Regenerating Queries in ECC 6.0 using RSAQ_GENERATE_PROGRAM

Hi
In previous 4.7 upgrades, we've been able to use the RSAQ_GENERATE_PROGRAM function module to regenerate the programs for SQ01 queries, by building a table of the queries and passing each one in turn to the fm.
We've recently embarked on a ECC6.0/Netweaver 7 upgrade and function module gives the appearance of working ok, but doesn't generate the program.
Does anyone have experience in this area?
Thanks
Chris

  • Reconcile Inventory BI Content Queries with ECC

    Hi Folks,
I have a question regarding reconciling Inventory Management BI Content reports based on cube 0IC_C03 with ECC.
We implemented IM in BI, and now try to reconcile the queries with ECC. Specifically, I have one query, 0IC_C03_Q0008 - Stock in Transit.
We ran the report by Plant, in BI, it only showed one material with #, but people from ECC side use T-Code MB5T in ECC and saw many materials with Stock in Transit for that Plant; and for the material showed on BI report, the # doesn't match between BI and ECC.
What is the right way to reconcile the report with ECC? is there any other report/Tcode in ECC we can use?
Any insight ideas would be much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Freda

    Hi Freda,
For me, it is the typical nightmare to try to reconcile the cube to your ECC transactions since the cube summarizes and doesn't include your material documents.
So, to make it a bit easier to match MB5T or MB51, add an ODS with a material document and Material item key and all of the fields and key figures necessary for reconciliation (I usually look at the datasource's delivered fields and add whatever sounds reasonable to look at).  To fill records in this ODS, only fill them from 2LIS_03_BF, because BX and UM do not contain material documents.
While I was writting this, I think I realize what is happening in your situation.  If memory serves me correctly, MB5T is Cross-Company SIT, which is not part of the 2LIS_03* datasources.  They only account for Intra-Company (Plant-to-Plant within the same company code) SIT.  For that, there is a White Paper you can have an ABAP'er implement for you.
Here are two good documents you should read and be familiar with:
How to .... Report on Cross Company Stock in Transit: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/92c0aa90-0201-0010-17b1-bf5b11c71257
How to .... Handle Inventory Management Scenarios in BW: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f83be790-0201-0010-4fb0-98bd7c01e328
Also, when comparing my cube data to ECC/R/3, I use transaction MMBE in the ECC to identify stock quantities and stock in transit (SIT).

The user that owns the cubes and dimensions must have the role OLAP_USER so that the OLAP API can view the required information which is actually stored in a series of tables owned by the user OLAPSYS. This schema is usually referred to as the CWM catalog. I think the OLAP documentation explains the views that are part of this schema.
At risk of being rude - why are you creating a relational model? It is much easier to store your model within an 10g R2 Analytic Workspace. This is much more performant and provides greater functionality compared to ROLAP solution.
Watch out for Enterprise Manager (OEM) when deleting cubes and dimensions. I have had some very bad experiences with OEM not removing all the elements of a dimension or cube from the CWM catalog, even though the nodes in the OEM navigator tree do not show any dimensions or cubes.
Then when you try to connect to an OLAP schema with BI Beans you got some very serious java exception errors relating to corrupt metadata. At this point you have to use the OLAP PL/SQL packages to clean up the CWM catalog to remove all the invalid dimensions and cubes. It is not that difficult to do just takes a bit of time.
    Hope this helps

  • Execution of POWL Queries through ECC EHP5

    Hello,
I am an SAP BW Consultant, new to the Power list concept. I would like to have information on the following stuff related to POWL queries:
    1) In POWL_QUERY transaction, i got the list of all the available POWL Queries as per EHP5. Please let me know if there is any possibility of executing these queries directly from ECC, without being re-directed to Portal or NWDS? This is because we don't have Portal or NWDS in our current landscape.
    2) I have seen that POWL queries are generally the InfoSet queries. This gives me an option of leveraging POWL queries by executing directly as InfoSet queries from SQ01. But I found some POWL queries like "/KYK/OP_FI_VENDOR_ITEMS_ALL" which are not available in SQ01. How can I execute these queries from ECC? What needs to be done to make them available as normal InfoSet queries in SQ01? I have seen an option of registering InfoSet query as a POWL query, but here i want something just opposite.
    Would appreciate immediate response.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Prateek

    1. POWL queries are WDA applications.  Therefore they can be ran by adding them to the user's role or even directly in the Web Browser if they know the URL.  There is absolutely no connection to the NetWeaver Developer Studio at all and they can't be edited there anyway since they are ABAP based.  Now POWLs can often contain Portal API based navigation, however.  This is why we do make the general recommendation that you should run POWLs within the NetWeaver Business Client or the NetWeaver Portal.  Otherwise the navigation from the POWL to the detailed transaction might not work.
    2. These are probably feeder class based POWLs.  There would be no options to convert these back into InfoSet Queries.  I believe you are confusing two subjects here.  The purpose of POWL isn't to enable InfoSet queries.  Infoset Queries are just one of several possible sources of creating POWLs.

