Ram 500GB HD), running OS X.4.11 and using Fireworks CS4 10.0.3.11. I just updated it and its still doing it.
Am also having crashes when working with text in a PNG file. I have to say I miss the text editor box since the machine wasn't trying to work with font appearances while you're editing text. Seems like this new "feature" makes Fireworks unstable. I'm thinking about downgrading to CS2.

Smarview problem with Outlook 2010 - 11.1.2.2

Everytime I start up Outlook I get an error stating Outlook experienced serious problems with the Hyperion SmartView add-in, would you like to disable the add-in. I select 'no' as I don't want it disabled in Excel. I only want it to be disabled in Outlook. I went to the Tech Ref and found this. However I don't see the 'Others' choice. Am I missing something?
To disable Smart View for Outlook only:
From the Smart View ribbon in Excel, select Options, then Advanced in the left panel.
Under Others, select Disable Smart View add-in in Outlook.

Have a look at the windows registry - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyperion Solutions\HyperionSmartView\Preferences\OutlookDisabled
It should be possible to run a registry update after installing Smart View to update the outlook setting.

HT4759 Problems with outlook 2010 and icloud

In outlook 2010, when trying to open up icloud calendar or contacts, I keep getting message, "The information store could not be opened". It worked fine until a few days ago. The only changes I made was to add a new router to my home network., Any suggestions?

This is a more detailed explanation of the prblem that I have posted o nthe Microsoft Forum:
I am a home user of Outlook 2010. My outlook is not picking up all my emails from the server. It is patchy. I have a whole bundle from yesterday which have not been downloaded despite appearing on my iPhone and iPad. Yesterday I received some emails - and then between 4.30pm GMT and 9.09pm GMT I did not receive 7 emails = including my responses from my iPad which I was sending. Everything appears on my iPhone and iPad, but does not come through to Outlook. No error messages or anything to tell me that there is a problem - just when I want to go back and look I cannot find them in Outlook, and have to reforward from my iPad. I get them when reforwarded so really don't understand what is going on.
Is anyone else experiencing this? BT service desk will not help me - say I need to go to the tech people on a paid for basis. If this is happening to others I guess the problem is with BT not Microsoft?

Problem with Exchange 2010 Public Folders after installing Exchange 2013 in my environment.

I currently have an Exchange 2010 server with all the roles installed. Before installing Exchange 2013, I was able to launch the Public Folder Management Console but now I get an error. When I installed Exchange 2013, I got an error saying I
had a instance of Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003, but I didn't have any of these servers left. There was still something in AD referencing my old server. I went into ADSIedit and deleted an old administrative group. This deletion caused my access
to my public folders to get messed up. I followed this article, http://blog.bruteforcetech.com/archives/766, and I was able to gain access back in my outlook client but I still can't see the public folders in OWA. I also get this error when
trying to access either Default or System Public Folders. "Cannot complete the operation because there isn't an available public folder database on server 'ExchangeServer'. It was running the command 'get-publicfolder - getchildren -identity '\'
-server 'ExchangeServer' "
My Public Folder Database exists and is mounted. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for responding. Yes you do understand my problem correctly. One correction is that after deleting this entry in ADSIEdit, we couldn't access public folders at all either in Outlook or OWA. I followed these steps in the below article:

After following these steps and recreating the entry on FolderHieachies in ADSI edit, I was able to gain access to the public folders again through Outlook, but still can't see them in OWA and can't access them in Public Folder Management Console.

Line thickness/location problems with VS 2010 Crystal SP2. Not consistent

I have a program I converted from VS 2003 to VS 2010. The original had perfect outlines created from the header, detail line, and footers. It also has 2 subreports with borders around them.
On the converted version I have the following problems.
1) The lines in the header and detail line are now thicker than they were in the past.
2) The lines in the detail section no longer line up with the box in the footer section. The box in the footer section is the proper original line thickness. Both the box and the individual lines are all set to line thickens 20. I checked the location and thickness properties of each line and box.
3) On my first subreport, it is truncating the bottom border. If I click the report in the viewer the bottom line is there.
These problems show up both on screen in the viewer and when printed. I can supply scans of the pages if desired.

