Regarding Open items in Tcode OVA8 in Credit Management

Assignment of Credit control area to sales area is not maintained& Item category is not credit active. But it is blocking some customers for open items for order. I want to know the reason. and also. Credit limit is defined for all customers &Credit control area is defined for all Customer master data. But blocking only 2 customers for open items . I will be thankful if any one answer to the reply . And i want to know the implication of open items in OVA8.

    All business have their own credit management needs, SAP allows you to specify your own automatic credit checks based on a variety of criteria. You can also specify at which critical points in the sales and distribution cycle the system carries out these checks.
    SM30 - Table/View
    V_TVTW – Define Distribution Channel
    V_TVTA_KKB – Assign sales area to credit control area
    V_T014 – FI - Define Credit Control Area
    T001CM - FI – Assign Permitted Credit Control Area to company code
    OVXG - Set up Sales Areas
    e.g. Sales Organization
    Distribution Channel Division Distribution Channel Division
    FD32 - Customer Credit Management
    OVAK - Define credit limit check by sales document type
    Check Credit
    A – Credit limit check and warning message
    B – Credit limit check and error message (no sales order can be created)
    C – Credit limit check and delivery block (block delivery if hit credit limit)
    Options B and C -> used for checking open order values (when you create/change the sales order)
    D – Automatic credit control with open order values

    You check for open orders and deliveries, or just open deliveries.

    You can have the followings credit limit check :-
    Static
    Depends on the customer total value of open orders, deliveries, billing documents and open items.
    Open items
    No of days open
    Overdue open items checks is based on the ratio of open items that are overdue by a certain number of days.
    Max open items %
    The customer balance must not exceed a certain percentage.
    Oldest open items
    If you don’t want to deliver to the customer at all when even only 1 invoice is overdue.
    Tick the Check for Oldest Open Item and Set the field Days oldest item = 1.
    Days oldest item
    No of days allowed for overdue or payment terms.
    Use of the credit check Oldest Open Item. If a user attempts to alter the order quantity of a released sales document
    that was previously blocked, it would be reblocked again by the system. The system only reblocks the sales document if the new order quantity is above a certain % amount.
    Released documents are still unchecked
    The preset % is whatever you want to set it as when configuring your automatic credit processing. You enter a deviation % and number of days,eg, you can set it so that an order can be changed by up to 10% within 30 days of original order entry date without it going back on credit block.
    Next Review Date
    If a customer has a credit limit of 1000 USD, and you would like to restrict this credit limit only to be available in current month (say March). If the document day is in April then the credit limit is zero.
    You can use the “NextReview date” and “Number of days” fields and combined it with the “Last int.review” field in customer credit master “Status” view (FD32).

    For uploading you need to create seperate GL masters you create one account group for upload accounts. Under that grp you need to create all accounts. All are balance sheet Accounts. GL Balance Upload Ac, Customer Balance Upload Ac, Vendor Master Upload Ac, Asset Master Upload Ac, Material Upload Ac. You should take the trail balance of the company and chose all gl accounts with balances. Use LSMW upload GL balance upload.
    Ex-Vendor Account: Vendor balances always shows credit balance and client want to upload line item wise ex line items are: 1000, 2000, and 3000 then
    Vendor Upload Ac Dr
    To Vendor Ac 1000 To Vendor Ac 2000 To Vendor Ac 3000
    Ex-GL Accounts: these GLu2019s always shows debit balances. When upload GLu2019s the entry will be
    Salaries A/c Dr
    To GL Upload A/c

    Hi,
    You need to do some testing to understand clearly on how the sytsem behaves,
    In normal scenario, the field Max.open item % is used in tandem with NoDays openl.
    In the field Max.open item %,  a % is added which denotes the ratio of the open items overdue by a certain number of days (which you mention in the field NoDays Openl) to the customer's balance should not exceed that % value.
    If no value is maintained in the % field  then, I assume, it is going to denote 0%. So when the ratio between open items overdue by certain days to the total customer's balance will always be more than 0% during credit check. This means the customer will always be in credit block (to me which makes no sense).
    As mentioned before, do a test by changing the settings before moving any further.

