PS Integration with PP with respect to Make to order projects

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement that our customer is having only Make to order projects ,In this aspect Is there any Integration with PP.
Thanks In Advance.
Regards
Madan

Hi,
Please search the forum there are various threads releated to this topic.
There are various ways doing this.
Attach a finished material to the activity in cj20n and then run MRP .System will create Planned Orders/PRs on the basis of Material type whether the material is meant for internal Production or for prourment.
So in your case after MRP,a planned order will be created and then you convert to a Production Order.
Issue the raw materials to the production order and confirm the operations and a finished product will be produced and then you issue to your project.

  • Make-to-order Project

    Hi gurus: Have a question. We have make-to-order projects. When we move the final product (material attached as a component in the network) to finished goods, the cost picked up is the standard cost in the material master. This screws our COGS and our RA as it is not picking up the variance either between the actual cost and standard cost. Is there any to fix this? Is there any way to pick up the variance in RA. Thx!!

    Hi,
    You can check in OME9 transaction for your such account assignment category ''P'' and ''Q'' for your due understanding.  Basically, "P" account assignment category (AAC) is used if you would like to make external purchasing and charge the costs of material acquisition to your WBS element.  This is considered as for direct consumption purchase (as similar to the case of "K" account assignment category where cost center cost object is used).  Yet, in case of "Q" AAC, this is for project stock purchase where the project stock quantity will be increased as soon as GR is posted.  This is, therefore, not for direct consumption but for project stock replenishment.

  • Make to order item

    Hi Experts,
    I want to create Make-to-order.but when I entering material, it is showing an error message "item category can not determined...". I also created material with item category group(0001-make to order). should I enter item category manually in the sales order for the make-to-order item? I also created material (MM01) with Industry sector-mechanical engineering and material type- semi finished material. should I select finished product here? Please advice me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    The item category determination in VOV4 needs to be done for the combination Sales order type /Item category group (here - 0001/- / - = TAK.
    Also check Setting of TAK (MTO item) in VOV7 and maintain VOV5 and determine Schedule line Category CP .
    Then Punch the Order VA01 with the MTO item category which you have maintained in MM01.

  • Schedule Line for Make to Order Item.

    Hello
    In make to order scenario,  there are 2 schedule lines for the MTO item in create mode of Order. 0 confirm quantity on the req
    When I save the order, i can see only one schedule line with confirm quantity 0.

    Hi,
    Make-to-order production is controlled by the requirements type. The requirements type is
    determined on the basis of the MRP group and the strategy group in the material master record.
     Create material by specifying item category group as 0001 = Make u2013 to u2013 order (Normal item)
    In MM01 Basic data tab, General item category field [0001] = Make u2013 to u2013 order, 0002 for configurable
    material
    Make u2013 to u2013 order checking group for availability check should be [02] = Individual requirements in Sales:
    General/Plant tab.
     Go to VA01 and raise the sales order by specifying this material that we created in the previous step
    Item category is TAK
    Schedule line category = CP
    Requirement type = KE [Sales order Header  Procurement  Requirement field]
    KE = Individual customer order without consumption
    (For standard items item category group = NORM)
    System determines requirement type 041-order/delivery requirements. This requirement type points requirement
    class where we can control whether the system has to carryout TOR, Availability check, and Product allocation
    functions.
    Hope this helps.

  • Best practice for integrating oracle atg with external web service

    Hi All
    What is the best practice for integrating oracle atg with external web service? Is it using integration repository or calling the web service directly from the java class using a WS client?
    With Thanks & Regards
    Abhishek

    Using Integration Repository might cause performance overhead based on the operation you are doing, I have never used Integration Repository for 3rd Party integration therefore I am not able to make any comment on this.
    Calling directly as a Java Client is an easy approach and you can use ATG component framework to support that by making the endpoint, security credentials etc as configurable properties.

