In some cases the protocol handlers will not be registered...we did multiple installations...no success...we tried to post register some dlls...no success...
Appreciate any hint

It seems like it's having trouble talking to the registry; perhaps the user authenticated to Windows doesn't have permissions?
You could check to see if you have access to these Windows Registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Call Integration
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{8885370D-B33E-44B7-875D-28E403CF9270}

Hello Experts
I am trying to configure ADFS 3.0 with Sharepoint 2013 and facing an issue with ADFS 3.0 url
When I try to access url https://<ADFS.domain.com>/adfs/ls - I face following error
Encountered error during federation passive request.
Additional Data
Protocol Name:
Relying Party:
Exception details:
Microsoft.IdentityServer.RequestFailedException: MSIS7065: There are no registered protocol handlers on path /adfs/ls/ to process the incoming request.
at Microsoft.IdentityServer.Web.PassiveProtocolListener.OnGetContext(WrappedHttpListenerContext context)
But When I try to access ADFS url - https://<ADFS.domain.com>/adfs/ls/idpinitiatedsignon
It works..
Is it normal behavior or something wrong here.
Please suggest.
Thanks/adfs/ls/ is the endpoint for all "passive" protocols. a Plain GET to /adfs/ls wil complain (correctly) that the plain GET is not a correct SAML or WS-Fed message. You should only send correct messages to that EndPoint........

Registering URL protocol handlers
I'm having some trouble registering URL protocol handlers in WebLogic. The handler I wish to register is not an existing one (like http or https) so it should not conflict with any of the built in ones.
<pre>
// PROTOCOL_PACKAGE defined as java.protocol.handler.pkgs
// HANDLER_PACKAGE is defined as com.xxxx.xxxx
// In that package I have a yyy package with its Handler class.
String handlers = System.getProperty(PROTOCOL_PACKAGE);
if (handlers == null) {
System.setProperty(PROTOCOL_PACKAGE, HANDLER_PACKAGE);
else if (handlers.indexOf(HANDLER_PACKAGE) == -1) {
System.setProperty(PROTOCOL_PACKAGE, handlers + "|" + HANDLER_PACKAGE);
System.out.println(System.getProperty(PROTOCOL_PACKAGE));
</pre>
The output shows that the system property is properly set:
weblogic.utils|weblogic.utils|weblogic.net|com.xxxx.xxxx
If I try to create a URL I get the following error:
java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: yyy
This same code works for me on both JBoss and using Straight Java. I looked through the documentation and scoured the Internet trying to find an alternate way to register the protocol in WebLogic, but I found none.
Is there some reason why this would not work in WebLogic?
Thanks

Cannot use protocol handlers.
Hello
I read the protocol handlers in the Cisco Jabber for Windows Administration Guide. I use three protocol handlers "IM: , XMPP: and TEL:" into my html pages.
But, It cannot work and I got the unknown protocol from the web browser.
Also, I cannot find three protocol handlers in the Windows registry. It look like the Jabber is not defined as the registered protocol handler for IM: , XMPP: and TEL: .
How can I fix the problem ?
Thank you!
AndyHi Andy,
Is Jabber for Windows running on a Windows 7 OS with UAC (User Access Control) enabled? Jabber writes to following registry locations to register protocol handlers.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\tel\shell\open\command
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\xmpp\shell\open\command
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\im\shell\open\command
If you don't see these values then you are hitting known bugs. There are two defects opened around this.
CSCua81724: tel protocol handler does not work when UAC is enabled
CSCua81752: xmpp protocol handler does not work when UAC is enabled
As a workaround you can try to "run jabber as administrator".
Thanks,

