PS CC autom. generate function for layers (LAYER.PNG) export file with a black Background!

I generate my ps layers as PNG files (LAYER.png), but since a while it just export my layers with a black (.png) or white (.png24) background. Why? I can't find a solution.. it is so random!
I'm thankfull for any help!

Ok, I forgott to say that I use the PNG's in After Effects. Now I know that all Versions of AE can't show small PNGs with transparency backgrounds! Just After Effects CC can do this.
So this are the two solutions:
1. Buy After Effect CC
2. Work with a batch script, to re-saves the PNGs after the export.

I ususally do that type of thing with a state machine... read a token, look for what is next, and if it's the closing token, I don't write it out. You have well defined opening token syntax and closing token syntax, so it should be relatively easy.

Go to settings> general and scroll down to multitasking geastures, turn them on and by swiping with four fingers from the right side of the iPad to the left and back you can switch between apps. I think this is what you need I'm not sure, I hope it helps

Automated mail function for sales order acknowledgement

Hi Friends,
We have a requirement for automated functionality for sending mail to the sold to customers when the order is first saved.
We already have a customer program to convert into PDF and mail directly.
But this is to automatically send the mail to sold to customer. I think for acknowledgement we have already a existing outputtype.
I understand that we need to maintain the mail address over the customer master of the sold to.
Apart from this, is there that we need to maintain to have this automated functionality of sending mails.
I had tested with existing Z otuput type by changing the transmission medium to 5 and entering my own email id where it prompts to enter mail id. But it wont send any mails.
Just wondering if we have any determined steps that i can follow.

Hi:
Order acknowlegement output BA00 or your copy of this one is capable of using medium 5 to send SMTP mail to an external address ( even PDFs can be attached is your want). When you trigger the medium 5 output, did the output get process successfully and you get a green light in your output screen? If not, have a look to see if a communication strategy is assigned. If yes, your configuration is OK. What is missing is mostly likely that Basis have not set up SAPCONNECT to send SMTP mail externally for you.

Automating the filename prefix in Layer Comps to files...

Hi All
I'm hoping someone can help me with some automation. I have no real clue about scripting, I just know that clever things can be done, hopefully someone could point me in the right direction!
I'm superimposing some t-shirt designs onto images of blank t-shirts.
Each different colour T-shirt (15 colours) is on an individual layer, so I have 15 layers.
So to create 15 images of a given t-shirt design (one image for each colour shirt) I need to:
1) Import a design onto the top layer
2) Update all 15 layer comps
3) Hit the 'Layer Comps to Files' button
4) Put a unique identifier into the filename prefix field
5) Go to 1)
So I guess my question is this:
Can I automate any more of this? For example can I have the filename prefix pulled in from the Layer name? So I'd just name the top layer (with the design on) and PS would pull that layer name into the filename prefix field?
And can I update all those layer comps automatically (when I put the next design on) rather than selecting each one and updating manually?
Any help appreciated from a scripting novice!

If you turn the top layer with the design into a smart layer then manually update the layer comps once and save the file as a template you can then use the menu item Layer-Smart Object-Replace Cotents... to change out the design in a way that would no longer require updating the layer comps. Changing the content of a smart object does not effect the layer comp status like adding a new layer would.
In the Layer Comps to Files.jsx if you find the line
var fileNameBody = exportInfo.fileNamePrefix;
and replace it with
var fileNameBody = app.activeDocument.layers[0].name;// top layer name
The script will no longer use the prefix from the dialog and instead use the top layer's name as the prefix.
To automate the whole process would require creating a custom script. The Layer Comps to Files script was not written to be called from another script.

No Audio and White screen for mpeg layer 3 Avi files

I reinstalled OSX on my macbook which previously played all avi files with no difficulties. Now I am having difficulties playing Avi files with quicktime PRO that use the Mpeg layer 3 codec. I have done the following with no success: downloaded flip 4 mac, divx, xvid, 3ivx, Xvid codecs, changed MIME settings, and deleted and reinstalled. The files still play using VLC but I would like to use quicktime pro. PLease help!

Depending on the specific version and sometimes the ordering in which they were installed, you may have created a conflict among the components here. While most current VidX components should be able to play MPEG Layer-3 audio, v5.1.1 is the only free VidX codec that is bi-directional. If that is not a problem, then I would recommend you remove (or "hide") all components in the main "Library > QuickTime" folder. Next I would determine if one (or more) of the AVI associated components can actually play the specific files mentioned on their own. You do this by installing a compenent to be tested, opening the player with one of the problem movies, and checking for correct audio and video playback. Log your results, close the player, remove the tested component, and move on to the next component to be tested. Once you deterime which component(s) may function correctly, I would then move on to determine which specific components are in conflict by repeating the tests but leaving the components installed after each test. In this case start with a component that is known to work and is the one you most desire to use (if more than one works). If the player stops working, then you have located a potential conflict. Set the offending component aside and continue testing until all components have been tested and are either installed or set aside. The last step is to simply evaluate component alternatives and configure you system for those files most often played. In my case the VidX v6 Pro components did not seem to get along with the 3ivX D4 v4.5 and/or Casio AVI and/or XVIDDelegate component combination.

