Redirect Phone Calls

Hi,
I'm fairly new to J2ME and MIDP. I would like to know if it's possible to use J2ME to redirect phone calls.
Eg.
I have an MIDP app on a mobile phone. When it receives a phone call, it connects to a servlet to check what number it should redirect to (eg a help desk roster), then redirects the call.
Is call redirecting possible?
Are there any good documentation or code examples of call redirecting available?

AFAIK this is not possible in J2ME. I believe this is to be done in service provider side and not in the client side.

Contact your carrier to insure that there is nothing wrong with your account. SMS is a carrier feature, so start there.

Turning off work phone calls and text

Hi I wonder if anyone can help please. I use my phone for business and personal calls but find it infuriating when work colleagues telephone during periods when I'm not working. Is there any way that I can turn off a group of work contacts so that their calls go to voicemail during certain periods and store their texts just as if it would if I turned the whole phone off? I want to be able to have personal calls and texts coming through to me but just can't find a way to send the work calls to voicemail.
If someone could help please I will be eternally grateful. I am ready to purchase the new Blackberry Classic as long as there is a feature like this that I can use.

What you can do is on each business contact you can set the notifications to silent. So you would hear phone calls/texts from your private friends but not from your work colleagues.
It is not possible to redirect certain contacts to voice mail, that would be a carrier function.

Can't make phone calls on i6

Initiated my new i6 after backing up from my 5c. When I try to make a phone call now I'm automatically redirected to an outside operator that's going to require me to use a credit card to make my call. Under Settings when I go to Phone it says my Phone Number is "Unknown" and I don't know how to change that and enter my number. ???

Me again. Just spent half an hour in the Apple Store. It seems to be a network issue because when they ran a diagnostic it showed that all of the calls were being dropped by the network, not the device. So it may be that my carrier is not ready to deal with the new technology. Hopefully a carrier update will come soon. It is early days yet. Even the Apple Store employees did not have watches yet. They were envious of mine! And mine was the first "watch question" the guy at the Genius Bar had dealt with.

Cannot make phone calls since a week

Hello,
Since one week (about), I cannot make any phone calls. I have plenty of credit, and my connection is ok.
My skype version is 4.3.0.37 under ubuntu 12.04.
I tried calling FR, UK and US numbers without success. The phone keeps ringing (skype tone) and never connects. After a moment skype says that the phone call failed.
I tried disabling the "Caller ID" service, but didn't help.
Please help me to solve this..

Skype is aware of continuing problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.

That is a new "feature" described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off

Iphone 4s phone call issues

I just bought an iphone4s, white, 32gb. Sometimes when I make a phone call the person that I am ringing cannot hear me but I can hear them. I have to turn the phone off and then on again, then call them before they can hear me. I dont have the phone in a cover as yet. Is anyone else having the same problem and is there a solution?

IPhone 4 Phone Call Issues

About a week ago I noticed my iphone 4 (updated IOS) was having issues with phone calls. I would make a call to someone and mid-call they could no longer hear me. In other cases, I made a call to someone and they never could hear me at all. Other cases, someone calls me and they cannot hear me. Finally ther are cases where I call someone and mid-call there is a bunch of static and they cannot hear me.
I spoke with Apple and they told me that I needed to restore the phone and install it as a new iPhone. This should deal with the issue. I did such steps and then synced the phone and tried to make a call. The first three calls nobody could hear me. The next call they could hear me for 2 minutes and then static and nothing.
I have had a new SIM card installed and have reset the network as well. In reading the Apple Support Community postings, it looks like the only long term solution is to acquire a new phone. Is there any other solution anyone knows of to help remedy this situation. I have had the iPhone 4 for 2 years without an issue and in the last week, this crops up. It has not been in water, it has a case on it, I am not covering up the mics, the speaker phone is off.
Next to getting a new phone, any ideas?

There is nothing to sort out.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the issue still occurs, take the device to Apple for evaluation as there is obviously a hardware issue.

Iphone 5s does not transmit voice during phone calls

iphone 5s does not transmit my voice during a phone call. Just started happening. The microphone works with Siri and the speaker works fine as I can hear the person I called.

Ios 6.1.4 Phone calls not working from Jabra EasyGo bluetooth headset

I updated to 6.1.4 yesterday
I use Jabra EasyGo bluetooth headset.
Music streaming is fine with the headset.
Problem is it doesnt respond to any phone call or dial commands.
Tried it on another friends iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3 it works
Please help to solve as I depend on the bluetooth my work drives car a lot.

I don't think I can restore the back up from iCloud, because I did not back it up to iCloud before the update to OS 6.1.4. I don't think this is related to voice samples because it seems to cut in and out, like Siri is not 'hearing' me, due to a problem with the microphone.

Why isn't my iPhone 5s ringing or beeping when I get a phone call or text?

Whenever someone calls me it goes right to voice mail and doesn't ring. I am missing a lot of phone calls because of it, and it is very annoying. I don't know if there is something wrong in the settings or just in the software. I will appreciate any help!

Sounds like your phone is on Do Not Disturb.
do you see a cresent moon at the top right of your iphone?

Have you checked your mute switch (right above the volume buttons)? If you see orange, it is muted and will affect the rings, but not the audio on YouTube.
Just toggle the switch so you don't see the orange and check again.

IPhone 4 phones calls interrupted by music

When I'm making a phone call I will suddenly be cut off and the Phone starts to play the music that is on the device. I'm not doing anything to the phone, not pressing buttons shaking it or anything. I can be talking to somebdoy and then suddely they are gone and the music is playing. Sometimes it takes me four or five attempts to get the call back , as the music will interrupt the dialling and can cut in at any time.
I checked and the music app is not active after this happens. The iPhone is hardly usable as a phone noew the problem has got so bad. Anybody know if this can be fixed?
My next move will be to delete all the music on the device, pretty poor for a $600 phone.

Help!! I opened a text SMS that had a audio noise attached to it now my phone plays the audio noise whenever i get a sms or mms text and when I make phone calls or dial the phone. I deleted the text and it still is on my phone. This is a huge problem becasue I can't leave my phone on with this noise.