Program B1IRFCxx not registered
Following the steps in the Guide to generate R/3 Configuration to run SAP B1i... we have defined the RFC destination. But when pushing Test connection button we get the error 'program B1IRFC00 not registered'. This error is from the Gateway Error Codes groups, where it gets return code 679 - TP not registered.
The program ID B1IRFC00 is the same as in B1i landscape initialization. On the other hand the Test connection from B1i Landscape initialization of R3 system works fine. Restart of Tomcat does not help.
Has anyone idea how to overcome this issue?
Thanks
LubosLubos,
OK ... but this link is different from the documentation that comes with B1i. My thought was possibly you would find something based on this document.
Also ... in your email ... you have three different environments. I understand the frustration you are having, but can we pick one and try to troubleshoot that one. Maybe #2 from your email?
If we look at number 2 ... here are the areas that you need to verify ...
1. Verify that the Apache Tomcat Server service is running and is using the Local account for login or an administrator login for the system.
2. Verify that the DI API and specifically the JCO (Java Connector) is installed.
Path = ...\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One DI API\JCO\LIB
3. Verify in the SQL Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server 2005 Network Connections > Protocols for MSSQL Server, that TCP/IP is enabled and then also verify that the same is true for SQL Native Client Config > Client Protocols that TCP/IP is enabled.
4. The B1i start page you are connecting to is ...
http://<server>:<port>/B1iXcellerator
5. The login for B1i 2007A would be ...
login = sa (SQL Server login)
password = the MS SQL Server "sa" password NOT B1iadmin as in older version of B1i (unless that is the MS SQL Server password).
See the B1i Troubleshooting Guide that I have sent you via email...
Let me know,

11gR2 Install Error, Listener is not up or database service is not registered with it
Hi all,
I'm currently studying towards my OCA, I've passed 1z0-051 (SQL Fundementals I), and now I'm moving onto 1z0-052 (Admin 1).
Im really having trouble creating a database in Oracle 11g R2 Enterprise Edition. I install the software no problem. Then I create a database, and during the creation I have to createsa listener which uses TCP (default port:1521) and IPC. whilst creating the database I get the following error
'Listener is not up or database service is not registered with it. Start the Listener and register database service and run EM configuration Assistant again.'
Now, before you lynch me, I have searched this forum for answer to this for a day and a half. I've also tried google, i just can't find a answer that sorts out my problem. please assist me.
I'm running on Windows 7 Professional (32bit) (I have previously tried on the 64 bit version with teh same results).

DamienSOLVED!
OK all solved now, thanks to the link to Ed Stevens website that Baris posted (mucho respect )
Seems that like Barus said I was not using Dynamic Registration, which means that I would need to manua
ly update the listerner.ora file. On top of that it seems that for some my tnsnames.ora wasn't resolving mt database name so the tnsping wasfailing.
What I did to solve the name resolution problem
1. Opened the
Network Configuration Assistant and saw that my listener didnt have my DB registered with it. So I added it. What this horrible GUI tool does is update the tnsnames and listener.ora files for you. So once that was done I went to the command prompt and did ;'tnsping <dn name> and hey presto it was getting a nice response.
Then I re-ran my DB Configuration Assistant and tried to reconfigure my database. However it aing failed and gave me the same message that I was originally getting about the DB Service not being registered etc..the lister status still said that same thing:
Services Summary...
Service "CLRExtProc" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "CLRExtProc", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
the 'unknown' means that the DB didnt tell the listener that it was there but instead the listener is in manual mode and will just use the configuration in the listener.ora to know where the DB is.
So then I followed the steps on the ED Stevens website (follow the link). He has steps which show how to enable Dynanmic registration so that your DB regusters itself with the listener. In a nutshell, he states that he listener actually doesnt need the listerner.ora if using dynamic registration. I shutdown the DB, stopped the listener then I renamed the lsitener.ora to listerner.old, then started the lietener and checked the status and it said 'the listener supports no service' I then started the DB and, then resched teh listener status, it then read 'status: READY'... hooray!, the DB had dynamically registered itself with the listener. I then was able to successfully start up and run Enterprise Manager.
Thanks for all your help Baris, and Ed Steven website.
I know more now than when I started so I'm happy.
Thanks. -

