Problem with normalized frequency on fft

Greetings
I have a problem when working with vi fft Spectral measurements, when acquiring an analog signal , the frequency of this switch to a digital frequency affected by the sampling rate, and hence the frequency axis ( of a waveform graph) gives incorrect, how can  I multiply the digital frequency by the sampling frequency to obtain the original analog frequency?
how can I save as a text file in 2 columns (frequency and magnitude in db)? I tried to write with 'WRITE measurement FILE' but  shows a header file and the columns are time and value, there is another way to store this data?
thanks

greetings and thanks for answering
attached the vi I'm using, the questions are 2
1. How can I multiply the frequency of the signal by the sample rate to get the right analog frequency for  example (if the sample rate is 1000 for a frequency of 60 Hz , i got  0.06 Hz observed  on the waveform graph)
2. How can I get a flat file without a statement at the top with 2 columns frequency and magnitude db
thanks
Im using labview 7.1

  • Problem on Normalized Frequency to original analog frequency

I'm having a problem regarding normalized frequency.
The Sine wave .vi, says that the input to the frequency  must be a normalized frequency. What I did is tha I divide my frequency to the number of samples.
However, when I attached Tone Measurements to output signal of the sine wave, I'm not having a frequency of what i set.
In my example my input frequency is 60 Hz however what was detected by the tone measurement was the normalized frequency which is 0.06.
How do I modify this VI, in order that i will have a frequency in 60 hZ,

The problem with trying to calculate a frequency is that you need a time element.  You don't have a time element.  So I'm thinking 1 sample/second is used.
Try using the Sine Wave.vi (it is in the Signal Processing->Waveform Generation palette).  With that function, you need to supply the sample rate and the actual frequecy that you want.

  • Error out problems with measuring frequency VI

I am having some error out problems with measure frequency VI. The instructions is change error out from indicator to control but does not work. Anyone can help? The VI is attached

Measure Frequency VI error.vi ‏27 KB

This VI does not have an error out. Obviously, you replaced a subVI that did have an error out with this one, otherwise you would not have been able to create this wire.
Simply remove the wire or save the subVI with another name then modify it to have the error out that you are looking for.
    Hope that this helps,

  • Problems with CPU frequency scaling

    Hello!
I'm having problems following this wiki page in order to set up frequency scaling. My CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+, so I tried to load the powernow-k8 module. However, the device couldn't be found. Turning AMD Cool'n'Quiet fixed that, but soon after loading the module, my computer would crash. Changing CPU frequency profiles in BIOS only changed if my computer would crash immediately or a few seconds after loading the module. My motherboard is Asus M2N SLI.
Could someone help me fix this?

    Thanks for your reply!
Unfortunately, I can't seem to even do that. I just ran this after setting the BIOS profile to Auto:
    sudo modprobe powernow-k8 && dmesg | grep powernow > dmesg.txt && lsmod | grep powernow > lsmod.txt
As soon as I pressed return, the command seemed to have executed successfully, basically this is what happened:
    [davor@kompika ~]$ sudo modprobe powernow-k8 && dmesg | grep powernow > dmesg.txt && lsmod | grep powernow > lsmod.txt
    [davor@kompika ~]$
And the system froze. Upon pressing the reset key and booting the system normally, a dmesg.txt file was indeed created in my home dir, but was empty. An lsmod.txt file was nowhere to be found.
I have tried the Standard and Manual (with settings set to defaults) profiles, and they resulted in immediate reboots. I will try a few more times, because I seem to remember the system being able to run at least a few seconds before finally crashing/freezing.
    EDIT:
Did it! Since the command did, in fact, execute entirely, I figured the problem must've been the lack of a clean unmount. So I created a small ext4 partition and ran as root:
    mkdir /root/logs
    mount /dev/sda1 /root/logs
    modprobe powernow-k8 && dmesg | grep powernow > /root/logs/dmesg.txt && lsmod | grep powernow > /root/logs/lsmod.txt && umount /dev/sda1
I realize this is bad practice, but I figured running commands directly as root instead of running them through sudo would maybe save a few milliseconds.
Regardless, it worked! Here is dmesg.txt:
    [ 327.826619] powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ (2 cpu cores) (version 2.20.00)

