Reporting(ods to cube data)

hi friends,
i have 3 recodrs , i loaded from flat file to ods again i loaded ods to cube.
now i added 1 record in flat file. first i had sent delta to ods, again i had sent to cube. so in cube first 3 records and 1 recoprd delta.
if i will go to rrmx, i need to get all records(3 and delta 1 total 4 records). can i get 4 records in reporting or not.

I am not really sure to understand your needs. In fact, do you want to aggregate all the records together or just show them in a report? If this is the last option which suits the more, you can include the request id in the structure of your query and then hide it in the properties.
If you just want to aggregate the records all together, the BW process will perform it for you.

1) Stop the load first.check the job log and st22 if htere any shor dumps
2) go to the *8 gnerated infosource...
3) createa New IP.with the option as PSA and datatarget
4) it will take little time but it wont fail..
5) this will process package by package...

ODS to CUBE data failed

Hi,
Iam transfering the data from ODS to CUBE with out using PSA, data is coming to ODS properly but from ods to cube delta update is failed how should u updated from ods to cube with out distrubing the delta, plz clarify my dought, i will appreciate your help.

Hi,
We should find out the reason for uploading error. We can get the information sonetimes form M0nitor or from SM21 or from ST22. So find the cause of failure first.Then we can think about the solution to that problem.

ODS and cube data

Hi All,
Please let me know the difference between ODS and Cube practically with a simple example. I red and know diferences but I did't get the concept.
1. What detail level reporting. How ODS supports this and not in Cube?
2 .When we go for ODS(daily/latest info) and Cube(monthly/ aggreated info )?
3.Where can we see the diff. I know overwrite & addition?
Please explain me with example.Surely I will assign points.

I generate report on ODS, but we I can't see any details. It shows only latest info , what we have in Active table.
We can do the same detailed in info cube also, if we check DB aggregation.
I have a doubt:
customer orders in a day :
CID PRICE QTY DAY
C01 5 15 2007.05.03
C01 5 25 2007.05.03
C01 5 35 2007.05.03
C01 5 45 2007.05.03
we load this 4 times and overwrites evry time and see the latest record.
In ods : we can see :this only : latest :
C01 5 45 2007.05.03
In Cube: we can see
CID PRICE QTY DAY
C01 5 15 2007.05.03
C01 5 25 2007.05.03
C01 5 35 2007.05.03
C01 5 45 2007.05.03
and if we check DB aggregation. we can see
C01 5 120 2007.05.03 (summed all)
With my know knowlege we can see detail BW report on cube . all 4 records we can see , but in ODS we ca see this rec
C01 5 45 2007.05.03 only
Please explain , how ODS support detail record and cube supports summarized.

Is cube get data from change log / active table of ODS ; remmber both are delta loads.

1.WHEN DATA IS FIRST LOADED IN TO THE ODS IT IS PRESENT IN THE ACTIVE DATA TABLE,
2.WHEN YOU LOAD IT INTO THE CUBE CUBE WE HAVE TO ACTIVATE IT THAN THE DATA COMES TO THE CHANGELOG TABLE,
3. FROM THE CHANGELOG TABLE THE DATA GOES TO THE CUBE.

ODS vs Cube Data

Hi Experts,
I have a query on Data between ODS and a cube.
I have only one row for a material number in the ods but has got many rows in the cube with negative (minus) sign on the key figures and when i use the aggregate option then the number of rows in cube and ods are same and with the exact result in both.
But where from these negative values fields come up which after summation gets removed as there is only one row in the ODS below it.
lets say for example
In ODS
Matnumber           plant                      Quantity
1                              Y                            3
In cubde
MatNumber                Plant                           Quantity
1                                   Y                                     3
1                                  Y                                     0
1                                    Y                                    3-
1                                   Y                                     3
because 30(-3)+3 = 3
and thus the aggregated result comes to be
MatNumber Plant Quantity
1          Y       3
now where dose these extra records come from and after aggregating i get the same result as of ODS
please clarrify how does these records with minus sign comes when there is only one row for paritcular material in the ODS below the cube

How to make cube data avilable for reporting

Hello,
I have loaded data in to info cube from flat file, and created a query using BEx Analyzer. that query does not return results and gives an error msg "No Applicable Data Found".
Padmanabha Rao had a same problem. In his thread, expert is recommending to check whether the data is available for Reporting by Rt clicking Infocube -> Manage -> Requests tab. Ideally, you'll be able see an indicator(Query icon) if it's available for reporting.
My cube data is not available for reporting, how can I make it available for reporting?

Normally when the data gets loaded to cube, it will be available for reporting unlike DSO where you need to activate the data to make it available for reporting. There could be many reasons why the data is not available for reporting;
1. May be there is aggregrates created on the cube and the data never been rolled up to the aggregates. If you see a summation sign next to the cube then there is aggregates created on the cube and you need to fill the aggregates first before you can have the data available for reporting in the cube. To do that, manage ->rollup and start, that will fill the aggregates.
2. If there is any request in the cube which is still red, then any request after that won't be available for reporting until you either delete the red request.
If the problem still persist, then I would just delete all the data from the cube and reload the data again.

