Profile impacted long term after fix

Hi,
My bband is been 12mb since my local exchange upgraded to 21cn, probably ~ 18 months or so.
But back in july/august i had line noise problems, they got resolved eventually (my god it was painful - but not to bring that up again). Anyway target noise margin went up and up, my profile was pushed down to 4mb, it quickly recovered up to 9.5/10mb, but has stuck there since, though obviosuly i'd prefer it to be back at 12.
Is a mod able to help reset the target noise margin or whatever is needed?, it's been connected for ages.
p.s. i don't use the bthomehub, but a linksys wag320n

Edit: Ok, this is likely the problem: Python was updated from 3.2 to 3.3. in "/usr/lib/python3.2/site-packages" are the eric files and also the reflector package files. Reflector is also broken, pacman -R'd that one. With the new Python version, the eric files should be in: /usr/lib/python3.3/site-packages
So, that seems to be the problem.

There were conflicts with python2 and python3 package naming conventions.

Packages that were removed as they were in conflict during the -Syu:

python-imaging became python2-imaging, python-simplejson became python2-simplejson, and python-notify became python2-notify.

I can't remove the new python2's that are in conflict as Turpial and Ubuntu-One client depend on them. (Both of those are in the official repositories).
Any suggestions?
Edit: And I just noticed a something probably quite important: eric is importing from Python 3.2 folders, Python was also updated to 3.3 with todays -Syu!

Result recording to be done after UD with long term inspection

Dear All
I have activated two MIC's for long term inspection. Inspection lot is created and UD is provided after Result recording. i have run QA12 and go to EDIT/RESET/INSPECTION COMPLETION. status of UD changed to LTIN and then in Qe51 / qe51n i selected long term inspection but error message is coming '' NO CHARACTERISTICS WERE FOUND". Plz help , how to do result recording after UD.

Dear Even if the char is long terms & if you have forcefully completed the chars then even if char has LTIN status it will not allow you.
But check this in your sandbox and revert.
1. In the MIC set the 'Optional Characteristic' and 'Long tem inspection ' in the control indiactors.
2. Attach MIC in inspection Plan
3. Do results recording and comlpete UD. all short term charactericts are closed.
4. QA12Change UD with history for Inspection Lot ,
Menu-> Reset inspection completion -> Status changes to LTIN
5. Goto QA02 --> you woudl see " do you wnat to compete Long term inspections" --> yes
6. Then Long term inspection characterictic is open for results recording.
7. Change and complete results --> Make UD
Check and Revert.

Mozilla, like many other software companies, thoroughly test their software before releasing it to the public and I'm sure that no problem you are having is intentional.
I do not work for Mozilla but I do have experience of releasing software for public usage.
Firefox has no way of knowing what other software is already on your computer and with millions of combinations it isn't always possible to test for every scenario.
You can go back to the old version of Firefox but that won't always solve your problem.

We invest funds in long term fixed deposit. On maturity data LTI should automatically convert STI and the balance in LTI account should get transfered to STI account. Has any one dealt with this kind of scenario, If yes please let me know how to configure this scenario in Account determination

Like Prasad said you can do a valuation class transfer. But this is not available in earlier releases ( I think only from EH2).
But it would be better if we could know the business logic for such a transfer. Why do you want to transfer to a short term FD on maturity date. On maturity date, the long term FD gets matured and that closes the investment correct. In case if your requirement is that the maturity amount is invested in another short term FD, then you can as well create a new short term FD transaction for the same or in case if the FD is extended for some time then you can check with the option of roll over.

The button's broken. S**t happens. Apple will replace your phone. If in waranty it will be free of charge. If not, you will pay $149.
You can elect to have it repaired at a 3rd party shop near you if you choose, but this will void all warranty if there's any left.

Using "Deleted Items" folder for long term storage.