    [ 327.826950] powernow-k8: fid 0x10 (2400 MHz), vid 0xc
    [ 327.826952] powernow-k8: fid 0xe (2200 MHz), vid 0xe

    [ 327.826957] powernow-k8: fid 0x2 (1000 MHz), vid 0x12
    And here is lsmod.txt:
    powernow_k8 13360 1
    mperf 1275 1 powernow_k8
    processor 26144 1 powernow_k8

  • MSI K8T Neo2 - Problem with AGP frequency...

    Hi there.
I am a proud(?) owner of the K8T Neo2 motherboard. This is the "pro" version, with the supposedly working AGP lock. But it is not working at ALL.
If I set the AGP frequency to 66, my computer wont boot. With or without overclock, it just wont boot. I have the latest BIOS, the 3.3 version, still - nothing.
I really want to overclock some, but an FSB of ~215 (preferably below if I want it to be stable in windows) is as far as I can go.
Please tell me if there is any way I can fix this. Please tell me that I've missed some important BIOS setting and it will all work out for the best.
My other hardware include a 360W chieftek PSU, a radeon 9800 pro and a winchester 3500+.

Thanks for the reply, I'm glad to hear that it is working for someone atleast, this gives me hope.
I tried following your tips. Loading optimized defaults was easy enough, it is the other things im not so sure about.
You said to "then disable the Onboard components you don't need". My question, are these onboard components found in the bios under "Integrated Peripherals"?
I'm not exactly sure what I can enable and disable, because im not very experienced.
Besides my other hardware as you saw above, I have a "Maxtor 160GB SATA DiamondMax Plus9".
I tried to disable some "PATA" option in the BIOS, but it didnt find my harddrive after that. This is why I'm confused and not sure what to disable (I thought I could disable the PATA since I have SATA, im clueless).
Also, when I boot it says, "No drive attached to fasttrack controller". What this means, I have no idea.
Update: So far in the menu i've disabled the 1394 controller, because I dont use firewire.
I also disabled something that was set to "RAID". I could set it to SATA, but I disabled that aswell. After doing this I still cant set AGP frequency to 66 and boot.
Update2: Now I disabled the serial and parallel ports, but I still cant boot with my AGP frequency at 66.

Yeah, the agp is not working and I've tried just about everything. I've flashed the bios with an update and all that crap. I know the agp bus isn't locked because the system does not boot at any htt above ~220 mhz and if it does boot it is very unstable and crashes. And, when I oc in windows, agp disables itself with high ocs. There was one time when the agp somehow stayed locked and I was able to run solid at 2.5 ghz. I have no idea how it stayed locked and it should be able to stay locked with the 66 MHZ AGP LOCK selected in the bios.
I haven't contacted msi yet because I've had the worst experience with tech support. Seems like they all just got out of kindergarten or something and were programmed to say "destructive reformat" for any question you gave them. "Hi, how do I manually install video drivers?" "INSERT YOUR LEGAL WINDOWS XP DISK AND RUN A DESTRUCTIVE REFORMAT." "Hi, I have conceived a worm thanks to windows awesome seccurity flaws." "DESTRUCTIVE REFORMAT." "My computer locked me out for windows activation and I can't seem to unlock it." "WINDOWS IS FLAWLESS, YOU MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF AN ILLEGAL COPY, GIVE US YOUR NAME AND NUMBER AND GO BUY A NEW COPY."

  • Problems with displaying high frequency sine wave

    Hi all,
I don't why LabVIEW has problem with high frequency display.
Someone plzzz explane me how to see a better grapth on grapth?
check this function waveform generation.vi in examples go to search and type "waveform"
    set the feq to 1k.
    Thanks and regards

I think that this is related to LabVIEW, but more basically to the Shannon theorem : if you want to describe a periodic function, you need to take enough samples. First, expand the x scale to see a delta t of 0.001 s (ie a period of your 1000 Hz signal). Remeber to set the autoscale property on OFF. Then go to "sampling info" and increase the sampling frequency. See the result...

