Report Painter- How to make cost center report for Jun07-Jul08 ?

Hi Experts,
I need to make a P&L (Actual/ Plan) report for Jun 07 - Jul 08 by using Report Painter, but I'm having difficulty to make column for the next year period (2008) and some other things.
We are using K4 Fiscal Year Variant in ECC 6.0.
The layout is somehow like this:
Header : Cost Center
             Actual/Plan Report
             June 2007 to July 2008
Body:
Cost Element     |   Total Actual   |   Total Plan |  Actual  June | Plan June .................Actual July | Plan July    
xxxx       
xxxx
Account Group (total)
xxxx
xxxx
Account Group (total)
Grand Total  
How to:
a. make the header "June 2007 to July 2008" ?
b. make the selection screen to provide parameter for June 2007 to July 2008? (e.g.: period 6 fiscal year 2007 to period 7 fiscal year 2008)
c. provide layout (rows and columns) as described above? it should provide detail cost elements and also calculate it as the total per account group, then finally the Grand Total for all of account groups.

Hi,
1. Put Year and Month as your General Selection parameters
2. In the label of the fields, if you put the parameter name with & before, it will display the value
3. If you put cost element in General selection, it will come with a group, and when you selecting the group, the report does the sub-totals automatically.

  • How to get cost center ranges for a given company and division...

    Hello Experts,
    Is there a table, BAPI or FM that can get the company or division of a given cost center?
    Currently I am creating cost center ranges in my program but that is not the best way to do it
    since they can always add or delete cost centers. Just like in transaction OKEON wherein you
    can see the cost center ranges for a given company or division.

    You can try BAPI 'BAPI_COSTCENTER_GETDETAIL1'.
    You need to pass controlling area and cost center detail to this BAPI.
    It will return the cost center detail in return.

  • Report Painter-How to make a hierarchy a cleared hierarchy?

    Dear CO experts,
    I am currently working on a report painter issue. We are using some cost element groups in a Report Painter Report.
    Do you have any idea as to how to make a hierarchy a cleared hierarchy? I understand that there must be some uniformity with the Hierarchy but what way? Are the nodes in all the levels must be similar with the levels?
    We have some issues with our hierarchies which i understand are uncleared as per OSS note # 195900.

    Hi,
    again note 195900 gives an example for a uncleared hierarchy:
    Example of an uncleared hierarchy (cost element groups, see below), which means that the values for cost elements are sometimes assigned at level 4 of the group hierarchy (set_1111, 1112), sometimes at level 2 (set_12), sometimes at level 3 (set_131) and so on.
    A cleared hierarchy is where all bottom groups (the ones where the cost element values are assigned to) appear at the same hierarchy level (eg level 4):

  • Report Painter: P&L on Cost Center Group,BA(WBS/Internal Order) wise

    Dear Experts, i require to create a report in report painter.
    The requirement is to display P&L account on cost center group wise; if cost center is not mentioned and WBS/internal order is mentioned it should be shown under the respective Business Area and if non of the above is mentioned it should be shown in a separate column (General). The total of each GL should match the trial balance amount.

    Coz. Cost Center information will get in different library in GRR1

  • Report painter- business area and Cost center

    Hi All,
    we have a requirement to create the Report painter report where in the Revenue will be By business area and cost of the particular cost center by Cost element.
    i.e revenue by Business area against cost by department.
    It it possible to use report painter to create such report?. when i was going through the report painter it does not allow me to pull the cost  by department .

    Hi,
    Business consolidation is for more of consolidation purpose and cost center grouping is more for management reporting purpose for cost control purposes.
    Both the organizational units serve for different purposes. Consolidatied business will not have much meaning unless you go with EC-CS.
    Cost Center Groups are much for control purpose and help in managerial reporting.
    Business Units are part of FI Organizational Structure and Cost Centers are part of CO organizational structures.

