Purchase order saved without Profitablity Segment mandatory characteristic

Hello,
I have a problem with mandatory characteristics in profitability segment.
When I active in OKB9 transaction the indicator "Find profitability segment using substitution" in a cost element and I enter a purchase order using the cost element that has the indicator active, then the COPA characteristics, vendor and material are automatically filled in the profitability segment.
But there is a characteristic, that is mandatory and in this case not filled and the system does not display the error message no. 00055 "Fill in all required entry fields" and it is possible to save the document without this mandatory data.
How could I solve it?
Thanks a lot
Regards

Hello,
also check the particular derivation rule in KEDR.
"For each step in derivation, you can define whether the system should display a message or simply continue derivation if no value can be found by that step."
Check the attributes of the step, in which the characteristis should be determined - there is setting "Issue an error message if no value found"

  • Purchase order updation without QM module

    Hi Guru
We are currently using Active ingredient functionality for our product.
Ideal scenario is,when we do GR of purchase order ,system will generate inspection lot & value of char (Ingredients) will be updated by posting the GR.
Simultaneously, system will update the PO histry by T-code  MWBQ.
My question is how can we update the Purchase order histry without activating QM module or without generating Inspection lot.
    Thanks in  advance
    Balkrishna

the purchase order history  is updated if you do follow on functions with reference to the PO, e.g. a goods receipt and an invoice receipt, or a delivery in case of a STO.
What history update do you expect?

    Hi ,
Purchase orders can be created without account assignments . For stock material which are comes under valuation are purchased without reference to account assignment , automatic account determination is requied here . For each material type and plant combination you have to make quantity and value update .

  • Prevent Purchase Order creation without shopping cart

We have implemented SRM 5.0 Extended Classic Scenario.
Is it possible to prevent purchase orders to be created for this scenario if there is no preceding document in the form of a shopping cart?

    Hi Marinda,
The only ways to have a PO without SC is to create a PO from scratch from BBP_POC transaction.
you just have to control thsi through authorizations in PFCG.

    Hi All,
We are trying to create a PO and there is no condition record exists for the material, but the system still pulls the price.
Could any body tell me where this netprice is coming from?
There is an inforecord exists for this material and vendor but no condition records are being maintained.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

    Hi Venkat,
The price will be picked from info record or last po(with that material and vendor combination) or contract or condition records.
    This is the priority level.

  • Desactivate Profit Segment in a Purchase Order

    Hello,
When we post a purchase order the field "Profit Segment" is automatically filled. When we check the controlling document created it creates a line with CO Object: PSG - profit segment.
Although we need to post cost center in one specific document type. If we put manually  the cost center and system puts automatically the profit segment in the end the controlling document will have 2 lines: CTR (cost center) and PSG (profit segment). In this case the cost center becomes with value type 11 "statistical actual".
Since we need to do postings in SD in cost center with value type 4 "Actual" is it possible to deactivate the field "Profit Segment" in a specific document type?
I've already tried to do it in transaction KE4W but the field "Profit Segment" is still with values and in controlling document the line PSG is still there. The only thing that happened was that Profitability Analysis document wasn't created.
    Best Regards,

    Hello,
I've already checked the derivation rules in the system but there's anything that related with this.

    2) Does i need to process MIRO for these ?
    3) If it is a Usual material which i previously procuring throgh purchase order, How it reflect in Stock ?
    4) Where can i find the difference of the Material which has purchased through Purchase Order and without Purchase Order ?
    5) Does it affect usual stock ?
    6) How to follow Vendor Returns for this ?
Plz Plz Give ur Valuable inputs on this.
    Best Regards
    Javeed

    1) What document type i need to select ?
You don't need a document type, just use Tcode MIGO, then select mouvement Type 501
    2) Does i need to process MIRO for these ?
No, there is no FI document.
    3) If it is a Usual material which i previously procuring throgh purchase order, How it reflect in Stock ?
If your material valuation is "V" : overage price.  your stock will be devaluated: Total value of stock will be inchanged, whereas the qty will increase, So the material net price will decrease
    4) Where can i find the difference of the Material which has purchased through Purchase Order and without Purchase Order ?
You can lanayse goods mouvement through Tcode MB51, Also you can Tcode MR51 for analyzing.
    5) Does it affect usual stock ?
Yes, if you don't use Split valuation, your stock will be homogeneous.  So if you wish to keep separately the free goods you have to use split valuation
    6) How to follow Vendor Returns for this ?
    Use MIGO, mouvement Type 502

  • Vendor Returns Without Purchase Order

    Hi Experts,
Is Vendor Returns doing Without Purchase Order and without doing any reversal of material document  possible or not, please provide the details.
    Regards,
    Vivek.N.V

    Hi,
It is not possible to do the vendor return without any document reference. You have to do the vendor return with reference of purchase order (161 Mvt.type), material document reference (122 Mvt.type) ,Reference to Delivery note (122 Mvt.type).
    1) If the Purchase Order / GR is known then one can use Return delivery (122 Mtype).
    There are two options
    A) Return delivery Without SD Delivery
    B) Return delivery With SD Delivery
    2) In case purchase Order / GR is not traceable then one can send material back using "RETURN Purchase Order " Functionality (161 Mtype)
    Again there are two ways
    A) Purchase Return with Delivery
    B) Purhcase Return Without Delivery.
Although as per my knowledge it meets all business requirements , but just wondering if there is another Process also available in SAP to return material back to Supplier.(May be for some specific business Cases).