  • Difference in open items in Tcode f-04 & fbl3n

    Hi Gurus,
    Need Help on this issue. The user has an account "Cash in Transit" 
    nature of the account = Bank Account , Open Item, LIne item display.
    Problem is
    The user when is using transaction f-04 "Posting & Clearing"  for this particular account he is getting 15 items as open & when he is opening the same open item in fbl3n he gets around 60 items.
    In the same account when he reveses any entry using fb08 a new open item is created (visible only in fbl3n and not in f-04) and even the main line time (which was reversed).  This might be one of the reason due to reversal of many line items.
    Additional information
    This account is used for bank reco and the statement have posted perfectly, I have checked in "Reprocess".  There is not changes in open item management  since the account is created, I have checked the log
    Can any one share why its happening. What can be the reason.

    As I have seen alot of reversal "AB" document in the fbl3n. Can this be the reason for items not appearing in "f-04"
    What can be the reason the reversal too are creating open item, instead of clearing the line items.?

  • Open Items from FI not updating Credit Exposure

    I've activated BADI's, i have created a sales order(4400), did billing (4400) and posted and incoming payment (4400) to the billing document, in credit exposure report i am seeing orders and billing document in two credit exposure coloumns, though i did the payment. I am not able to see the liability category 200 (Open Items from FI) in it. Could anyone suggest what's missing. Why in credit limit utilization report it is showing 176% over utilization, i've maintained a credit limit of 5000.

    if you have paid your invoice - your credit exposure for the single transaction should be zero.
    Within your credit exposure you have un billed sales orders, un billed deliveries, and unpaid invoices, and other Finance journals.
    If you create an invoice for 100, and then clear that invoice via a payment of 100 - your credit exposure should be zero.

  • Add Ship-To Account to AR Open Item Processing TCodes (F-28, F-32, etc.)

    We have received a request to add in the Ship To Partner in to the AR incoming payment and clearing TCodes (F-28, F-32).  While I know we can add additional fields through TCode 07F5 I can't seem to find a way to add in a new custom field, especially one that is going to require some code more than likely to identify the correct partner on the invoice.  Does anyone have any idea? At present they have one screen open with F-28/F-32 and another screen with a SQ01 query that displays the accounts open line items along with the Ship To partner so they can identify the items they want to clear against but having it all contained within one layout on one screen would be ideal.

    I had thought about something like that.  We do use some of the XREF keys but I don't believe all of them.  Before I go and populate the Ship To in to a existing field I was hoping there is an option to add a custom field (that while not storing anything in the db does show the value I need in the open item processing screen) and have code behind it.  A benefit, atleast one that I have thought of over populating the data in to a new field is that the code could for example look up the Ship To party using the invoice reference field in case of a partial payment. I guess you could develop something to populate the Ship to on to the XREF Key in the event of a partial (residual) payment as well but then we've got two developments going on.  Still, Plan B

  • Open Delivery value update error in credit management

    Hi
    We have credit management active at delivery level. The value of open deliveries is not getting updated correctly for items with material substitution (material determination). For all other items, its getting updated correctly.
    E.g Let say the credit limit set in FD32 is 10000 and the credit limit used % is 98 and the credit exposure value is 9800.
    Now when I create an order with qty 10 for mat A, it creates a sub item B due to material determination and the value of the item is Rs.1200. In our system, the sub item with TAPS item category is relevant for pricing.
    Then I create a delivery in VL01N and save it.
    Now if i check in FD33, the credit limit used should be 101% and the credit exposure value should be 11000, but its not updating the open delivery value correctly. Its not considering the value of the new delivery.
    However, If I add a normal item (TAN) in the same sales order and create a delivery for that item and save it, its updating the credit exposure based on the value of the normal item in the delivery correctly.
    How to make the system update the open delivery values correctly by taking the items with material determination also into account.??
    Please advise if any specific settings need to be done.

    The balance must for the postings happened during those dates, there can be some postings prior to that date (Opening balance) and which when included the total balance must be netting to zero. Please check.

    Let say i maintain max open item % = 10 and NoDays OpenI = 40, can advise how system work with these with example?
    As each open item has its own due date. so I just wonder what does this 40 for. I read F1 but not quite understand.

    I raise the sales order against Letter of Credit. when i am saving the order throughs a message that Maximum open item value is exceeded for static credit check.
    When i am doing delivery system throughs an error that order is blocked

    Let say if I am using the Payment terms 0001 i.e Payment immediately due net .now what I want is that if I post the first invoice system as configured will check only the Credit check againt the credit Limit but when i post the 2nd invoice on the same day and the first invoice is not cleared system should give a warning message for it .
    Currenlty as i Configured it working but not for the same day option its give a warning on the 2nd day's invoice
