Report generation failed

when i try to generate the report using the Oracle BIP 11g services from Jdeveloper it is failing.
I have set the DynamicDatasource in the report request, following are the error log

If i didnt set DynamicDatasource in the report request the report is generating successfully.

Hm, it looks like the file might be open in another application. If you see that file accesss is intermittently denied, you should try disabling the Microsoft FindFast utility.

I just received instructions from the TMG software company to uninstall and install the PDF driver they use. This fixed the problem. Apparently upgrading to v7.01 damages the driver but reinstalling it corrects the problem.

Cisco ISE 1.1.1.268 Giving error (Report Generation failed. Cause: Null)

I have this issue and I would be very thankful if someone has the answer for this. When I am trying to access Operation > Report > Catalog > Posture > Posture Detail Assessment & clicking on any posture session detail icon. I am getting following attached errors.
1. Report Generation failed. Cause: Null
2. Cannot execute the statement.
Does anyone knows how to get rid of this error & to get access of posture detail.

The error message means that Active Directory server Reject the authentication attempt
as for some reasons the user account got locked.I guess, You should ask your AD Team to check in the AD
Event Logs why did the user account got locked.
Under Even Viewers, You can find it out

Report Generation Fails

I having trouble with ARD 3.1 generating reports. I select a remote computer to run a report on and then it queues. The report than hangs in the process of generating. In activity monitor ARD shoots up to 145% use of CPU when the report tries to generate. the ARD Agent then goes to "Not Responding". Also several times ARD has completely crashed when attempting reports. No firewalls are running and the test computer I'm trying to reach is on the same subnet. Any ideas?

I have been having problems generating reports.
Constant messing around, trying, failing, changing prefs etc. has fixed the problem almost 100%. This using ARD 3.1 on machines on the LAN (Airport) and via the internet.
However ... there is a single report (Application Usage) on one machine, via the internet, which I can see being 'Collected' via the Task progress, but it crashes ARD 3.1 instantly every time when it starts to transfer to my Admin machine.
This leads me to suspect that the Report Generation problems have more to do with Cache issues, than anything else. (Rebuilding the report doesn't help).
Does anyone have any specific info on what and where ARD 3.1 keeps its caches?

Query preview works; report generation fails

I have a report query pulling data from two tables that: works in MS SQL Management Studio with no errors, and when copied and pasted into the Query window in BIRT works with a resulting Preview window as expected. However, the moment I hit View (in HTML or PDF, my two preferred outputs), I get an error message stating that the Report viewer cannot convert:
"Can not convert the value of None to Integer type."
I am sure this refers to the following query code:

Where I cast the value of field access1 (tinyint) to a varchar in a case statement. However, what I don't understand is that the preview runs and returns the expected text ('None') with no problems.
Why does the report generation itself cause this error - and more importantly, how do I fix it?
By the way, the above code worked, at one time, without the CAST statement (both in Preview and in the report) but I changed the data tables and re-bound the report fields (one-by-one - there are 20 of them.)
Ideas? What am I missing?

OEM Report Generation Failed

Hi Guys,
I have been trying to set up ORM Reporting, I have changed the REPORTS_USER password, I have run the "oemctl configure rws" script and I have stopped and started the HTTP server. However when I log on to http://server.name.com:3339/ and try to access the reports it comes up with this error:
"Generation of the report failed because a connection could not be made to the Oracle Management Server oem.hazpower.com. Ensure that the Oracle Management Server is running and that the webserver has been appropriately configured for Enterprise Manager Reporting."
I can't find out where the problem sits, are there any logs etc that I can look at???

Cause: ===== The JSERV.PROPERIES file contains two LD_LIBRARY_PATH entries. One of which is incorrect and pointing to non 32bit environment. Fix: === Navigate to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/etc/jserv.properties file and correct the entry. Restart Apache and access the Reports.

EOL/EOS report generation fails

Hi,
I am using LMS version 3.2 and i am not able to generate EOS/EOL report with error no connection to Cisco.
Saw an update i LMS portal as this:
Now Available! LMS 3.2:Patch for un-interrupted service of Cisco.com download for Device/Software/PSIRT/EOX updates (To be applied on or before 15-June-2011)
so upgraded the patch cwcs33x-win-CSCto46927-0.zip and restarted the demeon as read in the read me file for the patch.
Now the job execution status is always shows running, its neither fail nor pass.
Why is this like so ?? files attached...

I'm facing the same error even when the server time out is more than the query execution time of the report.By server time out I assume connection time out of WebI report server which I have set to 180 min.But the actual query takes maximum of 5 min.
We are using BO XIR2+SP2.
I scheduled a webI report to get saved in Excel format to an Unmanaged disk location upon a File Event.
We have 3 such reports to be scheduled on the same event.
Expected frequency of File Event getting fired in a day is twice.Scheduling frequency I have set it as every one hour with the file event.
This usually should work fine.
But frequently 1 or 2 of the above 3 instances are getting failed with the following error "Object could not be scheduled with in specified time interval " after being in Running state for few hours(8). Amazingly this is not happening every time. May be once or twice in a week.This works fine after I restart the BO services and the same thing repeats after 3 or 4 days.
Do I need to increase any server parameters?
Why is this happening randomly?

Report generation failed after migrated from 6i to 10g.