The issue is more than likely related to printer drivers. However since there is so much wrong with the report, it may be a good idea to concentrate on one issue at a time.
In any case, one of the things to look at will be the "No Printer" option. Enable this option and see how the report does now.
Make sure there is a default printer installed.
Make sure you are using the latest printer diver update.
You do not mention if this is a web or win app. If htis is a web app, see how the report does in a win app. If this is a web app, make sure the process has access to the printer drivers. See [this|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/184291/en-us] MS kb.
The other thing; we may eventually want to check with the report design guys re. the report design approach. E.g.; it may be that the report worked, but that still leaves the possibility of a faulty design that only now surfaces.

Sudden problems with Exchange 2010

Hey folks,
my organization recently updated our Exchange server from 2003 to the 2010 version. After the upgrade, Exchange access via Mail, iCal and Address Book was at last possible; didn't work before for whatever reason.
Which is now the case again, after our admin updated the Exchange Firewall ("Threat Management Gateway 2010", I was told) and installed Service Pack 1 for the 2010 Exchange Server. He doesn't know if there were any settings changed which might have broke access through OSX apps, and I couldn't find explicit hints on what to look for in order to regain it.
Anybody here with similar problems?

The problem was a missing exception in the firewall. Up and working again.

After making sure that all services are up and running, I had to deactive and activate the "SharePoint Server Site Search" web site collection feature. Then the search started working for the time being.
However, it throws the error again after 8 to 9 hours. This has been happening for last couple of weeks. I also came to know from my windows server team that they moved the AD from one place to another. Since then I am having this issue.
The log file has the following error:

Adobe 9 Pro PROBLEM with Word 2010

I upgradedd to Office 2010 Suite, Purchased Adobe 9 Pro
and installed it after I installed Office 2010. Adobe does not show in the
Word 2010 ribbon. Called ADOBE they say they do not support ADOBE 9 and Office 2010. HELP

We are a training institution using the latest Microsoft Office Pro (2010) and Creative Suite Design Premium (CS5) suites.
Pdfmaker has been a key part of the PDF Basics syllabus for some time and to have to wait till the end of 2011 for a solution (Creative Suite 6?) is a large inconvenience.
Given that Adobe are still selling Acrobat 9 as a “current” product as part of the suites, I believe that a free upgade to Acrobat 9.xx that has the functionallity restored should be in order, rather than being told that “ps and by the way … the product that you bought TODAY doesn’t work and possibly never will unless you upgrade”!
Spoke to Adobe customer support about this yesterday and their response was to downgrade to Office 2007 if pdfmaker is that important – a fairly arrogant approach.
This is an Adobe problem, not Microsoft, as they are the 3rd party providing the plug-in. (Adobe are quick to point this out when it comes to Photoshop plug-ins.)
As we advertise using the packaged suites upgrading an individual product outside of the automatic updates is not an option.

Problems with Sharepoint 2010 view if group by and collapsed is activated - all items show up within each group!

we have a Sharepoint 2010 Enterprise environment where we use some lists for new feature ideas.
These lists should be grouped by a certain coloums. If we keep the default view with expanded groups, only the items which should be inside a certain group will be displayed (the count is for example 7 and inside the group there are only 7 items).
As there are a lot of groups inside the list we would like to create a new standard view with all groups collapsed. But as soon as we change the view, all groups contain ALL items from the list (what makes it really strange is that the count is still 7 but
a couple of hundred items are inside the group even the ones which should have been filtered by the "group by" settings.
I enclosed two pictures where you can see the difference between "collapsed" and "expanded" view (Group by settings!)
Is this a bug or is there something wrong with our views/installation?

I understand that when you create a new standard view with group by BDE ,and all items show up when collapse is activated .I cannot reproduce your issue .This is not a bug .You should try to edit the view in browser multiple times to have a test whether
it is showing correctly now .If this view is still not working ,you can try the workaround below :
Open the Site in SharePoint Designer .
Open the list and create a new view .Make the view as the default view .
Edit the view in Advanced Mode . Click in the xsltlistview web part and Click Sort&Group in the ribbon .
You can add Group by here .After making all the changes ,save and preview the view in browser .

Wrong...while it may not be working for you for one reason or another, your statement as written is not accurate.

Nope...the device OS 6.0 has only been released so far (I think) for the Torch. And device OS 6.0 and Outlook 2010 are not linked as far as this issue is concerned.
