Project missing when opening iMovie

I've just recently installed iMovie from the iLife pkg. I was able to start a new project and import my photos from iPhoto. When I closed iMovie and reopened, I don't see any of my still photos in the thumbnails to continue my edits. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong?

I can see my project on the source list, but when highlighted, and clicking through the folder, I see nothing. I see:
10.11.08 (a folder project I created)
Quicklook (a folder w/in my project folder)
My Project (a project file that is blank)
Hope that makes sense. Am I doing something wrong when creating New Project? I've tried a couple of times w/ the same result.

New project missing after closing iMovie

Here's the steps I took:
Created a new project
Shared that project to Vimeo no problem
Created a different new project
Tried to share to Vimeo but it kept saying the file was too large, so transfer failed (this project was about the same size as the previous one I uploaded to Vimeo)
I closed iMovie
When I opened it again, the project I had tried to transfer to Vimeo was now missing
I recreated the project, tried to upload to Vimeo, same problem - failed to upload
I shut down iMovie, restarted and again my project is missing!
But, what's strange is if I try and create a new project with the same name as the missing one, it tells me a project with that name already exists, and I have to choose a different name.
I'm so confused! And very annoyed that I may have to create this project a third time.
Any help?!

I have this problem too! Not quite the same, as I wasn't trying to export to vimeo, but it's otherwise the same: I create a new project, and then I close imovie. When I open imovie the next time, the project doesn't show up. When I go to "all projects" it says there are 14, but counting them there are only 13 shown!
I discovered a TEMPORARY fix, and I mean temporary because it's annoying and doesn't fix it permanently:
1. Create a second imovie library from the file menu (it doesn't have to have anything in it)
2. Right click your first library and "close" that library (it won't let you do this if it's the only one, hence step one)
3. Close imovie
4. find your original library in the "movies" folder and double click to open it.
iMoive will then open up and your projects will be shown under their respective events. HOWEVER, if you close imovie and open it again, they are gone again!

SVG connector lines missing when opened in Illustrator CS5

It has taken a while to jiggle SVG files saved in Inkscape and get them to open in Illustrator CS5. The files are basically a flow chart with some text and connecting lines between the rectangular boxes.
Now we are getting text and rectangular boxes to show when the SVG file is opened in Illustrator. However, the paths (or connector lines) that show the flow between boxes are not shown.
The file we are opening has about 10 layers and initially, it looked like just a blank document. We had to click the top layer in the layer group "on", to see all the layers. I guess the default is having the top layer "off".
When opened in a browser, the connector lines are showing up fine (although the arrow heads are turned sideways).
Suggestions for getting connector lines to show up in Illustrator?

I suppose Inkscapes equivalent of AI's Expand function would be advisable. I'd have to revisit inkscape one of these days, but I believe they are using styles to descripe the conenctors, not genuine objects, hence nothing shows up in programs that don't understand the Inkscape lingo...

Message tab missing when opening emails in Outlook 2013

Hello,
I have a client where their Message tab will sometimes disappear when opening a new email message window. They have to reboot the application to get the message tab to display again. It's pretty intermittent so it's hard to replicate at the snap of my fingers.
There are no errors in Event Viewer and all add-ins are acting correctly. Has anyone seen this or knows what to look for?

Are you using a custom form when creating a new email message? If so, please try clearing the form cache and then check if this issue will happen again. To do this, please follow:
1. Click File > Options > Advanced
2. Scroll to the Developers section, click Custom Forms button.
3. Click Manage Forms button.
4. Click Clear Cache button.
In addition, we can also try resetting your Ribbon to see if it helps. To do this, click New Email button to open a new email, click File > Options > Customize Ribbon, click Reset > Reset all customizations.

IMovie 9. Missing many project sections missing when reopen iMovie

Recently changed from iMovie8 to 9. Imported movies from iPhoto8.
Had worked on and almost finished project. Now re-open to complete it, and find that many segments how as blank with yellow "!". Saying "source clip is missing".
But the source clip I used shows up properly in the "Event Library."
The source was imported from iPhoto.

HI there, you can bring an IM6 project into IMovie 8, but you will loose all your edits, transitions, effects, etc. If you started a project in IMovie 6 I would finish it in there First. I use both IMovie 7 and IM6. They both are great at doing different things. You can use both as well. Ileen

IMovie Freezes when opening iMovie HD project

I am trying to continue my project that I started awhile ago in iMovie '07. The project is HD and about 2 gigabytes. But, when I try to open it in iMovie '08, iMovie stops responding and I have to force quit it.

Yellowish filter when opening iMovie projects created by the iMovie 4 or 5

I open the old iMovie project created by version 4 (maybe 5), in iMovieHD. There is a warning telling me that "The project was saved with an older version of iMovie. Opening it in this version will cause it to be upgraded, which will make it unreadable by older versions. Are you sure you want to open it?" I click OK and open and the clips/timeline come up, BUT - in the main window the clips look (and play) as if covered by a yellow filter. The projects are fairly recent (2005), created with the same camera I am using now - there was no problem at all last year. The only thing that has changed is that I have upgraded to iLife 6. Could anyon please help/explain what's going on?

I had the same exact problem, only my "filter" color was purple! It was easily solved though.
This was the answer that worked for me...
"It was pointed out in another thread that this has something to do with the playback setting in iMovieHD.
Go to Preferences->Playback
and change from the "Highest" setting, which seems to be set by default, to one of the others ("High" works for me). The purple cast goes away."

