REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT + iBase generation

Hi folks,
I scheduled job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT (report AI_SC_REFRESH_READ_ONLY)  and maintained V_AIINSNRS // V_AISAPCUSTNOS.
Also I have set "Generate Business Partners from OSS" to 'C' and "Generate Systems from OSS" to 'N'.
Generation itself works (systems get created in SMSY) but the approriate IBase component does not get generated automatically.
After editing a system in SMSY and using the save button, the IBase component gets updated/generated automatically.
I wonder why it is working when perfoming manual changes but not when systems get created via REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
If I may add my own question about table/view: V_AIINSNRS and program: AI_SC_REFRESH_READ_ONLY_DATA
It seems that following the advice given by Alex, in fact the data in the view V_AIINSNRS
is updated in a certain way: for instance if the description for a system installation number
has been changed in the SAP Support Portal (system data maintenance) refreshing the data in
V_AIINSNRS works withing certain limits: you will see the new description in V_AIINSNRS
but the limit seems to be for Installation Numbers where you may have completely removed any SAP instance, no systems at all, and then requested to shutdown/delete the installation number from the SAP Support Portal, there it will be removed... but in the view V_AIINSNRS you still have those deleted entries
My question would be: how to have those deleted entries removed from view  V_AIINSNRS  as well,
considering that they were alredy be removed from the SAP Support Portal
Kind regards,
Raoul

  • IBase component number changed

    Good day!
After applying SP18 on Solution Manager I have encountered a problem: iBase component number for productive ERP-system has changed three times.
(first it was 50, then 250, then 268, now 691).
Right now the process for keeping up to date information about
satellite systems in Solution Manager is following:
1.All system data is stored at System Landscape Directory (SLD).
2.Once an hour it's automatically transfered to SMSY in Solution Manager via
    scheduled task - RSGET_SMSY.
3.After that (or every time SMSY is saved) iBase is updated.
Main question is, why did existing iBase component (productive ERP was
always in list of iBase components) change its number?
How to prevent this from happening in the future?

    Hi Tolulope,
Please check weather ibase is generated for the development system in IB52, Check the Note 1284794 - SMSY: IBase generation cannot be deactivated.
if Ibase is created for the development system , go to DSWP and the solution that u have maintained the satelite system and do the initial data transfer for Ibase(path would be edit->initial data transfer for Ibase)
hope it should resolve your issue

  • Can't assign BP to iBase

    Solution Manager 7.1 SP 3
.I go into TCODE IB52 and then select my Installed Base and the Component.  Then when I go to GOTO I don't see an option for "Partner".  I have already created and assigned the components to the iBase.  Am I missing something or is this done another way in SM 7.1?  Thanks!

    Hi,
    Please check this:
1676491 - IBase Generation fails with 'No business partner of type organization
To be able to generate IBase components automatically when you create or
change systems in the SMSY, you have to create the following Customizing
         entry using transaction DNO_CUST04.
o  Enter the field name: IB_GEN_AUTO
o  Enter the description: Automatic IBase Generation
o  Enter the field value: Blank character or X
                -  Blank character = Automatic generation is switched on
                -  X = Automatic generation is switched off
You can also try generating the IBase running report IB_GEN or
         even manually.
If still systems not created automatically then :
the reason why no IBase for newly created systems is generated, is that
the organization business partner for the customer number is missing.

    Hello,
This is the text from the SPRO activity help:
    1.3.9.3.3 Data Transfer from SAP
    Use
You can copy the following system data from SAP into the System LandscapeMaintenance (SMSY):
    - Name,
    - System number,
    - Installation number
    - Product version.
All data can be copied from SLD or RFC connection. This is an alternative for service providers who
have no, or only restricted, connection to their customers via SLD or RFC.
    Requirements
You have determined or maintained the customer numbers for the systems to be generated.
    Default Settings
The system automatically generates IBase components, which you need for the Service Desk and Change
Management scenarios. If you do not want IBase to be generated automatically:
    1. Choose the transaction DNO_CUST04.
    2. Deselect the field: IB_GEN_AUTO (description: Automatic IBase Generation).
    3. Save.
    Activities
    Set Automatic Generation flag
    You can:
    1. Generate all systems per customer number, or
    2. Generate systems per installation number
Case 1: Flag/check whether all systems with a customer number are to be generated, and maintain the
maintenance view V_AISAPCUSTNOS. In this case, the system ignores the flag at installation level.
Case 2:If you select installations for which systems are to be generated, maintain the maintenance view
    V_AIINSNRS.
    Maintain Settings in SMSY_SETUP
    4. Choose: Edit -> Expert Settings.
    5. Enter the value A or N for the option Generate Systems by OSS:
    - A: Systems are only generated if a 3-digit alpha-numeric ID has been specified for the customer
in maintenance view V_BP_SPC, to distinguish the long names of systems with different
customer numbers, e.g. a system SOL for the customer SAP would be SOLSAP01.
    - N: New systems are numbered sequentially when they are generated. System SOL would be
    SOL00001.
    6. Save.
Data is created by background job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT , which
should be scheduled regularly. If you want to copy the data immediately, you can schedule it
immediately . Check in the job log of transaction SM37 that it ran successfully.
Note: The user under which the job runs must be in the table AISUSER , with authorization for
system data maintenance in the SAP Support Portal.
    I hope this information helps.
    Best regards,
    Miguel Ariñ

