Reg: POP UP cretion.Multiple POP UP

Hi,
In my application I am having three pop ups.
I deigned 3views and three windows.
My question is, is it required to create so many views and windows for each pop up.
Please tell me the solution.

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you have three completely different popups you want to display, then yes it is generally easier to just create three separate views and windows. If they are similiar enough I suppose you could create one dynamic view - but that really depends what the requirements are for what appears in the popup.

Reg Pop up in adobe form

hi , Iam raising an error message using
xfa.host.messageBox("error message");
when i get the error message pop up...it has title..WARNING :JAVASCRIPT WINDOW.
But I want to remove this title....
So any idea ...hiow to remove this?
or any other procedure to raise POPUP with our own title

Hi Arjun,
You can use the following JavaScript to get UserDefined Title or password protect popup box (i.e. popup box input field becomes password field) for the Pop-Up Box.
Response Box i.e app.response Method
It takes the following Input Arguments:
1. Argument   : Description
2. cQuestion : Main Response Box text
3. cTitle         : Window Title of Response Box
4. cDefault     : Initial value of input text box, also value returned if no changes are made
5. bPassword : Causes text entered into input box to be obscured by asterisks (*)
6. cLabel       : Short text string placed in front of input box
Sample Code:

NOTE: In the sample code if you donot add the cLabel then the input of the popup box is simple text and it will not become password field.

Reg: Pop up facility in PCUI

Hi,
I would like to know if we could have a Pop up facility in PCUI.
We are using PCUI 5.0 with CRM5.0 on EP.
The requirement is that the customer would like to have a reminder for a business activity type meeting that he has to attend and this should throw a pop up to him may be 2 hours before.
The same can also be used for throwing a Pop up if he has to wish some one on his birthday.

Thanks for the inputs and infact we are trying the same what you have suggested and also looking at creating a reminder as a task and set a date rule for it to remind 2 hours before and it would hit the task list area under the overview tab in EP.
Just help me also understand, we are going for lotus notes integration in Groupware and will we be able to get the reminder as pop up in Lotus notes when the synchonization of CRM task and activites are done with lotus notes. we are exploring that area also. Wanted your inputs / advises.

WIth the suggestions from the below given thread, i have changed the routines in copying control for item level as 03.
SAP ERP Sales and Distribution (SAP SD)
Using delivery duelist(VF04) , I selected 2 pending docs and tried to create billing doc , but it got created as separate invoice. what is the actual process to create single invoice from multiple delivery document.

1. Payer
2. Payment Term
3. Incoterms
4. Destination country
5. Billing date
6. Actual Goods issue date
7. Foreign data trade
8. Billing doc type
9. Shipping conditions
10 Account assignmment group
11. Exchange rate
12 Billing relevance field in the item category
13 Sold to party
will be combined into one Billing document automatically and this controlled from the copy control table. and it VTFL choose your delivery header and in that at item level VBRK/VBRP should be 001
In VF01 you can input three or more such deliveries and execute then those will be combined in to a single bill and you can do that in VF04 also

Thanks for the response, Yes I am doing Multiple Specifications, although I created insp plan prior to the cycle, insp plan is not getting assigned to insp lot,is it a prerequisite that compulsorily we need to activate check box of material specification in QM view.

I have two customers which one customer has SAP and another customer does not have SAP. so intially I have used Excell as data source. now I want to replace the Excel with BI Queries.Both having same structure.while replacing I faced the following problem.
I created one WebI report based on Excel as data source that has two Queries(Two universes).I want to replace excel based universe with BI query based universe.If I change the universe in an one query ,the univese is changed in an another query also. How can I replace two different universes that based on BI queries with existing universes ?
How can i resolve the problem?

As Thomas mentioned, changing one Data Provider causes the other Data Provider to get changed as well -- this is a problem for trying to change the universe on one tab and the system automatically goes and goofs up the other tab(s) as well. I'm still on XI R2 and the problem happens so maybe someone with XI 3.1 or higher loaded can confirm that this unwanted occurrence has been cleared up or not.

EMIGALL, DEVINFOREC - probs with reg.codes/factors for multiple registers

I have a problem with the migration object DEVINFOREC in EMIGALL. When I try to create a device info record with two registers, I don't get the fields register code (field KENNZIFF in structure DVMREG) and register factor (ZWFAKT in structure DVMREG) updated for the second register!!! The first register is OK, but for the second one, "nothing happens".
I'm using the flags KENNZIFF and ZWFAKT in structure DVMRFL. The problem I have here is, that it seems that only ONE entry of the DVMRFL record is allowed and therefor I can only update the first register (I think!!!).
When I tried to create an extra DVMRFL record with register number 002, I get an error saying:

Suggestions, anyone?

How to use one pop up window for multiple buttons and input fields?

Hi Experts,
I have created a pop up window that will be opened from multiple buttons in the same view. There are input fields that the data will be populated from a pop up window. How can I set up which button that a pop up window is opened from? I also would like to populate the data from a pop up window to the input field next to a clicked button. There are 6 buttons and 6 input fields that share the same pop up window. I would very appreciate your responses.

