related to FI COPA
Edited by: udaya bhaskar nayani on Aug 11, 2010 1:59 PM

Hi,
whenever a realignment is done in the R/3 it will affect already running delta in the system and it will not run( start failing giving the error that source has changed)....so you will have to reload all the history again and then only you will be able to start the new delta loads.
so it's like doing the whole data load for the COPA data source.
So plan the downtime according for the production system as you will have to lock the use for that time of initialization of the CO-PA data source.
Thanks

  • COPA Assessment Cycles and FI Period closing.

    Hi Gurus,
I have question related to the COPA Assessment cycles.
We have closed the FI Period 03 and running the COPA Assessment cycles. while running the same, for few of the assesment cycles are completed and for the rest of the few  cycles it is error out stating the Period is closed.
Why it is running successfully for few cycles and why it is complaining for Period closing for the others. We are on ECC 6 Version of SAP.
Error out cycles contains Cost accounts and Asset Account GL Accoutns.

    Hi:
If your CO allocation has some external postings (like GL or fixed assets) or generating some intercompany documents, then it needs FI to be open also. It happens sometimes if the allocation goes external so it would need fI period to be open also. If FI is close but CO is open, it would only work for CO specific allocations and others would error out.
Please check the cycle/segment which is in error. If it is suppose to hit FI, then FI (OB52) and CO (OKP1) periods should be in sync.
    Thanks.

  • COPA Realignment in R/3

    Hi friends,
I have one doubt in the Realignment activity...
    1. After the completion of Realignment , i have checked the TKEBWL table in R/3... It was showing that the DIRTY FLAG is empty for certain COPA datasources....
Why some COPA datasources having DIRTY FLAG as empty???
What is the relation b/w COPA DS and the DIRTY FLAG???
Pls give some solution for this.......

    Hi,
After COPA reallignment in the source system delta loads fail in the BW if teh Dirty Flag is not switched on.
By default all the COPA data sources have Dirty Flag remains as empty. In order to ensure that delta records continue to come in spite of the realignment, this flag needs to be set. However this flag can't be set manually. A program needs to be written for this.

    Hi Experts
I have some doubts about COPA
    a) How can I know wich PA model (costed based / accounting based) is active in R/3?
    b) The costed model, have the account / cost element too?
    Thank you in advance!

    u can check KEA0.
in COPA the values comes form PA structure where u relate CE with COPA

    hope this helps.

  • Course won't load in LMS

We have a number of courses we created in Captivate 5.5 before we were able to upgrade to 6.  It seems like most of these courses have had some sort of issue with loading and/or resuming.  They'll start to load the player and just hang on "Loading". I've read somewhere that resume data in 5.5 didn't always play nice with the LMS, so we were hoping to republish these courses in 6.
My question is this: Will republishing a 5.5 file through 6 properly fix/update the resume data, or are we basically out of luck with those courses?
Our full situation is a little more complicated, but a clear answer to this would help us fit a piece to the puzzle and eliminate a variable.  We republished a 5.5 to 6, replaced it, and it still seems to hang on the load screen. But the odd thing is, it works perfectly fine from other networks.  We aren't experiencing any filter/firewall issues between our servers and the LMS, so I can't figure out what's making the Captivate courses in particular hang on just OUR network.
    UGH.

Captivate 6 introduced totally new SCORM drivers from the same company that makes the SCORM Cloud online LMS, which is reportedly the most SCORM-compliant LMS on the planet.
Since these SCORM drivers have been introduced we've been seeing far fewer LMS integration issues reported in this Adobe Captivate Forum.  So I would definitely recommend that you upgrade Captivate, but I would suggest you do the upgrade to Cp7 now rather than Cp6 and that you go for the Subscription plan so that from now on all your licenses will be using the very latest software.  Trying to get good integration with LMSs is a moving target.
Another thing I would suggest is that you make sure there is no caching of Captivate course content being done on your network.  It is possible that your issue could be related to older copies of the courses still being served up by Proxy servers.  One way to test is to publish the same course with a totally different name and see if it suffers the same problem.

