Rating Column not working

I have enabled rating setting for one discussion board in one of my site collection. Now when i hover over the rating stars rating stars don't turn yellow. I have checked central admin and made sure User Profile service and the two timer jobs associated
with working of rating are working as expected. Still i am facing this issue. This issue is confined to only one site collection and rating works perfectly for other site collection. Can any one guide me on what might have gone wrong.

Basically, the user profile service permissions has a 'Use Social Features' checkbox, in my case it was unticked.

Assigned To column not working in the quick search of a list

Hi, I have a list where we have a column called Assigned To, but it is a single line of text column type. Search is working since I am able to find other values in the list.
Now, when using the quick search, it is not working or showing results in this column.
Could this be related that this column is a manage metadata column type as default in SharePoint?
I have created a new list with this value but, as person column type and it is not working either.
Any ideas?

Please check and make sure your custom "Managed Property" map to the crowed property generated by managed metadata column, and set the manged property as "Searchable" then start an incremental crawl or full crawl.
For "Assigned To" column(e.g. crawled property should be "ows_Assigned_x0020_To"), I enabled the "Searchable" option for the manged property, then start an incremental crawl, and then search the
user in "Find an item" and it worked, you can try.

Query on database column not working

Hi
i have a block which has around 40 columns.the block is based on a table which has more than 20000 records.When i try 2 make query on a Database column in Enter-Query mode its not working.It fetching all the records instead of the respective records
THe block property is said to yes
i have even set the query allowed,only propery of the column to YEs
Can any one help me out of this??? do i need to set any other property???

I have one more doubt .i have a requirement in which when the user goes to the child block and makes a query is it possible to bring the associates parent records..wht code or trigger we need to rite ?
normally we do for parent block when we query we populate the child. is this can be done?

Sort Order Column not Working

I have set a sort order column on one of A VARCHAR field, but the functionality is not working. The sorting is enabled in the table view and when I sort by the said column it still sorts based on the VARCHAR values of the column instead of the other INT column I want to sort by. The logical SQL and physical query never even includes the column to sort. Are there any exceptions for the 'Sort Order Column' setting? Is there a config setting or data connections setting that I need to check to make this work?

Like Ex: varchar month column it sould display based on month id
month : Fev-2011,Dec-2011,jan-2011 and month id 1 to 12
set your month id as sort order column of month name.
double click month name ->In general tab set the sort order column as month id

Hey Rob, i just had the same problem. Try using saveUrl
instead of saveURL. change the caps on 'r' and 'l'. it worked for
me.

Why sort on a column not working?

Run a query and then right click on a char. column (already displayed as key), then Sort -> either "Ascending According to Key" or "Descending According to Key", but the sort not working. We've tried both BEX query and Web, none works for the sort. We are using BI7.0 server, but BEX queries were created under BW3.5 BEX query designer.
Any clue why the sort not working?

Bfile columns not working for files in network

Hello all,
I have made a table with a column of type bfile. When i call the function bfilename(<alias-dir>,<filename>) it works fine as long as the alias-directory is mapped to a physical drive on the machine(Windows NT) on which the database is running. But if i specify a network directory which has been mapped to a drive say "F:/" then the same is not working.
Can anyone pls tell me what the problem is? And is there a solution to the same?

This is maybe a security problem. I think the "oracle" user is not allowed to access the network files.

Some older scanners don't support presets. If this is the case, you can try this workaround as taken from this technical note Error: Bad Parameter | Acrobat.
In the Configure Presets dialog, choose the scanner attached to your computer from the Scanner pop-up menu.
From the File menu, choose Create > PDF from Scanner > Configure Presets.
In the Configure Presets dialog, click the pop-up menu to the right of the Scanner field and choose the scanner connected to your computer.
Click OK, and then choose Create > PDF From Scanner.