I have a user that is using the "Deleted Items" folder in Outlook for long-term storage. He has unchecked the box in the options which would remove the items in the Deleted Items folder at shutdown
and is having problems with his Outlook freezing up several times a day. He was using a Microsoft Surface as his primary computer and has since changed to a Dell Latitude, but Outlook still freezes up. He has an Office 365 Pro Plus license.
I have been looking for articles to explain all the reasons for not using "Deleted Items" for storage, but in order to get him to change, This is not a .pst, it is the Outlook default “Deleted Items”.
. I really need some "ammunition" to let him know the consequences of keep that much mail in Deleted Items.
Could you tell me when Outlook starts, does it enumerate the Deleted Items folder as it does the Inbox?

I have to agree with Robert's point here. The question of whether or not the user should be doing this answers itself: of course he shouldn't. On a lighter note there's a Dilbert cartoon from 2003 which covers this very point:

I'd suggest you ask him to create a sub-folder of his inbox and get him to move everything over, then he still has his history and can use deleted items the way it was intended.
The question I would ask is are you sure that this has any bearing on his Outlook freezing issue? I have encountered people who never empty their recycle bin and I have encountered issues with Outlook freezing, but I don't recall ever having the two together.
If you still have issues after he's moved everything then it's a general Outlook freezing issue, so you have to look at those sort of things. For a start, is it bang up to date with Microsoft Updates? If so how big is his mailbox? Presumably he has an ost
file, so how big and fragmented is that? I'd probably try creating a new Outlook profile. If not then what add-ins does he have, could they all be disabled for a while to see if it's one of them, then add them back one at a time? If not is it worth running
a repair in Office? I've had that fix a fair few issues.
Just a few thoughts. I don't know if any of them will help.

Back to my Mac no longer works after upgrading to Lion
After I upgraded my home machines to Lion, I can no longer access them from my work computer, which is running Snow Leopard. When they were both Snow leopard, it worked fine. How can I get them working again? I don't have control over the OS on my work computer. Is it necessary for me to downgrade all of my home computers to Snow leopard in order to get them talking again?
Additionally the binoculars icon appears in the menu bar all of the time. In previous versions, this would only happen when somebody connected to my machine. Could these problems be related?

OK, so further investigation has addressed the BTMM issue on a remote machine.
With all machines running lion, I was having issues trying to log in to a standard user headless machine already running. In Snow Leopard, I had no issues with this since you can log in via screen sharing using an admin login that's running a standard login. Lion allows multiple accounts to be signed in which is handy since you can now run virtual sessions. This means you can admin the remote computer without bothering the remote user.
The problem was that now logging in using admin login brings up the admin account (which makes sense) instead of the desktop to the standard login. I applied a similar solution to a problem that was related to screen sharing I found on this board. What I believe to be the fix is to add the standard user to the screen sharing user list. Then screen share to the remote account using the standard user credentials.
So on the remote computer, in System Settings->Sharing->Screen Sharing, add the standard user to be allowed access. Previously I only had admins. This may not be an ideal solution for what I'm trying to do since the remote computers primary login is the standard user to be used as a common computer, but it now works so I am happy with it.
Now my only "problem" is my AEBS complaining about my MobileMe credentials, but it doesn't appear to have an impact on BTMM performance so I'll quietly wait for a fix down the road.

I routinely run Maintenance (http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs2/english/maintenance.html), a free app that—yep, you guessed it!—performs maintenance on your Mac. It uses a mix of maintenance scripts that are built-in to OS X (OS X runs them silently, but this allows them to be run on demand), and some of its own methods for cleaning a Mac to keep it running smoothly.
I've found that Maintenance does help—I definitely recommend it!—but the older my MacBook has become, it seems the less Maintenance can do to mitigate the slowdown that comes with age.

I don't think it's because the hardware is old by today's standards, because in my experience if you reformat any machine it will operate significantly faster, even after restoring all of the software that was removed by the format.
I've become increasingly suspicious about the hard drive's free space's effect on a system's performance. I've always known that it has a noticeable effect—less swap space for virtual memory—but I'm beginning to wonder if the effect of a mostly-full hard drive is much more than I have previously imagined. Just a feeling.