  • EP with ECC 6.0 using ITS

    Hello All,
We are upgrading from R3 4.7 to ECC 6.0.  We currently have EP 7.0 with ITS working alongside R3 4.7.
I am aware ECC 6.0 uses ICM instead of ITS, but will the current ITS 6.40 still work when connected to ECC 6.0? Or will I have to perform the changes so the portal uses the ICM?
    Thanks,
    Nick.

    Nick,
The official line from SAP would be to replace the old ITS based ESS screens with the new ESS 1.0 Business Package content - i.e. the new Webdynpro Java screens.  Personally, depending on your circumstances i don't see that it's quite that straight forward, and here's why:
    <u>Pros</u>
    - Webdynpro is now the "standard" UI for portal end user content.  Some of the old ITS technology still works in ECC, but the there is no guarantee how long that will continue.
    - You can do a fair bit to the Webdynpro screens (hide fields, add text etc) via personalisation, without any programming.
    <u>Cons</u>
    - Sap seem to be moving toward developing more and more new content in Webdynpro ABAP.  Meanwhile, if you need to change anything significant in the current ESS Webdynpro Java screens you will need to have NWDI installed, and have available developer resources with Java experience.
    - If you have custom IAC's in your old ESS that don't have a standard equivalent in the new ESS Business Package, what do you do?  Convert them to internal ITS?  Rebuild from scratch in Java WD, or ABAP WD?
    - Even some of the standard content from the old ESS is not available in the new business package.  For example, the old TEM services (PV7I, PV8I) are not delivered, SAP assume you will use the new LSO screens.  If you aren't implementing LSO, it's back to the old ITS services??
Sorry if that's not particularly useful, but without knowing the scope of your ESS implementation it's difficult to provide a clearer answer.
    Regards,
    John

  • Transferring of nmaterial from ECC to CRM using middleware tool (R3AC1)

    Hello Forum,
I need to transfer material from ECC to CRM where MARA-MTART = 'ZAWA'
In CRM MARA table do not exist.
I need help in transferring data from ECC to CRM using R3AC1 .
This transaction is not in ECC but it is in CRM.
    Thanks & Regards
    Lovleen

    Hello Lovleen,
In transaction R3AC1 you can define the filters for the adapter object MATERIAL.
THen you can do an initial load for this object via txn. R3AS which'll download materials from ECC to CRM.
    Thnx.

  • Can we download employee data from ECC to CRM using standard middleware?

    HI,
Can we download employee data from ECC to CRM using standard middleware? If yes pl give me the procedure.(not using HR ALE/IDOC)
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    PV

Standard replication for employee to CRM is using ALE.
BDoc send information for CRM for other business partner. If you want to use BDOC message for send employee to CRM, you should build your own BDOC message that read HCC Table and send this information to CRM.
However send this information using ALE is not difficult. Why don't you wan to use ALE?

Ok buttom is coming not able to open the file.
When i use the FM: SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT to download the XLS it self it is going abap DUMP that file type error.
Any one help  any Function Module or how to download data through abap programing into XLSX file.
    Thanks.
    Murali.
Message was edited by: Matthew Billingham - adjusted wording...

If you want to download your ALV to an .XLXS format file, with all the formatting intact, please try the following code. I have tried to create a custom Function module Z_EXCEL_DOWNLOAD_TEST wherein I pass all the callback variables, the final ALV internal table and all the ALV details like field catalog, sort, layout, event list and so on, along with the concatenated file path and file name in I_FILE. I have used a custom class ZCL_SALVEXPORT_XML which is a copy of the standard class CL_SALV_EXPORT_XML_DIALOG, with few modifications in Method: EXECUTE and Method: DOWNLOAD. The methods where I have modified the code are also shown at the end.

  • Issue in Temp table creation in PCM Databridge and data migration from ecc to PCM using databridge

    Hi,
we are working on mapping SAP PCM table structure data and the data which is coming from ECC.
We are using Databridge tool to upload the data for the same, upload from databridge involves
using Specification file to upload the data into SAP PCM.
The problem we are facing is that
The responsiblity center(cost center) in ECC and SAP PCm are different. There is one to many relationship between them
eg 1 ecc cost center-->many SAP PCM cst center,we need to split the line item vale of one ecc cost center into many SAP PCM cost centers
eg C1 cost center from ECC has value 4000 to be split across PCM1,PCM2,PCM3,PCM4 cost centers in SAP PCM
we need to automate using the databridge ,we are stuck up in this task.
    Please guide us.
Also we are trying to create temporary table usinf Table temporary command in SPE file of databridge. The purpose of this is to put the ECC data in temp table as per our req and then use the temp table as data source for putting data in PCm as per our requirement.
Please advise us on this approach
    Regards
    Shrirang

Schema's SYS,CTXSYS, MDSYS and ORDSYS are Not Exported using exp/expdp
    Doc ID: Note:228482.1
I suppose he already installed a software 12c and created a database itseems - So when you imported you might have this "already exists"
Whenever the database is created and software installed by default system, sys, sysaux will be created.