  • Net Price - direct copy from material master into purchase order

When purchase requistions are converted to purchase orders, currently we are maintaining Net Price manually
before saving the purchase order. Is there a way where the standard price is copied from the material master {Accouting view} into the purchase order directly without manual entry
    If yes, Please advice

    Hi,
    1. Go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Authorization Management > Define Function Authorizations for Buyers > Function Authorizations: Purchase Order > Here "New Entries" and define Function Authorization Key as "01" and give description.
OR use T. Code - OMET
Here under "General parameters" subscreen, cctivate "Adopt PO Price" indicator and select "Enter conditions"
In "Possible ref. objects", select "W/o reference" otherwise reference documents (for e.g. PR, RFQ, etc...) for PO creation will become mandatory.
    2. Now go to SU01 > Enter User ID > Parameters Tab > Here for Parameter ID EFB i.e. Function Authorization: Purchase Order, maintain value "01" and check in PO, PR will become mandatory for that user.
    3. Now during creation of PR in ME51N, under "Valuation" Tab, you will get option for PO Price Adoption as Net or Gross. Select as per your requirement and it will copy Price to PO.

  • Purchase Order not subject to release strategy

    Good day everyone!
I've created one release strategy for all my purchasing documents. The characteristic is net value, and the value of this characteristic is >=0.00. Meaning, ALL purchase orders are subject to release strategy.
After I did the release strategy in SPRO, I created a few PO and when I tried to release them, I got this message: "Purchasing document 45xxxxxxxx not subject to release strategy".
My question is: How to assign purchasing document to release strategy?
Please help. Thank you in advance.
    Anisah

    hi
yes you have to use table CEKKO for PO release strategy , now , in PO you can't create without clasification so it will be applicabe for whole PO not for line items ,
now below i am giving u one by one steps , follow and let me know .
The release code is a two-character ID allowing a person to release (clear, or approve) a requisition or an external purchasing document. The release codes is basically controlled via a system of authorizations (authorization object M_EINK_FRG).
Use SE12, structure CEKKO to check all the fields available for controlling the Purchase Order.
e.g. If the total value for the Purchase Order exceeds 10,000, release strategy 01 is assigned to the Purchase Order.  There is only one characteristic created in this example.  For controlling the Purchase Order type, create characteristic for CEKKO-BSTYP and the value NB.
    CT04 - Create Characteristic   e.g.  NETVALUE
Click Additional data Table name CEKKO      Field name  GNETW    and press enter
(for currency dependent field, you are prompt to enter the currency which the system then converts the currency of the Purchasing document into this currency)
In the Basic data (X refers to tick),
    X    Mutliple values
    X    Interval values
In the Value data, in the Char. value column, type >10000 and press enter
    Save your data
    CL02 - Class
    Class - Create REL_PUR
    Class type - 032
    Click Create
Description - Release Procedure for Purchase Order
In the Same Classification section, click Check with error
In the Char. (characteristic) tab, type NETVALUE to assign your characteristics to the class
OMGS - Define Release Procedure for Purchase Order Type
    Release Group - New entries
    Rel.group   Rel. Object   Class                 Description
02                                 REL_PUR        Rel. Strategy for PO
    Release codes - New entries
    Grp         Code
    02           01
    Release indicators
    Release indicators           Release        Description
          0                                                        Blocked
          1                                     X                Release
    Release Strategy
    Release group   02
    Rel.strategy    01
    Release codes   01
    Release status   0
                            1
    Classification   Choose your check values
    OMGSCK - Check Release Strategies
(make sure there are no error messages)
Once the Purchase Order is not release, buyers will not be able to print the Purchase Order.
Goods Receipts will be shown with Message no. ME 390 - Purchasing document XXXXXXX not yet released.
In 4.6c, Purchase Order with Release Strategy have a tabs at the end of the Header.  This allowed the buyers to check the release status of the Purchase Order.
The person with the release authorization have to use ME28 to release the Purchase Order.

  • Batch specific unit of measure - Purchase order history correction

I have maintained an alternate proportional unit for a material.  This alternate unit is used as the order price unit in the purchase order.  I have created a batch characteristic which is linked to this proportional unit of measure. I have also created a Master inspection characteristic which is linked to this batch characteristic.
I want to correct the purchase order history using quality management by transaction code MWBQ.  However, when I perform transaction MWBQ, the inventory is reduced to zero and entire amount is posted to price difference account after correction. Hence, my inventory value becomes zero after MWBQ. I cannot maintain the proportional unit at standard price since this is a raw material.  Need a solution on how to post correction in purchase order history without actualy making the inventory zero and with moving average price.

    Thanks for caring!
As for transaction MMBE it all looks fine. So basic definitions must be OK up to that point.
I think the point is to set requirement for the amount of active ingredient.
Do the batch determination for this.
Do the goods issue in physcial quantity which is the base unit of measure.
I did try now with KG in the BOM. I still get  double items in the process order. Now both in KG.
    One line is correclty copied.
The incorrect line which is the same in both cases says 1 KG. which is the correct conversion from  0,01KAI.