Hi,
Try creating 2 context attributes, one in your component controller and the other in the pop-up view. Bind the attribute of pop-up view to the component controller attribute.
In the main view, on click of every button set a unique code in the controller's context which helps you in identifying the button clicked. Since u have created a binding to the pop-up view attribute the value flows from the controller.
In the init method of your pop-up view, check the value of the attribute and based on that display which ever UI elements are required.
Eg:
On Button 1 click set value "B1", Button 2 value "B2" etc. In the init() of pop-up view u can check the values and perform the required operation:

Scanning multiple pages - pop-up for "Next Page" appears

I'm running Acrobat Profession version 7 on OS X 10.5.
My scanner is an Epson Perfection 3170 with an automatic document
feeder.
The settings for scanning seem to have been goofed up -- any
assistance in resetting them would be appreciated.
Previously, I could drop a handful of pages into the feeder, choose
FILE => CREATE PDF => FROM SCANNER in Acrobat, set the scanner to ADF
(automatic document feeder), and it would create a single PDF from the
whole stack.
Now, the first page scans, the second page feeds through without
scanning, and then I get a pop-up called "Acrobat Scan". It says,
"Next Page" and "Front of Sheet 2" is selected (no other options) --
and I can choose DONE or NEXT.
If I choose NEXT, it scans the next page (and then skips another page).
When I choose DONE, it goes back to Acrobat and the PDF is created.
(Obviously, every other page in the document is missing.)
It never did this before, and it's kind of pointless having an
automated feeder if I have to stop after every page.
A few points:
- reinstalling the Epson software did not help
- I notice that I get a separate pop-up the first time the scanner dialog opens -- this pop-up allows me to choose a scanner (only one is currently installed). Don't remember getting this before the problem started.
- I have another program that uses the same scanner -- it continues to scan multiple pages without interruption. Ergo, I assume this is an Acrobat issue.
Any suggestions on fixing this issue would be appreciated.

I've tried turning the scanner off/on, both after the computer is booted and when it's shut off.
Between the need to select "Next Paqe" all the time, and the fact that the scanner skips every other page, I'm really annoyed!
Does anyone have any other suggestions on where I might find a solution? I considered contacting Adobe, but their per-incident support seems kind of expensive.

Conflicting advice about changing from POP to IMAP on multiple devices

I get email to six POP accounts on three devices - iPhone, iPad and my MacBook Air. Deleting the emails I've already read on one device from the other two has become incredibly time-consuming. I've poked around on the boards to try to find out if changing my email accounts to IMAP on the iPhone and iPad only would be a good solution, but I've gotten conflicting advice. I found both of these statements, which would appear to contradict each other:
statement #1:
+No, that should be fine to do that but as mentioned above, you would set the POP account on your desktop to leave mail on the server. This is the setup I use (POP on desktop, IMAP on iPhone). I like it because it adds a layer of backup. If your mail server went down and lost all your email, you'd still have copies on your desktop in your POP account. Also, you can still reference/search email if your internet goes down.+
statement #2:
+I have to second these motions here - Do Not try to mix these two or you risk loosing email... Then make sure you reconfigure your Mail.app to IMAP. You will need to create a new IMAP account in the prefs, manually move all of your POP email to their corresponding folders in the IMAP account, and then delete the POP account.+
Surely lots of other people are finding it hard to manage their email with all of these other devices? Whenever I launch Mail in either my iPad or my iPhone it loads the new ones, plus up to 50 old emails from whenever I stopped deleting them before...

I don't know how many are switching. I assume that most users who have multiple email devices they want to keep synced set them up as IMAP accounts to begin with.

Pop up box in yahoo mail won't close, asks "do you use the yahoo! toolbar on multiple computers?" has option buttons but no response when clicking on anything, pop up box just sits there in the way

whenever I open my yahoo mail when using Firefox, a pop up box appears on the upper left side of the screen, it asks the question "do you use the yahoo! toolbar on multiple computers?" and gives click boxes for "Save to my yahoo ID" and "No thanks, just save to this computer". I get no response to clicking on either box, nor will the pop up close if I click on the "X" in the upper right corner of this pop up. It won't close out and it sits right over the top of the email messages in my inbox. All else seems to work fine, but can't get rid of this pop up box....very annoying.

Displaying an ALV list in a popup is by no means different from a list displayed on a main screen. The only thing you need to consider is that you set the right screen level when creating the parent container for the ALV.

How do I have Blu-Ray pop up menus linked together if I'm using multiple timelines?

I have a 6 timeline project that I put in pop up menus for. Each timeline asks for it's own pop up menu to use. The pop up menus seemed to need to be created with the multiple chapter option to work for me, I couldn't create stand alones and link them together because the timeline asks for ONE pop up menu associated with it. I then created 6 separate pop up menus (each one ended up with about 3 pages) one for each timeline. I tried to link POP UP MENU1 to POP UP MENU2 with a NEXT button at the end of the last page of POP UP MENU1. When I drag the whip to link it to the proper pop up menu when I actually look at the button the link is the current pop up menu not the one I want it linked to, so I am unable to do this. The pop up menus function properly on my Blu-Ray player- If I am viewing material from timeline 1, I can pull up POP UP MENU1 and arrow back and forth to the three pages on this, POP UP MENU2 functions the same way for timeline 2. etc.

First of all, the pop up menus can not be linked to each other.
If you want, you can have more pages on a single pop up menu and link all your timelines or chapters to the buttons of the pages and then link that pop up menu with more number of pages to all of the timelines. In this way, you can have the option to navigate to any chapter of any timeline while any timeline is playling.