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
DHCP dynamically allocates and assigns an IP address to network devices.
DHCP enables you to connect an IP phone into the network and have the phone become operational without your needing to manually assign an IP address or to configure additional network parameters.
DHCP is enabled by default. If disabled, you must manually configure the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and a TFTP server on each phone locally.
Cisco recommends that you use DHCP custom option 150. With this method, you configure the TFTP server IP address as the option value. For additional supported DHCP configurations, go to the "Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol" chapter and the "Cisco TFTP" chapter in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager System Guide.
Note
If you cannot use option 150, you may try using DHCP option 66. -
Cisco 7941 Not Registering in CME 8.6
Hi
I would appreciate if somebody could really help me with this. The status-> Firmware version list on my phone is as below:

JVM Load ID:cvm41sccp.9-3-1ES13.sbn

Boot Load ID:boot41.3-2-2-0.bin

I want to use my Router as my TFTP and it has CME 8.6. The problem is that my 7941 phone does not register at all. Is it something to do with my firmware incompatibility? Being not sure of myself I came here to seek your help. The image attached are from the 'Debug tftp events' in the router and 'status messages' from the phone. Please help me! Thank you.
*btw I do get IP addresses and TFTP address from the Router. When I do 'show ip dchp binding' I can see the IP address leased from the DCHP.
*under 'show flash' command there is nothing except the router image.Hi

Cisco SIP Phone 9971 will not register on CME 8.6
Hello,
I'm trying to configure a Cisco SIP Phone 9971,
but it won't register on CME 8.6, which is running on a 2811
The Phone shows this error message: Phone Not Registered.
And when I check the the Status Messages in the Phone, I see the following:
VPN Error: vpn is not configured
Actually, it shows all these 4 messages in a constant Loop:
12:01:59a SEP189C5DB6BD09.cnf.xml (TFTP)
12:01:59a No Trust List instaled
12:01:59a Updating Trust list
12:02:00a VPN Error: VPN is not Configured
It seems that this VPN Error is keeping the Phone from registering.
This is repeated for ever and the Phone never registers; at least that's what it appears.
However, when I do a sh voice register pool, I get the following:
C2811#sh voice register pool 1

This sh voice register pool seems to indicate that the Phone has actually registered.
But I still get the Phone Not Registered message on the screen!
I did some Debugs and they also seem to indicate that the Phone has indeed registered:

So frankly, I have no idea why the Phone keeps showing the Phone Not Registered message.
I'm pasting the Router's config.
I hope somebody is able to point me in the right direction.
Here is the config. Thank you!

C2811#VPN is not Configured prints on all phones now with the built-in VPN client if VPN isn't configured. That's normal and is just cosmetic. That should not be causing your registration issues.

Sun application server 8 -- Can not regist.
I have install the server, run it. All seems ok, untill I want to deploy a web application. The error msg in admin console is put below.
" A 'com.sun.enterprise.tools.guiframework.exception.FrameworkError' was caught. The message from the exception: "Unable to get View for ViewDescriptor 'webApplications'"
The root cause is 'com.sun.enterprise.admin.common.exception.MBeanConfigException: Component not registered'
See the HTML source for more detailed (stack trace) information."
But I have registed the product. What is wrong in the processing?
How you guys regist the this product?
Thx

Class not registered Exception while initializing a new instance of SpeechRecognizer Class
Hi,
in my Windows 8.1 Store App with HTML/Javascript I want to use Bing Speech Recognition Control.
But when I call the contructor of Bing.Speech.Recognizer Class with the language and the authorization Parameters a WinRT "Class not registered" error occurs.
What could be the reason for this problem?
I am using Visual Studio 2013.4 by the way.
Thanks in advance.You need to follow all the steps here:

Hi Tony,
I wonder if there was a regression between 8.1.1 and 8.1.2? Anyhow,
since the weblogic.jar works on the client, and since you verified
your classpaths, it seems quite likely the problem is in WebLogic.
I recommend two things:
(1) ensure that you are using a supported version of the JVM
(2) filing a support case and using weblogic.jar
as a temporary work-around while the problem gets fixed
Sorry I couldn't help you more.