  • How to make Cost Center display/default at expense level in PR05

    Dear Friends
    I've a requirement in Travel Mgt where in PR05 at each expense line item level i need cost center to be displayed by default as 100%. Is there any possibility at the config level or Exit level to make it default.
    Currently we are using a Exit: ZXTRVU03 for Cost center & Business area validation. where my client has given us a cost center ranges to make business area as default explicitly only for Travel Mgt. for ex: we have a Cost center range as 74001 - 74018 for this range the default business area for Travel Mgt must be 101 and for HR & FI it can be 101-110 any range. Based on that we have written a program using the Exit ZXTRVU03. Now the problem we are facing is in Master data the employee is falling under the above mentioned costcenter and HR has given a business area which falls under 101-110 (take example as 105)
    Now the issue here is, based on the Master data, when we incur any expense in PR05, the Business area 105is coming by default for any of the expense. Now as per my client, this is wrong. It must be 101 at any cause. So, based on that we have made an enhancement that if user changes the Cost distribution to 100% or make the cost distribution with splits like 50% with home cost center & 50% with another cost center then only our enhancement gets triggered. But user is not satisfied with the solution provided, as we cannot expect users to change the cost distribution unless there is a split. So we are planning to pass a value in the cost distribution field as 100% ( as in std the field itself is blank, but still it denotes as 100%)
    I hope the above screenshot makes it clear. Now instead of manally entering 100% to make the enhancement trigger, is there any possible solution where I pass the value as default 100% to make users life easier.
    Note: we are not maintaining IT0017 for cost center, company code, Business area as we are reading this data through Master data.
    Kindly provide me your valuable solutions.

    Maintain Cost centre at each Organization unit at infotype 1008.
    at PR05 it will pick by default.

  • Cost Center Reports contains No line items

    Hi,
    I have posted a document in finance and made the assignment to the respective cost centers.
    But when I checked the cost center report KSB1 or any other cost center report, it does't contain any items in it.
    I have checked up the controlling settings and versions controls and locks for the particular cost centers every thing is fine.
    When I am displaying the document overview it is showing the controlling document.
    But I do not kown why it is not appearing in the report called KSB1 or any other plan/actual variance report. It is very interesting why it happens to be.
    Can any one help me in this regard.

    Hi Rakesh,
    When I am executing the transaction KSB1 I am not getting any messages at all.
    It is not displaying any items in it.
    I have checked OKKP, everything is fine. If these setting are not fine how come the document is generated in controlling.
    It is very interesting how the report is not displayed when the document is generated.
    You may be correct I may not have authorisation to display the report.
    How can I check this.

  • Report Painter - How to identity statistical orders in a Cost Center Report

    Hello,
    currently I am in the process of building a cost center report based on reporting tabel CCSS.
    This report should list all primary and secondary costs which are charged to a specific cost center/cost center group .
    The cost center or cost center group is given in the general data selection.
    All direct primary cost postings are identified in rows like this:
    - Cost Element (SET): cost element group A1, A2,...Axx
    - Business Transaction Type: COIN
    All primary cost postings deriving from (real) internal orders are identified like this:
    - Cost Element: 1 to 9999999999
    - Business Transaction: KOAO
    - Partner object number: 0 to 99999999
    Now here is the problem:
    The controlling department requests to identify all primary cost postings  to the given cost center which have been postet to a statistical internal order at the same time.  The most part of the primary costs have been directly postet to the cost center in the Additioanal Account Assignments. But some have been posted to the cost center and at the same time to a statistical internal order.
    Looking into BSEG I can quickly identify these line items as they have a value in BSEG-KOSTL and BSEG-AUFNR.
    How can I select these items in a report painter report?
    I would like to separate all items whith connection to statistical int. orders from those with no connection to internal ordes.