• I was under the impression that Disk Utility's “Repair Disk” would fix all non-permissions-related errors (other than physical damage, obviously). If they can be fixed by a backup-reformat-restore, then I take it they are software (filesystem) based problems. If so, why can't software solve the problem without a reformat?
Disk utility can and does repair permissions and basic disk errors. However it does not rebuild directory data.
• How exactly do directory structure errors happen, and what other consequences do they have (if any)?

I think this is your main issue. Try moving your itunes and movie to an external drive then see how your mac performs.
Also a good way to reclaim some space is to delete all the language localisations you dont use. It is amazing that iWeb alone can install a few 100megs of foreign language templates that you will never use.
I used to use Mike Bombich's delocalizer to do this but that app is not longer available so I use monolingual now.
edit, as you have macbook you are lucky in that it is really straightforward to install a bigger internal hard drive.
You can now get 5000GB 2.5 inch sata hard drives. You could take out the old drive hook that up to a usb to sata cable, install a bigger hard drive. then connnect the usb cable to your mac. Then boot from your Leopard Disk then use disk utility clone your old drive onto your new drive.

HP OMEN Control Software No Longer Works After Windows 10 Upgrade

HP OMEN Control no longer works after the recent Windows 10 update. Profile switching, keyboard LED colors, zones, fn key options, etc. no longer respond at all. I've found references to this issue during Windows 10 beta testing. Is there a temporary workaround? Will there be a driver update to remedy this problem? Thanks.

I just purchased a new 2015 refurbished PC. It worked great with Windows 8.1. Upon installing Windows 10, The Omen control did not work as well as the fan. Really - hardware failure. Give us a break. So, I went back to Windows 8.1. Also this year, I purchased an Envy X2. This PC included a bluetooth keyboard that kept detatching. Again - REALLY, the keyboard doesn't work. That's a pretty important part of the PC. I searched the forum for answers and all I found was the same old line that HP was working on it. I found meesages over a year old that had this same problem. So, back it went to Best Buy. I used to really like HP computers, but now, I can't say that anymore. So, do I trust HP to fix this in a timely manner, NO. Why - because they had to know about this issue alrady for quite a while. And, they did not fix it. I really hope they prove me wrong.!! I will give them 1 more week to fix it. After that, the PC will be returned. And HP PCs will be off my scratched off my list, except maybe the HP Spectre X360. To my amazement, I am even considering a MacBook Pro. Funny thing - the Spectre X360 is supposed to be a great laptop, But, Microsoft was heavily involved in the design process. That is certainly not an HP confidence buider. HP - THIS IS YOUR TIME TO "STEP UP TO THE PLATE" and fix this mess. TImes like these are opportuniies to win over customers or loose customers to the competiion. I really want to keep this PC. It is by your response to this problem that will determine the outcome.

Downstream IP Profile appears to be stuck/fixed

Hey guys, you've always been very helpful on here, hopefully you can help me with this issue.
I have an ADSL connection. For the past few years we have received a download speed of about 1.5 - 2 Mbps.
About a month ago BT Engineers were working at the green cabinets along the main road to my house. After this, my router resynced at downstream sync rate of 3Mbps. (see router stats below)
I assumed that my downstream IP profile would reset/increase after 10 days to the new 3Mbps, but it has stayed stuck at 1.82 Mbps (See bt wholesale speed test below)
Is my line stuck/fixed? and if so how can i get it unstuck?
A download speed increase of 1Mbps doesnt seem like much to some, but when you are a heavy internet user and only get 2Mbps every little helps.

As you are on adsl2+ your profile is 88.2% of connection speed and should change immediately - no longer waiting like adslmax Your profile is obviously wrong for the connection speed so as you have shown stable connection I would try 1 reset tomorrow morning and see if that fixes the profile. If not then repost your stats and btspeedtster results and we can see if mods will help

