Problems in Assigning PDF form in dunning procedure

Hi Gurus,
I have created a z adobe form for dunning letter and would like to assign it to the dunning procedure in Tcode F150.
I have gone through the path on SPRO.. Financial Accounting (New)->Accounts receivable and payable->Business Transactions->Dunning->printout->Assign Dunning forms..
In here it shows standard SAPscripts and I would like to change them and put the adobe forms on different dunning level..But now this is greyed out and does not allow me to add my own forms .
Does anybody have an idea on why this is the case??

I found SAP Note 774207 - New PDF forms in FI. It is not brand-new (valid since 12.05.2006) but it mentions that you first have to change the function module to FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_PDF (Transaction FIBF) for the SAP Publish&Subscribe Business Transaction Event 00001720 FI-FI.
In Transaction FIBF, Settings -> P/S modules -> for a customer, I found
00001720 SEDUNN SE FI-FI SE_DUNN_LOOP
You could try to set FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_PDF instead of SE_DUNN_LOOP.
At least, the modules have the same interface. But honestly, I have no idea if it will help you to get along.

Intermittent problem saving a pdf form

I have created a 17 page PDF form in LiveCycle Es with many dynamic features, such as adding or subtracting more lines to a table. The whole document is about 700KB ( 800 after being partially filled in) in size. I put fillable password protection on it and ran it thru Adobe Extension, checking Basic Fill-in and Final.
Most users are happy with it except two people are having problems saving it to their computer. Both downloaded it from Firefox to their computers, then opened it and began typing. Sometimes they are able to save their work and other times not. One was able to do a Save As and rename it, but that didn't even work for the other. One was getting an error message saying to the effect that the volume for the file was externally altered and cannot be saved.
They are both using Reader 8 or 9 and one has Vista while the other has XP. I have downloaded the form at work and at home and cannot duplicate their problem so I suspect the problem is at their end.
Any ideas of what could be causing this?

I think have a similar question as you answered here. But I want to just make sure I am understanding your response.
I have created a PDF form in LiveCycle and saved it as an Adobe Static PDF form. When I supply this form to my users. The only way they can fill it out and save it is they must have Adode ACROBAT. The free Adobe Reader will not allow a user to fill out the form and then save it electronically. They can only fill out the form in Reader and then print it out. Is this correct?
So any one I want to fill out the form and save it electronically will need to have Adobe Acrobat and at least the Standard addition...which costs money.

Field visability problem in FormsCentral pdf-form.

I made a form in FormsCentral which was saved as a pdf. I got a filled in form from my colleague and the text in the fields does not show. Only when you mark a specific field the text in that filed appears but dissapears again when you select something else. What could be the problem here?

Yes, it was filled with Mac Viewer which caused the problem. The original form had to be refilled using Adobe Reader.

Problems with activation PDF-forms

Hi to everyone!
I'm trying to make a simple PDF-form: to print data from SBOOK training table. I use BC480 course. I've already done Interface, Content and Layout, but I can't activate form! No errors were found during Check, but after activation I see message "Action canceled by user" and form remains inactive. I don't cancel any action.
What could it be? Maybe somebody had such a problem?

create a context attribute <xyz>
goto <xyz> -> Properties -> type...
click on the 3 dots "..."
you will get "Type selection"...
choose
Dictionaries -> Local Dictionary - > com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions
-> visibility.... click "OK"
GOTO ur 
interactive form ->properties->visible
click on "..." and bind it to Context attribute <xyz>
whenever you want it the uielement to disappear
wdContext.currentContextElement().setXyz(WDVisibility.NONE);
whenever you want it the uielement to appear
wdContext.currentContextElement().setXyz(WDVisibility.VISIBLE);

Problems with Adobe PDF forms in Web Dynpro Java

As of now , I have two major issues in developing Adobe PDF forms in Web Dynpro Java .
1.Text getting wrapped and repeated from the first line :
Any text field that flows to the next page gets wrapped at the end of the page and is again printed on the next page beginning from the first line .
For eg:
If I have 4 lines in a text field that is at the end of the page
1111111111111111111111
2222222222222222222222
3333333333333333333333
4444444444444444444444
and the page holds space for only two lines it prints the lines
1111111111111111111111
2222222222222222222222
in the first page and then proceeds to the next page and prints
1111111111111111111111
2222222222222222222222
rather than printing
3333333333333333333333
4444444444444444444444
2.No way to hide a page at runtime:
It is not possible to hide a page in a PDF form at runtime . If scripting is used , the page turns into a blank page but not hidden .
Any pointers on this????????