  • SAP ECC 6.0 - Using BAPIs for C# to extract data out

I have had a client recommend a strategy of extracting data usin C# (Visual Studio 2005) to extract data from SAP ECC using BAPIs.
We do have an existing methodology in place using flat files to extract data to non SAP systems
We have purchase XI which we intend to implement next year.
I basically wanted to keep things tidy and continue with the flat file interface strategy just to keep things simple going forward to XI.
THen there is also the security piece, the developer has had to slowly build a profile / roles that alows him to come in thru visual studio to access these BAPIs
I am looking for anyone who has had experience with this and what your experiences are.  As well, what are the SAP best practicies concerning this strategy
Thank YOU ALL who will reply

I think that SAP's strategy toward exposing BAPI is leaning toward leveraging their AS-JAVA stack.  With the AS-JAVA Enterprise Services and standard delivered web content, SAP is already exposing many existing BAPI/Business Functionality outside of the ABAP world.   However, that's not saying that traditional flat files have no place in the future.  Matter of fact, I don't see flat/delimited files going away any time soon.
It all really comes down to what you are doing, you may even end up with a landscape that's a mix of files/RFCs.  Here inhouse, we leverage file based transfers for large data sets such as SAP BI OHS extracts, and daily R/3 FI extracts.  Why file?  because it's simple, easy to control, and you can see the data being transferred.  A file can be "hold in my hands" if you will, at best there's just a few characters in-flight.
As for RFCs, any type of RFCs in fact (Anything from sap .net connector to AS-JAVA ESOA Based ES), are basically designed for transactional data.  Here, you are looking at things that are high in transactional count but small in individual size.  Your client's call using C#, it all really depends on how you are doing it.  MOST IMPORTANTLY:  Make sure you are using a proven, standarized, and SAP supported way, PERIOD.  NEVER EVER go into production with a "hack".
For the high-transactional-count-small-individual transactions, we leverage BizTalk Server (BTS) here.  I'll be frank, we are not using BTS because we wrote it.  We are using BTS because it just works better for us, in our environment.  BTS now support SAP 2.0 connector (registered program ID) and SAP 3.0 (WCF based, direct SAP RFC call, supported by Microsoft AND SAP).  We are leveraging these adapters and BTS (as distribution and transformation) in our environment more and more.
So, long story short:  Determine the transaction type, multiple solutions is ok, make sure the solution is supported!

  • Trigger an RFC call to ECC from PI using BPM

    HEllo Experts,
This is my first time in ccBPM and require your expertise in gaining some insights onto calling an RFC FM using ccBPM.
I am typically implementing the scenario as it is mentioned in this blog: /people/mitesh.parekh/blog/2008/12/01/receiving-aleaud-as-acknowledgment-in-ccbpm in order to generate acknowledgements from ECC.
I have created the IR and ID and I am successfully able to exceute the BPM till step2. Step 3 is the ABAP mapping part for which i have specified teh required properties and Operation mapping too.
My concern is that how do i proceed from Step 4 i,e how do i trigger this RFC call to ECC and receive it in BPM again?
    Thanks in advance,
    Elizabeth.

I am developing a scenario which looks like this MDM ->PI ( BPM)  -> ECC.
Now the Integration process that I am developing is with reference to blog http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/12249. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
I am posting MATMAS from MDM which is received in first step(receive step) of this BPM.
2nd step (Send step - BPM) will send this MATMAS05 Idoc to ECC and Pi will have a message id generated for this message.
3rd step of BPM (ABAP mapping) - which will read the actual PI Idoc number from system tables based on the message id from step 2.
4th step: Idoc number retrieved is to be sent in the requset message of RFC ZALEAUD4XI.
5th step: Response of ZALEAUD4XI RFC is to be received in PI and sent for further processing.
Do i need a mapping between the requset output of ABAP mapping and the input RFC requset message of step4?
    Thanks,
    Elizabeth

  • MDM to Multiple ECC System connection using PI

    Hello experts,
My scenarios is to Send Customer and vendor records from MDM system to multiple system. In First release we are sending data to two SAP ECC systems. So we are using File to IDoc.
Please help in the right architecture design as source is same but target are different and couple of field value in IDOC depends on target system. So do I need to do two complete scenarios - Separate Mapping, sender agreement, receiver determinations, interface determinations, communication channels etc or I can re-use some parts. If so how shall I approach with 1 source file to two target files with different values.
    Thanks!

    Ahmed

if two target structure are different
    esr:
    one source service  interface(a)
    two target service interfaces (b,c)
    2 operation mappings(ab),(ac)and 2 message mappings (ab),(ac)
    id:
in receiver determination , you have to define 2 receivers and sending data by using xpath condition.
need to create 2 receivers communication channels
need to create 2 Receiver agreemnets(because we need to use 2 target service interfaces for different structures)
need to create 1 interface determination.