Update data form ODS to cube/ODS

HI,
we are in 3.5
we get delta records from the data source 2lis_02_itm to the ods 0pur_o01.
and from the ods 0pur_o01 the data will be updated to the data targets 0pur_c07,0pur_c08,0pur_o02.
when we observed on 23.04.2008,there is a bad request on 18.04.2008,so all the requests from 18th are not available for reporting,and the data mart status(tick mark) in the ODS 0PUR_O01 is not available
today we deleted the red(18.04.2008) request from ODS 0PUR_O01,and activated the ODS,now all the requestes are available for reporting.
the issue is data is not further getting updataed into the data targets from the ODS 0PUR_O01 to 0pur_c07,0pur_c08,0pur_o02
Please give the solution to resolve the issue

Hi,
As I understood ur problem there was one request loaded to ODS 0PUR_O01 and on top of it there are still some requestes loaded and they were fine, now you have deleted the bad request in between. isn't it like that??
1. If there is a bad request in ODS data will not be loaded further, means no requests exists in cube from 18th onwards
Sol: In this case you have to delete all the requests from ODS and have to load from PSA starting from 18th (failed one 1st and then in sequence as they were laoded to BW), then activate the ODS, these activated requests will not have datamart tick mark. Then u schedule delta load to other data targets...

My query is built on multiprovider. The data flow is data source u2013 ODS then ODS u2013 Info cube and multiprovider contains Info cube only.
Data in ODS, Info cube ans Multiprovider(List cube) are in Sync.
The query results are not tie up ODS, Info cube ans Multiprovider(List cube).
Any one let me know why this is happening and how do I resolve it.

Delta load from ODS to cube failed - Data mismatch

Hi all
We have a scenario where the data flow is like
R/3 table - >dataSrc -- > pSA - >InfoSrc -> ODS ->Cube.
The cube has an additional field called "monthly version"
and since it is a history cube , it is supposed to hold data
snapshots of the all data in current cube for each month .
We are facing the problem that the Data for the current month
is there in the history ODS but not in the cube . In the ODS ->Manage->requests
tab i can see only 1 red request that too with 0 recs.
However ,In the cube -> manage-> reconstruction tab , i can see 2 Red request
with the current month date. Could these red requests be the reason for
data mismatch in ODS and cube .
Please guide as to how can i solve this problem .

Load to Cube is Delta and goes daily .
Load to ODS is a full on daily basis .
Can you help me how to sort this issue . I have to work directly in production env . so has to be safe and full proof .

Data loading from ODS to CUBE

Hi All,
I have loaded data from ODS to CUBE. now i have requirement to add some fields in the standard cube. so, for testing purpose i have created copy of the original and created transformation . now when i try to load data from ODS it shows me no more data available . while data is already there in ODS.
now what should i do ? i don't want to delete data from original cube. is there any other way to load data through transformation ?

Hi,
Check the DTP of old cube n see whether its Delta. If yes then check whether any one of the foll is check:
1) get delta only once
2) get data by request.
If 1 is checked then delta wont come for the second cube as it says to get delta once and delta is already in one of the cube.
Generally both should be unchecked but can vary as per requirements.
Now for your new DTP, i dont think it will aloow you to change to FULL.
If its allowing you to select FULL, then select it and select from acive table.
try to load and see.

Report does not show data , but data exists in the cube.

I have a situation where I could not show the data in the report. When I load data from an extractor 0CO_OM_WBS_1 into a Cube directly I am able to show the data in my report. When I load the same extractor to a DSO and from the DSO when I load it into the Cube, the data does not show up in the query. To check the data I use the same restriction and could see the data reside in the cube (LISTCUBE). I compressed the requests, still it is not showing up in the query. No aggregates create on the cube.
It shows the data if I load directly from the extractor, but not when I load data thru DSO.
Any ideas.

i have created a generic DS, i loaded the data to DSO then CUBE.
data is loaded succesfully and i can see data in CUBE ( Manage ), when i am running the repory i am not getting data.

How to load data from a ODS to CUBE Request ID - by - Request ID?
The problem is that... some requests had been eliminated of the cube and the delta control between the ODS and CUBE was lost. The flag "data mart status of request" of all the requests of the ODS had been blank.
Now it is necessary to load some requests from the ODS for the cube.
Notes:
- it is not possible to make a complete load selecting the data to be loaded;
- the PSA is not being used;
- considering the data volume it is impracticable to reload the cube completely.

Considering the following:
-> the delta control was lost;
-> the data already are active in the ODS;
-> part of the data of the ODS already is in the cube.
The indicated procedure it only guarantees the load of the data that are in the ODS and that are not in the cube.

Error in updating data from ODS to CUBE.

I am tryin to load data manually from ODS to CUBE in NW2004s.
This is a flat file load from the datasource to the ODS and then from the ODS to the CUBE.
In the CUBE, I am trying to populate fields by using the ODS fields.
For eg.
In the ODS, a CHAR Infoobject has the data in the timestamp format(i.e. mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm ). I need to split this data and assign them to the two individual DATE and TIME Infoobject in the CUBE.
For this, I have done the coding in the Transfer Structure in the Rule Group.
The time field is gettin populated , but the date field is not getting populated.
I get an error as Eg:
Value '04052007' for CHAR 0DATE is not plausible
Due to this, the corresponding records is not getting displayed
Also, the records where the time id displayed, the date is not getting displayed inspite of the date being correct.
Please help me with a solution for this.

SAP accepts the date format in YYYYMMDD, so in the routine where you have concatenate the day month year...just do it in reverse order.....

Error while loading data from write optimized ODS to cube

Hi All,
I am loading data from a write optimized ODS to cube
I have done Generate Export Datasource
schedulled the info packge with 1 selection for full load
then it gave me following error in Transfer IDOCs & TRFC
Info IDOC 1: IDOC with errors added
Info IDOC 2: IDOC with errors added
Info IDOC 3: IDOC with errors added
Info IDOC 4: IDOC with errors added
Data packege 1 arrived in BW Processing : selected number does not agree with transferred number
Processing below is green
shows update of 4 new records to Datapackage 1.
Please provide inputs for the resolution

From the source system, there are several types of messages that can be differentiated by the so-called Info-IDoc-Status. The IDoc with status 2 plays a particular role here; it describes the number of records that have been extracted in a source system and sent to BI. The number of the records received in BI is checked against this information.