  • Integrated Business Processes with ERP Systems Textbook

    This forum will move to the New SCN as part of our migration to a new platform. Once we make that move, on December 5, it will become a read-only discussion. It will be searchable but will not be part of the site navigation.  If you have questions, please contact me, [Gali Kling Schneider |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/bc?u=6v4sgatytpg%3d].

    Dear Dr. Word,
    I am a graduate student of MIS at Northern Illinois University. I took Dr. Yipeng Liu’s course of Advanced Topic of Information Systems using your textbook - Integrated Business Process With ERP Systems. Your textbook is great. I have a question to discuss with you.
    On page 62 of your textbook, I don’t think the accounting process of purchasing supplies is correct. In the example, “GBI purchases office supplies for $500 with a check. Office supplies are expensed; that is, they are defined as money spent rather than treated as an asset upon purchase, even if some of the supplies remain unused. In this case, the relevant accounts are bank and supplies expense.”
    Actually, supplies unused are assets of companies. Otherwise we don’t need an account called supplies at all. In the given example, I think we should credit $500 to bank account and debit $500 to supplies account. If at the end of the fiscal year, we used only $300 supplies, then we credit $300 to supplies account and debit $300 to supplies expense account. This is the typical process of supplies accounting.
    “Office supplies are expensed; that is, they are defined as money spent rather than treated as an asset upon purchase, even if some of the supplies remain unused. “ This practice actually goes against the Matching Principle of General Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP). It’s not a good example especially in textbook, even though lots of companies are doing real business like this.
    I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts of my comments on supplies accounting of your textbook.

  • Integration of SD with other modules

    Hi experts,
      Can somebody kindly tell me some good links or documents regarding the integration of SD with other modules, with respect to STOCK TRANSFER, CROSS COMPANY FUNCTIONONG, PROCESSING OF COMPLAINTS, SPECIAL ORDER TYPES and BASIS IN INTEGRATION (project experience or participation in case study)

    <b>Complaints Processing</b>
    Implementation Considerations
    You can process complaints in the following ways:
    Example 1: The customer returns the goods. You create a return to process the transaction.
    - If the customer wants a refund for the amount, enter a credit memo with reference to the return.
    - If the customer wants a replacement product, enter a free-of-charge subsequent delivery with reference to the return.
    Example 2: The customer does not send the goods back.
    - If the customer wants a refund, you enter a credit memo request with reference to the sales order or the invoice.
    - If the customer wants a replacement product, you create a free of charge subsequent delivery with reference to the sales order.
    Example 3: The price is wrong.
    For example, the discount was forgotten or the scaled prices were miscalculated. You then enter an invoice correction request with reference to the invoice.
    Example 1
    You sent the customer 100 pieces. The customer sends 30 back because they were damaged during transport. You create a return for 30 pieces and then either a credit memo or a free-of-charge delivery with reference to the return.
    Example 2
    The customer reports that a further 10 units were so damaged that they threw them away. You enter either a credit memo request or a free of charge subsequent delivery with reference to the sales order or invoice.
    Example 3
    100 units were calculated at 10 USD per unit for the customer. However, due to a promotion they should have been calculated at 9 USD per unit. You enter an invoice correction request with reference to the invoice and enter the price as 9 USD per unit.
    Prerequisites
    Process Flow
    You decide which one of the above scenarios is most similar to the type of complaint you are processing.
    Enter the appropriate sales document, with or without reference to an order or invoice.
    You can change the settings in Customizing so that the sales document is automatically blocked for a delivery or billing. This means that the system does not create a free-of-charge delivery or a credit memo until you have had the opportunity to check the goods or clarify the complaint.
    Once you have checked the goods or clarified the situation, you can:
    - Approve the complaint by releasing the sales document.
    - Reject the complaint by entering a reason for rejection in the sales document.
    If you do not need any release procedures for credit memo requests, you can also create a credit memo with reference to an invoice. In this case, you do not need either the credit memo request or its release.
    <b>Result</b>
    Once you have released the sales document, you can create a delivery or a credit memo.
    <b>Special Order types</b>
    <b>Cash sales</b> is an order type for when the customer orders, picks up and pays for the goods immediately. The delivery is processed as soon as the order has been entered. A cash invoice can be printed immediately from the order and billing is related to the order. Receivables do not occur for the customer as they do for rush or standard orders, because the invoice amount is posted directly to a cash account.
    In a <b>rush order</b> transaction, the customer picks up the goods or you deliver the goods on the same day as the order is placed. In the standard system, when you save this sales document type, a delivery is automatically created and billing is related to the delivery.
    <b>Basis</b> guys help in configuring the landscape, moving the request, scheduling and maintainence of batch jobs which run in the background, server maintenance. Basis is kind of heart for any project and they work 24*7 continuous.
    Hope you have the required info now. Pl reward if helpful.