  • Business Partner and IBase in SolMan

    Hello all,
Anybody have a material for create a business partner, IBase and its users in Solution Manager?
    Or procedure for its creating.
    Thanks.
    Att.
    Rogério

    Hi,
    for ibase you can use
Ib_gen transaction extract from SPRO for some more info.
For some functions, such as Service Desk, Issue Management or Change Management, the system landscape must be defined as installation (iBase). An IBase  component is created in the installation for each system in the installation. An iBase contains general data and components (e.g. products, texts, etc.)
The IBase components for the IBase structure SOL_MAN_DATA_REP (installation 1) can be created and assigned automatically or manually .
You can generate the IBase solution-dependently, or solution-independently, as explained in the following activities.
Each system appears only once in the installations, so a system does not appear in an iBase if it was previously in another iBase
    Default Settings
If you create new systems or change existing ones in the System Landscape Maintenance (transaction SMSY), the system creates the IBase component. You can also deactivate the automatic generation of the IBase.
    Requirements
You have specified your system landscape in Solution Manager System Landscape (transaction SMSY).
    and
    for BP
    you can use BP_gen
    In addition check this blogs.

    Hello gurus,
    System: Solution Manager 7.0 Ehp1 SPS22  (win 2008 + SQL Server 2005)
The problem is... I've been setting up the service desk for VAR option. We, our company, are VAR and the main goal for this configuration is link our own solution manager with our customers in order that they can send some messages to us asking for help. So in this point, we are in phase of configuration of customer numbers and system numbers of all systems that customers have in your landscape.
We´re faccing with a problem about JOB -  REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT  -  the job that collects information from SAP Marketplace of customers. And this job log have some error, namely we couldn´t create a Business Partner which are necessary further for maintenance business partner (tcode BP) and for IBASE generate!

    Hello Fabricius Zatti,
Thank you for your answer, but that isn´t the solution for this problem. I already update that note 1023598...
The other note 1350853 is not for my release, the correction of this note is delivered in Support Package SAPKITL431... my system has the last Suport Package Stack which is 22!! (SAPKITL432) So the correction of that note is already suported in system!
    Next I´ll show you what I have in tables v_aisapcustnos ; v_aiinsnrs:

  • What is exactly a IBASE in SAP Solution manager

    Dear all
I'm making the configuration of service desk on SAP Solution manager, and then i have to make a set up of IBASE. Can anyone tel me what exactly is IBASE in solution manager?
    thanks
Edited by: hchabi on Apr 1, 2010 1:45 PM

    Hi
In solman you have SOL_MAN_DATA_REP as main IBASE or 1 and other managed systems will be attached to it as a component.
and you can check it in IB53 by entering "1" in the initial screen
For automatic generation you can use tcode IB_GEN and all the connected systems ibase will be generated and attached to ur ibase
    Morever theoretically,
An installed base can be described as a multilevel structure of installed base components for managing objects (for example, devices, machines, software) that are installed, or are going to be installed on site at the customer site. An installed base can represent the reference basis for services.
An installed base describes the hierarchical structure of these objects and their individual parts (components
In business processes, an installed base can be referred to as a general unit or as an individual element (component).
The set of installed objects at the customeru2019s can be used, for example:
    ·        To determine the exact object for which a problem has been reported
    ·        To determine in detail what the transaction (for example, visit by field service representative, repair by a service employee) refers to
    ·        By the service employee as information about which object is affected and the parts it consists of
    ·        For documenting changes made to objects
Hope it helps and doubt is cleared

  • Open vi error for report generation toolkt

    Originally it works fine.

    1. MS Office 2010 is not yet supported, since it's still just a beta. I believe there are couple of changes that Microsoft make, and it could cause a problem.
    2. LabVIEW 8.6.1, and all its toolkit is not supported on Windows 7. This could cause a problkem also.
In conclusion, you should use LabVIEW 2009, Report Generation Toolkit 2009, Windows 7, and downgrade office to XP, 2003 or 2007.