I have a node called MasterData which is the root node for my PDF Form.I have a node called GenData inside this node whose ctx_Appraisal_Type_Num attribute is bound to a hidden TextField in my form.In the docReady event of this TextField, I am writing the following FormCalc script to hide my SubForm whose Id is MngrCmptnc

Problem while opening PDF form in ABAP

Hello All,
We are getting error while opening results in trip transaction.The form we are using is standard PDF form.
I did all ADS configuartion.
But while opening the URL Http://Host name:port/AdobeDocumnetservices/config
it is asking me user name & password.I am giving user as ADSUSER.But it is not accepting.
ADSUSER is the user used in the RFC & services in JAVA.
(Java & Abap are in the same server).
Can anyone help me?

login to the server & go to

run a file
./go
it will open the visual administrator
user id j2ee_admin
password is the master pasword which you gave while installation SAP.
and follow the path and check whether you have the entry or not.
Please make sure for your HTTP destination service configuration.
Visual Admin -> Server -> services -> Destination-> HTTP -> FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>

2 problems with populating pdf forms

I created a form in LiveCycle on top of an existing PDF. The form has 2 text fields (a company name) and an image (a company logo), and all are dynamically populated depending on who requested the form. I am using CF 8 to read the database and populate the fields. See tags below.
1. I have tried a zillion different ways to generate a line feed in one of the text fields but to no avail. In all cases, the characters actually appear in the output text. Supposedly the LiveCycle doc says I can use udf escape sequences like "\u000d\u000a" but those do not work Other attempts included '\x0d\x0a' " \r" " " \line but to no avail.
Does anyone know what character sequence to embed in a text field to cause a line feed in the output PDF?
2. I cannot find any documentation on how to specify the value for an imagefield on the PDF form. I am trying to place a company logo but nothing comes out on the pdf. Apparently I need something other than value="logofilename.jpg" but I can't find any doc on what to use.

Not sure if there is a way to pass a graphic into a PDF like that, but I've done it lots of times by positioning the graphic onto a PDF file using the iText java library (ships with CF). Might want to head over to http://www.lowagie.com/iText/ to check it out.

Problems with sending PDF form

I am unable to send my PDF form through Microsoft Outlook mail. The error message states there I have the wrong Server name?

How exactly are you sending that document?
What do you have set in Adobe Reader | Edit | Preferences | Email accounts ?

Adobe Reader X creates problems w/coldfusion pdf forms

Ever since I upgraded to Adobe Reader X, I can not open any of my odf forms on my webapp. these forms were designed with Acrobat Pro 8.0 and are prepopulated by coldfusion server. When I browse to one since upgrade, I get the following message:
To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade
to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Obviously, I have the latest version and Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9 readers both worked. Is there an easy work around or a way to get rid of Acrobat X and go back?

Could you please try turning off reader X protected mode and check if you continue to see the problem?
You could turn off protected mode using following steps:
1. Launch Reader X and select Edit->Preferences...
2. Select General from left navigation
3. Under application startup uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at Startup"
Note: You should switch "ON" protected mode after verifying the problem. Purpose of Reader X Protected Mode is to keep your system safe from PDF based exploits and keeping protected mode OFF will leave your system vulnerable.

Field text problem creating a PDF form

Hi,
This might be a stupid question, but I just created a form using Adobe Designer 7.0 and when I preview the PDF, there's the lette "T" that appear in front of every dynamic text field. How can I remove that so I don't see it when I open the form to fill it?

Problem filling in PDF form

when I write text in the first highlighted box, then move to the next one, the text is automatically copied, and so on. If I change the text to the correct text for the next box it automatically changes the text above to the same. I can't figure this one out at all.