  • How to have a production level subscription trigger a copy response (Asset)

I am trying to have a production level metadata value trigger a copy response to all the Assets in a specific production folder. I tried having a match up between a production level field value and a asset level field value and it does not appear to work.
    Any suggestions?
I would imagine others would find this valuable?
I deal with world productions, I need to be able to pass assets to different regions via a copy response to a FTP device.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,
I think I would add a metadata field on the production level (as an admin) named something like "copy production including related assets to" and then add a popup with a choice of something like "siteA, siteB,…".
You could then add a response which finds related assets and copies them over to the server of choice.
I am going to publish a little paper on archiving and backing up Final Cut Server / Xsan systems with Archiware PresSTORE within the next days, which describes a part of this workflow, too.
But if you need somebody to implement the whole thing, I guess Nicholas is the right person to help you doing this.

  • Regarding COPA report related to refurbishment Process

    Hi ,
When I am running a refurbishment process in IDES system is taking the GL a/c 895000- Factory output of production when I take the refurbishable material from store and return to inventory.
My question is whether all the financial posting done here for refurbishable material  should be reflected to COPA report or not?
If yes, I am unable to see this particular G/L account posting in COPA. What could be the reason?
    Regards
    DP.

    Hi
    Whether it is right G/l,
It's depends on you & your fico & client team.
If this account exclusively defined for refurbished material, then it is right and if this g/l is defined for any other transaction then it wrong one.
    Now Related to COPA entries,
Settle the order for which you are consuming this material by KO88, (Remove tick mark of TEST RUN)
Go to details>>>Accounting document>>>double click on Profitability analysis
and see values are updated in Cost field or not.

  • COPA Error - Document "1000000062" is not profit-related and thus could not

    Dear Experts,
I have an following issue , please send your inputs for the below issue.
Client is using Make to Sale order scenario ( MTO).
At the time of billing, COPA documents are not getting generated. I also checked if the COPA documents can be generated after VA88 (Make to Sale order settlement. But still the COPA Document for Revenue and Discounts is not getting generated.
Below is the error when KE5ST is executed. I have also checked the note 20254,  but couldnt fix the issue .
Error Message - Document "1000000062" is not profit-related and thus could not be transferred
    Message no. KF755
    Diagnosis
Sales document "1000000062" was not transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) because it is not relevant for the analyses in CO-PA. This can be due to one of the following reasons (among others):
The document type is not profit-related, such as an inquiry
The sales document shows zero for the quantity
The sales document has been denied
The sales document is locked due to credit reasons
    Advance thanks
    Sanjai

    Hi Sanjai,
I'm facing an issue related to Credit Notes without quantity volume. It is right to have Credit Notes without quantity, but we need to capture these amounts in COPA.
When the CN/DN is posted no COPA document is generated and trying to simulate this through KE4ST I've received the message you've outlined above "
Sales document "XXXXXXXX" was not transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) because it is not relevant for the analyses in CO-PA. This can be due to one of the following reasons (among others):
The document type is not profit-related, such as an inquiry
The sales document shows zero for the quantity
The sales document has been denied
The sales document is locked due to credit reasons
Do you know how we could capture in COPA these documents which have zero for the quantity?
    Thanks,

  • How sale forecast transfer to COPA via KSPP and not related to long term,

    Dear all experts,
i am trying to transfer my sale forecast to COPA via KSPP. However, this is not related to product group and long term planning.
    any configuration involve?
what is the step that i need to proceed?
    please advise.
    CJ

I think you are misunderstood something.  The KSPP transaction is used to transfer the activity for the planned order; either long-term or short term to cost center activity type planning (in scheduled activity; and with reconciliation function, can copy to plan quantity).
It is not related to sales forecast from COPA to SOP which KE1E t-code is used.
For KSPP, you can set the transfer control in configuration.  Alternatively, without configuration, you can use flexible transfer (menu Environment -> Flexible transfer).  This provide that you have the master data in PP and CO setup correctly.

  • Issue Related to CS { Customer Service order }..Revenue settlement in COPA

A CS order was created with correct partner information, however with the revenue settlement in COPA, the correct partner profit center was not derived. The derived profit center is incorrect and can lead to incorrect data/figures.