Hi All,
i have migrated the 6i application to 10g.
There was a report which was generated in .html format and saved to a remote server location.
Now after migration to 10g,when i run the report through the URL ,It is still generated on the same remote server location but the it is not showing in the application interface.

The schema in the 10g is a newly created one, is there any special right I need to create grant to this new user?Grant the necessary privileges on the tables (and any other objects used, like sequences) directly to the owner of the triggers. Privileges granted to a role don't count in AUTHID OWNER stored procedures; the privileges have to be granted to the owner of the stored procedure (or to PUBLIC).
It the error is occurring at position 60, then it looks like you don't have privileges on dual. Login as SYS and
GRANT SELECT ON dual TO PUBLIC;You may need synonyms (perhaps public synonyms) for the objects, too.

PDF report generation fails with v7.01

I have software that generates a PDF report. I upgraded FireFox to v7.01 and I now get an error that the printer is not activated even though I am saving the report to a disc file and not printing it. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

I just received instructions from the TMG software company to uninstall and install the PDF driver they use. This fixed the problem. Apparently upgrading to v7.01 damages the driver but reinstalling it corrects the problem.

Error in report generation-Load report failed

I have installed crystal reports for VS2005 runtime in my live environment.When i try to load the report file from a .Net page i am getting the error'Error in Report generation-Load report failed'.
This works fine in development and testing but when moved to production we are having issues.
I believe i have a workaround i.e i need to open the rpt in a VS 2005 environment and re-write the connection string again.This fix had worked in development and testing when we had the same issue.
But not sure if this is a known issue with crystal reports and if so do we have any hot fixes for the same.
Please help.

The reason why i posted the item on 'data Connectivity issues' is because i suspect the problem is with the connection string.Though i had provided the correct connection string,re-writing the connection string with the same info might help to fix the issue with loading the report.
Does it mean that there is a problem in the connectivity?
I have a risk here that i cant re-write the connection string..i.e to open the RPT file in VS2005 and bind it.The production web server & database server sits in a third party environment and it is not in the company network.So i cant connect to this server to re-write from any other severs in the network.
Is there any fix which can applied to the server to get this issue resolved?

Report generation: server execution failed

the app has been running for months. IS dept just upgraded machines and software. NT4.0 is now Win2000 and Office 97 is now Office2000. Report generation tool kit is not happy. Even running NI examples I get error -2146959355 server execution failed in Font Style.vi

Searching the Microsoft's web site, I found some info on this error:
If you have never had Norton AntiVirus installed on your computer, follow the following instructions:

Ive createe one pricing condition table in Dev environment and now Im trying to transport it in Quality environment. This table is for CRM only.
In development every thing working fine but while transporting in Quality I got the error "Generation of access report CNRCRMPRCUST999 failed." And I am Unable to maintain records for the respective condition type I got the error "There are no maximum generated tables for condition type ZXXX".

For the error;." there is no entry in the object directory (TADIR) for R3TR TTYP /1CR/RCBSAP017_T"
This mean that Table 017 in R3 is for Application 'M' (Purchasing for Pricing 'A') which is not revelant for download to CRM. If you see the download object DNL_CUST_CNDALL, filters for T681 are on Application V, TX (KAPPL). In the R3 side in T681, have 2 entries for KAPPL= V, and the usage's are E (Rebate) and N (Free Goods). So this might be the reason why it has come to CRM. The relevant tables in CRM for the above are /1CN/CCBSAP017 and /1CN/CCFSAP017. If you see /SAPCND/T681
table for these 2 entries, GESTA field has '5', meaning the tables are downloaded. However, these tables are not used in any free goods condition types or rebate condition types/access sequences in CRM and R3. So I think this table is not being used for rebates and free goods, you can also check the corresponding tables in R3, KOTE017 and KOTN017, which have 0 entries
which indicate that they are not in use, so we can ignore this error.
IPlease also check note 1003793. and restart the customizing download DNL_CUST_CNDALL.

EHS MSDS Report status : Generation failed

Hi all,
I have created a report (in CG02) and when I try to release I found the status is Generation failed. Unless the status is Gen. Successful, I cannot release the report.
I found no errors in report template and creation of Gen. variant.
Is it the problem with WWI server? or problem with IMG settings? I find Gen server is up and running. Issue is under high priority.
Can someone help me?

a) Create MSDS report (CG42)
b) Edit Generation Variant (CG2B)
Settings:
(I have assigned my template to the Generation Variant)
Generate manual request automatically: marked
Change Marks: 0
Initial release status: RE (released)
Version requirement: unmarked
Set historical automatically: unmarked
c) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report from Template (to test the design - display is correct and all phrases can be found)
d) EHS > Specification Workbench > Create new report
(report has been created succesfully and appears in Report Management).
e) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report Management:
MSDS_29    Material Safety Data Sheet for China     World
Chinese          Not Relevant    Generation Poss. => generation possible.
Feedback affter clicking on Accept: You tried to carry out action 'Accept' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.

d) SE38 I have no jobs scheduled yet, so I run the following two programs to start the worklist manually, RC1AVGE1 and RC1AVGE2.
RC1AVGE1 - gave allot of feedback information regarding to changes and so on (first time I run it).
RC1AVGE2 - feedback: EHS: 'Worklist Generation for Reports - Selection for Check. - 0 reports to be checked were found'
From my understanding program RC1AVGE2 - should generate the MSDS.