Buddy Availability Column Not Working

I bought a MacPro and pulled my Contacts from .Mac. But my Buddy Availability Column in Mail doesn't work. I worked on my MacBook. Both are running 10.5.2. Not sure what changed, but now the MacBook don't display it either.
The interesting thing is Address Book will show the status but not Mail.
I've verified that Viewing->Show online buddy status is checked.

I've observed the same behavior since 10.5.2 came out. It seems to me that if the e-mail address of the person who sent you the mail contains any uppercase characters, you won't see the buddy status in the column in the inbox.
What's interesting though, is that you will see the status ball next to the e-mail addresses if you preview the note in the preview pane. Also, if you compose a note to the same person, you'll see the status globe as soon as you type in their address in the TO: or CC: field, even if it's not showing in the status column of the Inbox.
So my theory here is that for some reason, the mail app has some unintentional case sensitivity that's causing the status column to to work in the inbox, because as you say, it shows up in the address book and other places just fine. When I receive an e-mail from any buddy and their e-mail address comes across in all lower case characters, the status DOES display correctly in the status column.

VC 7.2 personalize table settings - hide columns not working

I have table setting property activated in CE 7.2 VC UI , when I hide the columns, i am able to hide for that session, if I logout and login, I am not able to see the settings, all the columns are visible.
Are these settings are per session ? it is not like personalization where the user can save the settings for his login?

In order to work with the personalization saving, you need to Enabling CCM Personalization of Table Views at Runtime

And I've some XML documents stored in blob columns in the above table. But my query with 'contains' param does not return expected results.(it presently returns no results). Do I miss anything? Do I need to specify any thing else while I create the Index? Kindly advice.

I would agree the CLOB storage would be preferable for XML. If you are using BLOB storage, by default the documents are going to be FILTERed by the INSO_FILTERS. A BLOB column will give you reduced storage in a unicode environment though.
If you wish to store your data in a BLOB though, you should specify the NULL_FILTER in your create index statement to avoid having the INSO_FILTERS invoked.
Further, you may also require a CHARSET column in your table specifying the character set of your data for each row if it can vary. The Column should then also be specified in the 'PARAMETERS' clause of the create index statement, this way Oracle knows the correct character set to use when converting the binary data to character data.
My guess that you are not getting any query results because none of the documents are actually being indexed. Be sure to query the ctx_user_index_errors view to determine if you are getting errors at indexing time.

Imix rating still not working

Win XP, itunes 7.0.1, brand new dell c521 with latest drivers, obviously clean install. Italian itunes store.
Same issue as with previous pc: imix rating screwed up.
If I rate an imix 5 stars, it turns out to be 1.
Anything from 4 stars to 1 gives a 0 stars and lowers the average voting of the target imix.
The problem has been out since 7.0.0, back in september.
Could anybody from Apple just give a sign of life and confirm that this is a well known problem and that it will be fixed in the next release?

It seems to only affect some users (otherwise new iMixes would never get a rating above zero) and also seems to be cross platform, and apparently international (I use the US Store)... Definitely a bug in the system.

Star rating function not working

I have Adobe Bridge CS6 on Windows. Some of my images in Bridge don't allow me to give a star rating and some do. What is the difference? I would like to use the star rating function an all of my images. What should I do?

Starwalk direction change works fine on my iPad using the latest Apple iOS level 5.0.1 and the latest Starwalk level 5.4.
The Google search only finds a problem dating from May 2010 which has long since been corrected.

Chcing the sum option on a column not working

The 3 columns titled Total_25_Probability, Total_50_Probability,Total_90_Probability are not totaling although I have checked the sum option in the report attributes. Any ideas?

never...I see that I converted those columns into chars. For some reason to_number was throwing an error. I suppose I need to take this to the pl/sql forum.

Filtering on table column not working

Hello Gurus,
I have a read only table based on a VO. I am not getting any output when I am trying to filter one column based on some expression.

As you can see I am filtering using the string "RedHat%" and there are lot of value matching that pattern. Also this column is not based on any LOV.
But I am able to filter the table through column which is the primary key of this table. Is it mandatory that column need to be primary key to filter the table?