PXI-4110 Long-Term Fuse Reliability Recall

I home someone here can provide the info I am looking for. This past October I had a PXI-4110 Triple Output Supply go belly up. It would not pass self-test at all. Appeared to have no communication. After a $530 RMA repair, the board was fine. Today, I have 3 more of the exact same card (all purchased at the same time and only a short time out of warranty). All show the same error as the one in October. All failed in one day (today) with error number -200175. Speaking to NI I find out that it is most likely a fuse and it needs to be sent in on an RMA. Again at $530 a pop. To replace a fuse. A fuse that is apparently at the heart of a "Long-Term Fuse Reliability Recall" that specifically affects PXI-4110.
Now, at this point it is not even the money, (though it angers me to no end knowing I paid $530 to fix a product with a known defect and that was under recall, but was not informed of it), but the fact that losing the cards for the 10 business days will effectively cost over $50K in lost shippable product.
We have Certified soldering techs who work under a microscope replacing surface mount components all day. We can replace the fuse. My understanding is that the fuse gets "tired" and is replaced with a different one.
I need to know 2 things:
What is the original value of F9 on this card?
What is it replaced with?
I find it hard to believe that NI would not give me the info I need to make a quick repair. We did not receive any recall letter either. Can anyone help???

I believe that the situation regarding being charged your RMA is being resolved as your board was covered under the recall notification that was sent out. The notification was sent out to the company we have on record who purchased the board. The RMA charge would not apply for a unit under recall.
The recommended method for repairing the boards is to send them in to NI for repair. We cannot authorize the modification of our boards and it would void the warranty on the product. When the F9 Fuse blew it is possible that other components could have been damaged and also the action of replacing the fuse would likely change the calibration of the device. When sent back to NI for repair the device would undergo testing and calibration to ensure it meets all specifications.
We recommend that affected 4110's be sent in for a preventative repair.

Short, medium and long term planning in SNP

Hi,
can somebody explain me what Short, medium and long term planning mean in SNP?
Lets, say I have this scenario:
If I have a product with SNP horizon of 35 days, which means that the product is planned in SNP only after 35 days from today. Only PPDs deals with orders in these 35 days.
I have a 3 planning books
short term with 30 days from today
medium term with 7 months from today and
long term with 2 years from today.
When I say short, medium and long term planning in SNP what exactly happens in these ?? What do users usually do in these books?
SNP horizon is 35 days and the short term book is 30 days long, in which SNP does nothing. What's the use of this book?

Nothing much from a technical stand point.
What do users usually do in these books?
Check the Time Bucket Profile for the different books. The short Term Book will be in days, the mid term in weeks and the long term in months/quarters etc. The different books allows users to see the keyfigures in different time-based aggregate level.
But if Heuristic is executed then behaviour will be different. Remember SNP Location Heuristic run uses the bucket of the data view to compute the Net Requirement and then try creating Receipts in each bucket within the time horizon of the data view using suitable master data. So if you run Location Heuristic in the short Term (daily) view then you will have many receipts one per day most likely. If you run in mid-term Weekly view then there are less number of receipts one receipt per week till 7 months. likewise for the long term view.
SNP horizon is 35 days and the short term book is 30 days long, in which SNP does nothing. What's the use of this book?
Maybe just to see the data. Location Heuristic run will not generate any new receipt.

Long Term Planning Issue - Transaction MS04

Hi Experts,
I have two problems looking for solution from you.
1. Transaction Code MS04 -> After entered Planning Version, Material and Plant... I can see list of orders in the report. If I click Production Order, Planned Order, Inspection Lot document Element Details (on left hand additional function) and I am able to double click and display these documents. However If I double click Material Reservsation document It is not allowing me as I can't see "Display element (F7) Icon. How do I get the display element icon for Material reservation document also.
2. We have a lot of Quality Inpsection lots documents when we display in MS04 report but the problem here it is peggeging as requirements in Long term planning report. We want to just display the document here not as requirements.
Please let me know the solution for above two.

Dear NNeeti,
1.In CM38-->in the top menu --->under Planning ->Profiles->Overall Profile.
2For this over all profile check the Details in OPA6 T Code and find out the option Profile assigned to this over all profile.
3.Edit the details of this Option profile in OPA3 (change the number of days as 730 instead of 365 in the finish date).
Check with this setting in CM38 and proceed.
Check and revert