    Dear amitha,
    Please check your work center.
In work center you can find Cost center.
In cost center(KS02) you can find Profit center. Change the right profit center here it will impact on your service order.
Let me know if you need more clarity on this.

  • COPA: Relation between product and COPA

    Dear All,
Actually what I need is some clarity that if a product is not present in sap and it`s billing is done out of the system and cogs and revenue is not captured in the system for product.  In that case is it possible to get Product wise profitability on the same without creating the Material master for that product in sap.
For eg. suppose I sale 2 products say AAA,BBB through third party tool,I have not created AAA,BBB as product in my sap system.I use to capture COGS and Revenue for both out of SAP and later on consolidate results.  Is it possible to give Product wise profitability on AAA,BBB without creating the Material master for AAA,BBB in sap through COPA.
    Regards
    Nitisha

    Hi Nitisha,
One of the solutions to your requirement could be like that:
    1. You already have characteristic ARTNR created in your operating concern (it's a system created characteristic) and it caries material code for material created in SAP.
    2. Create a user characterictic e.g. WWMAT. Make sure that in validation you specify "No check".
This characteristic should be CHAR and of length that can accomodate both SAP created material codes and external material codes.
    3. In config transaction KEDR you define derivation rule for WWMAT. The rule should be MOVE and source field ARTNR.
    4. This way for every SAP created material WWMAT will be populated (in addition to ARTNR).
    5. In your FI journals (posting to profitability segment) bringing revenue and COGS from external system you populate external material code in WWMAT.
    6. You'll need to ensure consistency of external material code in FI journals as this field in CO-PA is not validated.
    7. You base you reporting in CO-PA on field WWMAT (not ARTNR) as this field will contain both internal and external material codes.
This way you can bring external materials to CO-PA without creating material numbers in SAP.

  • Photoshop CS2 issues & Customer Relation's solution

i bought a g5 quad in June 06 that failed in july 06. they were unable to resolve the issue and gave me a replacement machine.
i was given a mac pro with 4GB of RAM and a terabyte of internal storage. the 2 oem 500GB Seagate 7200.10 hard drives took over 9+ hours to zero out: the apple store genius told me this was normal. i have since purchased 2 different hard drives. one of the same capacity which zero's out in under 2 hours. that number IS normal.
Adobe Photoshop CS2 Bridge and Camera RAW have never worked properly on this machine since i got it, quitting all the time when renaming files or browsing my hard drive folders in Bridge. i was told that this is normal and that CS3 and Leopard will fix all this. then the CS3 Beta came out and the machine quits even with the new version.
i contacted Adobe, they say it is my hardware. i went to the apple store and showed them the problem and was able to duplicate it on every mac pro in their store and they said it must be a software issue.
i bought more RAM from apple. the machine works somewhat better now, but it still crashes in photoshop and adobe camera raw and bridge. i purchased lightroom and have looked at changing my workflow, and this program too quits intermittently.
i called apple customer support again. they walked me through using a different user account. same issues. i asked to speak to customer relations. i got on the phone with the lady, and i asked if it was possible to send someone out to look at the machine since it is not working properly, and she said that it is not something they would do since it is not their problem. i asked if they would be able to help me decipher the crash logs so i can find out WHY the machine is crashing.
her exact words were, "well, maybe you can sell it? if it is giving you all these problems and since it is not our hardware, it might be best for you to sell it and buy something that works."
"sell it." i would like to say that "sell it" was not the answer i was looking for. i wasn't even mean to her. i was extremely polite and i got, "sell it" from customer relations. i hope none of you get "sell it"
good luck to all of you.