  • Integrating apex form with oracle portal

    Afternoon friends,
    I have got a senario like integrating apex form with oracle portal.I dont have any idea on oracle portals.so please let me know the basic steps on how to go ahead to integrate apex forms with oracle portal and for that what i need to have apart with my database and apex.

    Hello
    Couldn't see my previous post... so here it is again
    We have integrated Apex into Oracle Portal
    Here's how we did it.
    In the portal page, we have created an Element region with the following code:
    <script language="Javascript">
       <!--
       function changeIframeHeight(){
          var ifrmObj = document.getElementById('apexIframe');
          if(ifrmObj) {
             if(navigator.appName=='Microsoft Internet Explorer') { //IE
                ifrmObj.height = ifrmObj.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+20;
             else {
                ifrmObj.style.height = ifrmObj.contentWindow.document.body.offsetHeight+50;
       //-->
    </script>
    <p><iframe width="100%" height="500" frameborder="0" onload="javascript: changeIframeHeight();" src="/pls/apex/f?p=115:10" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" name="apexIframe" id="apexIframe"></iframe></p>You just have to make sure that the name and id of the iFrame and the elementId in the javascript are the same.
    And change the SRC so that it point you application.
    Hope that helped you.

  • Integration SD doc with FICA - Require step by step configuration

    Dear All,
    I am configuring the integration of SD billing with FICA, but as of the steps giving in the SAP DOC material some of the customizing menus are not there in SPRO like
    As an alternative, you can make these settings in Customizing for Sales and Distribution under   Billing  -> Billing Documents _->{ Integration with Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA)->  Define Posting to FI-CA for Customer Account Group} is not there
    Cold you please provide the details setups, you followed for this configuration.
    Thanks in advance,
    With Regards

    Hi Sunil,
    You need to perform the following steps for integrating SD doc with FICA-
    (a)  Define posting to FICA for customer account group- Inhere, you need to check the relevant account group that you want to post to FICA. FM FKK_FICA_FOR_SD_ACTIVE determines the activation of customer account group to FICA.
    (b)  Derivation of Main sub transaction for SD information-Based on the account assingment, you derive the main and the sub transaction
    (c) Derivation of Document Type from SD-Here, you define the type of document that would be posted in FICA.
    You will find these steps in the following SPRO config-
    IMG->Financial Accounting (New)->Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable->Integration->Sales and Distribution
    After performing the above activities, you also need  to maintain the account assignment under the following configurations-
    IMG->Financial Accounting (New)->Sales and Distribution->Basic Functions->Account Assignment/Costing
    Morover, if you want that the SD document will be posted with the  ISU invoice, then you need to code it in event 4000.
    Hope it helps......
    Thanks,
    Amlan

  • I have a £50 gift voucher and I tried to buy something with it, but it tells me there was a billing problem with a previous purchase and makes me put in my debit card details. My debit card has no money atm, can't I just pay with my voucher?

    I have a £50 gift voucher and I tried to buy something with it, but it tells me there was a billing problem with a previous purchase and makes me put in my debit card details. My debit card has no money atm, can't I just pay with my voucher for the things that have a billing problem? I tried to put my voucher code in again but it won't let me do that.