Login language missing when opening a web query

When I am opening a web query, e.g. using the execute button in Query Designer, I am not asked for the login language. Therefore, I am not able to chose the language. Instead, the language "DE" (German) is taken by default.
I want to execute the query in another language (English). I can do that by adding "language=en" to the URL, but this is not a solution.
I would like to have the option to enter the language together with the login information (user and password).
Why is the language selection missing?
How do I get the language selection?
In BEx (Excel) I have the language selection field.

When you log onto the SAP system, you must select a language. The following describes the process according to which the logon language is determined.
The browser that is connected to the SAP Web Application Server as a client also has language settings. With Internet Explorer, you can set the language you require by choosing Tools ® Internet Options ® Languages.
The logon language for the SAP Web Application Server is set according to the following process.
       1.      In transaction SICF, if the service has set the flag Mandatory Logon Data, the system uses the language that was entered there.
       2.      If this is not the case, but the HTTP request contains the language in the HTTP header (as a header or a form field), you log onto the system using this language.
       3.      The system then takes the browser settings. The system selects as the logon language the first language from the list that is maintained in the browser, and which is also installed in the SAP system.

Form Data missing when Opened

I been having problem with PDF files clients sent to our agents.
When the pdf is high-lighted in Outlook it will open in preview mode and shows all the data correctly.
When it is opened in Acrobat 9 Pro, the data is missing. This is true even when I used the Export Data function, the xml shows as empty.
Anyone know what is the cause of this issue? or how to fix it?

I am currently following up with the client to figure out what they are using that is causing this problem.
There however is no chance the wrong file is e-mailed however. Since the data is visible when previewing the attachment in Email.
I have no idea why the data associated with the file is readable by whatever preview mechanism Outlook 2010 uses, but somehow inaccessible to Acrobat Reader/Pro.
I am not sure if it is the Mac Preview program issue, but I do not believe they are using Macs. I will post the information as soon as I receive it.

Lr/ACR edits missing when opening dng to Ps

I´m using latest CC versions from Lightroom and Photoshop. Recently I have been having these issues with Photoshop opening file which don´t show basic edits done in Lr or ACR. Ps opens an original file.
I have also Nik plugins, could that be an explanation for this? On the other hand, I have had those plugins over a year and this missing edits issue came out just couple of days ago. I´m using .dng files and I´m opening file from Lightroom to Ps by "edit in photoshop" command.
I have reseted Ps and from Lr preferences "reset all warnings" has been done.
Any thoughts?

Lightroom 5 uses the equivalent of ACR 8.x and the Latest ACR Plugin available for PS CS5 is version 6.7.
When you use the "edit in function" from Lightroom you should be getting a warning dialog that offers the choice of "Render using Lightroom" or "open anyway". If you wish all the edits done in Lightroom you need to choose "render using Lightroom" if you choose "open anyway" then ACR 6.x may not be able to apply all the edits done by Lightroom.
If you do not see the missmatch warning it is because it was turned off in a previous session. From the Lightroom main menu bar go to ""Edit >Preferences >General tab > under Prompts select Reset all warning dialogs""

Project freezing when opening a EX24 instument at start up...force open???

Hi everyone, for whatever reason the project I was working on only an hour ago now wont open. It freezes when pre-loading an EX24 instrument and never reaches 100% so the song never loads.
I started a new project and opened up the same instrument and sure enough it works..i've checked the links and there's no problem with the folders or anything.
Any idea how to force open a document without it pre-loading. I can then remove the instrument and save again...
please help i'll be here all night otherwise! (well I will anyway..but)

oh and the apple + . doesn't do anything in this case..won't skip it!

I can't see the timeline or Project panel when opening my project

i dont know what happened, i clicked in a button and i dont know what button. My right video, the editor, and the timeline were gone, i was editing a video for 5 hours and a half. I saved the video, but when i open the project doesnt have a timeline and the right video dont have anything. I know that i dont lost my video, because when i open the project let a long time to open, and my other projects open normally. Just that project that's happening this. Anyone know what's going on? I need to show this project tomorrow. Thanks a lot.

Look, I can't drag anything to the timeline and to right video. I was saving and just gone everything. I can open the timelife, but when i close the premiere and open my project again, its not there, and my video doesn't appers. and i think that my project is intact because it takes 1 minute to open. And i saw my video is 2,7GB. Can u help me?

Final Cut project freezes when opening

I'm trying to open a Final Cut project (project file size is 22mb) on my MacPro, and when the status bar reaches 40% the program freezes. I can successfully open the same project on my MacBook Pro.
The project lives on an external hard drive (2 TB). The entire project, including all assets is 1.5TB. Both computers are running the same operating system and Final Cut 6.0.6. The only difference is the RAM. On my tower I have 5 GB and my laptop has 8, but I don't think this is the issue. I have tried reinstalling the software on my tower, making a new project file on my laptop and setting my scratch disks to the MacPro's desktop. Any help?

If this means that you are trying to use your system disc for your scatch media, forget it. The system disc has too many other things to do like running the OS, swapping files and running your programs. This will definatly cause problems.

Fonts missing when opening a PDF

When I open PDF's in Illustrator CS3 and I don't have some of the fonts used in the document it replace them. But what if I just want to get text as a vector curve and not editable for writing something else?

Ask the provider to outline fonts before saving as PDF. Otherwise, the fonts are embedded as type.
