Reject Travel Request (Enter and Send Msg Error)

Hi Experts.
I Copied standard workflow for approve travel request, and add a decision control to know whether is national or not. It seems that runs fine, but when the user choose to reject the request, the screen of "Enter and Send Msg seems to open" but in a blink the screen disappear. I checked agents, standar task 20000139 but i can't find any error.
Any Suggestions,

What is the Status of the Workflow. Is that particular task TS20000139 got executed?
If it gets completed without any user action then this activity step might have some condition that is activated in the condition Tab of activity step.

I am able to allow user to enter rejection reasons using task TS20000139 (Enter and Send Message) when the user clicks the Reject button in SAP Gui. However when the user clicks Reject from the portal, the Enter and Send Message does not appear immediately. Instead it appears as a new task in the portal. Is there a way for the Enter and Send Message to appear immediately in the portal when the user clicks on the Reject button or any other task is there for Enter and Send Message supporting SAP portal...

the Advanced with Dialog works fine only in certain scenarios, as Jocelyn mentioned in the following thread. pl go thru' this.
Extended Notification-Submethods and advance with dialog not supported...
COming to your requirement, if you want to provide a box for the user to enter Rejection reason on the portal side, you can use the User decision Actiion Handlers as given in the below link. It is very simple and fast implementaion.
I have done this recently, so if you need more details, let me know.

Enter and send message from portal

I am able to allow user to enter rejection reasons using task TS20000139 (Enter and Send Message) when the user clicks the Reject button in SAP Gui. Actually advance with dialog will work under some specific scenarios from the UWL.
1. If you are launching work items using WinGUI.
2. If you are launching work items using SAPGUI for HTML and are on a high enough release .
In other words, it depends on the launch mechanism - not the UWL.
Try checking the launch mechanisms.

How to create job to run daily based on form values entered and send mail.

Hi,
In DB we have 3 columns: creation_date, name, approved_or_not. Default for approved_or_not is 'No'.
In the application form page suppose I fill in sysdate for creation_date and leave default for approved_or_not and click [create] button.
Now a job should run everyday and check for where (approved_or_not='No' & creation_date = 'sysdate - 1') and send mail to the person in 'name' field mentioning: 'Approval pending. click on link <some_link> for details on approval'.
Could anyone give me pointers to example on such job? (Working on APEX 3.0)

TS20000139 Enter and Send message

We are using Trip request workflow WS20000040. and when the approver rejects the trip request then the task TS20000139 executes and pops up a window where approver writes his comments , receiver id (employee) and will send it to the employee. The process works fine but our requirement is to write the receiver id by default (i.e.by workflow itself) as Workflow Initiator.i.e.No need for manager to search his employee's user id and enter in the receiver field. How can we achieve this ?

The recipient list is a multiline container element, so sending to more than one person is supported.

Since I don't have access to a SAP system now I can't confirm that the recipient list is a multiline container element in this particular task, but SOFM.Send method supports multiple recipients unless I am getting completely senile.

Despite my selecting Firefox as default browser, any link clicked goes to open IE browser, but that too does not open and sends an error message. Please advise.

I installed a HP printer on my desktop. To do this I had to temporarily discontinue some services (start/run/services.msc). The printer was installed successfully, but IE got currupted, it seems. Any link clicked went to IE instead of my default browser Firefox, but IE too would not function.

Error while displaying Travel request form (ABAP WD :FITV_TRIP_FORM )

When I am trying to create a travel request form , and then trying to display form its throwing an error
"The following error text was processed in the system ECD : Error in module RSQL of the database interface".
The error occurred on the application server mtserpdev_ECD_00 and in the work process 0 .
Kindly suggest as form "FITV_TRIP_FORM" is already attached via feature . Am I missing some config or
Is it a issue of patch. (Currently we are at EHP 4 , and all the applications inlcuding FITV_TRIP_FORM are on WD ABAP).

How can i send an error message at EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 ?

I'm making some validations to Vendor and Partner Functions (table control in 'Partners' Strip) in Creting/Changing Purchase Orders (ME21N/ME22N).
I know the suitable user exit is EXIT_SAPMM06E_012 for making validation before saving, but this exit does not has (receive) the table with Partner Functions so i could validate them.
Then I use the Exit _013, wich executes when saving the PO, because this exit has the captured Partners table (XEKPA).
But, when i make the validations and try to send a error mesage, the system shows other message type info (window) like 'The requested object is locked by another transaction' and then another like 'System error (error in method PO_POST)'.
I think this it's because the exit _013 is better suitable to make customer updates and not validations, that it's because just passing by MESSAGE Ennn(cc) command makes the methods catch my error and send other errors and close the transaction.
Does somebody can help me ??

Or is this incorrect ??
Or in wich User Exit can i validate the Partner Functions ??
I really will aprettiate if somebody can help me, because i'm delayed with my development !!

The eror message you are getting seems to be coming from somewgere else and may be due to the same PO being cahnged in another transaction or have you put some code in BADI ME_PROCESS_PO ( Method POST) .
You can try by commenting out the code in EXIT 13 .
If this does not work then use EXIT 12 only and below is the code you can use to access XEKPA in exit 12.
DATA IT_EKPA LIKE EKPA OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
DATA NAME(50) VALUE '(SAPLMEPO)XEKPA[]'.
DATA NAME1(50) VALUE '(SAPMM06E)XEKPA[]'.

Rejecting a request in Custom Workflow

I have a custom workflow at operational level for two level of approvals. Workflow is working fine and assigning the request to the correct role but when a user of that role is trying to Reject the request he is getting the error on the console. I can see the below error in logs:

This task expects the user to view task details before acting on it.
Make sure that the task is approved/rejected from task details page. Also ensure that TaskService API which takes task Object as input is used instead of the API which takes taskID as input.

As per my understanding the error is trying to say that open the request details page and then reject but the other part of the issue is when i am trying to open the Request details page( by clicking on the approval pending task), OIM is opening a blank pop-up which does not show anything.
Just for the information, We have two Human task in our workflow.

The second part is not my concern, what i am assuming is it can be the browser issue or some host issue.
But the issue is it is throwing the exception for rejecting the request at first level if we are not checking the task details. But at second level we are able to reject the request without even checking the details.
In my workflow, I have two Human tasks for two different level of approval. My thought is that using two Human task is creating this inconsistent behavior.

Processing Status in Travel Request ESS

Dear all Gurus,
I am implementing travel request approval process on ESS/MSS. After employee submits an travel request via ESS the processing status is set to have 'Released for Approval' status. Once manager approves the travel requests via MSS processing status gets 'Approved' status.
The problem I am having is when manager rejects Travel Requests. The processing status is changing to 'In Processing' instead of 'Rejected'. Do you know what needs to be done so that the status is set to be 'rejected' once the manager rejects the Travel Requests.

Status comes from Table PTRV_PERIO Field ANTRG (Travel Request or Trip Approved (Indicator)) ABREC (Open / To be Settled / Settled (Indicator)) i.e. we have only request status from 1 - 6 and settlement status from 0 - 4. See the domain fixed values. BAPI_TRIP_CANCEL can be used to enhance the statuses. Please check the class CL_FITV_POWL_UTIL and method GET_STATUS_AFTER_REJECT