    once again, thank you for your quick reply.
    You hints and remarks are very much appeciated.
    My problem seems to be slightly more complicated than what I had expected.
    All postings to the cost center/cost center group are actual postings. The cost center is the "real" cost element, there are no postings of value type 11 here.
    Most postings have the cost center as the only cost element, but others additionally mention a statistical order.
    My goal is to seperate those postings to the cost center [as (real) cost element] plus the statistical order from those with only the cost center.
    I would also like to sort these postings by the order number.
    I could easily write two reports:
    One  for the cost center and another one only for the statistical orders. The latter would use value type parameter 11 (as you proposed!). Unfortunately, I do not know all order numbers tied to the cost center. As table BSEG is not suitable for SAP Query,  I  run into deep problems here.
    I know I have problem in the design of my report here and  I would like to sort out, which options I have.
    Is Report Painter a suitable tool for me here anyway?

    I want to attach the Variable - "Cost element group" to the Library for Report Painter for getting Cost center report. The Cost center report should be cost element group wise with actaul, budget and variance. Please let me know the process.

      I think you have to first define Attribute mis as "V" in Cost element master basic data tab for the elements you want to capture as varible.
      Then make a Cost element group / set in KAH1/GS01 and use it in your report.

  • Transaction Code for Cost Center Report

    Hi everyone,
    using report painter I have created a cost center report which is a copy of a standard report. Now I would like to create a transaction code for this report which can be run from the menu.
    Can anyone explain step-by-step how to do this? I have already tried creating a TC for GR55 but this seems not to be what I want. I want the TC to start the report directly.

    Hi,
    Go to SE93 (create a new transaction), choose 'Transaction with parameters'. In the Transaction field put 'START_REPORT' and tick 'Skip Initial screen' flag. Tick all flags for GUI support and in the parameters section (below) type four parameters:
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE = RW
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORT = (library of reports)
    D_SREPOVARI-VARIANT
    D_SREPOVARI-NOSELSCRN

  • Report Painter: How to change the order of lines in selection screen

    Dear Gurus on Report Painter,
    how can I change the order of the lines (where the values for the variable selection of my cost center report are entered) in the selection screen of a report painter report? The Selection screen looks awful.
    Is there also a possibility to add another description to each line of the selection screen?

    I am afraid you have much choice in choosing the order of the selection parameters. However, with the developer's access you may.
    This is how!
    Step 1: If it is a standard report, copy to your own report. and assign it to a report group. and execute.
    Step 2: When you execute, and the selection appears, go to systems>status and here , copy the program name (it may look something like GP46LP6VEDORBSA2IHWYSR4TL58020)
    Step3: Go to SE38 and enter the above derived program name with a view to re-arrange the line withing the program, with reference to selection parameters. 
    For example: I have a selection screen in the following order:
      Controlling area            
      Fiscal Year                 
      From period                 
      To period                   
      Plan version                                                                               
    Cost center group           
      Or value(s)                 
      Cost element group          
      Or value(s)                 
    The corresponding program that drives this order is in the program and would look like this,

    If you want fiscal year to appear first, you try just copying the coding relating to fiscal year just above the coding for Controlling area.
    Extend the same logic for what you may want to get.

    GR55 allows you to execute a report group.
    From the menus in GR55 you can navigate to various other
    transactions. In the transaction go to "Report Writer" and
    you can see these transactions (Report, Library, Set etc).
    However this is only the report group, not a specific report
    within this group. So if you wish to have a copy of a report
    proceed as follows:
    Go to GR53
    Enter your report group
    Click on reports
    This informs you of the report name and library
    Use GRR1 to create a new report copying from the
    existing one. Then GRR2 to make whatever changes you
    need, such as adding accounts if its a report painter report.

    the standard SAP cost center report S_ALR_87013611,
    displays Actual cost & plan cost against cost elements.
    the requirement is to display the values against Alternative account number(SKB1-ALTKT).
    this report has been generated through painter,
    is there any characteristic value for alternative account number?
    is there any variable or set ID , that i can use while creating the row against cost element.
    if we have to create a variable or SET ID, and assign it, how to achieve this?
    Is there any SAP easy book for Report painter.