This is an error that was made when the form was created. If EVERY field has the same attributes (especially the name of the field) the input data will "auto populate". I use this feature in contracts that require both parties to initial sections throughout. They only have to initial once and the entire form is initialed, because all the initial fields have the same name. When there are multiple values needed in a form, this not only doesn't work well, as you've seen, it messes the whole thing up.
You need to contact the author of the form and advise them of what I posted here. They need to edit the form.
Otherwise, your only option is to print it and fill it out by hand.

Can't open a pdf form

Tried to open a form in pdf but it keeps telling me to install the latest version to see it. I had already installed it so i uninstalled it and installed it again but it still wouldnt open. Pdf files are also set to open with adobe and i have no problem opeining other pdf forms.
Any help would be great thanks?

I have recently been updated to ES4 and upon completion of a simple edit to a ES3 version of a form - emailed PDF version of blank form document to myself.
Mobile device iPad and iPhone Exchange Service and Gmail clients / OWA / and PC based Gmail Web Clients all display Please Wait... image inserted to this reply.
Note: Immediate work around on PC is simple - save file and open via local Windows Explorer (MAC file explorer) view of file with Adobe Reader or Pro and form appears unchanged.
This does however leave more mobile customers customers confused.
I could not in any manner get the file to display as anything but the image here on my Apple devices , even with iBooks and the Adobe Reader 11.6.0 (98775) tool.
All other PDF files I have sent to these same clients are readable - so this must me relative the LiveCycle Designer file formating of the pdf file in XML.
This was simple to check - New form , use blank , save - Untitled1.pdf Adobe Dynamic XML form (*.pdf)
If the document is save as a Static PDF form there is no display issue....

Acrobat 9: Error when PDF form submit with file attachment

Hi all,
Hope you can provide some help with my PDF form submit issue. I am getting this error "There is no PDDoc associated with this CosDoc." in Acrobat 9 (Reader and Pro) when I try to submit a PDF form with a file attachment field (the file is specified). The same PDF form works fine in Acrobat 7 or 8 (Reader and Pro) with file attachment.
If no file attachment is specified (user did not select a file) then the PDF form submits fine in acrobat 9. The form data submission format is in FDF. Same problem if I change to XFDF.
There are no differences in the problem if the PDF form is created in Acrobat 7 or Acrobat 9, the same submit issue exists in Acrobat 9 but not in the older Acrobat versions.
Is this a known issue and are there any workarounds/solutions?

PDF form open in viewer not browser

I'm having a problem with a PDF form on my website. I've tested it up and down with no problems, yet I'm getting feedback that users complete the form, click "submit" and nothing happens...and I don't get the form using form central.
I've determined that the problem is that users are completing the form in a web browser, rather than in adobe reader/acrobat.
I would like to make a change to the form, or something with my site that would automatically open the pdf in a viewer (or detect if the user does not have Acrobat) - versus having to hope that the user follows the directions that I've posted to my site.
Please help!

Yes, unfortunately when you post a PDF online as you discovered it does not work right when filled out in a web browser and you want/need users to download the PDF and use Adobe Reader or Acrobat to fill out the PDF. It sounds like you are likely doing what you can - directing users as to what to do, you can see if you can get a good recommendation from the Acrobat forums on this topic (it is a general PDF issue and not specific to FormsCentral): http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat

Combining PDF Forms with global elements

Hello all,
I have a bit of a problem with combining .pdf forms into a package. I was hoping that I could convert word documents into .pdf format, then convert them into forms using global bindings for basic information in the forms such as customer name and address. The problem is I would like to package the forms as required since all situations are not alike, and have the global bindings work within a package. Unfortunately it seems the only way global bindings work is within the same form unless you convert a word document into .pdf and combine the files into a single .pdf before you convert it into a form. Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

Basically you have to lay the whole thing out in LiveCycle.
I've done it by using the Replace Artwork (under the Edit menu) command on an existing form and selecting a pdf that has all the pages I need in it. Then you have to move the existing fields in your LC form to the proper pages.
Or, put together a pdf with all the pages, bring that into LC as a new form and then copy/paste your existing fields to where you need them.
I don't know if there's a better method hopefully someone else has some ideas. It would be a nice feature in a future version of LC to be able to add pages to an existing form.
