Programmatic access to the Word Accessibility Checker
Hi,
I'm attempting to find a way to launch the Word Accessibility Checker from VBA or .NET code, manipulate which rules it is using and ideally have a collection of all the issues discovered.
I know the rules can be manipulated via group policy (see https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff602182.aspx) but this is not appropriate to our situation.
Any help or direction will be greatly appreciated.
thanks, Mark
Hi Mark,
Based on the description, you want to launch the Word Accessiblity Checker from code.
As far as I know, the Word object model doesn't expose this function at present. You can get more detail about it from link below:
Object model reference (Word 2013 developer reference)
If you want to the Word object model to expose this function, I suggest that you submit the feedback from link below:

I have converted a pdf to word. How can I access the Word file from my online account?
I have converted a pdf to word. How can I access the Word file from my online account? When it says 'download the converted file' I choose a location on my PC and click, but nothing happens. It seems that it can only save the converted file to my online account. I went to my online account but I see no way to look for the file
Hey Fabrizio,
You might need to sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf" using your Adobe ID credentials to convert your PDF file to Word.
Do you get the 'download' prompt?
Also, you can find the converted files by clicking at the 'Files' tab.
Please try the same using a different browser and check.
Hope to hear from you.

Using Forms OLE builtin to access word spell check
I am trying to find a way to utilize the Forms OLE built in for using MS Word spell check. We are upgrading our forms from 6 to 10g. In version 6 we were able to use OLE to open word and use it to pass in our string we wanted spell checked.
Is there a similiar feature in forms 10g?Jim,
the Forms9i demos have a PJC solution that does spell checking (http://download.oracle.com/otn/other/general/forms9iDemos9_0_0_1.zip). The Forms 10g version of the demo is not yet avaiable but will be soon. If time is short, then you can make the 9i sources work in Forms 10g with no extra work required.
A viewlet demo can be accessed through the following link
http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/forms/demo/9i/javabeans_pjc_samples/spellcheck/viewlet/pjc_jspell_viewlet.html

I purchased a book in advance. It is now in my library, but the word "paused" appears across the book and I cannot access. I assume the download did not complete, but I cannot seem to fix it. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping upward on the app window (not the smaller icon) off the screen.
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go. -
Mac won't update software or access iTunes shop. Message comes up with 'not connected to the net. Check connections' error. I still have internet access. Changed my Apple ID but no result. Repaired permissions and re-installed operating system.
It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?
(Fair disclosure: I may receive compensation from links to my sites, TheSafeMac.com and AdwareMedic.com, in the form of buttons allowing for donations. Donations are not required to use my site or software.) -
I just reported this as a bug to Adobe, as I think it is.
******BUG******
Concise problem statement: URLs generated from InDesign CC failed on Accessibility Checker (problem also exists in 2014)
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Generated URLs using hyperlinks panel in InDesign. When accessibility report is run, they are flagged as "Tagged annotations - Failed," listed as Element 1, 2, etc. The links are live and clickable.
2. To test, I removed all hyperlinks in Acrobat. It passed the test.
3. Then I used "Create Links from URLs." The links were re-created. Running the accessibility report brought up the same error message.
Results: The links created by Acrobat that actually do work fail the "tagged annotations" report. You have provided the tools to check accessibility, but the program itself can't generate URLs that pass the report.
Expected results: I should be able to easily create an accessible pdf, as your documentation says I can. This, along with the failure of your "articles" panel detailed in another bug report, strike me as a serious problem with InDesign that should be fixed soon, especially given that designers are required more an more to adhere to accessibility guidelines.I have call out boxes like this: All the links work correctly but they are divided with a tag for each line:

Hello,
For a few days I have been trying to access my files on Creative Cloud web without success. I´ve got this message only:
"Page temporarily unavailable. We will return soon."
"We are working quickly to resolve the problem and apologize for the delay.
Check back later or visit our website for status updates.
In addition, you can get help in the forums of the Creative Cloud.
Thank you for understanding!"
(I used Google Translate)
Somebody help? You do not need ?&promoid=KRUVP at the end of the url but it should not matter.
One thing to check is if your hosts file is modified. Open the Command Prompt and type: notepad %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
This will open a read-only copy of your host file in Notepad. Are there any entries in this file regarding adobe.com?
The other thing you can do is open the Developer Tools in the Chrome browser. On Windows press Ctrl + Shift to open them. Switch to the Network tab. Reload the page by pressing Ctrl + r. Check for any 4xx or 5xx errors which should be colored red.
Post screenshots of your results or send me a private forum message with the information. -

Anil LokaHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got error when communicating to the server.
This happens when crawler is not able to connect to the server. Make sure server name is correct. Couple of steps to troubleshoot it
You should be able to ping the server from the server having crawl component. Make sure there is an entry for the server in the host file under c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc folder.
Ping <servername>
2. You should be able to connect to the server using telnet command
Telnet< servername> <port number>
More information:
Troubleshooting of FAST Search Configuration
If the issue still exists, you can delete the old search application and recreate from the beginning.
You can also reset the index and do a full crawl after.

Can anyone help with this?
If you are using ES4 then you will have to install Designer SP1. After the installation, you will find the MACRO under the Tools menu. Please note, the there is still and issue with the language settings picking up correctly. A hotfix is available but you will have to contact Adobe to get the fix. You can also work around the issue by:
LiveCycle Help | LiveCycle ES4 SP1 | LiveCycle Designer | Quick Fix 1101.002
https://helpx.adobe.com/livecycle/quick-fixes/livecycle-es4-sp1/XMF-1013-001.html
Hope this helps.
BTW: I always check the accessibility checker in Livecycle and also the P.A.C checker as well. -

Hi ewhuntley,
It sounds like you may be running Acrobat 11.0.07, is that correct? If so, please choose Edit > Preferences > General. In the entry Scale for Screen Resolution, choose 100%. Save your changes, and restart Acrobat. Did that do the trick?

I need help viewing my photos on my 4th gen iPod Touch. When I choose the "photos" icon, I get a screen called "albums". At the top of the screen, sort of shadowed behind the word "albums" I can see a thumbnail of where my pictures are. What can I do to get back my "old" view of my pictures?
Thanks.
JudyBring up the Multitask bar by double clicking on the home button, search for the photo app icon, tap on it until it starts to shake, hit the minus icon in the left corner to close the app.
Close the task bar again and start the photo app again, this time it should work. -

Edited by: tea_or_kapi on Nov 20, 2009 10:44 PMHi Raju,
Try this. Create another dataprovider within your web template? This new dataprovider refers to a similar query, but this query definition should restrict values CG1, CG2, CG3 and CG4. Assign this dataprovider to your checkbox. Then make sure the properties of the checkbox affect all other dataproviders.
Also, if this list is static, you could create an HTML checkbox object coding the options (cg1, cg2, cg3, and cg4) programmatically. Then add javascript code to produce the proper filtering based on the users' selections.
Let me know what happens.