After reading many posts on different forums, I have found that overriding Chromium's internal protocol handlers is notoriously difficult. Some, like mailto:, use a hardcoded command name like xdg-email which doesn't work very well when not using one of the major desktops, while others don't work as expected for any number of reasons.
Which is why I've come up with a way to add any user-defined protocol that Chromium doesn't already handle using xdg-open.
The following example deals with adding an override for the mailto: protocol handler, to have it use xdg-open instead of xdg-email to start the email client.
The process is in 3 steps:
1. Add a .desktop file for the protocol handler override
2. Tell the system to use the protocol handler override
3. Tell Chromium to use the protocol handler override
Step 1: Create the file $HOME/.local/share/applications/chromium-mailto.desktop with the following contents:
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=Chromium mailto: override
Comment=Override the Chromium mailto: protocol handler
GenericName=Override the Chromium mailto: protocol handler
Exec=xdg-open $(echo %u|perl -pe 's/^x-chromium-mailto://; tr/+/ /; s/%([a-fA-F0-9]{2,2})/chr(hex($1))/eg;')
Terminal=false
Type=Application
MimeType=x-scheme-handler/x-chromium-mailto
NoDisplay=true
Step 2: Tell the system about the new MIME type
In a terminal, execute the following command:
$ xdg-mime default chromium-mailto.desktop x-scheme-handler/x-chromium-mailto
Note: the path to the .desktop file must be relative to $HOME/.local/share/applications !
Step 3: Tell Chromium to use the protocol handler override
First, close all open Chromium windows. This is very important for the following changes to 'take'!
Assuming you use the Default profile in Chromium, open the following file in an editor: $HOME/.config/chromium/Default/Preferences
Within the curly braces, for example under the lines:
"cloud_print": {
"email": ""
add the following:
"custom_handlers": {
"enabled": true,
"registered_protocol_handlers": [ {
"default": true,
"protocol": "mailto",
"title": "mailto: override",
"url": "x-chromium-mailto:%s"
Test that everything works by starting Chromium, then clicking on a mailto: link, for example the Contact link at the bottom of http://oswatershed.org.
The first time you click the link, Chromium will ask for permission to run the command, so you can check that it is correct. Check the checkbox to have Chromium remember your choice.
Comments and suggestions are very welcome.

KABA connection issue - program not registered
I am trying to troubleshoot a connection error between SAP and KABA. I have the RFC created in SAP and when I test the connection I get a program not registered. The KABA "amsproc" service on the KABA side has been restarted, we have occasionally received a password locked message in the SAP system log after restarting the KABA service (I believe this means SAP and KABA are communicating). We have since reset the password, but we can not successfully test the RFC and when attempting to send IDOC's out we get the program not registered error. Is there something on the SAP side that needs to be done to register the program or is starting the service on the KABA side going to register the program with SAP? Any assistance would be appreciated.
Hi,
In Central Management Console ie, Admin application of BOE, you need to configure the BW system. Use the below URL,
http://<serverhostname>:<port>/CmcApp
After logging in Select the Authentication and SAP as authentication type. Regarding how to configure, follow the configuration steps mentioned in the below article:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a00ee3b2-5283-2b10-f1bf-8c6413e0898f
Once you import the roles with the above configuration, the user with which you are validating the RFC connection will be imported in the BOE.
Now, verify the RFC in the BW system.

Upload Error message: HTTPS protocol is not supported
Hi,
Whenever I do a quick par upload i'm getting an 'Operation failed' message to check sap-plugin.log.
Log says
Upload Error message: HTTPS protocol is not supported, please ensure this server is not using HTTPS. My webdynpro applications are getting deployed without any issues.
How to resolve this?
Thanks
SumathiHi Sumathi,
As there are often problems with the Quick PAR Upload reported, I would suggest to use the "normal" PAR upload from the icon tray (you have to activate the portal icons in the icon tray). That is almost that "quick" (one or two clicks more needed, we don't talk about more than a second) and - it works (it least it should, and at least it works in most cases even if the Quick PAR Upload fails).
Hope it helps
Detlev