    If the amount of the purchase is close to $21.07, then you need to take into account taxes may be added.
    If you go beyond the credit from a gift card the balance will be billed to your credit card account.

  • Sales order with ref to make to order and with ref to make to production...

    My requirement is as follows:
    Material code : Plant specific and MRP activated
    In one sales organization  the sales order should be created without limitation and with make to order type with ref to above material
    Another sales organization the sale order should be created if stocks are available and with ref to make to production with above material.
    The availability check rule  as no check for first scenario and  Individual requirement for second scenario.
    can it possible ...........

    Hi,
       functionality of availabity check is it checks the material as per order if it is avialable then it confirms quantity & if not then u have to procure or manufacture.
      Mts scenario works for sales from stock while mto to generate requirement via purchase requisition ir plan order.
      however you can configure availabity check for both the scenario by selecting suitable checking group, requirement class, requirement type & schedule lines.
    Reward if it helps u

  • Make to order and stock both in one material with consignment

    Hi Seniors
    FERT Material = XYZ which is being used for Make to Order and Make to stock both.
    In case of make to stock  scenario from GR u2013 101 and PGI made @ std price. At the time of Consignment 631 mvt. No accounting document is generated. As per my knowledge its fine. No issue.
    In case of Make to order scenario for above material.
    Q.1   At the time of goods receipt (101 Mvt) from production order,  accounting document is generated at the rate of Per unit target cost of production order and no variance shown on production order. Why not accounting document is created at Std price of Material?
    Q.2 At the the time of consignment an accounting document generated with following entry.
        Finished Goods Inventory      Dr
        Price difference                   Dr
                        Finish Goods Inventory Cr
    Why accounting document is generated at the time of consignment in case of make to order scenario?  Pls confirm is this a sap standard behavour or anything wrong with me. As I told earlier that in case of make to stock when we make 631 mvt there is no accounting document generated.
    Note: My standard price is on the base of mix costing using two production versions.  Every time we create production order in each version.
    Regards
    Imdad

    Hi Imdad
    Q1: Why not accounting document is created at Std price of Material?
    Check your req class... There is a Field called "Valuation"... your valuation depends on whether you select M or A there... You can decide to valuate based on CK11N std cost estimate or based on Sales order cost estimate / Prod order cost estimate
    So, in a nut shell, you can configure the system to generate acc doc at CK11N Std cost also
    Q2. Why accounting document is generated at the time of consignment in case of make to order scenario?
    In my opinion, your MTO stock is maintained in Table EBEW.. Pls check that... WHen you do GR from Prod order, it resides in EBEW table..
    However, when you send it as a cons stock, the link to sales order is lost and your stock is no longer a MTO stock.. Hence, it is valuated at CK11N Std Cost.... If there is a diff between CK11N cost and GR Price, then PRD is generated... Thats why you are seeing PRD in your case

  • Make-to order with production in alternative plant

    Hi,
    We are thinking about implementing a scenario with Make-to Order production for our products, but with production in alternative plant (special procurement type 80).
    For example, sales orders will be directed to plant A, but production should take place in plant B - and using a make-to order strategy (in our case planning strategy 50 - planning without final assembly).
    Is there any problems with our approach, making it not feasible to implement? Is it even possible in SAP to combine MTO with special procurement key 80 (production in alternative plant)?
    Is there any other issues that can be foreseen with using this type of production strategy?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lars

    Hi,
    The production strategy which you are going to use is very fine.
    As per me there is one concern. Example you have created a sales order in Plnat A, in plant A that FG is handling through Special procurement 80, then in the MRP run system will be creating a planned order in Plant B without running MRP in plant B. In MD04 screen you can see planning plant as Plant A. In plant B, u r converting this planned order in to Production order and executing the production. While doing the GR against the production order, the goods receipt will happen directly in Plant A.
    This is the one problem (Accountability)  you can face.

    V. Suresh