  • 1st Generation iPod Touch No Longer Recognized by Windows 7 PC

I have a 1st generation iPod Touch (no camera) that can no longer connect to my Windows 7 pc. Plugging in the iPod via USB does not trigger any sort of dialog box in Windows and it doesn't trigger a message saying a device has been connected; the iPod does not show up in either iTunes, Computer, Device Manager or Devices and Printers, either as an Apple mobile device or an unrecognized device, and does not charge when connected to USB (though the wall-charger still works). As far as my computer is concerned this iPod does not exist. I had successfully synced this iPod as recently as one week ago and am ready to pitch the thing in the garbage if I can't find a solution.
I have the latest version of iTunes as well as the most up-to-date Windows updates. I have already followed all the steps listed here (iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows) multiple times with no success.
I also have tried following the instructions listed here (Re: For those Windows users who suddenly cannot see their device in iTunes. Here's a solution that has worked.) but this also hasn't worked since the iPod isn't recognized in the Device Manager and I am not given the option of updating the drivers, manually or otherwise.
I have uninstalled/re-installed iTunes and all related Apple services multiple times. The Apple Mobile Device Service is functioning normally. iTunes diagnostics indicate that there is no device connected no matter what I do. I have reinstalled my Windows USB drivers and changed the settings on the USB Root Hub in the Windows Device Manager to disable power saving options.
I have tried connecting the device to another PC which detects and syncs another apple device (iPhone 5) with no issues, and had the exact same result: the computer doesn't even recognize an iPod is connected.
I can't update the Apple Mobile Device Drivers because the device is not recognized by my machine in any way.
I even completely reset my iPod and that just left me with a unactivated iPod that still isn't detected.
I am really unbelievably fed-up with the useless "try checking your USB cable"-style advice that people seem to offer on this forum. If anybody has dealt with this issue and has any serious advice other than "re-install iTunes," it would be much appreciated.

You said "I am really unbelievably fed-up with the useless "try checking your USB cable"-style"
    - Did you try another cable?
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • Issue with PTO (Paid Time Off) quota generation

    Hi All,
We have an issue with quota generation of PTO for our employees.
    The issue goes like this:
We have a Paid time off for employees 5weeks( 200 hrs) for employees who have worked less than 5 years.
we have  paid time off for employees 6 weeks ( 240 hrs) for employees who have worked more than 5 years.
we have the following logic that has to go in this config:
-- Our fiscal year starts on Feb 1st and ends on Jan end or Feb starts which has a full week of working days. ( ex: if 01/31/2012 falls on a Thursday the following Monday which has full 5 day working week would be the end of the fiscal year).
-- Depending on the working hours of  the employees and the date of joining for the first year ( for new hires)0041 info type the eligibility gets varied and reduced. Ex( employees who joins on start of fiscal year and works 40hrs per week schedules is eligible for 200hrs of PTO. Employees who join in the month of august and works for 35 hrs per week ( i.e mid of fiscal year) would get 91 hrs of PTO.
I need to put this in the system. I am thinking this could be done with out tweaking PCR.I need help in configuring this in Absence quotas as to what are the things i need change in system config and how do i do it. Please help with some screen shots if possible.  I really need this to get it done ASAP. Looking forward for help.
    Thanks,
    Chowdary.

We use TM00 schema. Can i call TS15 and TS 12  rules into TM00 acheieve my issue of quota entilements?
Iam doing this because my businees needs to see if an employee chages his work schedule from 40 to 30 or 20 etc.. the PTO has to vary accordingly.
As the minimum eligibility is to work for 20 hrs to avail the PTO days. If at any point the employee drops it under 20 he will not be eligible till he work any this >= 20hrs per month so the evaluation has to check periodically to update the quota availability.... I need help plz suggest ...

I'm using the report generation toolkit, so I build a .llb from my project which contains all the hierarchy of my steps, but also the hierarchy of dynamic VIs called.
I have made some steps, like "Open Workbook", "Write Data", etc.
My steps run well, excepts one step : "Close Workbook".
If my "Close Workbook" step is firing on "Run" Signal Express event, I have no error, so my reference is properly closed.
But if my "Close Workbook" step is firing on "Stop" Signal Express event, I have an error "1", from "Generate Report Objectrepository.vi".
I feel that I'm trying to use a reference which has been killed in the "Stop" step...
I would like to know what exactly do Signal Express on "Stop" event and why my close function does'nt run well.
    Thanks,
    Callahan

    Hi Callahan,
SignalExpress (SE for short) does the following on the Stop event:
    1. Takes the list of parameters that SE found on your VI's connector pane, and sets the values that the user set from the "Run LabVIEW VI" configuration page, if any.
    2. Then tells the VI that SE is running the Stop event by setting the Enum found on your VI's front panel. This in turn should produce some boolean values telling your VI to execute the Stop case.
    3. The VI is then run, with those values and states.
    4. SE checks to see if any errors where returned.
    5. Since this is the Stop event, SE releases the reference to the VI which it possesses.
Questions for you would be, is the reference to your Workbook linked to a control on your connector pane, or held in a uninitialized Shift Register. If it's held in a Shift Register, SE would not be aware of it, and would not be able to affect that reference.
Hope that helps. Feel free to post your LLB if it doesn't.
    Phil

  • Report Generation: New Report.vi

Running applicaion in development mode works fine.
After compiling however I get Error 7: Open VI Reference in New Report.vi
Why am I getting this error?

Has the version of Office on your machine changed since you installed the Report Generation Toolkit?  The VIs will become broken if the ActiveX interface changes, and this can happen when the Office version changes.  I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the toolkit.  Also, what version of Report Generation Toolkit are you using?  The latest version is 1.1.1.

P.S. - I'm going to respond to your other thread that you started with a link to this one.  Instead of creating multiple messages on the same question, just wait for a response to your initial thread.