Need to export file with different layers selected automatically

I have a file with a background and various text layers.
I want to select each text layer individually and export them to a file, but I don't want to do this manually because it would take a lot of work.
My question is, how would i tell photoshop to export X numbers of files. Where X=number of text boxes.

I still don’t quite follow: Should the resulting files combine one of the text-layers with the lowermost layer or display only one of the layers?
Because I thought Export Layers to Files would do the second.
Anyway, the following might help, You would have to enter Your intended gif-settings in the Script manually though (see »Photoshop CS4 JavaScript Ref.pdf« or ExtendSctipt Toolkit’s Help > Object Model Viewer for the correct nomenclature for the various options).
And You should adjust the naming-procedure to Your liking, I didn’t use the actual layer-names to avoid possibly overly long names.
Paste the following text into a new file in ExtendScript Toolkit (part of Photoshop’s installation) and save it as a jsx-file into Photoshop’s Presets/Scripts-folder.
After restarting Photoshop theScript should be available under File > Scripts and can be assigned a Keyboard Shortcut directly, recorded into an Action or (in CS4) be used in a Configurator-Panel.

Layer Comps To Files with no number count in the middle

I have tried to find it and // it out with no success. I would like to have it when I "Layer Comps To Files" the it won't put the _0000_,_0001_, Etc.. in the middle of every file the comps are named acording ly so that when i do "Layer Comps To Files" i can add a bit to the front and the remainder of the comp name is enough i don't need count in the middle of the file.
I had asked in a different post how to "Load Files to Stack..." could i instead have the "Layer Comps To Files" disreguard .png or .jpg in the end of the layer comp?

stood out but i'm no scripter so help

I took a quick look at that script. for Windows it may not be too big of a deal, but for Macs, there is something in there that requires the file names. It's easy to break those scripts, so it might be better to write a script that removes the file name later. something like this, which assumes that there are no groups and the layer names only have one "." in them before the extension. I haven't tried this, as I'm don't have PS loaded on the computer I'm using.

How to save for web AND overwrite original files with Action?

Hello,
I want to compress a batch of images with "save for web" using a Photoshop Action, and I also want to preserve my folder structure and overwrite source files. The structure is important because it's complex and needs to be structured this way.
The Problem:
When I choose "save for web", I must define a destination. What happens is all optimized files from within the structure are saved in a single location.
Here's an example of the folder structure
Folder A
     - Subfolder A1
     - Subfolder A2
Folder B
     - Subfolder B1
     - Subfolder B2
          -Subfolder B2.2
Folder C
     -Subfolder C1

Web browser for running locally saved html file with Marquee Text

I have a html file contain Marquee text.
I want to display that html file in oracle forms(10g).
I already use simple html browser but it does not support marquee text.
I already tried to convert the html file into Gif file but Marquee text not appear in gif file.
Is there any browser which support the locally saved html file with marquee text and also it can be embedded in oracle form.
Or is there any way for display that html file within the oracle forms.
Remember I don't want to display that file in separate window.I want to display that html file within the form.

Automated scripts/macros for UB print and fab file generation

Hi,
I'd like to automate PCB layer printing and all fab file generation. I'd love to see something like this built unto UB, but I'm assuming I'll need to use some kind of a macro recorder for this. I can get AutoIt for free.
Has anyone done something like this?
Does MS/MB have the proper tags on the various buttons to allow this to work well? Or do I need to use screen physical location control to do it?
Anybody know what I'm even talking about?

Hello,
There's no innate function in UL or MS for any of this but as you said you would have to use a timer and placement macro maker program. I've used Jitbit's Macro Recorder (it allows for timing and placement of mouse along with keyboard recording as well as configuring), I think it might help.

Check this check box so that Cisco Unity Connection gets basic information on Connection users from the LDAP directories that you specify on the LDAP Directory page. Data is synchronized only for the Connection users that you created by importing users from the LDAP directory. Connection does not automatically create new Connection users when new users are added to the LDAP directory.

How to extract the red layer from BayerRG8 file with VBAI?

Dear readers,
We're currentely trying to build a inspection program using a CVS and two cameras.
A first question to help us: How can we extract the red layer from a Bayer RG8 image?
To illustrate a lit bit more: lets take a picture of chilis and tomatoes plants. We would like to extract the red color of the picture to know where the vegetable are and if they are eatable.
So, in a first time, we just want to see the red layer of the picture.
On a second step, we would like to extract the poistion of the red areas and rank them according to intensities and store all the relevant data in a .txt file.

Maybe including a picture with the info you want would help. It sounds like you could use a detect object step (which works with color images), and you could get the position of all red objects. I would also recommend using the Hue plane instead of the Red plane to look for color since this is more robust to lighting changes. Once you have the bounding box for each red object, you can create a programmatic ROI around it and use the Measure Color step to get detailed color information about your reb objects. Here's a sample inspection that uses colored candy to give you an example of what I'm suggesting. Let us know if more specifically what you are looking for if this doesn't help. The example is in VBAI 2012. Let us know what version of VBAI you are using because this may affect what functionality you can use.