  • MSI P6N SLI PLATINIUM problem with ram 800MHz

    Hello.
I have problem with ram frequency.
I have MSI P6N SLI PLATINIUM and OCZ 2x2GB 800MHz CL5  but in bios I see that my ram runs in 667 MHz. Because I have 800MHz ram, so it shouldn't be default 800MHz and not 667MHz? What I have to do to show bios that I have 800MHz ram?

Oke, but they told me when i bought my new system that XP auto adjusts the speed of the memory.
XP 64 bit can works normally with 4 or more GB they said, just like vista.

  • Problem with reset in cs5

with ctrl alt shift to reset, i noticed this created problem with normal setup.
things i noticed are that you can't open new file, it returns error message and you have to go to prefence and off open gl drawing to fix them.
and other thing if the mask black/white erasing doesn't work so well.
seems the hardness for brushes whether its 100 or 25, looks the same, i don't remember seeing this before in cs5, should reflect strenght between stronger /weaker erasing.

That just means that your video card driver has some bugs, and needs to be updated.
The error messages tell you that there is a problem with your video card driver.

  • Problems with Frequency analysis

I use the frequency analysis a lot for comparing specific points on similar tracks.  Every once in a while, the freq anal will stop live-updating.  In fact, it will not register a changing in the cursor position on the edit or spectral freq view at all.  Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?
    Thanks,

ps, I have tried lowering the FFT size to no effect.

If you want to have the 'good frequencies', you must set your dt.
if you use LV6 and waveform, the dt is the inverse of your sampling
    frequency.
If you use older version, you can set your dt buy bundling dt value and the
array of point. you also can set the multiplier value in the
    attribute/propertie node.
dt is always the inverse of the sampling frequency.

  • Performing an fft with specific frequency resolution

I have a 24 kHZ signal that was sampled for 16 seconds. When I take the fft I have a delta f of about 0.06 Hz. What I really need is to be able to see the data with a frequency resolution of something like 3.75 Hz as a part of order analysis. I realize that in order to do something like that I need to either reduce my number of samples or resample the data. Resampling has turned into a problem due to the amount of memory that it takes up. I have tried breaking the data up into chunks that will give me that 3.75 Hz resolution and then taking the ffts of each of those chunks. Now I want to take the average of all of these ffts but I am at a loss as to how to do this. Can anyone help me? Or am I just going about this completely the wrong way?

This problem only occurs when with the internet at my house. whenever i connect elsewhere my computer works normally. My ipod, iphone, tablet and other friends computers work normally when they are connected to my internet. i use dmy neigbours nework a couple of times from my house and it wrks normally.
Also when i turn my laptop on or off i can browse for a few minutes or seconds before it fails again. My skype works like there is no problem
WHAT I HAVE TRIED TO RESOLVE IT
I have tried changing the DNS, i used open DNS and google free DNS and it still didnt make a difference.
I have rebooted router many times, nothing
I have changed my home router, nothing
I backed up my computer, resored everything it to factory setting and put everything back on; still nothing
Run a diagnostics at 'Best buy' and they say nothing is wrong; but i know there is something wrong with the DNS
I have tried different "sudo" type of codes on my comupter from stuff i got online and nothign has proved fruitful yet.
i tried using safari, Google chrome and firefox, all not loading
WHAT DO I DO TO FIX THIS?

You are correct.  Syncing should transfer any purchased media, including videos, from your device to your iTunes library provided your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to make these purchases.  You mentioned that you have uninstalled iTunes before, but if you didn't follow this guide exactly, uninstalling iTunes and all of its components in the order specified, it may not have been successful so you should try again:  Windows XP or Windows Vista/7.

No you just need to turn on Tap to Click. Go into System Preferences - Trackpad and click the Point to Click tab and select the first box which will say Tap to Click and you should be in business.

Do you have an example? I develop Google maps for Web pages and haven't had problem with Safari and its extensions, only FF which I took out all the addons and plug-ins, but it wouldn't surprise if the Google map code doesn't display the map or information for the map or doesn't work with newer versions of Safari.