You use to use Windows but decided to move to Macs at some point, and not look or go back. And that the Quad G5 worked up until some point.
When I got my Mac Pro back in late August/early Sept, I ran into some oddities that no one could help me with. Drivers from Lexmark for their laser printers. Suffice to say that I spent weeks if not month trying to track down why etc. and doing the "clean install" but ended up with the original install disk image.
I'm always afraid if I am forced to install any drivers for now as a result.
I updated SoftRAID (I thought) and ran into every driver and extension conflict possible, known and unknown.
Clean install and avoided anything I could "live without" this time around, and it was stable. For a few days, any and every - and I mean absolutely anything I tried to launch, run or whatnot would CRASH.
I was ready to point fingers. But at whom? ah! must be the Ramjet. Passes all tests, but there must be a gremlin and nothing is good enough to find the cause.
System is now rock solid and stable.
I don't know really what or why. And whether it was SMC reset (I wish they would paint the button in RED!) or zapping PRAM/NVRAM.
I also installed Vista to see if it was OS X or hardware or not. But I never learned what is needed to really use and secure a Windows system - or troubleshoot it if it goes haywire. But you would.
I have spent 40+ yrs tinkering with computers, and 20 with Macs. I think I still remember some of the troubleshooting days from 1990 hunting down shareware bugs.
If it is hardware, it would fail running XP too, maybe? did you retain your license for and copies of Windows and CS2 or whatever you would use? (The Mac Pro really shines running Windows Vista from what I've seen).
It doesn't take a lot to turn a Mac into a crash-prone system. There are some bugs even with the OS update installer itself it seems.
Troubleshooting is as much art as science. Hunches based on what feels wrong with some sweat and guesses backed by some "CSI" sleuthing and detective work.
Only Apple or Intel would know if they have had to come out with re-designed chips, a newer motherboard, or cpus. Or the AMB used on the Risers.
As I said (5 pages ago?) a friend had a G5 Quad that would not run CS2 properly, was crashing etc. (and had on-site Care etc) and the latest logicboard (3rd) stopped the problems, CS2 runs faster and better, it doesn't crash, and the benchmarks show it.
There are revisions to logic-boards. I read it takes 3-6 months to get a pattern of a problem, and another 3-6 months to redesign parts, manufacturing, testing, between engineering prototypes and manufacturing.
I thought the whole idea of AppleCare was sort of the "care" in AppleCare. And to solve a problem.
It would take someone with access to what engineering errata is going on. What changes were made to G5s. There were other problems with Quad it seems as well, heat, the liquid cooling components (there are two varieties).
I don't have the stomach or temper to deal with customer service, phones, etc. But I would make an appointment (yes, again!). I don't know what terms there are for small business or customers to get premium care, probably not good.
We had a mainframe with a bad memory card or bank. We thought. We also swapped out every part trying to get it fixed. We even had to keep the room temp colder and controlled humidity. A new system for us would have been lower maintenance, lower energy bill, less strain on a/c even. And smaller (so we didn't need to use as much floor space). But government can be "penny wise and pound foolish" in such matters.
I know you are just getting familiar with things like "Onyx" and "Disk Warrior" and such. Those can be helpful.
Crashing does tend to lead to more crashes. Mac OS X is not immune to side effects of what they can do. And usually you want to finish a project, not get sidelined.
I wish you had a G5 Quad in there. Two systems. Maybe two G5s even if you have the work or so you can be running CS2 on one and CS3 on another. Or have a techie "gearhead" come in and test and insure that your systems are in working order. Something.
It ain't normal. And it should get more than a "brush off."

  • How to check COPA Data in R/3

    Hi Experts,
There are some entries of COPA posted in BW are incorrect. Business wants to know who has posted these entries in R/3 . Could you please suggest me some transactions codes of R/3 for COPA related data so that I can investigate it.
The problem is with Profit Center and Sales District Data there are some extra entries for Profit centers not relevant to the Sales District assigned.
Reward points would not be a problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    BW USER

    Hi,
Your records are in BW ?????do you have the CO_PA documnets number with you.???
then go to KE24 or KE25 as mentioned and here you can give the CO-PA doc number you will get a list of records just double on the recprds and it will take you the respective COPA docs....andhere check what is enetry maintained in the sales district field...and you can verifye whether the postings are correct or not.
These transactions are fast enough then the SE12 and RSA3.
try to give as much selection as possible when looking in KE24.
    Thanks
